  1. Customizing Your OTT Navigator Experience: A Guide to some of its Features
  2. OTT Navigator is a popular streaming app that allows users to access a wide range of content from various providers. It has a number of features that can be customized to suit your preferences and improve your user experience. In this post, we will go over some of the key customisation options available in the latest version of OTT Navigator (1.6.9. 1).
  3. OTT Navigator Premium 1.6.9. 1 Downloader code: 987104
  4. Note: If you're using an older FireStick from the second generation or below, you'll need to find an older version to instal because 1.6.7. 7 was the last stable version that supported Android 5.
  5. To change the background wallpaper
  6. Go to Settings > Background image (wallpaper)
  7. From here, you have a few different options:
  8. No wallpaper: This will remove the current wallpaper and show a plain background.
  9. Random choice: This will select a wallpaper at random from the gallery.
  10. URL address: This allows you to use your own wallpaper by entering the URL of the image. You can find free wallpaper images on websites such as Unsplash or Pexels, or you can upload the image to a file hosting service such as Dropbox and use the URL from there.
  11. Select from gallery: This allows you to choose from a selection of 180+ wallpapers included in the app.
  12. Customising the Colour Palette Scheme
  13. Underneath the background setting, you will find the "colour palette scheme" option. This allows you to change the colour of the TV guide and when highlighting icons within the app. There are several different options to choose from, so you can experiment and see which one you prefer.
  14. To show the selected channel preview when on the TV guide
  15. Go to Settings > List settings
  16. Tick the box next to "Show selected video preview in the description"
  17. Then tick the box "Start video preview only when clciked. Second click will start fullscreen playback"
  18. This will display a preview of the selected channel in the TV guide once selected, allowing you to see what is currently playing and browse through the guide without the channel keep changing.
  19. You can also enable the audio for the selected channel preview by selecting the "Play audio"option further down in the "List settings" menu.
  20. To change how the TV guide is displayed
  21. Go to Settings > List Settings > How lists should be displayed
  22. From here, you can choose from a number of different display options, including grid view and list view.
  23. List settings menu
  24. Another useful setting in the "List settings" menu is "Select sort order". This allows you to change how channels are sorted in the TV guide. The "name (favourites first, then alphabetically)" option is a good choice for easy navigation.
  25. To improve the player interface
  26. Go to Settings > Player interface
  27. In the "Do not show buffering status" option, tick the box to enable it. This will remove the buffering status from the screen, making for a cleaner experience when loading a channel.
  28. Player settings
  29. In the "Player" settings, you will find the "Delay before quick-switching channels" option. This allows you to change the amount of time it takes to switch channels when using the quick-switching function. To use this function, press the left or right navigation pad on your remote when on a channel to switch up or down one channel.
  30. Electronic Program Guide
  31. If your playlist hasn’t populated an Electronic Program Guide (EPG), after several minutes after adding the server, you can try
  32. Go to Settings
  33. Select EPG teleguide
  34. Select Reload EPG teleguide to update the data for your provider
  35. If you want to add additional EPG sources, you can find some free options on GitHub. In OTT Navigator:
  36. Go to Settings > Provider
  37. Select the provider you want to add the EPG sources to
  38. Go to Provider Properties
  39. Scroll to the bottom of the page where you can add up to five EPG sources
  40. Once you have done this to the first playlist and to save time, you can add these sources to all of your playlists by selecting the refresh icon on the far right of the EPG source field in the provider properties of each playlist. Doing so will bring up a list of previously added EPG sources that you can select from.
  41. Note: not all providers will display EPGs and not all added ones will work.
  42. Categories and countries
  43. To customise the categories and countries that appear in your playlist, go to the "Settings" menu and select "Channel Management." In the "Visible Entities" section, you can remove any unwanted items from the list. This will allow you to control which categories and countries are visible in the playlist.
  44. You can also go to the ‘Live Stream” tab and rearrange the categories in any order you wish. To do so, highlight over the category you want to rearrange and press the menu button on the remote. Then select "Rearrange in the list."
  45. User experience level
  46. To improve the user experience, try enabling the "expert" user experience level in the settings menu. This will give you access to additional options. Additionally, disabling the "reuse cache for quick app start" option in the provider settings may also help to resolve any potential issues.
  47. In the extended settings, you can also try changing the stream technology to HLS (if available). This will allow the app to automatically adjust the stream according to your bandwidth. If HLS is not available on the server, you can switch back to the "auto" setting.
  48. Overall, OTT Navigator offers a variety of customization options to improve the user experience and make it easier to access your favorite content. From changing the background wallpaper and color palette scheme, to improving the TV guide and player interface, there are many ways to tailor the app to your preferences. Additionally, the expert user experience level and stream technology settings can further enhance your experience with the app. Experiment with the different options available and find the settings that work best for you.
