<center><p><i>Lights flicker dimly yet rapidly as lanterns swing on their posts, cold mountain winds forcing them to sway to their whims. Ice encrusts their wooden and metal exteriors, a thin layer of cold fogging the glass.</i></p>
<p><i>From the pelting of the blizzard, boots audibly crunched the snow beneath them as a weary yet strong willed traveler came towards them. He looked, tiredly yet curiously, at the two lanterns. A smile spread on his face as his thoughts floated about.</i></p>
<p>My, a warm light... how bright it is, too. I must be very close to Wintris!</p>
<p><i>With a renewed skip in his step, the lone traveler continued on whole-heartedly to his destination, leaving the twin lanterns to their swinging and swaying.</i></p></center>

A bit of a mooch since he tends to take every opportunity for a free meal, and doesn't leave a crumb behind.</p>

Cocoa hops into his backpack when he's about to go on the move, and curls up by him when he goes to sleep.</p>

<p>Hershi is from Wintris' western counterpart, Frostis. Residing on that side of the mountain, Frostis suffers from a constant blizzard, which keeps the people of the village from being able to go outside most times. Due to this, Frostis has some differences from Wintris.</p>
<p>The houses in Frostis have thatched roofs, thick with bundles of hay. The outer walls of these houses are made with a layer of wood and a layer of stone, either one being the outside or the inside. Wood is seen as more luxurious due to how scarce they are in their side of the mountain, and so houses with wood on the outside and inside are referred to as being 'upscale'.</p>

<p><img src="http://i.ibb.co/gPWv0Qx/Nykk.png" height="185" style="float: left; padding: 5px;"> Nykk (Father, Snow Aisha) ➨ Nykk is a tall, slightly lanky Snow Aisha. His fur is pure white, with flecks of snow and crystals. What sticks out from him the most are his antennae, the stalks thick, rigid and a light brown, the ears at the tip thin-skinned and green. Nykk helps clear snow for the village, scraping it off roofs and the sides of houses and shoveling it away from paths. The excess snow is then used to create a perimeter around Frostis to fend off blizzards. Born and raised in Frostis, he's the only son of a Water and Relic Aisha pair. Nykk and Merry met when Merry traveled to his village while her mother came to visit her elderly parents. They got along quite well, and married soon after, much to her mother's joy.</p>

<p><img src="http://i.ibb.co/d4t4Dpj/Merry.png" height="175" style="float: left; padding: 5px;"> Merry (Mother, Biscuit Aisha) ➨ Merry is a short, friendly Biscuit Aisha. She has light-brown fur with flecks of darker brown scattered about, spots coupling together on the back of her two sets of ears, her shoulders and her face, creating chunky freckles. Long, silky and dark brown hair flows from the top of her head. Merry doesn't have a particular talent, but she can bake and sew fine enough that others look to her for advice and her services in those fields. Merry was born and raised in Wintris, but traveled to Frostis often with her mother and father to visit her grandparents. She met Nykk on one visit there, and after marrying have lived there since. </p>

<p><img src="http://i.ibb.co/ss8zmxQ/Pluuma.png" height="185" style="float: left; padding: 5px;"> Pluuma (Elder Sister, Ice Aisha) ➨ Pluuma is an Ice Aisha of average height, with light blue fur shining with tiny ice crystals and long curly blond hair pouring from the top of her head. A very reserved and polite girl, Pluuma isn't much for conversation but does get along well with the other girls in the village. She keeps to herself and would rather read her grandfather's books on nature and the identification of wildlife. She and Hershi used to have an incredibly close bond with each other, but it began dwindling out when she uncovered a mysterious device from their great-great-grandfather's belongings, and he began leaving home for longer periods of time due to his hiking and in some part her negligence.</p>

<p> Jhuden (Cousin, Christmas Aisha) ➨ Jhuden is a short Christmas Aisha with a bit of a temper. He wears a tartan ushanka over his short, messy platinum blond hair, a slightly oversized jacket, jeans, and black galoshes. An incredibly moody and reclusive Aisha, others are polite to him as a formality and to keep his rude demeanor at bay. Hershi doesn't mind it, however, and enjoys being around his cousin. They still don't get along despite it, a shame considering Jhuden knew more about what was going on in the mountains than Hershi did.</p>

