- Hoss would take a thoughtful drag from his cigar as he mulled over the matter at hand, clicking his teeth together with idle contemplation as he tapped his chin at that.
- It wasn't surprising after all; this was the way of things most days. They simply had to maintain constant vigilance, and follow through with the plans at hand.
- "I expected as much, better to know all things considered. It seems your fellows finally saw your worth Mister Tyranny, we will likely be trading you for our lost people shortly upon General Volkova's return."
- The Captain would take a drag from his cigar at that, clicking his teeth together with cheer as he mulled over the matter.
- "Once they return, we can process the trade. Shouldn't be too long, we'll wait here until then. Kill some time."
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Tyranny says, "As I expected."
- Tonak Botcher says, "Ah Tyranny"
- Tonak Botcher says, "Jail doesnt fit you."
- Tyranny says, "No. It doesn't."
- Tonak Botcher says, "Only thing that im lock up in is marriage bahahahaha"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Agreed."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "In truth, our chat was informative, it will be a shame to see you go."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "But if it gets my Captain back, it's a fair trade."
- Tyranny says, "Mmh."
- The Captain would take a comfortable seat upon his bench, dragging away idly at his cigar as the impromptu promoted officer did his best to manage the multi-faceted circumstance that presently fell upon them.
- Luckily, half his brain was machine, immune to stress and purely logical in that sense. While his creative flesh brain did get tired at times, the machine progressed forward until every last drop of juice was used up.
- "Color me curious, but how do you feel about this delayed response from them Mister Tyranny? Was this trade not as possible on the battlefield as it is now? Not that I mind of course, my Captain's survival is of utmost precedence."
- Hoss would nod lightly at that, taking an idle drag from his cigar.
- "We're really just waiting for General Volkova, and you will soon be free. I've learned much in our discussions, I am curious to see where the last of the proud warrior race goes from here."
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Go team."
- Tyranny says, "They were given a month. They've organized in that time. "
- Arch says, "Go team."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Yes, that is good."
- Arch asks, "Tyranny. You need a letter delivered?"
- Tyranny says, "No. "
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "We'"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "are going to be trading him for the Captain shortly."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Hopefully."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "We are waiting on General Volkova."
- Arch says, "Missin' your lovely predic-.. That's nice."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "If we can walk away without shooting each other, it won't hurt."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "There's time for that later."
- Arch asks, "Would that be fun in the slightest?"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Mildly."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "I suppose."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "But, so is getting our captain back."
- Arch says, "Maybe I'll get to punch Jaeger."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "So I can go back to being Lieutenant."
- Arch was clearly only nterested in one of those over the other.
- (Arch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Fair."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Yes we are just waiting for Tanya."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Come, take a seat Arch. Let's chat."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Sergeant Arch, that is."
- Sergeant Arch.
- In truth? The Corporal's face was a clean-slate. Expressionless and blank, devoid of all indication to how he felt about the sudden, and seemingly unearned promotion?
- "Huh..."
- Despite many, many scruples? Arch had made it.
- "Lieutenant." Well-practiced, the newly-minted Sergeant's form straightened and a salute was offered-...
- …
- How many direct orders had that man secretly broken?
- (Arch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The temporary Captain would nod lightly as he took a steady drag from his cigar, blowing a cloud of minty smoke up towards the distant rafters of the cells as the frontiersman clicked his teeth together steadily in contemplation. It wasn't a difficult decision in truth, there were only so many of his men as experienced as the giant.
- "It is a surprising qualification, but considering a captain, lieutenant, and sergeant, the former and later of which are from our squad, the fact that you've remained generally competent is a positive start."
- Hoss would nod steadily at that, taking a swig from his bottle of scotch before offering it to Sergeant Arch with a steady nod.
- "Besides, we're hunters at the end of the day. Being a bit rough and tumble as a non-commissioned officer is almost expected. It also means it's about time we spoke with research and development about getting you some chrono-accelerated kinetic-actuator gauntlets of some sort to fit your station. We must adapt to all the different facets of the campaigns to come."
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Grasping the offered bottle of scotch before taking a swig without an ounce of hesitation, the giant wouldn't aim to dispute the the man. Although, what would the Captain think about it all?! A question for later-...
- Arch clicked his tongue.
- "Survivability is somethin' I've mastered. Several wars passed me by, I've fought demons and journeyed from Esshar ta' the depths of the spirit realm …" Baseline? Arch was competent.
- A subtle and underlying competency..
