- Barring crits, ideally will have only used 11-12 HBs, 11 SURFs, and have minimized Super Effective text. Can save a few more Surfs in Morty's gym to be safe in the event you hit Ernest, or you can simply plan to not hit him.
- You can still teach Strength when pause buffering Kaylee (over Water Gun), or you can try to couple it with Super Potion in Cianwood Gym to save going into the menu. Ice Punch can be delayed until teaching Fly (if Strength is taught at Kaylee), or taught with Strength in Cianwood Gym. If ran out of HB PP, Strength can still be taught in the normal fashion of course.
- Leftover HBs can be used in Cianwood Gym, and provide useful flinch chances on Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Machoke, as well as Primeape (L25) and Poliwrath if Strength is taught over Water Gun. Alternatively, Headbutt can be used on Growlithes in the Lighthouse to save Super Effective text, if preferred.