<p><img src="http://i.ibb.co/WgbcR3N/Vhanni.png" height="175" style="float: left; padding: 5px;"> Vhanni (Aunt, Jhuden's Mother, Halloween Aisha) ➨ Vhanni is a tall, thin Halloween Aisha with green eyes that open slightly. While nearly her entire body is covered in red fur, her face and neck are tan. She prefers to grow her straight, long, black hair out unlike her sister and mother. The first child between Hershi's grandparents, she's lived in Wintris all her life and refused to and still refuses to travel across the mountains. Vhanni is kind to Hershi, but mostly because her mother takes a great liking to the Chocolate Aisha. She wishes her own son was more like him, not understanding what was going on at the same time.</p>

<p><img src="http://i.ibb.co/HYKcg6H/Autumn.png" height="185" style="float: left; padding: 5px;"> Autumn (Maternal Grandma, Christmas Aisha) ➨ Autumn is an elderly Christmas Aisha with bits of grey hairs growing from her coat and strands growing from her auburn hair. She keeps her hair short and wears half-moon spectacles. Born and raised in Frostis, she met Hershel a few times before they started talking as friends. She enjoys remembering the things he would teach her about from his journeys around the range. They married and moved to Hershel's hometown, Wintris, where they started a family. Autumn adores Hershi for his resemblance to her late husband, and misses him whenever he leaves to Frostis. Hershi doesn't know about this.</p>

<p>Hershel (Maternal Grandpa, Chocolate Aisha , Deceased) ➨ Hershel was a Chocolate Aisha who, around the time of his passing, had flaky brown fur with wisps of grey here and there. He had a grey mustache and warm brown eyes. He was a very well-liked Aisha whose untimely disappearance saddened many. Those who knew him and meet Hershi believe his spirit lives on in the young Aisha, both sharing their love for hiking and exploring the mountains.</p>

<p></p><center><b>Preferences :: Likes</b></center>

<p>Hiking - As his grandfather did, Hershi too enjoys trekking throughout the wilderness. There is something of nature that calms and straightens out the senses, and Hershi especially likes that feeling. He tends to get lost, yes, and he does stray far, far away from the path,
 yes, and he does forget what he's doing... but he always ends up back on track to his destination. Could a guardian angel be watching over him? Could some strange man of the mountain be taking pity upon this air-headed fool? Perhaps, but Hershi doesn't think much of it. If only his trusty companion Cocoa could say a word or two...</p>

<p>Making New Friends - Frostis and Wintris are small, isolated towns divided by a mountain, and as an effect everybody in their respective homes know each other like close family. Hershi is excited whenever someone new comes to town, or if he meets someone during a hike. Who knows what kind of person they could be, what they know, and what could they teach him?</p>

<p>Learning New Things - Just as he loves meeting new people, he revels in learning new things. A crafty aisha, he works well with his hands and has tried all sorts of things, from woodwork to machinery to fishing to sewing. Hershi knows there's still so much to learn, and he wants to learn it all! Though he isn't so good when it comes to academics... travelling professors, forgive him for he's gotta go!</p>

<p>Having Fun - A philosophy he has kept since childhood, there is always a smile slapped across his face, beaming, crooked, or sleepily, there's no need for worry with him. Sure, he knows how to feel appropriately, but he wants to live each day like it's his last to the point of overcoming any troubles that come his way as quickly and efficiently as possible... not like he gets many problems, actually. Hershi's a bit too carefree to get stuck in sticky situations, but he can get trapped if his curiosity gets the best of him... here's to satisfaction!</p>

<p></p><center><b> Preferences :: Dislikes</b> </center>

<p>Being Confused - Simply for the fact that confusion makes his mind race as he attempts to make sense of whatever is confusing him, causing him to be dizzy and nauseous and yet, like the silly aisha he is he will keep at it until either someone explains, something else catches his interest, or he faints. It never really comes to that last one, but if it does his brain basically force quits itself and makes him take a nice, long nap...
 even if he's out in the middle of the wilderness off-course from the path. Quite a surprise to awaken to.</p>