- Nodding hastily at the mention of those kinetic gauntlets. "Always been interested in Barsburg's research and development-.. Gauntlets like those'll make me a force to be reckoned with." That? And utterly stylish.
- The bottle of scotch was offered back to the Temporary Captain.
- "Astounds me the Machine has been so acceptin' of a Yeti like myself-.." Or any local.
- (Arch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The Captain would take a steady drag from his cigar as he mulled over the matter against, puffing away at his minty roll as he considered the recent events with a hum. Despite being only twenty two years old himself, the stress had aged him to look in his mid thirties at least.
- Yet, he was what the machine required, and so he served.
- "Being a sturdy and reliable gear is a good way to work your way up the ranks of the empire Sergeant, you'll find it's an effective method. We take good care of our own."
- Hoss would nod at that.
- "Indeed. We'll likely need to test some prototypes with your person, but then, that's a given with science. It will aid in your advancement at the least."
- The captain would nod at that.
- "And the machine accepts all those who are willing, race is largely meaningless at the end of the day. In truth, even the thought of enslaving a civilized species isn't particularly fond in my view, I'd much rather we sought out the proud warrior race as allies. Purely from an educational viewpoint."
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Hard that believe that Arch had been on Esshar longer then his Captain was even alive, and survived it all. With a snap of his digits, flame manifest. Raised toward the cigarette hanging from between his lips.
- "Don't mind prototypes or experimentation, if it's all in the name of science and progress? So be it." For Arch's own advancement, No less? Nothing could come between him and that.
- "Enslavin' a civilized species leads to resentment. Slaves'll rebel within due time-.. Anyhow, I don't just mean race. Esshar is filled to the brim with unsavory folks! Yet, if willing? They've been accepted into the fold."
- Nothing that Osrona would ever consider.
- "Even tha' nobles of Oz prior to the war looked down upon me with distrust."
- (Arch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The Captain would take a long, thoughtful drag from his cigar as he mulled over the matter at hand, considering the notion for a time as he clicked his teeth together. The Sergeant was older by far, grizzled, experienced in the lands. He'd be an asset to the company's dealings as a non-commissioned officer.
- "Exactly so. Might even be able to fix some of your old wounds, make you a proper bionic like myself or Lieutenant Zero...she really knows how to make augmentation look beautiful."
- Hoss would smile lightly at that, clicking his teeth together with a hum as he blew a cloud of minty smoke up towards the rafters with an ambient click of his teeth.
- "I'm not a fan of slavery, and if I become the general one day, I will abolish that statue of the mission. As a scholar, we once viewed demonkind as beasts incapable of true higher thought. But Tyranny's evolution is proof that that thesis is wrong, and if that's the case, thedirectives of the mission should be changed."
- Hoss would nod steadily, his opinion likely controversial all things considered. That was not for decades more than likely, a youthful scholar's idealism.
- "Many look down upon those they consider their lesser, but this is not in truth the way of the machine. Barsburg is in many ways a meritocracy in its policies, and that extends to the army here occupying the city of rust. We earn our keep, but those that do are uplifted, given a chance to work towards a world not bound by the laws of the gods, but of men and the divine power of industry."
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "..."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Screw it."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "No time to wait."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Arch, I need you to send a message to the Dreadwoods."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "That we're willing to make the trade, Tyranny for the captain, at a neutral location. "
- Arch says, "-- So be it."
- Arch asks, "Letter or vocal?"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Vocal."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "And."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Wait for Tonak."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "He's coming."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "You two will broker the deal, find the neutral grounds for the trade of."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Tonak, good timing.,"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "You and Arch will broker the trade."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "And the neutral spot to meet."
- Tonak Botcher says, "Ah that works"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Then return here, and we will all go to it for the trade off."
- Tonak Botcher says, "Good to see you Arch"
- Arch says, "Indeed it is.."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Getting our captain back."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Move like the wind you two."
- Blackjack says, "Oh, that's great to hear."
- Tonak Botcher says, "So"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "He is captured."
- Tonak Botcher asks, "We getting to the girl or Krill?"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "And yes, return and tell them we'll make the trade."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Kiril."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Kiril for Tyranny"
- Tonak Botcher says, "Alright "
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, ".Both allive."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "That's what matters right now."
- Tonak Botcher says, "So a message"
- Tonak Botcher says, "Gotcha"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Indeed, as I recall you're slated for execution."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "I'm a bit fuzzy on the details."
- Tonak Botcher says, "Alright"
- Tonak Botcher says, "Business time"
- Tonak Botcher says, "Arch send the message"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "*would nod, gesturing for Tyranny to follow as the cell door was opened."
