Hardstyle.


The genre of hardstyle originates the Netherlands, where the biggest part of the production still is producing the music.
until the year 2002, hardstyle was kinda a underground genre, it had the aggressive kicks from hardcore but in lower tempo.
Hardcore has around 160-200 beats per minute, and hardstyle is a bit slower with 135-155 beats per minute.
Hardstyle had it's biggest breakthrough in 2002-2004. 2002-2004 is also called "the golden age" of hardstyle because of it was violently growing in popularity, and have been growing since then.
Over the years hardstyle has become a international music genre. with a fan base from all parts of the world.
When a hardstyle event is taking place, people from all over the world attends.

The parties are usually talking place in Netherlands or in Austria.
Held by the biggest hardstyle companies "Q-dance" and "b2s"(back to school).
And of cause there is small events all over, also in Denmark.
But those aren't promoted as much as "Qlimax", "Defqon1", "Hardbass" and so on.

These parties are also know for a lot of drugs, and for sure there is people doing them.
But they all come for one reason, to listen to the music.
attending a party like this, is like a BIG family gathering, in the sense of all the people attending being respectful and friendly towards each other.