<p>Pineapples - He's allergic! Or so he says, just because he despises the acidic taste of pineapple. Hershi has a definite knack for knowing if something has pineapple in it, for his face will change in realization.
 If you see his face begin to wrinkle inwards the center,
 his eyes squinting yet puffy, and his mouth frothing,
 there was probably pineapple in whatever he's taken. Otherwise, he takes to it very well... emotionally.</p>

<p>Skeiths - Here's a little something nobody knows about. Hershi is, without a doubt, blindingly terrified of skeiths. Strange indeed to have a phobia of another species, especially one who he'd never met nor meddled with, this aisha cannot stand the presence nor even the implication of a skeith being anywhere in the vicinity.
 Due to his nature of straying about, nobody ever notices the connection between his running away and skeiths. In fact, there are no known skeiths to live in either Frostis or Wintris, not even a one to have come through the mountains. The only answer lies within what his grandfather knows...</p>

<p></p><center><b>Hobbies</b></center>

<p>Hiking - As mentioned above, Hershi loves to explore nature. Thankfully, a large mountain range spreads between his hometown and Wintris, so whenever he happens to want to visit his other family, he can go straight through and do what he loves most- hiking! Never going through the same path, Hershi loves to climb trees, scale walls and run among the pines and rivers. Even as he's trekked through the place many, many times, he hasn't discovered the secrets this place holds...</p>

<p>Learning Odd Jobs -  Since neither Wintris nor Frostis have any education available farther than highschool (and there isn't any other town for miles for all they know)
 learnt trades is especially vital to the survival of both towns. Trades tend to be brought down with families,
 and since they are small towns, they have taught each other the works necessary for them to thrive. Some of these families are what you may call "dying breeds", those whose abilities are not needed and therefore rarely taught any longer. Hershi's own family is a part of this,
 hence why they don't have a particular talent for themselves. They are quick learners, however, and that's where Hershi comes in. Since he loves to learn, he's even got some of these "dying breed" jobs under his belt- totem pole-ing, shorthand, and blowing a war horn! (All absolutely unnecessary in today's Frostis and Wintris... unfortunately)</p>

<p>Getting Involved in Strange Situations - Despite his joyous and carefree spirit, an absolutely harmless being, fortune has a peculiar taste for leading him into abnormal affairs. These happenings only occur when he is hiking through the mountains, odd enough, and every time he is able to unstick himself from whatever melodrama he got stuck to, he finds himself where he once was again.
 Sometimes he wonders in the cold of night, where the moonlight circus is performing now, whether the concrete sidewalks on that sunny beachside strip are still warm, what the theater with the shining red curtains is playing this season (or is the comedy act still going?). If only he and his cousin, Jhuden, were closer friends, maybe he wouldn't be wondering today.</p>

<p><b>The World (& its Mysteries)</b></p>
<p>-Frostis, Wintris and the mountain between them are stuck in a cursed, never-ending blizzard. </p>
<p>-Frostis is to the West, Wintris is to the East. The mountain is high enough that Frostis has an extended morning and Wintris has an extended evening.</p>
<p>-The winds blow from the west to the east. Frostis is known for freezing temperatures, while Wintris is known for their soft snow.</p>
<p>-The highest level of formal education between the two towns is middle school.</p>
<p>-There is a supposed date of about a century ago where the two towns were established. It is said the people settled themselves on this land because they were curious about its untouched state of being.</p>
<p>-The reason the land was untouched was because it was a pocket dimension to a self-contained cursed world, hidden away from the real world.</p>
<p><b>Personal (& Secret) History</b></p>
<p>-Hershi's great great grandfather was a pioneer in discovering the mountains. By coming to and settling, he unleashes the curse onto his people and he is forever stuck in a cycle of rebirth until he can find the way out. </p>
<p>-Hershi's grandfather, Hershel, is the first reincarnation of that great great grandfather. Born with a natural interest in learning, exploration and a calling to the mountains, he was intelligent enough to discover the situation at hand but kept it to himself as he traversed the mountains for years on end, accompanied by his friend, a skeith. The curse began to manifest itself to prevent him from finding his way, burdening Hershel with an illness akin to narcolepsy and lacing his dreams with hazards of all kinds. He was able to survive and gain much knowledge and clues, but fell to an untimely demise that marked the birth of Hershi.</p>
<p>-Hershi, the second reincarnation, gained all of his grandfather's qualities with the addition of one trait, given to him by the curse- obliviousness. This is to dispel any connection to his past lives' understanding of the mountains, the curse and the problems in their world, to keep him from seeking his destiny. Happy and carefree, the curse has him for a fool, when in reality, Hershi's obliviousness saves him numerous times from his narcolepsy-induced 'nightmares'.</p>

