  1.
  2. Hunter E. (GM): Hello
  3. Tracy G.: There we go
  4. Hunter E. (GM): I see Tracy now
  5. :)
  6. Tracy G.: I'm still working on the character thingie
  7. I'm now on equipment?
  8. Hunter E. (GM): Do you still plan on using Pash's character sheet for Fable Creel?
  9. Tracy G.: I did skip a couple, like motivations and obiligation/duty and stuff
  10. I kinda want to try a different build, if possible.
  11. Hunter E. (GM): Tracy try moving the character around
  12. Okay, that works
  13. also if you're going to do a different build, try and give it to me soon
  14. Tracy G.: Sure thing. How do I give you the build? Just tell you the stats and stuff?
  15. Hunter E. (GM): let me check rq
  16. Tracy G.: Yay, George!
  17. George B.: can you see me?
  18. Tracy G.: Let me see if I can hook my cam up, give me a few. It's been unhooked for a while
  19. Yup
  20. George B.: I mean, on my camera?
  21. Tracy G.: Blue shirt with red stripes on the shoulder.
  22. Proof I can see you!
  23. Michael D.: I can type here
  24. Hunter E. (GM): For your character
  25. in Oggdude
  26. hit Print
  27. and Print Standard
  28. Tracy G.: OK
  29. I'm looking at clothes. @_@
  30. DO I even have money to buy clothes and vehicles?
  31. Hunter E. (GM): then print to PDF
  32. Everyone starts with 400 credits in their inventory
  33. And for clothes, you get...
  34. George B.: oops, I disappeared
  35. Hunter E. (GM): (same as everyone else here)
  36. Tracy G.: ah, so don't worry about that then
  37. Hunter E. (GM): Heavy Clothes
  38. Tracy G.: Are motivations necessary before I send the sheets?
  39. Hunter E. (GM): Right now, no
  40. if you continue, then yes :)
  41. but for now, I think we're mostly ready to start
  42. Tracy G.: OK. I'll send you what I have and you can tell me what I need to start
  43. Hunter E. (GM): ok!
  44. let me finish assigning players to characters
  45. Tracy G.: OK.
  46. Hunter E. (GM): george, try moving VEX
  47. Michael, for some reason, Oskara is being weird
  48. can you move her?
  49. Ah, excellent
  50. Tracy G.: I'm trying to remember if I have a USB somewhere on the monitor to hook the cam in. I remember I had something, but I can't recall what it is.
  51. Hunter E. (GM): Just waiting on Tracy to send her character sheet
  52. In the meantime
  53. https://dice.skyjedi.com/
  54. channel name is
  55. DeafBoardGameGeeksEOTE
  56. login using either your name or your character's name, either one is fine
  57. Hunter E. (GM): (is free)
  58. And when you are in, say hello :)
  59. Tracy G.: Yikes
  60. CLosed by accident.
  61. And my computer's programs froze. -_-
  62. Give me a few minutes to force close a program
  63. Hunter E. (GM): ok
  64. George B.: so I should actually open that in another browser, so I can see both at once?
  65. Hunter E. (GM): Up to you how you want to switch back and forth
  66. The Skyjedi is what we will use for public rolls
  67. I'll use a separate window for GM rolls
  68. George B.: ok. I will try to open in chrome
  69. Hunter E. (GM): When we are all ready, I'll explain the dice over there, but most of the chat will be here
  70. I use tabs :)
  71. Tracy G.: Figured out the problem. AVG antivirus called the pritning the charc sheet a threat so I'm trying to get them to stfu
  72. Hunter E. (GM): :)
  73. Tracy G.: Got the sheet on Drive! Sent you link on messanger
  74. Now, trying tor emember where the plug in for the camera is
  75. Hunter E. (GM): Tracy - since you have no weapons, I'll give you a blaster pistol
  76. which follows your Ranged (Light) skill
  77. moved vex because the ocd was bugging me a bit :)
  78. Tracy G.: Sounds good
  79. Hunter E. (GM): ?
  80. oh
  81. the weapon
  82. Tracy G.: yeah, sorry, got distracted, but finally remembered where I plugged my camera in
  83. Hunter E. (GM): Am i the only one without a camera here?
  84. Tracy G.: Possibly?
  85. I'm trying to get the camera working but yeah
  86. Hunter E. (GM): lol looks like i'm putting clothes on then
  87. Tracy G.: lolol
  88. Michael D.: any luck?
  89. Hunter E. (GM): One leg at a time with my pants
  90. But I think I got them
  91. ;)
  92. Michael D.: i was refering to tracy buggy camera
  93. lol
  94. Hunter E. (GM): lol I know
  95. George B.: but good to know you are having luck with the pants
  96. Michael D.: haha
  97. Tracy G.: Can y'all see me?
  98. Hunter E. (GM): How do I connect the camera?
  99. George B.: mine asked me automatically when I opened the thing
  100. Michael D.: do you use external camera?
  101. George B.: I had to say "allow" to it
  102. Hunter E. (GM): Laptop
  103. I'm a NSA paranoid person
  104. so I always disable cameras whenever I can
  105. Tracy G.: lol
  106. Hunter E. (GM): so I probably need to re-enable them
  107. got the sticky note in front and everything too lol
  108. Tracy G.: I just unplug them. lol
  109. George, I"m not seeing you?
  110. George B.: I can't see you either ..?
  111. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  112. I can see my camera light is on
  113. Michael D.: i see everyone
  114. Hunter E. (GM): but I don't see anyone else
  115. Michael D.: i see hunter looking serious
  116. Tracy G.: I may need to fiddle
  117. Hunter E. (GM): lol because I am trying to figure out how to see you all
  118. Michael D.: did you go to privacy setting?
  119. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  120. I had to resize the avatars
  121. Now, I only see Michael
  122. Tracy G.: Michael is up again, but I don't see Geroge or Hunter.
  123. Hunter E. (GM): yes try the Reconnect
  124. Oh boy
  125. I tried reconnecting now I can't see anyone else
  126. lol
  127. only myself
  128. Now I see Michael
  129. Tracy G.: I guess it takes time for the videos to reconnect. I'll BRB while I wait for everyone to show up
  130. I need to elt the BF know that I'm on camera
  131. Michael D.: maybe we all sign out, reboot and go back
  132. Tracy G.: Ok, I'm back in
  133. I don't see anyone though
  134. George B.: tracy you don't see anyone? hmm.. i still see you. but it seems michael and hunter do not. maybe if they both reconnect now? (after backing out of the game and coming back in)
  135. Hunter E. (GM): Let me try that
  136. Tracy G.: I'm going to completely close everythign and come back in.
  137. Hunter E. (GM): Waiting now
  138. George B.: we can all see each other except for Tracy ... she and Hunter are not seeing each other
  139. Tracy G.: I see everyone except Hunter, ARGGH
  140. Hunter E. (GM): Our computers don't like each other
  141. lol
  142. George B.: click on the camera icon
  143. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  144. All cameras disabled?