- Gallagher would nod, gesturing for Tyranny to follow as the cell door was opened.
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Tyranny says, "My collar."
- Tyranny says, "Undo it."
- Tyranny says, "Or, show that you have the remote."
- Gallagher would gesture the controls, nodding lightly.
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Tonak Botcher asks, "Tyranny feeling a bit better?"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "It's best we don't take too many. I'll grab Sergeant Avery and Arch with us."
- Arch says, "I have to alert them."
- Arch asks, "Beach, right?"
- Arch says, "Where is Avery.."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Just a minute."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "He should be arriving in a moment."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Alright, let's move out."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Lead the way."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "To the beach."
- Gallagher J. Hoss exclaims, "Tally ho Tonak!"
- Desmond Eisenhand says, "Hu... guess we're doing an exchange."
- Gallagher J. Hoss asks, "Where's Arch?"
- Avery says, "We should bring another..."
- Gallagher J. Hoss asks, "Another beyond myself, you and Arch?"
- Tonak Botcher says, "Ready"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "True."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Orion come."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Why not."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Sergeant Orion."
- Arch says, "I'll meet up with you all."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "We have a mission."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Come."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "We're getting our captain back."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Alright lead the way Tonak."
- Orion Izar says, "Right behind you, sir."
- Desmond Eisenhand says, "Alrighty then...."
- Tyranny asks, "Where is the remote, Hoss?"
- Tyranny says, "Hoss. "
- Gallagher would gesture the remote to Tyranny.
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Tyranny says, "Where. Is the remote."
- Tyranny says, "I see."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Tyranny, I am a man of my word."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "You will not be duped."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "We have a gentleman's respect, you and I."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "I enjoyed our chat."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "I hope we may yet confer again one day."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "You offered me much insight."
- Tonak Botcher asks, "Message was sent right?"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Go double check."
- Tonak Botcher says, "We be back"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Of course."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "We'll be here."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "I'm glad in truth you weren't betrayed Tyranny."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "From what it sounds like, you've dealt with it often."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Even if delayed, it's for the best. We all get what we want."
- Tyranny says, "I am still missing an arm."
- Tyranny says, "Not that it would stop my killing when the collar comes off, but you know."
- Tyranny says, "Two arms are better than one."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "True. I'll send you a new one in the mail."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "I was in truth considering."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "What a magitek arm might do for you..."
- Gallagher J. Hoss exclaims, "You could punch people and they'd just explode!"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Science."
- Tyranny says, "Soulless."
- Gallagher J. Hoss asks, "No, you're still you aren't you?"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "It's the same as a weapon, but to push your own body further for the task at hand."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Plus machine spirits exist, all animation possesses a form of life, if in the form of energy."
- Tyranny says, "It's not what I want."
- Tyranny says, "At all."
- Tyranny says, "I'll regenerate in time."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Hmm."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "True."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "You know."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "You should regenerate a biological sword arm."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Now that'd be nifty."
- Tyranny asks, "Why would I do that?"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "To stab people with probably."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Though I suppose."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Then you couldn't hold anything."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Nevermind, idea scrabbed."
- Tonak Botcher says, "Everyone not to close please."
- Eugo La Ravias says, "There isn't much to discuss hand over our King and get your cogs."
- Tonak would look to everyone.
- "Please this situation is not one for fighting. Keep it neutral so everyone goes home."
- He point.
- "No fighting. No fighting. No fighting."
- Then he look to them all.
- (Tonak Botcher)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Eugo drifts his gaze towards Tyranny.
- (Eugo La Ravias)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The temporary Captain Hoss would appear to have set up a fine dining table laden with plentiful, well cut steaks and high quality brandy as he awaited the arrival of their guests; the frontiersman nothing if not one to make good use of the nice beach weather.
- "Yes, you are right. A businessman, I can respect that. I cam Captain Hoss, and we are here in peace. Your king for our men. We are not here to fight. And feel free to have some steak and scotch, I had my fill."
- The captain would nod steadily, offering a gesture to Tyranny without any funny business. It was clear everyone here knew what they wanted, they weren't the drama queens of Myllenoris.
- "How about they walk across the line at the same time, sound good to all of you? That way none of us get jumpy, and we can all leave here without anymore headaches."
- A line was drawn between the two parties at that.
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Arriving, unveiled by the blanket of darkness. Only the moon-light came to give the group notice, if well... Tonak shouting, floating about. Wasn't enough.
