<Suddenly daytime turns to night, Valravn!Emil appears in the sky, lands in front of Annie>

Annie: ...Can I still call yer "Emil", or is yer name "Valravn" now?
<Valravn crouches down in front of Annie>
Emil: Oh, you're not going to greet me with an insult this time?
Annie: Heh. Didn't prepare one.
<Annie looks downward>
Annie: Guildmaster told me what happened. Reckon I'd never be seein' yer again...
<Emil lifts Annie's chin>
Emil: Come now, stiff upper lip!
Emil: Are you REALLY going to make it my job to lighten the mood?!
<Annie pushes Emil's claw hand away>
Annie: Hey, hey! Don't have those so close to my neck!
Annie: Can't yer turn back into a Vampire now? Or a small raven like before?
<Emil stands back up>
Emil: I cannot...
Emil: Those forms have been lost to me ever since I regenerated.
Annie: Even though you're still Emil?
Emil: Well, you know these things better than I do. Change is a permanent affliction.
Emil: I'm not the same Emil as before, but I'm not the same Valravn either.
Emil: Some part of my heart is mortal yet. I am no longer like my brothers and sisters, for nothing Immortal was born to feel regret.
Emil: But I did. I felt regret.
Emil: But...I believe those things gave my time here some meaning.
Emil: Through pain and joy, through light and darkness, there is meaning to be found in this world.
Emil: I have seen the wonders of the cosmos in the universe beyond, but it is here that I-

<Emil couches down>

<Annie hugs the big ol' Valravn helmet>

<Emil gets up>

Annie: Hey!
