  1. She was born ordinarily enough, as an ordinary enough child, and her family knew that. They didn't want her to stay that way, though, they wanted her to be able to fulfill ambitions that she didn't have. She was one of the few people that would have been truly happy living an ordinary life to begin with, and yet they didn't know that. Their intent was good, nonetheless, when they sent her to an art-focused boarding school despite her lack of artistic prowess. There was another problem here, though. The art school was meant to be for highly skilled individuals to gain experience, as one of the best on Keron, but her parents were able to gain entry for her by monetary means. They were too happy to think about what that actually meant about the school's integrity. When she got there, she found very few true artists, but was actually taken into the protection of a group of these, as they were more sympathetic to her condition after some initial trials she faced. They just wanted to be sure that she wasn't there by her own ill money.
  2. Befriended by these artists, she began to truly develop a love for art, and her skill did increase in all forms, as did bitterness towards most of the people around her. She wanted, more than anything, to help her friends by creating a favorable environment for them. However, they had their own plans regarding this. They knew of her wish, more than she thought they did, and in order to help it come true, they also knew of one way to do so. They had to turn their art against the people who had bought their way in, and slowly come to dominate the facilities, showing their true talents in new ways. Mashishi emerged as a leader over this time, from an awkward, slow child. However, before long, they were being threatened for “impudence,” and in danger or expulsion. An enraged Mashishi began devising plans to avoid this, but nothing worked. It seemed as if she would have to get at the souls of their enemies to change anything. She began to look at the cause of all this, the money that had driven things to this point, and wondering what it could get her, though she said nothing.
  3.
  4. Eventually, things came to conflict. Mashishi and her friends didn't fight directly, but a good deal of the other students who were actively against them decided on violent action, though not everyone at the school was so invested in the problem. In the end ot all of her friends were killed, but some were, and with the aid of those spirits, she gained her powers and manipulated the people of the school, while her thoughts of money began changing more and more. If it was powerful enough to cost her so much, what could she do if she controlled a lot of it...?