<a name="I"><h2>( I ) In Hershel's Final Days</h2></a>
<p>- Prior to Hershi's birth, Hershel did not suspect a correlation between the curse and the family line. Happy to learn about his younger daughter's second pregnancy, the news brightened his spirit and, despite his deteriorating health, continued on his lifelong search through the mountains. His closest friend and long-time hiking companion, Bernell, cautioned him to be more careful, for he was older and less resilient to the forces of nature, along with the fact his narcolepsy-esque affliction was worsening. Despite such warning however, Hershel went on with a reignited passion, determined to find even the smallest clue or piece to end his quest.</p>
<p>- Bernell, Hershel's most faithful companion, followed wherever he went. A large Plushie Skieth, he cared for Hershel like family, having grown up together and quite closely at that. Bernell had been involved in Hershel's adventure practically since the beginning, from their first journeys across the mountain range, the conspiracies they created on the way, to Hershel's first signs of the curse's touch, and now on what to be the final stretch of the Chocolate Aisha's life. The Skeith took it upon himself to act as his guardian, understanding that the Aisha's family worried about him, although he did despise Hershel's ignorance to the situation he created.</p>
<p>- Two nights before Hershi's birth, Hershel's health took a hit. He couldn't understand why his legs, which walked throughout the mountains that loomed over his town for many years, ever so slightly gave way as he stepped through his bedroom. His eyes were heavy and his hands shook as he took hold of his coat, tiring as he pulled his boots over his feet. Hershel didn't want to give up just yet. The curse had suddenly become stronger, and he theorized there must be downside to it as all curses do. This idea allowed him to concoct a sort of plan of attack against it, and he set out towards the mountains in which it manifested. The elderly Aisha was deep into the wilderness before anybody realized he had gone.</p>
<p>- Desperately, he searched every nook and cranny of the land, the curse sensing his fatigue as the blizzard grew stronger. With all the strength he could muster, the Chocolate Aisha trekked on, taking whatever routes and paths he believed he previously never traversed through- a difficult task since he'd spent nearly all his life in the mountains. It was a dangerous tactic, but hope was in his heart that he would stumble upon the mountain's hidden truth. Unaware to him, the trails he followed were leading him right to his end.</p>
<p>- At the news of Hershel's sudden disappearance, Bernell went straight down the path in search of him. It was not like Hershel to leave unannounced, at least not now in his old age, and especially with a concerned wife, a pregnant daughter and a young granddaughter at home. Along with that, his health even before was on a slow, steady decline. In such a state, he'd pass from a serious shiver.</p>
<p>- Bernell tried to shake these thoughts from his head as he hurriedly flew through the forest. It wasn't long until he noticed a disturbed trail of snow.</p>
<p>- Following quickly as he could, the thick sheltered trees of the central woods dispersed and became sparse as it opened to rockier terrain. The snow was coming down harshly, and bit into the Skeith's face, but he kept his eyes peeled for the Aisha. The trail led to a jagged space, and along the path he finally spotted Hershel.</p>
<p>- His friend was staring out the side of the mountain, a journal in his right paw, when Bernell called out to him. "Hershel, where have you been? Disappearing like that, out into this weather..." the Skeith trotted towards Hershel, who suddenly dropped the book from his hand and teetered forward, his left hand at his face. A sudden rush of cold hair stung Bernell as he barreled towards Hershel, but the quick onslaught had made him too slow to react.</p>
<p>- It can be said that Hershel came down with a dizzy spell, and as a result plummeted into the void. Bernell knew better. ⋆</p>