  145. Tracy G.: My camera is off, yes
  146. George B.: yes I think so
  147. Hunter E. (GM): Alright, we will figure out the cameras next time!
  148. OKAY
  149. So first
  150. George B.: sounds like a plan :)
  151. Hunter E. (GM): I need for Tracy to go ahead and log in here
  152. https://dice.skyjedi.com/
  153. Channel Name: DeafBoardGameGeeksEOTE
  154. Name: Your character's name
  155. Tracy G.: Thanks! I was looking for that
  156. George B.: I opened mine in a separate browser, and then did split screen
  157. Hunter E. (GM): Excellent
  158. Tracy G.: Gah
  159. Hunter E. (GM): Whatever works for you!
  160. Tracy G.: I think the link hates firefox
  161. Hunter E. (GM): lol
  162. I'm using firefox
  163. George B.: ooh, maybe your cameras need to be using the same browser too:?
  164. Hunter E. (GM): Works fine for me
  165. Tracy G.: Opening up chrome now
  166. Hunter E. (GM): When you're in, say Hello!
  167. Tracy G.: Firefox is fincky as is on my computer.
  168. Hunter E. (GM): Excellent
  169. Okay, a quick rundown of the dice will be explained in the Skyjedi
  170. Okay
  171. I've already given you all permission to move your characters
  172. Tracy G.: Yeppers
  173. Hunter E. (GM): I've also given you all permission to change your Wounds and Strain as needed
  174. The red circle/red bar above your token is your Wound count
  175. Tracy G.: Thanks, I was wondering about the stats not matching up on the sheet.
  176. Hunter E. (GM): Yeah, I just fixed yours :)
  177. Tracy G.: Ok. What's soak?
  178. Hunter E. (GM): If wounds go down to zero, you are dead.
  179. If your strain goes down to zero, you are passed out.
  180. Tracy asked about soak
  181. Soak is similar to AC in DnD
  182. Soak is how much damage your clothes take
  183. before it impacts you
  184. Tracy G.: aaah ok
  185. Hunter E. (GM): So if your soak is 3
  186. and someone does 5 damage
  187. you actually take 2
  188. Tracy G.: that makes sense
  189. Hunter E. (GM): Let me double check your soak
  190. George B.: mine is 3
  191. Tracy G.: 2 here
  192. Hunter E. (GM): Tracy's should be 3
  193. because I gave her some clothes
  194. Tracy G.: aaah
  195. Hunter E. (GM): that increased her soak by 1
  196. Tracy G.: Need to fix the character sheet then
  197. Heavy clothes?
  198. Hunter E. (GM): Can do that later
  199. :)
  200. Everyone's is three, I think
  201. George B.: kevlar
  202. Tracy G.: lol
  203. Hunter E. (GM): except oskara
  204. who has 4
  205. George B.: she feels no pain
  206. Michael D.: (banging on chest)
  207. Hunter E. (GM): Tough Twi'Lek
  208. lol
  209. Okay, we'll jump right in.
  210. :)
  211. Tracy G.: xD
  212. George B.: technically, i also feel no pain.
  213. Tracy G.: xD
  214. Hunter E. (GM): bringing up my copy/paste text prompts now
  215. It is a period of unrest and opportunity in the galaxy. The Galactic Empire struggles to maintain control in the midst of civil war. Meanwhile, scoundrels and smugglers, explorers and expatriates, and fringers of all types scramble for a living on the edges of galactic civilization. It is a hard life, but these renegades have more freedom and opportunity than any citizen of the Core Worlds.
  216. On the edge of the desert world of TATOOINE, a few such renegades have run afoul of a local crime boss, TEEMO THE HUTT. Trapped in the tiny spaceport of MOS SHUUTA, the renegades have no choice but to steal a starship and flee Teemo's forces. Fortunately, a suitable starship has recently docked at the landing bay: a freighter called the KRAYT FANG, captained by a Trandoshan slaver named TREX. As they flee through the suns-baked street, the renegades duck into the local cantina to hide from their pursuers...
  217. (if you see anything in caps, it's prooooobably important ;) )
  218. You step down a short flight of stairs into the cantina's shadowy common room, the cool air a blessed relief from the scorching heat of Tatooine. The Devaronian bartenderpauses in his chores to stare at you, his devlish features intimidaating. On a stage against the far wall, a Twi'lek women dances to recorded music. Private booths line the walls, and the cantina floor is scattered with tables and chairs. A few patrons turn in their seats to stare at you. The only other exits you see from the room are what looks to be a storage closet in one corner and a doorway behind the Twi'lek dancer. The arched roof above you is supported by thick, heavy struts. You only have a few moments to find a hiding place before Teemo's thugs arrive.
  219. Hunter E. (GM):
  220. What do you do?
  221. FIRSTLY
  222. Everyone needs to change their chat name
  223. lol
  224. You'll see a dropdown list below the chat box
  225. Hunter E. (GM): find your character's name
  226. Fable Creel: wave
  227. Hunter E. (GM): excellent
  228. Fable Creel: (That was an OOC wave btw)
  229. Oksara: (pounding on chest)
  230. Hunter E. (GM): if you want to say something as yourself, type /ooc
  231. first /ooc then your message
  232. Tracy G.: ok
  233. Hunter E. (GM): if you want to emote, use /me
  234. Michael D.: cool!
  235. Hunter E. (GM) emotes at everyone
  236. Oksara: use /me
  237. 41-VEX use me
  238. 41-VEX: lol
  239. Tracy G.: Do we take turns or just chatter away?
  240. Hunter E. (GM) tells people to type /me first then type out an action
  241. 41-VEX laugh
  242. Hunter E. (GM): you're getting the hang of it
  243. :)
  244. Oksara fart
  245. Hunter E. (GM): hahaha
  246. Fable Creel chuckles and rolls her eyes.
  247. 41-VEX amused
  248. Oksara: Oksara disgards
  249. Hunter E. (GM): we'll say this isn't canon yet
  250. :)
  251. George B.: okay, I am going back up to finish reading
  252. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  253. Summary so far: You are being pursued by Teemo's guards. You are in a cantina now. How do you hide?
  254. POSSIBLE HIDING OPTIONS:
  255. Tracy G.: Also, do we all know each other already?
  256. Hunter E. (GM): Yes - you all escaped from Teemo's prison, of which you were imprisoned for one reason or another
  257. Tracy G.: OK
  258. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara and VEX have small backstories on the last page of the folio
  259. but this is the tutorial, we're making this up as we go :)
  260. Anyway - possible hiding options:
  261. Convince the dancer to let you in backstage (Charm)
  262. Step into the closet and lock it (Mechanics)
  263. Climb up the struts and hide in the rafters (Athletics)
  264. 41-VEX: Oksara, you are a Twi'lek -- maybe she will listen to you
  265. Hunter E. (GM): Sit at a table like nothing happened (Cool)
  266. These are all options, you don't have to follow them, you can do your own thing.
  267. Oksara: Convince the dancer to let us in backstage
  268. Hunter E. (GM): That is an easy check (1p)
  269. for Charm
  270. Fable Creel: I think we should just sit at the table like nothing happened. Or hide in the closet.
  271. Hunter E. (GM): You all don't have to do the same thing :) you can do individual things
  272. Oksara: aye, then...
  273. Tracy G.: ah, OK
  274. Oksara charm a dancer to let me in
  275. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE 243 has been realized -- "pool opinions before acting". Confirmed. Now initiating protocol unlock, target -- closet door.
  276. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara roll your charm plus two purples
  277. I love that RPing there! :)
  278. Fable Creel glances at 41-VEX, and shrugs, following the droid.
  279. Hunter E. (GM): Mechanics check to open the door, 1p
  280. Oksara: failed!
  281. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara - the Twi'lek Dancer looks down at you and refuses to let you in... she does let you hold her scarf, though.