- But even with their evil introduction ruined. The ascended's gaze softened as they met with the kings. A moment of silence as they glanced over in direction of the two captives.
- "I shall be humble... In this situation. If only for regards for the king. Yes? I will release... Batu, first. Then you release the king. Kirill? Will follow soon after. Rest assured... If I wanted violence? You would have felt such upon my arrival."
- Without much desire to eat, humane foods. Like the temporary captain seemed to be indulging in. The woman could only abide with the mutual feelings.
- Of cutting straight to the point and getting this ordeal over with.
- "I've no desire to drink... I can save such celebrations for when I return back to the woods." Raising a hand that'd finally finished rummaging around their satchel. Revealing two remotes in hand.
- (Irkalla)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Out of the dreary Dreadwoods that had become the usual image that painted his sights, and into the fresh air of non corruption. Boots continued to lead the way behind his captors, cerulean orbs scanning around the area.
- Until they came upon lights within the dark.
- The beach already holding a welcoming party, familiar faces scanned across the faces of those here, a short nod thrown out towards Gallagher. The Lieutenant that seemed to always be ready with a plan.
- He had come prepared, clearly. A dining table already filled with the man's favourite steaks, the brandy that was gradually becoming a signature spotted out.
- But the captain wouldn't speak, wouldn't offer any words for those that were here.
- (Kirill pyr Orlov)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Avery simply gave a nod of understanding towards the Demons, only letting a single smile go through as he looks towards the Captain that was there.
- Batu, was given a simple smirk, but nothing of higher-importance. Even though Cecilia was not apart of the trade deal; there was always another idea that was there.
- It was amusing, to say the least.
- (Avery)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Bound by no ropes, a singular collar was located on their neck. Other then that, it seemed there was little obviously different by Batu, save their expression of contempt. Having dealt with the demons and their 'lovers' the entire time of capture had been an ordeal in itself to them.
- Fingers lightly tapped against their collar, a turn of the head taking a long look at Kirill. It seemed that his squad was a bit more...Pro-active, as he truly saw none of their own nearby.
- One step, two steps, he found himself ever-closing towards the line, only awaiting for the approval from their side.
- "I still have my collar on, Witch Demon." Briefly their situation was stated to Irkalla, his head swiveling in their direction.
- (Batu)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:20] Nako grabs onto Tonaks sleeve putting back on her mask nervously.
- (Nako Aisuru)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Arms crossed, the Sergeant simply stays silent on the side, eyes scanning those from the Dreadwoods. Deep down, he's actually relieved to not see the Fortune Teller ot he Mimic in their ranks right now. A small ammount of fear had been developed towards those two.
- That makes the target of his gaze to become Fari though, the one who branded him. His chest seems to burn slightly at the memory.
- (Orion Izar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Despite the darkness the light of the moon shone clearly on the monstrosity before them although at this point Eugo was holding no hostility in towards the group at the moment at least.
- (Eugo La Ravias)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Tyranny reclines in the air, tugging at his collar and looking to Hoss.
- "Lets get this going, I'm growing tired of missing an arm and having this thing on."
- (Tyranny)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The temporary captain would take an idle drag from his cigar as he mulled over the matter, his candor clearly respectful of the ascended demons as he tipped his hat to them. There was not the usual Barsburg sneer of superiority; a clear tell that Hoss was a scholar first, and a soldier second.
- "That seems perfectly reasonable to me. Batu walks, then the king, then the captain, and at last the arcanium is given to you in good faith. We all leave here and everything works out."
- The captain would nod at that.
- "And as good Tyranny says, yes, let's do this quick and easy. No need to force him to tolerate our mortal stench any longer than necessary."
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Eugo La Ravias says, "We can release the collars once we're on our way to leave."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Yes, I'll do the same."
- Arch heavily considered yanking that bird out of the air.
- (Arch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Had it not been for the woman's own plans already seeing fruition. The rather casual demeanor of the group would be something they took note of. However, overlooking it for the time-being. They raised their thumb over the release command in batu's collar.
- Allowing them to walk without speaking much further than what actions they took.
- "Arcanium you say? Well... I'm unsure whether this is a deal... Or you've come to ask me for a date." With a smile they left the first useless controller to fall to the ground, crushed beneath the woman's heel.
- "Now then... Release the king? And the captain will follow quickly after." Gesturing for the man to step beside her all the while.
- (Irkalla)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Tyranny exclaims, "Oh by the dark lord- Get this over with!"
- Batu makes their way across the line.