<a name="II"><h2>( II ) Hershi is Born</h2></a>
<p>- On the eighth day of running, in a little cottage off the center of Frostis, a Chocolate Aisha was born. Small, it took moments after his birth before he began to cry. As his mother lovingly held her newborn son close to her chest, she watched her own mother solemnly washing the towels in a clean basin. There had still been no news of Hershel or his friend, Bernell, since the night he disappeared.</p>
<p>- Merry adjusted her hold of the baby before addressing her mother. "Oh, mom, why don't you come here beside me and your grandson? I'm sure papa is somewhere safe with Bernell. They're inseparable, those two." Her mother dried her hands on the skirt of her dress, and walked towards a chair positioned by the bed and set herself upon it. Merry lowered her hold of the infant in her arms to let her mother take a look at his soft, resting face. His small mouth opened for a quiet yawn before settling.</p>
<p>- The elderly Christmas Aisha observed the newborn intently. He held a strong resemblance to her husband, identifying him as a Chocolate Aisha. His antennae, ribbed and red, had not begun developing the whipped cream-like substance characteristic of his color, and neither had his tail. A tiny red growth was forming along it, but it was of no concern- another one of the strange traits known to a Chocolate Aisha. Along the top of his head was a faint stripe of blond, marking the beginning of a head full of hair.</p>
<p>- Old Autumn took one of his hands into hers, and opened it to look into his palm. Yes, just like her Hershel, he had a heart-shaped pad in the middle. The Christmas Aisha set the little paw down gingerly before retreating into her seat.</p>
<p>- She wiped her eye with her sleeve before leaning towards her daughter once more. "You have a name for him, don't you now? He shouldn't stay nameless for so long." Merry smiled at her mother in acknowledgement. "Of course I do, ma," she looked back towards the child swaddled close to her, now sleeping, "and I'm sure you see it, too, when I say he looks just like papa." .</p>
<p>- Autumn gave a reserved nod. There was no doubting the likeness. She listened as Merry continued.</p>
<p>- "I think I'd like his name to be Hershel, Jr." ⋆</p>

<a name="III"><h2>( III ) Grandmother Autumn Leaves for Wintris</h2></a>
<p>- After a day, a week, a month, six more, and finally a year, it set into old Autumn that her beloved husband was never coming out from the mountains. She had grown weary waiting for him, and the harsh weather of Frostis was slowly becoming too harsh for the elderly Christmas Aisha. Autumn finally gave in to her older daughter's offer to move to Wintris, where the weather was not as harsh. She was resilient to the idea for a long time, and even a little bit now, out of fear her Hershel would find her gone.</p>
<p>- On the day she was to head out across the mountains with the help of a travelling band, she spent some time with her younger daughter's family.</p>
<p>- Pluuma, her eldest grandchild and only granddaughter, was about four years old. Her soft baby fur had little ice crystals in them, natural to an Ice Aisha of her age. Golden, curly locks of hair came down from the top of her head, flecks of ice glistening through the strands. She was a lively yet reserved child, playing quietly to herself and enjoying the explanations people gave her about the things she wondered about. At the moment, however, she was showing Hershel Jr. how to play with his toys in the middle of their living room floor.</p>
<p>- The day before was Hershel Jr.'s first birthday. It was a small event, with close neighbors coming by to give them their hand-made gifts. Some of the older folk were mesmerized by the baby's resemblance to his grandfather, a few even prompted to stay a while and recount the old Chocolate Aisha's many misadventures from their youth.</p>
<p>- While Autumn was still in a mixed state of mourning and denial, she found herself enjoying the stories people recounted of her late husband, even recognizing instances in which she was present for his tomfoolery. There were even some tales where she learned something new about him; never in her life did she think he'd wagon race over the mountains; she smiled at the unexpected thought that he would try carving his own totem pole; and was dumbfounded to hear he'd discovered the little Dandans that ran about the forest.</p>
<p>- It was almost a bit saddening how much about him she missed out on.</p>
<p>- All the time being, baby Hershel Jr. sat comfortably upon his grandmother's lap. While not too loud of a babbler, he was incredibly talkative that day. The infant Aisha was certainly unlike his more modest sister, fussing little in the hands of his neighbors. Unlike most of his kind, however, his eyes were large and full of wonderment, or to put it bluntly, wide open. His entire family had their eyes shut, so it was a merry interest to those visiting as well. They could only imagine his mother's surprise when they first opened.</p>
<p>- The friendly personality and eyes that looked about a room, became fascinated by an object, incited more comparisons of him and his grandfather.</p>
<p>- Old Autumn saw it, too.</p>
<p>- Which made it all the more difficult when it was time to travel to Wintris and leave her husband's likeness behind. It worsened as she heard him begin to cry after her, the long and whimpering call reverberating about her mind.</p>
<center><p> . . . </p></center>
<p>- "How do you like it, mama?" .</p>
<p>- Autumn set herself on the warm, downy bed. The journey across the mountains had made her incredibly weary. A tony walked to the foot of her bed and placed a large pack of her belongings onto the floor, turning and nodding towards the Halloween Aisha at the door before leaving. She proceeded to walk to Autumn and sat beside her, taking a blanket and settling it across the elderly Aisha's shoulders.</p>
<p>- There was more silence before Autumn responded. Adjusting the blanket, she took off her shoes.</p>
<p>- "I think I'll take to it in time. It's been difficult, not having him with me..." .</p>
<p>- It wouldn't be until more than a decade did she see Hershel again. ⋆</p>

