「…200万キロメートル圏内に
敵影、熱源反応なし。
どうやら、逃げ切ったようです」
Eiji: ...No enemy readings within a 2 million kilometer radius. Looks like we managed to get away.

キリコ
「安心するのは、まだ早い。
混乱から立ち直ったら、すぐにでも
追撃隊が来るだろう」
Chirico: It’s too soon to relax. They’ll send out a pursuit force as soon as they’ve reorganized.

エイジ
「…ええ、そうでしょうね」
Eiji: ...Yeah, you’re probably right.

キリコ
「ところで、キロメートルとは何だ?」
Chirico: Also, what’s a kilometer?

エイジ
「ああ、距離の単位です。
僕とキリコさんは異なる文明圏の出身ですから…」
Eiji: Oh, it’s a unit of distance. You and I come from different civilizations, but...

エイジ
「どちらかに合わせるより、
これから行く目的地の単位系に
慣れておいた方がいいと思ったんです」
Eiji: I think it’ll be best if we try to use the same system of measurement the place we’re going to does, rather than use either of the ones we’re used to.

キリコ
「わかった。後で度量衡換算表をくれ」
Chirico: Alright. I’ll need a conversion table for weight and measurements later.

エイジ
「用意しておきます。
それにしても、母艦から脱出する時の手際、
鮮やかなものでした」
Eiji: I’ll get one for you. And, by the way, you were amazing when we were breaking out of the mother ship.

エイジ
「僕1人だったら、あそこまでは…」
Eiji: I would have never been able to get this far on my own...

キリコ
「…そうか」
Chirico: ...I see.

エイジ
「………」
Eiji: ...

キリコ
「………」
Chirico: ...

エイジ
(…相変わらず、あまり話してくれない人だな)
Eiji: (...Still not one for talking, huh.)

(An alarm sounds off.)

エイジ
「!」
Eiji: !

キリコ
「追っ手が来たか」
Chirico: Our pursuers have arrived.

エイジ
「ええ、[SPT]の部隊です。
あと3分で攻撃可能距離に入ります」
Eiji: Yeah, it’s an [SPT] squadron. They’ll be within attack range in 3 minutes.

キリコ
「レイズナーとやらは使えるのか?」
Chirico: Is the Layzner usable?

エイジ
「…すみません、コンピューターに
特殊なプロテクトが掛かっていて、
パイロット認証に時間を要します」
Eiji: ...Sorry, but the computer has a special type of protection system. It’ll take time to authenticate a pilot.

エイジ
「ベイブルとバルディも同じです」
Eiji: The same goes for the Baybull and the Buldy.

キリコ
「…そうか」
Chirico: ...I see.

(Chirico leaves.)

エイジ
「キリコさん!」
Eiji: Chirico!

エイジ
「まさか…たった1人で!?」
Eiji: He can’t be... All by himself!?


第1話
『逃亡』
Episode 1
Escape


(Scene starts on a map screen of space. Chirico is on the map in his Scopedog RSC and Eiji is off to the side inside the Tripod Carrier.)

エイジ
「キリコさん、1機では危険です!」
Eiji: Chirico, this is too risky for just one machine!

キリコ
「先制攻撃を許す方が危険だ」
Chirico: It’s more risky to give them the chance to attack first.

エイジ
「ですが…」
Eiji: But...

キリコ
「来るぞ」
Chirico: They’re here.

(Several Grados SPTs appear.)

グラドス兵
「あれが、脱走兵が奪ったキャリアか。
近くにいるのは…」
Grados Soldier: That’s the carrier the deserter stole, alright. And next to it is...

グラドス兵
「[ギルガメス]の[AT]だな。
何故、あんな物がキャリアに?」
Grados Soldier: Looks like a [Gilgamesh] [AT]. What’s something like that doing with the carrier?

グラドス兵
「まさか、あれが拿捕対象の新型機なのか?
だが、ATじゃ、SPTの相手に…」
Grados Soldier: That can’t be the new model machine they captured, can it? After all, an AT is no match for an SPT...

キリコ
「………」
Chirico: ...

(Chirico rushes the SPT squad and destroys one of them.)

グラドス兵
「あ、あのサイズで何て火力だ!
しかも、的確にコックピットを狙ってきた!」
Grados Soldier:  H-How can it be that small and have that much firepower!? And it was a perfect shot on the cockpit too!

