⇒BACKGROUND: Etsuko grew up in Kyoto, but she moved around a lot as a kid, ending up living in Washington with some of her family for over 4 years. She moved back to Kyoto with her parents and brother. She always had a passion in dancing, so when she saw SM was having auditions in Korea, she went behind her parents back and auditioned, getting in.

⇒FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Etsuko thought Johhmy was very nice and he made her laugh. She knew him well already because of seeing him in various things before she joined SM. Johnny smiles when she first laughed at his terrible joke. He knew she has a great sense of humour and he loved it when she smiled. Johnny also thought she was very pretty.