<h2>( ??? ) (Working Title ... Prompt :: Write about a time they lost something or someone important to them.)</h2>
<p>- Hershel and Pluuma were once incredibly close to one another. While neither seem to remember this past- Pluuma having forgotten entirely, Hershel repressing it- the people around them remember.</p>
<p>- Hershel looked through the doorway into his sister's room. She was sitting at her desk again, fiddling with that strange contraption found among their great-grandfather's belongings. Beside it was a neat stack of parchment and a graphite writer. Hershel didn't know what she did with all that, but she spent an awful lot of time with it. She didn't even talk to him much at all anymore these days.</p>
<p>- "Pluuma?" .</p>
<p>- She didn't move, twisting at the knobs on the machine. He repeated himself, a little bit louder, a little more hesitant. "Pluuma?" .</p>
<p>- "What is it, Hershi?" His sister responded in a slightly tired, monotone voice, her focus stuck on the machine she kept toying with.</p>
<p>- "I was wondering if you wanted to go outside today." Hershel nervously wrung the edge of his shirt. Pluuma was silent for a moment. His ears perked as she placed her hands on her lap and laid back on her seat. Unfortunately, what she said wasn't what he had wanted to hear.</p>
<p>- "I'm sorry, Hershi, but not right now. I'm a bit busy. Maybe next time." .</p>
<p>- "Oh-Okay. I'll see you later, then." .</p>
<p>- Pluuma didn't take notice as Hershel shuffled away.</p>
<p></p><center> . . . </center>
<p>- "Are you sure you want to got through with this?" .</p>
<p>- Hershel rubbed his face against his mother as they hugged. "Yeah, I've been wanting to do this for a long time. Who knows what's out there, right?" He smiled as he stepped back. His mother moved a lock of hair from his face and gazed lovingly at her son. He will be going on first hike through the mountains alone, and while she certainly was concerned for his safety- what mother wouldn't be?- she had faith in her son's ambition and abilities.</p>
<p>- "Are you sure Pluuma couldn't come to see you off?" .</p>
<p>- Hershel shook his head. "No, she was too busy. But it's okay, I'll see her again." .</p>
<p>- He waved to his mother as he walked down the trail to the forest's opening. When he turned to face the path ahead, he kept his composure. Soon enveloped by dead trees and shrubbery, it became difficult for him to keep his face from twisting, a distressed tear staining his cheek.</p>
<p></p><center> . . . </center>
<p>- "Hershi, what's wrong?" .</p>
<p>- When Hershel was sad, he snuck out of the house and into the farmhouse. He liked how pleasantly warm it was, the scents of the crops clearing his mind. The Aisha was huddled between bales of hay when his sister found him. At the sound of her voice, he sat up, alarmed.</p>
<p>- "What are you doing here, Pluuma? It's late...!" .</p>
<p>- "I should be asking you that, Hersh. Although, I know you come here a lot at night, don't you?" .</p>
<p>- Hershel pulled his knees to his chest, embarrassed. "Why'd you come here now, then? It's not like there's anything for you here..." His sister sat before him in the hay, snow sprinkling off from her hair and dress. From a window high up by the rafters, a blizzard could be seen through the reflection of the barely-visible moonlight.</p>
<p>- "Hershi, it's okay... you don't have to be scared. I'm your sister." Hershel's heart began to race, feeling as if he'd done something wrong. "What do you mean?" .</p>
<p>- "I know you get nightmares once in a while. You'll start sniffling in your sleep, and when you wake up, try to muffle your sobbing. Then I would hear the window open, and it gets rather quiet." She placed a warm hand by his, his own hand curling up nervously. "Then, one night, I got curious and went to your room. You were gone, and when I looked out, there were prints in the snow. I didn't follow it the first time, though." .</p>