グラドス兵
「各機へ!包囲殲滅するぞ!」
Grados Soldier: All units! Surround and annihilate it!

キリコ
「…遅いな」
Chirico: ...Too slow.

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

キリコ
「…全機、撃破」
Chirico: All units, destroyed.

エイジ
「凄い、あっと言う間に…」
Eiji: Incredible... It was over so fast...

エイジ
「キリコさん、戻って下さい。
今、ハッチを開けます」
Eiji: Chirico, please come back. I’ll open the hatch now.

キリコ
「…まだだ、第二波が来る」
Chirico: ...Not yet. The second wave is here.


(Scene ends.)

(Next scene picks up where it left off. Another squad of SPTs appear.)


グラドス兵
「先行部隊は全滅したのか!?
あんな小型機相手に!」
Grados Soldier: The advance force was wiped out!? By a unit that small!?

キリコ
「…その油断が命取りだ」
Chirico: ...Your carelessness will get you killed.

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

キリコ
「…エイジ、残る追撃機は?」
Chirico: ...Eiji, are there anymore pursuit units left?

エイジ
「トライポッド・キャリアの
索敵範囲には認められません」
Eiji: Nothing that the Tripod Carrier can pick up.

キリコ
「わかった、帰還する」
Chirico: Understood. I’m returning.

エイジ
「キリコさん1人に戦わせてしまって…」
Eiji: I can’t believe I let you fight all on your own...

キリコ
「それが仕事だ」
Chirico: It’s my job.

エイジ
「…すみません」
Eiji: ...I’m sorry.

キリコ
「それより何故、キャリアで先を急がなかった?」
Chirico: More importantly, why didn’t you go on ahead in the carrier?

エイジ
「何故って、戦闘が終わったら、
すぐ収容できるようにと思って」
Eiji: Why? I just thought I should get you back inside as soon as the battle was over.

キリコ
「敵は頭に血が上っていたようだ。
もし、奴らが二手に分かれ、一方が
キャリアに向かっていたら…」
Chirico: The enemies were getting riled up. If some of them had broke off and gone after the carrier...

キリコ
「俺のAT1機では防ぎ切れなかった」
Chirico: Then one AT wouldn’t have been enough to protect it.

エイジ
「それは…その通りです」
Eiji: That’s... That’s true...

キリコ
「お前には、
やらなければならないことがあるはずだ。
これからはそれを優先しろ」
Chirico: You have your own job to do. That needs to be your priority from now on.

エイジ
「はい…」
Eiji: Right...

キリコ
「ATの弾薬を補給しておく。
ここは任せる」
Chirico: I’m going to resupply the AT. Take care of things here.

(Chirico leaves.)

エイジ
(いくら護衛を引き受けてもらったからって、
置いて逃げるなんてこと…)
Eiji: (But I can’t just run off on my own, no matter how many times he says he’s my bodyguard...)

エイジ
(あの人は…
自分の生命が惜しくないんだろうか…)
Eiji: (I wonder if he... If he even values his own life...)

登場作品    蒼き流星SPTレイズナー

「SUPER POWERED TRACER」の略。
パワードスーツの発展型としてグラドス星で
開発された機動兵器。

SPT

From:       Blue Comet SPT Layzner

The abbreviation for “SUPER POWERED TRACER”.
They are mobile weapons developed on the planet Glados as a successor of the Power Suit.


AT

登場作品    装甲騎兵ボトムズ

アーマードトルーパーの略。
全高4メートル前後の人型機動兵器。
兵士たちの間では、搭乗者の生存率が非常に
低いことから、「最低の野郎ども」という意味を
揶揄して『ボトムズ』とも呼ばれる。

AT

From:       Armored Trooper VOTOMS

An abbreviation for Armored Trooper.
They are humanoid mobile weapon that are around 4 meters in height.
They are also called “Bottoms”, a derogatory term for the “lowest of the low” among soldiers, due to the extraordinarily low survival rate of their pilots.


ギルガメス

登場作品    装甲騎兵ボトムズ

ギルガメス星域の各国家、またはそこに所属する軍。
アストラギウス銀河を二分する勢力の片側であり、
キリコが所属していたメルキア方面軍も
ギルガメス陣営である。

Gilgamesh

From:       Armored Trooper VOTOMS

Refers all planets in the Gilgamesh region, or the army that belongs to it.
It is a force that controls one side of the Astragius Galaxy. The Melkia army, which Chirico was a part of, is also part of Gilgamesh.