  282. George B.: 4 successes
  283. Hunter E. (GM): VEX - the door swoops open, you are free to enter if you want!
  284. Oksara: i take the scard and cover my tenacles
  285. Fable Creel: Score. Let's get in here, quickly.
  286. 41-VEX: entering closet
  287. Fable Creel enters the closet as well, and closes the door
  288. Hunter E. (GM): Go ahead and move your tokens
  289. Fable Creel: Can you lock it?
  290. Oksara: GM, is there a dark area where I can sneak in and idle watch event unfold?
  291. Hunter E. (GM): you could try and take a table at the booth and hope the pursurers don't see you when they come in
  292. George B.: have I dismantled the lock, or can I re-lock it?
  293. Oksara: I used my scarf to cover my head and pretend to join a drinking group
  294. Hunter E. (GM): You can relock it if you want, but it will also close just fine on its own
  295. Move your tokens :)
  296. George B.: where do we move them to? I don't see anything on the map ..?
  297. Tracy G.: Is there a map-like layout of the tavern, or are we just making up space as we go along?
  298. Hunter E. (GM): ah shit
  299. There you go
  300. lol
  301. Oksara: i see!
  302. 41-VEX: cool
  303. Hunter E. (GM): changed the map but forgot to change player placement
  304. Tracy G.: that helps a lot lol
  305. Hunter E. (GM): I'll bet lol
  306. 41-VEX: via comlink to Oksara: If you please, ma'am, we have a secure location behind the bar -- you may wish to join us
  307. Fable Creel: Vex....the closet is a bit cramped, can we really fit all of us in here?
  308. Oksara: via comlink to 41-VEX, I need this intel. this is the closest I ever been to him
  309. Hunter E. (GM): Moments after you hide yourself, a small troupe of pig-like Gamorreans carrying heavy, bone-breaking clubs steps through the door - Teemo's enforcers! They blink their beady little eyes in the gloom, peering about. Then, seeing nothing of interest, they grunt and whine in their primitive language and turn to go. You know they'll keep looking for you until you take them out. With their backs turned, this is the perfect moment to strike!
  310. Oksara: Let follow them
  311. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE 233: Restrain hostile feelings
  312. Fable Creel: Oksara - I wouldn't follow them. They're looking for us. We need to find a way off this planet.
  313. Oksara: Fable, we could sneak in their stronghold and steal a vechile to get out of here.
  314. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE 278 concurs -- "seek non-violent solutions"
  315. Fable Creel: Do you know how to drive a vehicle? The only things I know how to drive are spaceships. We need a spaceship.
  316. Hunter E. (GM): You recall from your time in Teemo's fortress that the halls are riddled with guards and shudder at the thought of going back to where you just escaped from.
  317. Tracy G.: Who was that recall directed at?
  318. Hunter E. (GM): Everyone, really. lol
  319. I'm doing you guys a favor.
  320. 41-VEX: :)
  321. Tracy G.: lol
  322. Oksara: lol
  323. Fable Creel: Isn't there another port where we could look for another ship? Perhaps a trading port?
  324. Oksara: alrigght, let shoot them up
  325. Hunter E. (GM): The Gamorreans are leaving. This is your last opportunity to strike while they are unawares.
  326. Oksara: about time this party get started
  327. Hunter E. (GM): Let the story unravel itself first ;)
  328. Oksara: aye
  329. 41-VEX: My perfect recall informs that there is a spaceship recently docked, the KRAYT FANG
  330. Fable Creel sneaks out of the closet, and checks to see the Gamorreans leaving, whispers over the comm:
  331. Hunter E. (GM) gives props to George
  332. Fable Creel: Krayt Fang...how far is it?
  333. Oksara: 41-VeX, do you know the locaation of the dock?
  334. 41-VEX: perhaps we could make use of it for our purposes
  335. Hunter E. (GM): Should you guys choose to attack, first person would get first hit, and so forth since this would be a surprise attack.
  336. No one knows where it is yet.
  337. Oksara: We can capture the guard and use them for intel
  338. Hunter E. (GM): You'll have to get that information. And the best place for information in any RPG is...?
  339. Oksara: roll dice
  340. Fable Creel: Maybe these thugs know? Let's get them, I'll take down the first one and you get them?
  341. Oksara: I aim my blaster to the first guard
  342. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  343. 41-VEX: a place of business that specializes in alcoholic comestibles
  344. Hunter E. (GM): We are entering combat now
  345. 41-VEX is on the right track lol
  346. But first, combat!
  347. normally, there would be an intiative roll but since Oksara shot first, she will go first
  348. 41-VEX: my programming suggests that we ask the barkeep -- oh well, too late
  349. Hunter E. (GM): Next, Fable and VEX need to roll their cool
  350. unchallenged (no purple dice)
  351. Tracy G.: OK
  352. to roll, do we put up two green dice if we have two greens?
  353. Oksara: me/ deep breath
  354. Hunter E. (GM): correct
  355. Oksara deep breath
  356. Hunter E. (GM): number of success/advantages determine turn order
  357. Tracy G.: Who goes first?
  358. Hunter E. (GM): still need for Fable to roll
  359. Oksara first so far
  360. then VEX then Fable
  361. Okay
  362. Fable Creel: OK
  363. Hunter E. (GM): on your left side of the screen
  364. 41-VEX: it is not part of my programming to be "uncool". Being cool is one of my DIRECTIVES -- number 262, to be exact, which states "Be cool, man."
  365. Fable Creel: (whoops, OOC)
  366. Hunter E. (GM): look for an icon that looks like a clock
  367. that is the turn order
  368. Tracy G.: I see a Turn Order list...
  369. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  370. Oksara: ditto
  371. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara goes first
  372. Now
  373. combat rules
  374. You get one free maneuver
  375. and one free action
  376. if you want a second maneuver, you put some strain on yourself for it
  377. Hunter E. (GM): Examples of Maneuvers include:
  378. * Moving
  379. * Aiming
  380. * Taking Cover
  381. * Readying/Holstering a weapon
  382. * Interacting with your envrionment
  383. Hunter E. (GM): * Engaging or disengaging
  384. * Standing up
  385. Actions include:
  386. - Performing an attack
  387. - Using a skill
  388. basically, maneuvers are things you do to move
  389. Hunter E. (GM): and actions are things you do to attac
  390. k
  391. Tracy G.: OK
  392. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara already had her weapon out
  393. the other two are still in the closet
  394. Oksara doesn't have a line of sight, so she will have to move as a maneuver
  395. then fire
  396. George B.: "still in the closet" ..? Hey now, don't get judgy. Everyone loves in their own way
  397. Tracy G.: lol
  398. Hunter E. (GM): It's 2ABY, my man. You can come out of the closet anytime you want.
  399. :)
  400. Michael D.: lol
  401. George B.: haha
  402. Oksara: I rolled out of the table and take a shot at the first guard
  403. Hunter E. (GM): Go ahead and move
  404. your token
  405. :)
  406. then roll an average check
  407. (2p)
  408. for your blaster carbine
  409. Oksara: is that a heavy or light gun
  410. Hunter E. (GM): Heavy
  411. 41-VEX: flesh beings. Always got to be flashy. Would droids roll? No. No, we would not.
  412. Hunter E. (GM): On the next page, it stats out your carbine
  413. haha
  414. Oksara: i see it
  415. score!
  416. Tracy G.: whoa
  417. Hunter E. (GM): that would've been a great roll, but you need two purple dice too
  418. lol
  419. go ahead and roll 2 purples separately and we'll cancel the two rolls out as needed
  420. or just reroll, that works too
  421. :)
  422. Oksara osaka rise
  423. Hunter E. (GM): i'm not choosy
  424. Tracy G.: lol
  425. Hunter E. (GM): The laser lets loose a loud PSHEW. The Two of the Gamorreans turn around in time to see their comrade hit the ground, face first.
  426. Oksara glance over to the closet
  427. Hunter E. (GM): That's one Gamorrean down, two more to go!
  428. The Gamorreans did not see where the gunfire came from!
  429. 41-VEX woohoo!
  430. Hunter E. (GM): VEX's turn
  431. 41-VEX: can I defer my initiative to Fable, first?
