  1. I watched the world through the one-way mirror,
  2. Hoping they could notice me
  3. Like I saw them.
  4.
  5. I watched the world through the one-way mirror,
  6. Hoping they wouldn’t notice me
  7. When I have my own things to do.
  8.
  9. I watched the mirror,
  10. And wonder why it doesn’t show me.
  11.
  12. I open a book and begin to read
  13. And wonder why the book couldn’t be real.
  14. The stories, where everything is so much easier
  15. Simple, beautiful, and happiness found in the end…
  16.
  17. I saw the world around me like in a fragmented glass;
  18. Everyone was shattered, in separate pieces,
  19. I wish I could fix them…
  20.
  21.
  22. “At times I looked at the flickering eyes
  23. And wished they wouldn’t wane at dawn.
  24. At times I look at the everlight
  25. And wish it had the grace to forgive me.”
  26.
  27. “At times I look at the silvery circle
  28. And wish she could forgive herself.”
  29.
  30. “I look up to my sister,
  31. Wishing I could one day be just like her.”
  32. “I look up to her,
  33. Wishing she’d one day look back at me like a sister.”
  34. “I look up to my sister,
  35. Wishing she’d one day look at me as who I am.”
  36.
  37. “I wish every morning for a day
  38. Where there wouldn’t be bitter words and sullen hearts,
  39. A day I could be proud of
  40. To leave behind as my heritage to my children.”
  41.
  42. “I left behind the path I brought to myself
  43. By trampling onto those I despised.
  44. Now I have to find the right way to do it
  45. So I can achieve what I truly wish for
  46. And be content.”
  47.
  48. “I do my work for the sake of others
  49. But in the end I only saw
  50. How I almost discarded our own happiness.”
  51.
  52. “I looked at the place that was my home
  53. But I couldn’t find from myself the joy to call it my home.
  54. Maybe there once was warmth,
  55. But it has moved on.
  56. Maybe I should too.”
  57.
  58. “I couldn’t find the bravery to be happy in my home
  59. When I feared that I won’t belong there.”
  60.
  61. “Wherein else lies home
  62. Than where your heart can find peace?
  63. A place where you can be yourself.
  64. Were it on the road or under the roof,
  65. Old as childhood or new as tomorrow…”
  66.
  67. “So I had to be brave; not to be happy, but to be able to find real happiness elsewhere.”
  68.
  69. “Yet I can live without it
  70. Because I always carry those heartseeds with me,
  71. And they’ll always remind me of where I can rest
  72. Wherever I’ll be.”
  73.
  74. “And when I finally was brave enough to fly on my own,
  75. I found the life of my own, in the world truly my own,
  76. When I looked at the sky unfamiliar yet heartwarming
  77. I finally found what makes me happy.”
  78.
  79. “I kept on searching,
  80. And even if I had lived a life like no other,
  81. It finally reached its happy end only when I nearly gave up
  82. On finding you, my love…”
  83.
  84. “We were given the key to rebirth after all these years,
  85. To a life beyond scars of past and fear of unchanged tomorrow.
  86. Now we have a life anew ahead of us
  87. And we’ll certainly make it a good one.”
  88.
  89. “We may not always be there for each other.
  90. There may be time when we are on our separate ways
  91. But we are never alone.
  92. We won’t forget
  93. The ties we’ve bound together,
  94. The harmony we ensured.”
  95.
  96. “I want to see my mom happy.
  97. I want her to know
  98. That she can be proud of me.”
  99.
  100. “I may not be the strongest, or bravest, or most gifted
  101. But I won’t give up.
  102. I will make it true some day,
  103. So I can reach those above me,
  104. One day I will fly…”
  105.
  106. “One day my wings will reach my dreams.
  107. Whether it takes one more step ahead,
  108. Or one million leaps to the unknown,
  109. I will do it;
  110. Because I have someone who believes in me.”
  111.
  112. “I am no longer afraid of the corners of doubt
  113. That reminded me of the gray and joyless past.
  114. I have faith that it’ll turn out just fine in the end.
  115. And every time I am able to fill others’ hearts with the fuzzy warmth of fun
  116. I am sure I made the right choice.
  117. It makes me smile to see others smile.”
  118.
  119. “I’m back home, tired after the long day of work,
  120. But when I see her earnest smile welcoming me
  121. I can say it to myself:
  122. ‘This was a good day,
  123. And tomorrow will surely be even better.’”
  124.
  125. “Now when I look at the guardian in the sky,
  126. And the silvery circle that follows it,
  127. I look at the night that follows the most beautiful sunset,
  128. Now I can smile.
  129. Because finally, I can see that I am not alone…”
  130.
  131. “Time goes on, but we will face tomorrow at peace, with confidence and courage…”
  132.
  133. “Were it destiny that brought us together,
  134. Were it fate that gave us our direction in life,
  135. It’s up to us to take the first and final steps.
  136. It’s all up to us to choose what we do
  137. Right here, right now.
  138. And because we can decide for ourselves
  139. We will never forget;
  140.
  141. “We’ll always be together
  142. Because we are the magic that brought us together,
  143. And it’ll never die
  144. Because we are friends forever.”
  145.
  146.
  147. I see them in fragments of life:
  148. How all the little parts keep onto each others,
  149. Supporting themselves.
  150. So I don’t need to worry.
  151.
  152. I thank you for it.
