- Description: Rodney and his friend Larry were sitting in his car after arriving at the Berry Bowl bowling alley, when Ervin approached and asked Rodney if they were waiting for someone. When Rodney replied that they were about to go inside, Ervin pulled out a pistol and shot Rodney in the neck, before threatening Larry, who fled inside the bowling alley.
- Ervin knocked on Madeleine’s door, forcing his way inside when she answered. He then stabbed her to death, before fleeing the scene.
