>Something was off.
>Akko couldn't quite put her finger on it, but today Amanda was a little too excited.
>At first, during breakfast, she had to show off by sliding down the stair's railing, earning her another day of peeling potatoes.
>Later she would skip class, which wasn't unusual, except for the part where she showed up in her broom next to the classroom's window, wearing the attire she had used to sneak into Appleton Academy, which was particularly annoying because she was trying to focus on something at that time. This earned her an entire week of peeling potatoes.
>Then, Hannah had been looking at the floor all the time. She wouldn't speak more than two words and she had not been sarcastic or mean about Akko in the whole day!
>She was thinking hard, something she didn't usually do, and so the conversation in the room halted.
>It was already past curfew. The green team was hanging out in Akko's room, and they had been having fun.
>Now they were all looking at the brunette, who was staring quite intensely at Amanda.
>"Akko?" Lotte lightly tapped her arm "Do you feel ok?"
>Akko snapped out of her thinking. "Uhm- Yes, hehe" She scratched the back of her head as a nervous habit. "It's just that Amanda was really weird today" She confessed.
>Everyone in the room then looked to Amanda, who was blushing lightly.
>"O-Oh yeah?" Amanda laughed nervously "I dunno, I didn't do anything different I think..."
>"Well, besides constantly checking out Hannah, I'd say that's mostly true" Sucy said in a cold voice, but the hint of a smile was showing at the corner of her lips.
>This time the taller of the girls looked down, flustered.
>Akko looked at everyone's faces. She didn't understand. What was...?
>"Oh!" Suddenly, things clicked together in her head. "So you were showing off to impress Hannah!" Akko punched her palm "And Hannah knew you were doing that for her! That's why she was so quiet!"
>Amanda looked up, surprised. When she wanted, the brunette could be quite keen in the details. This was something she wouldn't say to her face, but it was pretty obvious that Akko wasn't stupid, she just worked different than most people.
>Sucy smirked. Lotte was blushing even harder than Amanda while writing something down in a notepad. Constanze and Jasminka were unfazed.
>"Wait, does this mean you like Hannah?" Akko asked, still failing to pick up on the mood.
>Amanda was going to reply with some snarky remark, but her mind went blank. Instead, she decided to tell the story of what had happened the day before.
>"So that's why Hannah dissapeared" Lotte commented "Barbara was so worried..."
>"So, did you two do it or what?" Sucy asked. Akko didn't pick up on the implication, but Lotte froze mid-sentence. Amanda widened her eyes in surprise to such a blunt question.
>"No, all I did was kind of hug her, like I told you." She hugged her knees. "I think I may have scared her off. Man, I'm such an idiot." She said that in a lighthearted manner, but it was pretty obviously serious.
>The little Constanze suddenly perked up, taking off her goggles and pressing some kind of button within them.
>She then took out a square of white paper, no bigger than her palm, and a little ray of pale-green magic light shot out of the goggles, filling the paper with... A picture?
>Jasminka took a peek at it and giggled. "That's nice" She commented in her calm voice, and kept eating from her bag of apparently infinite snacks.
>Amanda, curious, peeked at it too. It WAS a picture, even if it was kind of blurry. It was, however, easy to tell what it was about: About half a classroom, from someone's perspective. In front of the camera was the blue team. Hannah was looking at the window with a big blush on her face, smiling.
>"What does this have to do with...?"
>The short witch pointed at one of the upper corners, and there it showed the date and time the picture was taken.
>"That's when I..." Amanda shutted her lips, suddenly feeling a lot more confident. Yes, it was a picture of when she had showed up in her suit earlier. So Hannah had liked that! "But wait..:" Amanda looked at Constanze with a raised eyebrow "Did you just happen to take a picture of that moment?"
>Constanze shaked her head, showing her goggles. She was trying to explain that the goggles used magic to be able to instantly recall anything that was on their field of view, and the german witch had been using it to take pictures of the blackboards to study them later.
>Amused by this conversation, Akko approached to look at the picture. It was pretty good, even if...
>She suddenly snitched the picture out of Constanze's hand, growing red herself.
>"What..." The conversation was broken, and now all attention was back on Akko. "... the hell?"
>"N-Nothing! It's just that, well, if a teacher sees this they're going to take away Cons' goggles, right?" She said as nonchalantly as possible.
>Everyone could tell something felt off, but they were more interested in the romantic developments of the tall tomboy than on the shenanigans of the short tomboy.
>"But you really like her?" Lotte asked, curious "I mean, I'd never pictured you two..."
>"I didn't either" Amanda was quick to reply, defensive. "But the more I think about it the more I want to try it out, you know? Hannah is cute as hell, and I'm probably one of the few people who can break that sassy attitude of hers" She confessed.
>"Then why didn't you talk to her?" Akko asked, now back to her seat in the bed. Amanda looked down again. "Well, I was expecting her to come to me..."
>"Amanda, you can't do that!" Lotte chastizised Amanda by throwing her pillow at her "You have to go to her! If you wait too long, someone might take her from you!"
>The look of panick in the irish-american witch was a new one for everyone "W-what are you saying? Noone would..."
>"How are you sure? I know there are some girls who like Hannah out there, and they were going to ask her out..." Lotte was lying. She was just quoting a line from one of her novels, but Amanda didn't need to know that.
>The taller witch looked around, suddenly very self conscious. Should she go right now? Wait till morning? Hell, she wanted to go up to the Blue Team's room right now, but it was in the other wing of dorms and if someone catched her shit could go south.
>On the other hand, now that she had this information, she wouldn't be able to sleep.
>What to do, what to do...
>"Now I wonder if that letter Hannah recieved the other day was a love letter" Lotte continued, smiling on the inside.
>Amanda stood up in an instant and went to the door. "OkFineI'mGoingToTellHer" She stated so fast that she was barely coherent "Don'tYouDareFollowMe" She went out and closed the door with a bang.
>"Well, there she goes" Lotte giggled.
>"You two shouldn't expect her tonight" Sucy smirked, looking at the remaining green team members, who nodded in agreement.
>Akko was left confused, but she didn't care that much. She understood that Amanda liked Hannah and vice-versa. She needed no more.
>On the other hand...
>She looked again at Hannah's picture. Next to the auburn-haired witch it showed the invisible outline of someone hugging Diana, who was clearly flustered.
>'Note: Don't use invisibility spells in front of Constanze again.' She thought, making a paper ball out of the thing and throwing it in the trash.