  432. Hunter E. (GM): That's a first
  433. hmm
  434. Sure, I don't see the harm in it. The Gamorreans are still surprised.
  435. 41-VEX: ok I will do that
  436. Hunter E. (GM): Okay, Fable's turn
  437. Tracy G.: OK. So, two green and two purple after I do my manuver?
  438. Hunter E. (GM): You are shooting, right?
  439. Fable Creel: Yes
  440. Hunter E. (GM): After you move?
  441. Then yes
  442. (To GM): I would still like to go before the gamorrans though
  443. Hunter E. (GM): :)
  444. Tracy G.: Yes, my bad
  445. ok
  446. Fable Creel sneaks out of the closet as quietly as possible, and aims for the Gamorrean on the right side of the door. She then shoots.
  447. Hunter E. (GM): Can't aim, that's another maneuver
  448. Tracy G.: OK, so I just shoot?
  449. George B.: and would it be her right, or their right?
  450. Hunter E. (GM): Correct
  451. Tracy G.: the right side as we see on the screen
  452. Hunter E. (GM): Roll away :)
  453. Tracy G.: hoos, threats
  454. 41-VEX ping!
  455. Hunter E. (GM): Your shot hits the Gamorrean!
  456. The Gamorreans squeal and grunt and point in your general direction.
  457. The Gamorreans are now targeting you!
  458. VEX's turn
  459. 41-VEX for a droid, a ping! is the same as a biological being's "gulp!"
  460. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  461. I like it
  462. Michael D.: lol
  463. Fable Creel: Oh, crap.
  464. 41-VEX: logic dictates firing from the most defensible position. I close the closet door until only my optic circle and blaster barrel are showing, then fire on the Gamorrans
  465. Hunter E. (GM): Roll away
  466. Wait, which one?
  467. 41-VEX: I will increase strain to aim properly at the one that is not yet injured
  468. Hunter E. (GM): Minus two strain
  469. (don't worry, strain can be recovered to an extent after combat)
  470. add one blue dice to your roll
  471. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE 262, part B: "don't worry, be happy"
  472. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  473. Tracy G.: LMAO
  474. Michael D.: lol
  475. 41-VEX: do I do purple dice?
  476. Hunter E. (GM): yes, always assume combat checks are 2 purple dice
  477. in fact, most checks are 2p
  478. otherwise noted
  479. *unless otherwise noted
  480. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE 263: "at other times, worry"
  481. Hunter E. (GM): A miss!
  482. But the Gamorreans are now stunned that there is more than one attacker!
  483. 41-VEX double ping!
  484. Tracy G.: DO we shoot again?
  485. Hunter E. (GM): To be fair, they should've expected it, after all they were chasing three escapees, but Gamorreans aren't exactly well-known for their intellect.
  486. George B.: hahhaa
  487. Hunter E. (GM): It is now the Gamorreans' turn
  488. Tracy G.: OK
  489. Oksara sniggering at the gamorreans for their stupidity
  490. Hunter E. (GM): This Gamorrean moves to strike Fable
  491. and let me pull up my own GM dice
  492. Fable Creel: Oh shit!
  493. Hunter E. (GM): The Gamorrean swings his cudgel and misses, tripping himself up in the process!
  494. (one setback dice to his next roll)
  495. The next Gamorrean attempts to follow suit!
  496. Fable Creel raises her eyebrow at the gamorrean for being clumsy as hell, then eeps as the other one comes up to her.
  497. 41-VEX: biological excrement!
  498. Hunter E. (GM): And in true Gamorrean fashion, misses as well, although this time he falls on top of Fable, knocking her down!
  499. Fable Creel: Ouch!
  500. Hunter E. (GM): Take two strain damage, Fable
  501. Oksara's turn
  502. Tracy G.: on the circle thing?
  503. Hunter E. (GM): Yes, go from 12 to 10
  504. 41-VEX: I wonder who told the Gamorrans to bring cudgels to a blaster fight ..?
  505. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  506. Oksara: i run to Fable and attempt to pull off the Gamorrans off her
  507. Hunter E. (GM): Coordination check
  508. And you can only move one
  509. (it was the topmost one that fell on her)
  510. Michael D.: can I change my story?
  511. Tracy G.: Should yo move the gamorran on top of me then?
  512. Hunter E. (GM): Sure
  513. :)
  514. This is the tutorial, mulligans are allowed here
  515. Oksara: I lined up my blaster to be able to shooth both guard with one shot
  516. Tracy G.: wouldn't that also hit me as well?
  517. Oksara: i strained not to hit Fable and shoot
  518. Hunter E. (GM): you're not quite lined up
  519. You'd have to move
  520. Yes, it'd hit her too lol, you can't say "I don't hit her" as a maneuver, the dice decide whether you hit her or not :)
  521. Oksara: oy vey! i aim for the top one's weakness spot for a killshot
  522. the deag uard will pin the bottom guard down
  523. Hunter E. (GM): roll with one blue dice added :)
  524. they are both on the ground, remember
  525. one is on top of Fable
  526. best you can do is shoot to kill one
  527. Oksara: i choose top
  528. Hunter E. (GM): Which, you do. lol
  529. 41-VEX: don't aim for the head -- they can afford to lose that
  530. Hunter E. (GM): Damn lol, the shade of it all.
  531. Oksara laugh
  532. Hunter E. (GM): The Gamorrean dies and the blast of the shot forces it to roll off Fable!
  533. Fable's turn!
  534. Fable Creel: Oof.
  535. Hunter E. (GM): Now, before you shoot
  536. 41-VEX: :)
  537. Hunter E. (GM): This is a good time to explain range bands
  538. Your weapons have different ranges
  539. Tracy G.: yeah? Is mine in range?
  540. Hunter E. (GM): Engaged, Close, Medium, Long, Extremely Long
  541. As long as you fire your weapon within your range band, you will shoot with average checks
  542. however, for each band you are outside, either closer or further, you get one more difficulty dice added
  543. Fable, your weapon is a Medium range weapon
  544. The last remaining Gamorrean is too close to you
  545. That's like holding a long gun to something in front of you, you have to adjust yourself to shoot comfortably
  546. Tracy G.: OK
  547. Hunter E. (GM): As a result, if you shoot, it will be a hard check (3p)
  548. 41-VEX: comfort is a limitation of meat beings
  549. Hunter E. (GM): Okay there, HK-47
  550. lol
  551. Tracy G.: Hrm. OK. Can I scuttle over to the tables, and shoot from there?
  552. Hunter E. (GM): as long as you stay on the ground, yes
  553. otherwise if you get up, that is another 2 strain
  554. 41-VEX: However, I am programmed with DIRECTIVE 258: "Commend sincere efforts." So. You can do this!
  555. Hunter E. (GM): because getting up is another maneuver
  556. Tracy G.: Gotcha
  557. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  558. 41-VEX: As a medical bot, I am programmed to extend the limitations, and maximize the comfort, of vulnerable bioligicals
  559. Fable Creel scrambles over to to the tavern's tables making sure to keep her eye on Gamorrean, going under one of the tables, and shoots at the Gamorrean.
  560. Hunter E. (GM): Roll for it :) 2p
  561. 41-VEX: Please do not make me work too hard to do so, after this is all over
  562. Fable Creel: Wow, bad rolls. lol
  563. Tracy G.: My bad, that was ooc
  564. Hunter E. (GM): You injure the Gamorrean grievously, but in his death throes, he gives out a war squeal! This slightly injures your ears.
  565. Take 1 strain
  566. He is still alive, though!
  567. And it is VEX's turn
  568. Fable Creel: Man, he's a noisy one
  569. 41-VEX: I move to the bar to lean over it and speak to the Gamorran (with perfect squeely accent). "Please observe your soft and wet parts are dissembling. I am a medical protocol droid, and my programmed knowledge may keep your biological functions operating. To do so, I will need you to drop your weapon and give us your complete cooperation. You have 3 seconds to comply."