<a name="IIII"><h2>( ??? ) (Working Title)</h2></a>
<p>- Snow pattered down onto the cottage's stone and hay roof as noon began to draw near. The sky was cloudy as ever, but today the weather was a bit more pleasant, letting up about three degrees or so. That was considered "pleasant" weather to the people of Wintris, anyways. While they took this in and walked around the village outside, Jhuden kept himself busy in the attic of his home.</p>
<p>- "On the eleventh day of swimming, the weather softened... as all small changes did, this led to the curse's next plot against me. I was going to meet with my beloved, Autumn, on the day it struck. Remembering back on it, Bernell and I were playing one of our little exploration games, wherein one was to go a certain direction three times, another direction another three times, and so on until we met again. of course, losing each other for hours-" .</p>
<p>- "Jhuden, dear?" .</p>
<p>- The Christmas Aisha looked up from where he sat on the attic floor. His mother, a Halloween Aisha, peered towards him from the hatch. </p>
<p>- "Come on now, Jhuden. Hershel will be leaving soon- won't you like to see him off?" .</p>
<p>- Jhuden huffed to himself, and took his time standing up as he heard his mother climb down the ladder. What was the point? That Aisha was just going to come back again in a couple of weeks. That's all he did- cross the mountain to Wintris, crossed it again to Frostis, then crossed back and forth and so on. If he weren't all smiles, Jhuden would be convinced he had an obession with those mountains. Before heading down, Jhuden placed the journal back on its place on the shelf.</p>
<p>- Hershel perked his ears as Jhuden's familiar footsteps approached. He was busy strapping his backpack, so he let Cocoa chirp his acknowledgement. Jhuden's mother came up to him and handed Cocoa a jar of baked goods, little white paws holding onto the glass firmly.</p>
<p>- "For your mother and sister, Hershel. I'm sure they haven't had grandmother's sweets in a while, so I hope they'll enjoy these. She made them this morning, you know." . </p>
<p>The Chocolate Aisha smiled as he took the jar from his Dandan and slipped it into a pocket of his pack. "Thanks, auntie. I think I remember ma talking about it the last time I was home, actually!" He pulled the straps over his shoulders and crouched a bit to allow Cocoa to hop on. "I should get going, then- it's a perfect day for a hike." .</p>
<p>- Jhuden begrudgingly followed his cousin and his mother outside. It really was quite a pleasant day, the snow light and the cold noticeably less chilly than usual. Hershel smiled up at the sky, his usually cheery attitude brightening. They walked down a path to the edge of the village and stopped to say their goodbyes.</p>
<p>- "Be careful, okay? Grandma would have wanted to see you off, but she had something to do with miss Molly down the way." .</p>
<p>- Hershel beamed. "That's alright by me! It's nice that grandma keeps busy, don't you think so?" Cocoa chirped at him, and he understood. "Well, I've got to be going now, then. Cocoa here doesn't like spending hiking time dazing around, don't you?" .</p>
<p>- Cocoa chirred. All Hershel ever did besides hike was daze about, and he knew it!</p>
<p>- They waved at each other as Hershi set down the trail. Jhuden and his mother watched him til he was just about to pass through the forest opening, then turned to walk home. Jhuden's mother sighed as she relished this rare weather.</p>
<p>- "You know, I heard from my father- your grandfather- that there was once a day just like this, where the snow fell softly and the air didn't nip at your face. Why, I'm sure he's written about such a day in those journals you enjoy reading so much..." .</p>
<center><p>. . .</p></center>
<p>- Today, the mountain only had the slightest of breezes. The thick canopy of leaves above sheltered the earth below from the snowfall, and because so little fell through the spaces between the ground only had a light layer of ice upon it. The road, well-trodden, was very easy to follow thanks to this.</p>
