*sigh* Seriously? [walks over to listener laying in bed] Come! On! [grunting noises as you attempt unsuccessfully to pull the listener from bed] How is it that I can twirl you around effortlessly when you're awake but as soon as you're in bed you suddenly weigh 30 tons?

Spite? Yea that sounds about right. *grunt sound* Come on! Get up!

*sigh* Fine. You win. Just, scoot over, would you?

Yea, you win. I give up. Now scoot over so I can cuddle your ungrateful ass.

Oh, no, don't you nuzzle into me. Out of all the nekos in the world, *you* don't deserve scritchies right now.

God, okay, fine, here! *scritching sounds* There, you happy?

Don't look so smug... It's unfair how cute you are, you know that right?

Yea, you try to deny it but you know exactly how cute you are. Hell, you even weaponize it. You somehow always convince me to drop whatever I'm doing to snuggle into bed with you, no matter how tough I think my resolve will be.

Oh, yes you do. Any time I try to get you to do something you don't want to, you pout and give me those big kitten eyes and say [said in an overly dramatic 'ye olde' voice] "Please dear lover, you should run thy hands over mine soft, plush ears. We should cuddle together in bed underneath the morning sun as everyone rushes around outside unawares of the pleasures that they are missing inside."

[scoffs] Overly dramatic, as if.

God, now you're headbutting me! I stop petting you for *one* second and you're already begging for more. How needy can you be, hun? *sigh* And, like a sap, I give it to you, even though you don't deserve it.

[wistful] I am addicted to your purring, though. So soft... So sweet... I could lay in bed and pet you all day... Honestly, I don't even remember what I was so mad about.

Oh. Now I remember. [accusingly] *You* were supposed to go on a run with me.

Hey, don't you hiss at me! We're going to go running whether you want to or not. I just have to figure out how to get you out of bed, first!

*sigh* Who am I kidding. You'll just look at me with those pleading eyes and I'll forget again and we'll just end up back where we started. Not like that's a *bad* thing, but, I dunno... I kind of wanted to go out with you this morning. It's a little chilly, it's perfect running weather. [guilt tripping] Was really looking forward to it, but no. Your sleep is more important.

Here, lay your head on my chest; I know you like feeling my heartbeat. [improv sweet nothings if you'd like] Shh, shh. Let me get you up and lay you on me. I know I tease you for being short, but it makes times like this so sweet. Just you and me lying together. You know, it almost makes me feel bad for what I'm about to do.

What *am* I about to do? [Grunts, flips listener and self out of bed] Huh, looks like I got you out of bed after all *laughs*.

[overly dramatic] Oh! no! How dare *I*? How dare I use the same tactics that you use against me? That's *just* *not* *fair*! [cold] Deal with it.

Oh, quit your whining, you didn't hit the ground *that* hard. Now, get changed. You'll wake up faster if you get moving.
