  1. "We could come back to my place tonight. B-But I-I don't mean it that way. Like in a you-wanna-hang-out type of-"
  2.
  3. My stuttering was cut off by Yuri, "Don't worry Anon, I get what you mean, I'd love to come by your house again."
  4.
  5. "Great! We should probably get moving though, its starting to get cold out here." I warned as I started walking home.
  6.
  7. "Agreed." Yuri replied as she slithered alongside me.
  8.
  9. It's been four months since Yuri and I fell in love. And it's been two since she revealed her true form to me. Yuri is a mythological creature known as a Lamia which, in her words, is "part serpent, part human." Her body looks completely human but everything past her waist is a long snake's tail covered in black scales on her "back" and deep violet scales on her underside. Stuff hasn't changed much in our relationship however. I still see her as the demure girl I fell for.
  10.
  11. As I pondered over how she managed to hide that half of her body and how she still does it at school my train of thought was interrupted with Yuri nudging at my side.
  12.
  13. "We're here, Anon."
  14.
  15. "Oh, right, sorry. I spaced out for a bit." I sheepishly retorted as I took out my keys and unlocked the door. "Well, come on in." I beckoned.
  16.
  17. "Thank you." Yuri whispered as she passes by me.
  18.
  19. "My parents are on a business trip for the weekend, so feel free to make yourself at home. But I'll be right back. I'm going to change out of this uniform." I say as I began to head upstairs.
  20.
  21. I began to change out of my uniform and into a t-shirt and some shorts. After changing, I decided to check my computer to see if my copy of Dark Souls finished downloading. To my joy, it was ready to play. However, Yuri was still waiting downstairs. I debated myself on whether I should play for a quick while or go down and see her. To my luck however, I didn't need to make the decision as I heard the door creak open.
  22.
  23. "Anon?" Yuri questioned as she crept past the door, "Oh! There you are..."
  24.
  25. "Ah, I didn't mean to keep you waiting Yuri." I apologized as I tabbed out of my download page, "I was just checking on some stuff on my computer."
  26.
  27. "Was that Dark Souls you were downloading?" Yuri inquires, moving closer to my monitor.
  28.
  29. "You play Dark Souls?"
  30.
  31. "Well, no. I have heard about the game online however, but I never got around to buying it."
  32.
  33. This took me aback. I never expected someone like Yuri to be into videogames, let alone Dark Souls. I checked my clock to see that it was seven past noon. I had homework to do.
  34.
  35. "Well if you want Yuri, you can play a bit because I have some homework to finish up. Controller's in the drawer."
  36.
  37. "Thanks Anon!" Yuri voiced her excitement as she started up the game.
  38.
  39. As she created her character, I cracked open my math book to work on some problems. I got through the problems after a while, closing my book and walking over to Yuri to see how she was progressing. She was sitting on her coil, eyes fixated on the boss she was fighting.
  40.
  41. "How's Dark Souls so far Yuri?" I asked.
  42.
  43. "Whuh? Oh! Yeah, its fun so far..." Yuri mumbled, suppressing a yawn.
  44.
  45. I was slightly concerned, but nonetheless satisfied with her answer. I began my paper for English, periodically checking on her state between paragraphs. I was finishing up on my conclusion paragraph when I heard a thud as Yuri toppled off her coil and fell asleep. I quickly rushed over to her to check on her condition.
  46.
  47. She was ok, but she was out like a rock. I found that she was as heavy as a rock as I heaved her up onto my bed. I saved her game and closed it as it hit me that snakes lose energy in cold climates.
  48.
  49. The realization hitting me like a snowball, I quickly draped my blanket over her as I got in bed with her, hoping that my body heat could warm her up. After what felt like an eternity, Yuri's eyes began to shift open.
  50.
  51. "Anon?" Yuri murmured, still half-conscious.
  52.
  53. "You toppled over yourself and hit the floor." I told her, "I saw you were out cold so I put you in bed with me. U-Uh, if you find this awkward I'll let you-"
  54.
  55. "It's ok Anon, thank you." Yuri reassured me, "That means I get to do this."
  56.
  57. I jumped a little as I felt her tail coil up around me. By now I had gotten used to it, but her tail felt cold and clammy, throwing me off guard. My internal complaints about the cold faded away as she moved me closer to her. I was in heaven. A cold, scaly heaven.
  58.
  59. "Goodnight Yuri." I yawned out as I snuggled into her hair.
  60.
  61. "Goodnight Anon." she replied as she caressed my hair.
  62.
  63. The last thing I saw before I dozed of were her amethyst eyes.
  64.
  65. The next morning, I woke up in my bed to realize that something was missing. My body shot up as I checked for Yuri. It seemed she left in the night without a trace. I check the clock on my phone to see how long I slept for: 10 o' clock in the morning. To my surprise, I also had an unread text from Yuri. I quickly unlocked my phone and opened her message as fast as I could:
  66.
  67. "Sorry I'm not with you right now, I had stuff to do at home so I left while you were sleeping." the message read, "However, I have no qualms about coming over again."
  68.
  69. I quickly text back, "How about tonight?"
  70.
  71. To my shock she texts back "Sounds great! Ill be there at 5." It's almost as if she was waiting for me to text back.
  72.
  73. "Sounds good. See you then." I text back as I put my phone back by my nightstand.
  74.
  75. Making a mental note to buy a heater blanket at the store today, I got myself out of bed, grinning with anticipation.