  570. Hunter E. (GM): lol
  571. this is a coerce check, go for it.
  572. Tracy G.: nice.
  573. Hunter E. (GM): or a Deceit
  574. Either way, not great for VEX lol
  575. Oksara salutes at 41-Vex
  576. George B.: I am just as bad at both of those. I need some upgrades :)
  577. ah...
  578. Hunter E. (GM): You can either go for it or retry that play
  579. George B.: nope, I already went for it. Apparently, I forgot not to use simple words when speaking to a Gamorran. My mistake
  580. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  581. 2p then
  582. And that failed
  583. Oksara cringes
  584. Hunter E. (GM): The Gamorrean snorts and grunts, turning around to the source of the voice - the other escapee Teemo told him to find!
  585. 41-VEX waves feebly
  586. Hunter E. (GM): The Gamorrean now targets you
  587. He stands up and swings his club at you!
  588. well
  589. what a twist
  590. He successfully hits VEX for a total damage of 2
  591. 41-VEX: whoof
  592. Oksara looks worried
  593. Hunter E. (GM): but his follow-through was so hard, it hits the plastisteel bar and bonks right back in his face, killing him instanteously
  594. George B.: hahahaha
  595. Oksara sigh with relief
  596. Hunter E. (GM): yeah, one success and 4 threats lol
  597. minions don't take strain damage - any strain damage goes towards their wounds
  598. Fable Creel frowns at the Gamorrean, heading out from under the table now that the coast's clear.
  599. Hunter E. (GM): Story sequence starting soon
  600. 41-VEX: I am struggling with DIRECTIVE 242: "avoid premature value judgements", and DIRECTIVE 273: "avoid stereotyping" ... but ... yeah, typical Gamorran baboon
  601. Hunter E. (GM): hahaha
  602. The Gamorreans are defeated! The silence that follows is broken by slow, unamused applause. The Devaronian bartender approaches and laughs a brittle little laugh. "I guess you're folks who need to get off the planet in a hurry. The good news for you is that I happen to know that there's a freighter in Landing Bay Aurek right now. The bad news is its captain, Trex, is an associate of the Hutts and won't just let you on. The other bad news is that the reason I know it's still in the landing bay is that it has a broken HYPERMATTER REACTOR IGNITER (HMRI) and won't be flying anywhere until it gets a new one installed. I bet VORN over at the junk shop has one." Then he points at the door, "Now get out of my cantina."
  603. Fable Creel glances at Oksara and VEX.
  604. Fable Creel: Well, there's our intel. We should check out the junk shop.
  605. Oksara: Is it safe to go out?
  606. Hunter E. (GM): It is safe to go out.
  607. Oksara: I walk out of the cantiana and head towrd the shop
  608. 41-VEX: We offer our sincere appreciation for this intel, barman. In exchange, allow me to share with you DIRECTIVE 246, which may similarly aid you in future: "Don't rush at traffic lights."
  609. Hunter E. (GM): Junk shop is juuust north of you.
  610. Bartender: Thanks... I guess?
  611. Fable Creel smiles at the bartender.
  612. Bartender grunts
  613. 41-VEX: Exits
  614. Fable Creel: Thanks again! See ya laters!
  615. Michael D.: lol!
  616. Fable Creel heads out towards the junk shop.
  617. Hunter E. (GM): The junk shop is immediately obvious by the scrapyard adjoining the low pourstone building. As you step inside, you see a hunched old human male lurking behind a low counter covered with disassembled droid and machine parts. The man glances up at you, then turns to a garbage can-shaped R5 droid standing at his side. he kicks the droid and shrieks, "You're supposed to tell me when I have customers, you bucket of bolts! Go outside and finish stripping that speeder bike wreck." The droid trundles off with a surly "bo-ooooop!" and the man turns to you. "Welcome, customers! As you can see," he pointsat the racks and shelves and enormous buckets full of scrap metal and parts. "I have anything you could want... for the right price."
  618. Ah, before we do this.
  619. Restoring Strain
  620. Look at either your values in your Presence characteristic and your ranks in Cool
  621. Whichever is higher, that many points goes back to your strain (still can't exceed maximum strain)
  622. George B.: ok, cool -- but it isn't accessible right now
  623. Hunter E. (GM): Oskara has 3 presence, but 0 ranks in Cool, so Oskara gets 3 points of strain back
  624. ?
  625. George B.: oh wait, I got it
  626. Tracy G.: 2 prsence and 1 cool?
  627. Hunter E. (GM): 2 strain back :)
  628. Everyone fix their strains?
  629. George B.: yes
  630. Tracy G.: yup
  631. Hunter E. (GM): And now back to our regularly scheduled adventure!
  632. Oksara: "Words on street said you have a HMRI"
  633. Vorn: Wordonthestreet talks too much, then.
  634. 41-VEX: bo-ooooop! bo-oooooop!! And I go out back to talk to the R5
  635. Hunter E. (GM): You go talk to the R5
  636. Vorn: Pay that R5 no mind, he's been dismantled to the point where he's only useful for repairs.
  637. Fable Creel frowns a bit, listening in on the conversation between Oksara and Vorn.
  638. Oksara distract Vorn while Vex communicate with the R5
  639. Hunter E. (GM): How do you distract Vorn?
  640. Oksara: I put my hand upon his crotch
  641. Hunter E. (GM): Well, okay then.
  642. Tracy G.: .....whoa, we're getting in some interesting terrority there.
  643. Hunter E. (GM): Gonna be that kind of game lol
  644. Oksara: I use my charm to sexually arouse him
  645. Vorn: Pah, I don't know what kind of trick you're trying to pull, but at my age, the only thing that excites me these days is credits.
  646. Michael D.: that's as far as I will go
  647. 41-VEX: Hey there R5, your master is a nasty meat puppet, isn't he? Care for some assistance with this speeder bike? I have some recent mechanical upgrades that may make short work of it. Us droids got to stick together, am I right?
  648. Hunter E. (GM): That's two reds lol
  649. (to Oksara)
  650. Michael D.: two red?
  651. Tracy G.: roll checks
  652. Hunter E. (GM): Two red dice, yes. With your charm check
  653. Michael D.: plus 2 purple?
  654. aye
  655. Hunter E. (GM): No, reds are worse than purples lol you generally want to stay away from reds
  656. George B.: just 2 reds and whatever you have for charm. work those tentacles, sister!
  657. Hunter E. (GM): (I will get back to the R5 convo in a bit)
  658. Michael D.: ugh, those tantacles are saggy
  659. Tracy G.: lmao!
  660. Hunter E. (GM): (this is why it's a GM's nightmare to split a party lol)
  661. Vorn is not interested in your advances, but he does notice your credit padd.
  662. Vorn: Like I said... only thing that excites me is credits.
  663. George B.: well, you fail to turn him on, but hey -- it has got to be pretty distracting, anyway ...
  664. Michael D.: offer to play a gamble
  665. Tracy G.: I'm just chilling here. lmao
  666. R5 Droid: R5-MUST-REPAIR
  667. R5-MUST-NOT-SPEAK-TO-CUSTOMERS
  668. EVEN-THOUGH-R5-DISLIKES-MASTER
  669. 41-VEX: Me? A customer? No chance. I'm a repair droid, just like you!
  670. Michael D.: Can I kill a NPC?
  671. 41-VEX: come on, pass me that spanner, let's get this thing going again
  672. Hunter E. (GM): I encourage talk before shoot lol
  673. This is Mos Shuuta, a Huttese owned city
  674. Oksara: I offer to buy the R5
  675. Hunter E. (GM): For all you know, Vorn could be made
  676. 41-VEX ping!