<p>- The Chocolate Aisha and his Gingerbread Dandan companion were merrily strolling along through the woods, when Hershel felt that doing so left him surprisingly bored. <i>Yes</i>, he thought to himself, <i>these mountains have been awfully kind to me, giving me good weather to walk under and a path to peacefully walk through. But what's the point if I'm fit and healthy? I'd rather someone who wished for it took these blessings from me</i>.</p>
<p>- His thoughts left unheard to whatever higher being he spoke to from his mind, Hershel picked up little Cocoa and, putting him into the front of his jacket, went off the road.</p>
<p>- Cocoa chirred questioningly. He was just beginning to enjoy this change of pace, going on without a care and the danger of his ditsy owner becoming lost and confused. Hershel pet the Dandan as he pushed against the hardened branches of a dead bush.</p>
<p>- "We'll be alright, Cocoa. I don't think we should have too much of such a good thing as fair weather and a clear path, don't you think so? We can take on plenty- surely someone else greener than either of us when it comes to travelling this range might appreciate us not spending such fortunate developments." .</p>
<p>- What silly thinking! Cocoa swished his tail in irritation. His owner was most definitely a fool, and if any moment was the defining moment of such foolishness, it was now with the evidence to boot. Yes, he admired Hershel's optimism and well-wishes, but it wasn't like walking there was going to make it suddenly disappear for no one else to use...</p>
<p>- They had walked quite a ways from there by now when the forest merged together, hiding any evidence that a trail had ever been set through it.</p>
<p>- The curse was on the move!</p>
<p>- Despite having abandoned a leisurely day for a more work-intensive one, Hershel continued on like before. He enjoyed the obstacles that came his way, unconcerned by thorns that clawed at his sleeves, excited by steep treks, and dawdled in the presence of more interesting natural occurrences, such as avalanche-induced blockades or the rare frozen pond, much to the expense of his petpet's patience. Once Hershi began to wonder and wander, there was almost no stopping him.</p>
<p>- After several hours of walking, hiking, climbing, singing, dancing, and chattering about, Hershel finally set his pack down. Night was coming upon them, and while they'd kept up a relatively steady pace, knew it was for the best they stopped now. It would be too dark to continue on.</p>
<p>- Hershel swiped the snow away at the base of a tree with his hands before laying out a coarse, woven blanket. He cleared out even more snow close by, and dug a bowl-shaped hole into the ground. There he started a fire with the flint he kept in his pockets, and cooked the frozen fish that he carried at the side of his backpack. It was a fine dinner, Cocoa busying himself with his trout as he listened to Hershi muse to himself. Dumping snow on the fire to put it out, the Aisha rolled out his sleeping bag and swaddled himself into it, another blanket already within. Cocoa curled up into his arms, and they slept.</p>

<center>Most if not all of these customizations are out of character, but being the girl I am I just can't help but play dress-up! I got a really cute idea to create a page just for the outfits I put him in, especially since I intend to keep and make use of the wearables I get.

<p>This is Hershi's original customization! When I first was looking to trade for a chocolate aisha back in my aisha-hoarding days, I saw a user with a chocolate aisha wearing the blue beanie bob wig, and I just loved how the color of the hair worked with them. So that's when I began building an outfit around those two things and miraculously came to this :D</p><p>...and yes, he is a bit wild for going out into the mountains, in blizzards, and freezing cold in a jacket and a pair of jeans. <p>This was actually one of my first attempts at straying away from Hershi's original customization. I didn't feel right putting him in anything else, and worried that it would conflict with the fact that his character wouldn't realistically dress as I'd want to dress him. But, alas, the prospect of actually utilizing the customize function for something again was too tempting.