- (Batu)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Arch exclaims, "You're still so impatient!"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Pfffft."
- Irkalla says, "You have to be... Poetic at times. When dealing with humans."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "*would wink.* "
- Tonak Botcher says, "Well"
- Orion takes the message with an annoying expression and barely holds a scowl in as he brings his hand to his back and crumples the paper before placing it in his pocket.
- (Orion Izar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Irkalla says, "Right then... All is well! "
- Avery says, "... I'm more offended that you would date the guy with an eyepatch over a guy with metal knees."
- Avery says, "Tuh."
- Avery says, "Tuh."
- Tyranny says, "Tuh."
- Irkalla says, "..."
- Tyranny says, "Imagine, dating."
- Irkalla says, "I can only wonder how you got those."
- Claudia says, "King Tyranny... I can help attach a new arm when we get back."
- Gallagher would release the restraints on Tyranny once Batu had crossed the line and he had as well.
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Arch says, "Agreed-.. imagine datin'."
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "And yes, Tonak can handle the arcanium He's an effective one."
- Tyranny says, "Please do."
- Tyranny says, "Now, mine. "
- Tonak would look to them all.
- "Business is settled. You all have your perspective people. Time to go home and release collars when you are away from one another. Do not try to do anything else. I like my butter and bread smooth."
- He look at them.
- "Done deal."
- (Tonak Botcher)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Tyranny says, "HOss. "
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "That's me."
- Tyranny says, "Unlock my collar."
- Gallagher J. Hoss asks, "I did?"
- Tonak Botcher exclaims, "Go home!"
- Tonak Botcher says, "Everyone"
- Tonak Botcher says, "I am a tired ooker"
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Fair."
- Irkalla released kirill right after tyranny was released. Alls finished now... Right!?
- (Irkalla)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Gallagher would nod as this tense stand off reached its end.
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Avery would go and collect the destroyed Anti-Magic Restraint, only putting it around his neck as a sign of good faith.
- (Avery)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Gallagher J. Hoss says, "Pleasure doing business with you."
- The collar snaps and falls to the floor, and with a great unleashing of power is his darkness released.
- "Now, stay away from our woods. Walter and I are even, and I could disembowel all of you. Fuck off, and stay fucked off."
- (Tyranny)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- In an interaction that went easy and quick, quicker then what he could ever imagine, the man was released. If one thing surprised him, it was how little pain they had to actually go through, physically.
- "...Surprised to say I'm glad to be 'here'." A hand motioned towards Osrona itself, a place he had once detested a lot more then now.
- "But compared to those woods, this place is great." Slowly but surely he began moving, a brief salute offered to the men at the table. Some were his superiors, equals, and even inferiors.
- "You all have my thanks, I'm going to go rest now...As that place was mentally damaging, exhausting. There are..." A pause, fingers pinching the bridge of his nose.
- "Not a lot of smart people with demons, this I've learned."
- (Batu)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Osrona.
- A city he didn't expect to ever miss, and yet here he was. The fatigued captain led the way back into the city, his missing cap allowing bloodied, dirty blue-locks to be visible to all.
- Clearly captive wasn't kind, the gaunt like look combining with a hardened gaze.
- "It is good to be back, Avery."
- Words he never thought would leave his lips, and yet here he was. A seat claimed around the table as the tension that previously coiled, prepared to strike at a moments notice finally rested for the first time within weeks.
- "Rest, Lieutenant. You have more than earned it."
- (Kirill pyr Orlov)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Batu says, "...You too, Captain."
- Gaunt, fatigued and bloodied. Gazing at the captain, it became evident that the Dreadwoods? A bleak, and torturous place. Unsurprising given the inhabitants-..
- While business and usual and duty could resume?
- The uniform-less soldier made a simple inquiry.
- "Do you require medical attention, Captain..?"
- (Arch)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The Lieutenant would make the forced march back home to Osrona with a smile wide upon his visage, his duties as Captain at last relieved with his commander's return. Offering a salute to both Batu and Kirill, he'd nod firmly with a flash of his teeth.
- "I couldn't have organized it all without Avery's work, Mister Tonak's bargaining, and all of our work to get you gentlemen back. It was a team effort, but the machine provides. I am happy to be relieved of my duties, I return to being the Lieutenant of the Diamond Eagles."
- Hoss would nod firmly at that, pouring a glass of scotch for the captain before pushing it across the table, smoking his cigar as he drank out of his bottle with a chuckle.
- "All in a day's work, mission accomplished men."
- (Gallagher J. Hoss)