  677. R5 Droid ignores VEX and continues repairing bikes
  678. 41-VEX: Wow, look at you go! That is some slick programming, it sure is. I bet nothing gets past such a capable R5 like you
  679. Hunter E. (GM): Use your skills to your strengths
  680. There are other things you can try with Vorn
  681. Fable Creel just watches the street, and glances over at Oksara.
  682. R5 Droid: R5-IS-BEST-REPAIRDROID-IN-MOS-SHUUTA
  683. Fable Creel: I don't think Vorn's got anything we're interested in. I mean, we only need one thing, not some broken-ass droid.
  684. 41-VEX: I bet the only thing you couldn't repair would be ... now, let me see ... you surely couldn't repair an HMRI
  685. R5 Droid: R5-REPAIRED-AN-HMRI-EARLIER
  686. R5-IS-BEST-REPAIRDROID-IN-MOS-SHUUTA
  687. Oksara is impressed
  688. Vorn yells at the R5 droid
  689. Vorn: Hey! Shut up about that!
  690. R5 Droid gives a beep and a few clicks and goes back to repairing bikes
  691. 41-VEX: Whaaat? No? Really?? Boy, I wish I could believe that. I would have to see the repair input code on that one...
  692. Fable Creel glances at Vorn and sighs.
  693. Fable Creel: Vorn. Do you really not have an HMRI? My ship could use a lil' fixing up.
  694. Vorn: Well, uh
  695. Fable Creel smirks.
  696. Vorn: Maybe for the right price, I might have one.
  697. That Wordonthestreet guy might not be a liar after all.
  698. Fable Creel: Oh, really? What are you thinking?
  699. Vorn: I'm thinking I might only have one that is already promised to the captain of the Krayt Fang.
  700. Trex, in case you hadn't heard of him.
  701. He's a pretty nasty Trandoshan.
  702. Fable Creel: Ah, yes, Trex. The slave trader.
  703. Vorn: So if I had one, it'd have to be worth my time to part with it.
  704. Fable Creel: Hrm. I see what you mean.
  705. Fable Creel glances over at Oksara thinking.
  706. Vorn rubs his fingers together and winks
  707. Tracy G.: How many credits do we have again? I'm ignorant on how much is good.
  708. 41-VEX: Do you know what would really torque your master off? If he went to go get that HMRI, and it turned up not to be in his inventory ... and, when I travel off-planet, I could certainly show that recent repair code to the mechanic droids guild, and you'd undoubtedly be recognized as the finest repair droid on M.S. ...!
  709. Hunter E. (GM): everyone starts with 400 credits
  710. Oksara: I pitch in my 400
  711. Hunter E. (GM): Do the math here lol
  712. Oh, you haven't heard what he's asking for it.
  713. nvm :)
  714. Tracy G.: yeah lol
  715. R5 Droid: R5'S-MASTER-WOULD-BE-EVISCERATED.
  716. Tracy G.: I was trying to inquire about the pricing.
  717. R5 Droid: R5-WOULD-THEN-HAVE-NOTHING-TO-REPAIR
  718. 41-VEX: yes .. that would be ... (droid smile)
  719. Fable Creel: Hrm. How many credits are we talking? We do need to watch our budget, so if we can come to the right price....
  720. Vorn: I'm thinking, hnnnn... 1500 credits should be enough to clear Trex's down payment as well as keep me afloat for losing such a precious piece of equipment.
  721. 41-VEX: Ah! But what good would a HMRI be to me, if it were to go out, again? I'd need a VERY skilled R5 unit to come along with me, to repair it .. and SO MANY other interesting things on the ship ... !
  722. Fable Creel frowns a bit.
  723. R5 Droid uses his built in spanner to point to the restraining bolt welded to his headpiece
  724. Tracy G.: does my cunning/streetwise skilsl come in handy with haggling?
  725. Hunter E. (GM): that's what Negotiation is for.
  726. 41-VEX: uses mechanics skill to disable the restraining bolt
  727. R5 Droid: 1p1r
  728. Hunter E. (GM): * 1p14
  729. damn
  730. 1p1r
  731. Fable Creel: I see. Unfortunatley, 1500 is a bit much. Would you be willing to consider let's say....800?
  732. 41-VEX: ba-baaaam! and bo-booooop!!
  733. Hunter E. (GM): well shit, that did not go as expected lol
  734. You removed the restraining bolt.
  735. 41-VEX: via comlink: keep him busy!! and be noisy, I'm welding out here
  736. Hunter E. (GM): Roll 1p1r for negotiate
  737. Tracy G.: I have 2 green for negotiate, right?
  738. Hunter E. (GM): Correct
  739. Tracy G.: oohs
  740. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara however has 3g
  741. 41-VEX: R5 (I'm going to call you Fiver), let's get that HMRI and get going, pal
  742. Hunter E. (GM): You succeed in bringing the price down to 800, but you will have to give up something else in the trade.
  743. And this whole party needs to communicate with each other because we have two potential solutions to get the HMRI lol
  744. and if they overlap, well
  745. Tracy G.: Yeah. I was just trying to distract him. lol
  746. 41-VEX: it's all in the timing
  747. Hunter E. (GM): There is a difference between player knowledge and character knowledge :)
  748. Tracy G.: I can refuse to give up, right? Like eh, drop it?
  749. Oksara: I want to keep on negiotating
  750. George B.: well, so far you know that I've asked you to keep him busy, so I hope you would do that as much as you could
  751. Oksara: use deceit, telling him that the Hutt found a better shop
  752. Hunter E. (GM): What Hutt? lol
  753. Tracy G.: Yeah, I view price haggling as a form of distraction, if that's acceptable
  754. Michael D.: me too
  755. Hunter E. (GM): That's fine :)
  756. Oksara: I meant TREX
  757. George B.: I thought it was great -- you already knew that money was his motivator
  758. Vorn: I guess I could go down to 800, but I'd need some kind of trade off to make it a fair price.
  759. Tracy G.: should I continue with distraction while you try to make off with the HRMI?
  760. George B.: motivator ... lol ... "This droid's got a bad motivator!" ... but, I digress
  761. R5 Droid: R5-IS-FREE-TO-REPAIR-OUTSIDE-OF-MOS-SHUUTA?
  762. George B.: we can't have that conversation, Tracy -- I can talk to you via comlink, because he isn't there to hear me, but you can't talk to me with him right there
  763. 41-VEX: Yes Fiver, but you need to come with me and we've got to get out of here on that ship -- let's get the HMRI, and be on our way
  764. R5 Droid opens chest compartment
  765. Fable Creel sighs.
  766. Fable Creel: What kind of trade offw ould you be talking about here?
  767. R5 Droid: R5-HAS-HMRI. R5'S-MASTER-ORDERED-R5-TO-HIDE-HMRI
  768. Vorn: Anything worth credits.
  769. Vorn gives a sly chuckle
  770. George B.: hey cool .. do I have a chest compartment? lol
  771. Vorn: That droid over there looks much like Teemo's missing droid. Might be worth a pretty credit.
  772. Oksara: I think we will decline this deal and leave
  773. Vorn: You know... now that I look at you, you look like that missing Twi'lek too...
  774. ...and the escaped Human
  775. Fable Creel: Oh, really? I haven't heard about that.
  776. Vorn: Maybe I should be asking you to pay me to stay quiet.
  777. 41-VEX: via comlink: I've secured the HMRI -- we need to go -- but there's a problem. He'll never let us leave with the droid, that's where the HMRI was hidden
  778. Oksara: How about I pay you with letting you live?
  779. Vorn: Otherwise, uh, Teemo's guards might be helping me with the facial recognition here...
  780. Fable Creel shifts a to whsiper in the commlink
  781. 41-VEX: via comlink: May I suggest direct opposition to DIRECTIVE: 278 "seek non-violent solutions"? Take him out.
