  3. Overall Summary: Soma's a wonky character. He's got the speed and mobility of a lightweight character, but the slow, high damage, long reach attacks of a heavyweight. Plus he's got a soul steal mechanic!

  5. Walk Speed: B
  6. Weight: C
  7. Jump Control: C (Height), C (Double Jump), A (Fast Fall), B (Floatyness)
  8. Air Control: B (Control), B (Speed)
  9. Dodge Roll / Air Dodge: B (speed) B (ending lag) D (distance) (Based off his back dash)

  11. Stat Summary: He's a bit fast, but also maneuverable and floaty.

  13. NORMALS:

  15. Jab: Two short sword strikes, followed up with a whirring sawblade in front of him (Disc Armor Soul). Sword strikes come out quickly but have somewhat lengthy end lag. The sawblade animation is very lengthy and can be punished if there's another enemy behind him.

  17. Dash: Soma activates the Black Panther soul, increasing his movement speed and damaging enemies he dashes through. You can mash A to lengthen this, and you can dash dance while using this. Hits multiple times but does very low damage and knockback.

  19. Forward Tilt: Soma manifests a manticore tail that lashes in front of him. The tail has long range and is an overhead strike, but sourspots in close range and can straight up miss low hitbox enemies directly in front of him

  21. Up Tilt: Throws a giant skull in the air in a short ranged arc. Not much end lag.
  22.  
  23. Down Tilt: Does a kick-slide, like Simon/Richters. Lower range, no followup, but can kick the giant skull up tilt, launching it forwards.

  25. AERIALS:

  27. Normal: Attack in front of him with the Nebula.

  29. Forward: Soma swings a Bhuj in front of him in a slow, overhead arc. After using it, it lingers in front of him, so he can steer it into enemies. Long end lag but is land-cancelled of course.

  31. Up: Soma attacks upwards with a spear. Has a sweetspot a decent distance from him.
  32.  
  33. Back: Soma spins around and unleashes a medusa head that travels a short distance before disappearing.
  34.  
  35. Down: Flying Kick. Bounces off of enemies.

  37. SMASH ATTACKS:

  39. Forward Smash: After a lengthy delay, Soma uses the Gergoth soul to shoot a big laser with long range (Mii Gunner smash range).

  41. Up Smash: After a delay, Soma briefly vanishes, before appearing in the air, slamming down with his axe. Large vertical range, but lengthy animation with windup and end lag. (Axe-type weapon crash)

  43. Down Smash: Soma summons Alraune, which creates vines that spike upwards from the ground around him. Has super armor while Alraune is out.

  45. GRAB:

  47. Soma's grab is pretty standard.
  48.  
  49. Pummel: Soma knees the enemy for light damage.
  50.  
  51. Forward Throw: Soma transforms into Devil (Aria of Sorrow), and drags the enemy along the ground before launching them, like Ridley's Side+B but less travelling.
  52.  
  53. Back Throw: Soma leaps forwards, throwing the enemy behind him, and following up with a down-angled wave of fireballs.
  54.  
  55. Down Throw: Soma transforms into Curly, slams the enemy into the ground, and stomps on them twice. Curly's blades damage nearby enemies during the stomp.

  57. Up Throw: Soma throws the enemy upwards, then summons a harpy familiar above him that strikes forwards, launching the enemy forward.
  58.  
  59. SPECIALS:
  60.  
  61. B: Soma summons an armor from him that ORA ORAs after a very lengthy delay. He can move while this ability is active.
  62.  
  63. Side B: The most important special. Soma glows red and dashes forwards, grabbing enemies like Cpt Falcon's recovery. If it connects, he knocks the enemy back and gains dominance over their soul. Much like how Kirby's B copies the opponent fighter's B, this copies their Side B.
  64.  
  65. Up B: Hippogryph Leap. Tremendous vertical recovery, no damage, minimal horizontal control.
  66.  
  67. Down B: Time Slow. Charges up then creates an area flash. Enemies hit are in slow time (like Bayonetta's Witch Time except its not a counter). Flash is larger with extra charge, but duration is unchanged.

  69. FINAL SMASH:

  71. Dark Ascension: As the camera zooms in on Soma, numerous dark gray souls fly into him. He dashes forwards and knocks back the first enemy hit. After the enemy is knocked back a certain distance, game briefly pauses to show Soma transform into the Dracula's 2nd Form, and he ascends, shooting a wave of larvae projectiles directed at the knocked back enemy and all around them. Anyone hit by the larvae is knocked back a large distance when the attack ends. Soma doesn't transform unless he hits an enemy.
