  1. Start: 1 pm, Midsummer 27, 401
  2.
  3. The mute giant telepathically introduced himself as Aal-Gûluul to the Spider Queen.
  4.
  5. The party identified him as an enhanced awakened skeleton. The minion claimed he was leading them to Eeg-Sha-Nûl, the den of his masters. The Spider Queen shared this with her comrades.
  6.
  7. Aal-Gûluul led the party to Eeg-Sha-Nûl. The structure of the city appeared to be above a well, which contained a luminescent sigil at the bottom. The sigil distantly resonated with a powerful magical aura. The city was tiered upwards. No layer was significantly larger than the breadth of the well.
  8.
  9. The giant awaited them at the entrance of the place. It parted ways with the message "When you are prepared, my masters await you on the third tier. Do not cause conflict here. We would not wish harm to befall you."
  10.
  11. Inside the city were several undead creatures, none of which appeared hostile towards the party. After some consideration, the Spider Queen realized these creatures were 'Revenants of Syr-Liandria', or more commonly known as simply 'revenants'.
  12.
  13. One of these creatures, which vaguely bore the features of the Marai nomads approached the party and pleaded with them, stating the following: "Think deeply on what you must do, and find it within yourselves to release us from this prison."
  14.
  15. They made their way to a place on the upper tiers, known as the council chamber of the seven. They were allowed inside. The chamber was shaped line an ancient amphitheater. In six of the seven seats were sat frost giant revenants. The seventh seat was empty and destroyed.
  16.
  17. The speaker of the council, named Vonemót, welcomed the 'fourth archons, yet the first'.
  18.
  19. He identified the seventh seat as a 'traitor'.
  20.
  21. Vonemót explained the plight of the giants. They were trapped here by Ilishlu long ago, and could only leave via the Circlet of Living Ice. The only way they can leave the confines of the seal is via thralls, which had significantly limited supply. They could not retrieve it themselves because their thralls alone were not powerful enough.
  22.
  23. They worship the same goddess as the Fortisskari, and their main different was the giants believe they may use all of the powers their goddess grants them, even those which circumvent their sacred cycle. They justify this because if their undead forms fall, they return to the cycle. They would not voluntarily return to their cycle, because many of them would be reborn in Fortisskar, and would have to contend with their sworn enemies. The Fortisskari view them as heretics, and this differing viewpoint is the core of their conflict.
  24.
  25. Vonemót claimed the undead in the region were not created by them, but were the product of a curse on the land, brought on by centuries of war. He claimed he and his fellows plan to break the curse and cleanse the land of the wights.
  26.
  27. The party felt uneasy and pressured into a choice. They asked for time to think on it, and the giant obliged.
  28.
  29. Mira investigated the seal. She suspected it was left by Ilishlu, and was an epic spell difficult to dispel by someone much weaker than the individual who made it.
  30.
  31. The party rested and prepared potions and scrolls. Mira had a vision, and seemed clear on what to do next after it.
  32.
  33. She convinced the party to take the giant's oath.
  34.
  35. In her vision, she saw a specter in the place of the 'traitor'. It seemed to be a male elf.
  36.
  37. The party gave the oath in a zone of truth, speaking the following: "I vow to free the people of the Eeg-Nûl and their kith. I vow to assist them in enacting their vengeance by allowing them passage from their prison. I vow to do no harm to the Eeg-Nûl and their kith."
  38.
  39. The council gave this oath: "I vow to assist the Archons in their struggle in the age of Upheaval. We, the Eeg-Nûl, will come when beckoned with all the might at our disposal. We vow to not harm the Archons or their kith."
  40.
  41. Vonemót casted several spells on the party to aid them in combat. He directed his thrall, Aal-Gûluul, who he identified as a 'vanquished rival', to assist the party.
  42.
  43. Vasileios spoke with a revenant necromancer on the way out.
  44.
  45. The party made their way deeper into the tunnels. They cautiously advanced, and encountered several deeplings.