  782. Fable Creel: Hurry. We need to go with the droid then.
  783. Vorn: What droid?
  784. Oksara: I don't know what you're talking about
  785. Fable Creel: Our droid, Vorn. Whose droid did you think I was talking about?
  786. Vorn: R5! Get in here!
  787. Tracy G.: are we close enough to knock him out?
  788. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE: 245 "If you haven't got anything nice to say, do your talking with a blaster"
  789. Hunter E. (GM): Just be careful, Mos Shuuta is a busy place.
  790. Never know who might be listening or nearby.
  791. Michael D.: sorry, thatquote qas quite direct to Vorn
  792. 41-VEX: Non-mechanicals are quite easily held by restraints
  793. I suggest we employ them on Vorn, immediately
  794. Oksara nod in argeement
  795. Hunter E. (GM): If you guys mean to restrain Vorn, you'll have to look around for something to restrain him with and use an athletics check to restrain him.
  796. That's one check for Perception to find something
  797. Oksara: I want to do a sleeper hold
  798. Hunter E. (GM): And another athletics check to restrain
  799. Oksara: that's coord check?
  800. 41-VEX: Heads back into the shop. Following DIRECTIVE 240: "Participate in group activities". Also throwing myself into the fray
  801. Hunter E. (GM): Grappling rules are as much a nightmare in this game as they are in DnD, let's try and stay away from those lol
  802. George B.: lol
  803. Michael D.: aye sir!
  804. Tracy G.: lol ok
  805. Michael D.: I scan around the room for a long rope
  806. 41-VEX: Fiver, you must know where all of the cording and strapping are in this shop? Would you be a dear, and go collect it:?
  807. Hunter E. (GM): Perception check, 2p
  808. R5 is a free droid now, you'll have to charm him into it lol
  809. Fable Creel also glances around for anything she can use to restrain Vorn.
  810. Hunter E. (GM): But you did help him, so your difficulty is reduced by one
  811. so it's a 1p check
  812. 41-VEX: R5 can make up his own mind now
  813. George B.: ok
  814. 41-VEX: ack
  815. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara sees a rope, but also a Gamorrean walking by.
  816. Michael D.: (sleath) I sneak iout of sight
  817. Hunter E. (GM): R5 does not help, but he also does not wave down the Guard
  818. Michael D.: Stealth
  819. Hunter E. (GM): 2p stealth check
  820. Tracy G.: do I need to roll anything?
  821. Hunter E. (GM): Only if you want to try something :)
  822. Tracy G.: I was looking around. Action
  823. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara already found a rope, is there anything else you were looking for?
  824. Oksara hides successfully from the guard
  825. Tracy G.: SOmething better than a rope?
  826. Michael D.: lol
  827. Hunter E. (GM): You can certainly try a Perception 2p check
  828. :)
  829. 41-VEX: R5 -- Fiver -- listen buddy, take it from one free droid to another ... we really need to get off this planet, and to do that we'll have to work together. Are we in agreement on this?
  830. Tracy G.: for my perception, I ahve 2 green and one yellow..set that wth 2p?
  831. R5 Droid: R5-HAS-OPINIONS-NOW?
  832. Hunter E. (GM): correct
  833. You see more rope.
  834. Michael D.: ROLF
  835. Tracy G.: lmao.
  836. 41-VEX: Yes! You have a new name, new friends, and new opinions! It's great to have these things! And you can keep them, all of them, if we get off this planet together
  837. R5 Droid: AND-R5-WILL-REPAIR?
  838. Oksara: Fable, let' use ropes to restrain Vorn
  839. Vorn: Hey, what?
  840. Fable Creel nods at Oksara and quickly manuvers behidn Vorn
  841. Hunter E. (GM): First person to attempt to restrain check is who?
  842. 41-VEX: Fiver, my friends -- your friends now too -- are the BEST at breaking things. You will repair to your heart's content.
  843. Oksara point at herself
  844. Tracy G.: Me, cover his mouth and grab his hands?
  845. Hunter E. (GM): Athletics check for a restrain
  846. One at a time lol
  847. Michael D.: tracy, we both have rope, better odd to succed
  848. can we combine force?
  849. R5 Droid: R5-IS-AMENABLE-TO-THIS
  850. R5 Droid joins your party
  851. 41-VEX: yahoo
  852. Hunter E. (GM): You can do one check after another
  853. if someone fails, but has advantages, it can carry over to the next person's attempt
  854. however, the threats also carry over
  855. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE 236 achieved: "promote pro-social values"
  856. Tracy G.: Ok, I can try rolling first then you next, Michael?
  857. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara successfully restrains Vorn, but not before he calls for help
  858. Vorn: Hey! Help!
  859. Tracy G.: purple?
  860. 41-VEX: I would high-five R5, but I think he has no arms, so I just clonk him good-naturedly on the top of his carapace
  861. Vorn: 2p
  862. Hunter E. (GM): 2p
  863. 41-VEX: carapace? chassis. one of those. lol
  864. Hunter E. (GM): Good call, VEX lol
  865. It's chassis :)
  866. Carapace is for insects
  867. Tracy G.: I think I slap my hands over his mouth quickly and we move him out of sight? Can we do that?
  868. 41-VEX: :)
  869. George B.: right
  870. Hunter E. (GM): Survival check
  871. 2p
  872. Fable Creel: :D
  873. (oops. Ooc)
  874. Vorn tries to scream, but is muffled
  875. 41-VEX: Fiver, we need straps and tape and clamps and other restraints, pronto
  876. Hunter E. (GM): Have you guys not restrained this poor man enough? lol
  877. Tracy G.: not until he turns into a moth-cocoon!
  878. Oksara: Now we got the HMRI, let get out of here
  879. R5 Droid points the party to the adhesives shelf
  880. George B.: haha ... yes, so long as we are certain he won't be found, or get loose, or summon any guards after us, until after we are well off-planet
  881. Oksara: check out the shelf
  882. Hunter E. (GM): You guys play too much Hitman lol
  883. Tracy G.: I've never played that game lol
  884. 41-VEX: I'll tape his mouth shut (but not his nose) with the warm feeling that I am following DIRECTIVE 256: "discourage harsh language" in doing so
  885. Tracy G.: lol
  886. Hunter E. (GM): You tape his mouth shut.
  887. Vorn looks at you angrily
  888. Fable Creel continues to tie Vorn up, and ties him to an pole that seems sturdy.
  889. 41-VEX: with speeder bike tape. he won't be talking again until after a visit from a medical droid
  890. Tracy G.: can I do that?
  891. Hunter E. (GM): Sure, why not? lol
  892. You tape him to a pole.
  893. Tracy G.: Any roll checks for that?
  894. 41-VEX: Perhaps in a closet, somewhere out of sight? Then we can close his shop up and go
  895. Hunter E. (GM): Nah, we'll call that one an incidentical. :)
  896. Tracy G.: sweet
  897. Fable Creel: We got him tied up. Let's close up shop and head over to the bay quickly.
  898. Fable Creel turns and grins at Vorn.
  899. Vorn furrows his eyebrows
  900. Fable Creel: Thanks for all your help! Good luck with the rest of your business.
  901. 41-VEX: haha
  902. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  903. Now that you have an HMRI
  904. And thanks to your time spent in Mos Shuuta, you actually have some knowledge of the protocols of a ship leaving and arriving.
