  1. ohai Angie! pt. 2
  2. so! while I was in the big C O I basically crafted a software package to work with a whole squad of fancy hardware to see how well a cutting-edge solar panel works. it's a switchable photovoltaic meaning it can turn dark when there's sun shining on it (and produce electricity) and pretty clear otherwise. t'was a very fun and rewarding internship especially given the location & style of work and creative freedom.

  4. Kimball seems like such a curious and eccentric cookie.. what was he _really_ like?
  5.
  6. and the Thing.. it is certainly tangible. founded both figuratively and literally on string theory.

  8. some of me really good friends have RAVED about parasite so I shall certainly be giving it a whirl this weekend. and your answer on the nature of the Oscars is relieving because I had always figured it was a bit of a sham show with petty politics peddling prestige away from prodigious productions. in any case I've added Midsommar to my to-watch list!

  10. and my affinity for CS spawned from a curiosity I've had for computers at a young age (around 5th grade). to me they were a powerful black magic and I was pretty set on lifting the curtain a bit to empower myself with its tools; this has proven pretty worthwhile. while some good friends are off earning $70k+ at ku$h tech jobs on the west coast, I realized a few months before graduation that software engineering, while intellectually stimulating and financially thrilling, wasn't the sort of fulfillment I was after. instead, I realized I had a knack for budgeting (limited needs and desires go a pretty long way it seems..) and figured I could live *relatively* luxuriously on a graduate student stipend so I decided to jump on the atmospheric science PhD plane to chase my passion in understanding the poetic nature of the sky. so far it's already been hugely rewarding and the types of research I'm doing is pretty kewl

  12. and tbh armed with self-motivation, good MOOCs can be just as gratifying if not better than actual lectures people pay literal thousands of dollars for.. my undergrad chem taught me little more than what we covered in highschool, but the labs were pretty neat. in any case chemistry is fascinating because it considers the universe through the lens of a chef.. where proteins/carbs/polypeptides are the ingredients for just about everything we can observe

  14. and while I agree that the doggie is humanity's friend and I cherish them all.. every cat is like a lil celebrity to me. they're just infinitely divine and sharp and those that are cuddly make me melt and I refer to them as chungy cus I luv them so ooo 😤🥰😻 if my apartment allowed em you BET I'd care for a chungy of my own ..

  17. likewise, my luck with raising plants haven't been the best. I've somehow managed to murder even the mighty succulent.. but maybe that was just Texas' weather ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  20. and I totally resonate with the idea that attempting to describe the complex chimera of a human conscious in 4 measly characters or a "type" is a pretty crude classification. still, it admittedly does do a p good job in 'sketching' out the general qualities that so many of us relate to and is definitely easy to convey your personality "type" than to try and explain every echo that boings about in your brain into something coherent. . language is a wonderfully powerful tool but laughably inadequate at times when pitted against the ineffable

  23. and while I was in Colorado and Cali my eyes (and mind) really opened to the science of strains in the devil's lettuce. like indica (in da couch) is great for kicking back and mellowing away your worries, while sativa breeds were more heady and hence could drive you to work on tasks or diligently clean around / work on crafts and art. but even regardless of the strain using meowijuana as an incentive to do what needs to be done is still a strong approach. of course, here where we're a bit far from legal-legal states stoners can't be sticklers 🙈 it's still a great time no matter the strain! do you think your friend would be okay with hooking this brotha from anotha motha up with some mean green? I'm a pretty shy guy (read: total hermit) especially when it comes to IRL encounters but I feel your friends, by virtue of them being YOUR friends, are likewise warm n welcoming so I trust it'd be alright! pls let me know