  905. You know that before a ship can leave Mos Shuuta, you have to get it cleared to fly AND the docking clamps off
  906. Both of which can only be done at the Spaceport Control
  907. Tracy G.: Oh dear, OK.
  908. Hunter E. (GM): Let me make a token quick for R5
  909. 41-VEX: hmm. So we go to Spaceport Control to get those things done, before we go to Landing Bay Aurek/Warehouse Aurek to get to the ship
  910. Oksara: to the group, should we sneak in
  911. 41-VEX: It's chancy, but much better than an all out attack. We'd have no chance with that
  912. Fable Creel: Indeed. Is anyone good with sneaking around? Vex, can you do some hacking as well?
  913. Oksara: I can sneak in, not a problem
  914. 41-VEX: I make loud clanking sounds when I go anywhere ... I'm pretty bad at sneaking
  915. Hunter E. (GM): ok, back
  916. Fable Creel: All right, Oksara, can you break into their computers and get us cleared and the docking clamps off?
  917. Hunter E. (GM): You'll have to see what's there first before you make a strategy.
  918. 41-VEX: Oh, but I must have had some cleverness recently installed ... I have an idea :)
  919. Oksara: I'll see what I can find
  920. Can you guys keep lookout?
  921. 41-VEX: Before we leave the Junk Shop, R5, I need you to do something for me
  922. Hunter E. (GM): The spaceport control facility is a low, squat building clinging to the edge of the Mos Shuuta bluff. The front entrance stands open, but a pair of spaceport security droids stand at attention. If you're going to get off Tatooine, you need to disable the docking clamps holding the Krayt Fang in its landing bay, and you can only do that inside spaceport control. You'll have to either get past those droids somehow, or find another way in.
  923. Tracy G.: lol, I think we're still at the junk shop, since Vex wants R5 to do something?
  924. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  925. Hunter E. (GM) plays rewinding sounds
  926. 41-VEX: Since he is a repair droid, and it is a bit tougher to do this on myself, I would like him to reconfigure my face and external chassis by welding on some junk metal to change my appearance
  927. Nothing that would interfere with my functions at all, just totally change my look
  928. Hunter E. (GM): Purely cosmetic purposes?
  929. Sure lol
  930. As long as it isn't too much
  931. 41-VEX: yes, I don't want to be recognizable as the droid that Hutt lost, anymore
  932. Hunter E. (GM): Ahhh, wise.
  933. Fable Creel: Hrm. I wonder if Oksara and I can find something to disguise ourselves, as well.
  934. Hunter E. (GM): You can do a perception check.
  935. 2p
  936. Fable Creel looks around the shop sear4ching for items
  937. Oksara: I stillhave my scarf, I will use that to disgue myself
  938. Tracy G.: That's a fail but I got advanrtages, right?
  939. 41-VEX: As a medical droid, I could do plastic surgery, but we don't have that kind of time .. :)
  940. Hunter E. (GM): Fable finds nothing that can help disguise her, but she does find a padd labeled "Trex's Repairs Down Payment"
  941. Fable finds 400 credits
  942. 41-VEX: woohoo
  943. Fable Creel: Sweet, credits.
  944. Vorn gives a quiet groan and closes his eyes
  945. Hunter E. (GM): Vorn knows he is in deep bantha poodoo.
  946. 41-VEX: hahahaa
  947. Tracy G.: Can I continue searching? Maybe I could go to Vorn's living quarters if I ask R5 where it is?
  948. Hunter E. (GM): You really get one search per area.
  949. Tracy G.: Gotcha. Thanks for the heads up.
  950. Hunter E. (GM): I allowed the second search since you were looking for something specific both times.
  951. But it's not really something you usually do often :)
  952. R5 would not know where Vorn lives - R5 has only known the shop.
  953. Fable Creel looks at Vex, waiting for him to finishw hatever he needs to do.
  954. R5 Droid gives VEX a fabulous metallic makeover
  955. 41-VEX: Well, that is all about to change, Fiver. There's worlds and worlds out there. Let's go
  956. Oksara waking up
  957. R5 Droid gives an elated bweep!
  958. 41-VEX glows
  959. 41-VEX is fabulous
  960. Oksara: yes, you do loook great Vexie
  961. Are you guys ready to roll?
  962. 41-VEX: Ready for my close-up
  963. Hunter E. (GM): lol
  964. Fable Creel: Yep. Let's go scout out the port control.
  965. Hunter E. (GM) fast forwards. wicky-wicky-wicky
  967. George B.: hahaha nice sound effects
  968. Tracy G.: lol
  969. Oksara: Use Perp to find a opening
  970. Hunter E. (GM): :)
  971. Fable Creel: Should we search around the perimeter?
  972. Hunter E. (GM): If you decide to use perception, move your token to a certain place
  973. and Look in that area
  974. 41-VEX: Let's go around, yes. I still like the non-frontal approach
  975. Oksara: i'm at side enterance
  976. Hunter E. (GM): Roll for perception
  977. 41-VEX: C'mon Fiver
  978. Oksara glaring hard
  979. George B.: now I know why C3P0 was always saying "C'mon" ...
  980. Hunter E. (GM): Haha
  981. R5 is good at taking direction, but not making his own
  982. :)
  983. Oksara sees a beautiful suns-set
  984. Tracy G.: lol
  985. Hunter E. (GM): But looked too long and the suns got in her eyes.
  986. Take 1 strain of damage.
  987. George B.: well, he needs several decades of freedom to really come into his own
  988. Fable Creel: Let me see. I'll look around and see what I can find.
  989. Hunter E. (GM): brb bio
  990. Tracy G.: ok. Do I need to "discover" the door or is it obvious it's there?
  991. George B.: I think the door must be clearly there, but to notice something particular about it, maybe?
  992. Tracy G.: that's what I was thinking
  993. 41-VEX: I'm trying to get an angle on the windows
  994. Michael D.: BRB, bio too
  995. George B.: ok, me too, lol
  996. Hunter E. (GM): back
  997. George B.: back
  998. Tracy G.: WB, I WAS SO BOREEEDDD
  999. lol
1000. Hunter E. (GM): While there may obviously be something on the map, the characters need to see it.
  1001. :)
  1002. Michael D.: lol sorry
  1003. George B.: awwww
  1004. Tracy G.: Gotcha. Thanks
1005. Hunter E. (GM): Also, are you suuure you want to see in the windows?
1006. Michael D.: I thought bio was star wars for bathroom break
1007. Hunter E. (GM): If you can see in the windows, then it stands to reason whatever's inside can probably see outside... :)
1008. Tracy G.: and it's one search permap or one search per room?
1009. Hunter E. (GM): Also yes, bio = bathroom break, but it's more of an MMO thing
  1010. Fable Creel: MMO, yup
1011. Tracy G.: crap. I forgot to do ooc
1012. George B.: hmm ... if I see in the windows, then they will see me seeing in ... so ... nah
1013. Hunter E. (GM): Each player can take an opportunity to search an area
  1014. Tracy G.: OK
1015. Hunter E. (GM): But you're all looking for the same thing
1016. Fable Creel: Ok, let's see if there's any door anywhere we can access.
1017. Hunter E. (GM): So you can take turns looking for it
1018. Oksara already failed a roll
  1019. Tracy G.: SUCCESSSSS
  1020. Fable Creel: oh wait.
  1021. I forgot the purples
  1022. George B.: haha
1023. Hunter E. (GM): Fable joins Oksara and enjoys the binary suns-set, but covers her eyes by turning away. As she turns away, she notices a door in the building.
1024. Tracy G.: NM the success. lmao
  1025. Hunter E. (GM) rewinds wicky-wicky-wicky
1026. Hunter E. (GM): Fable joins Oksara in enjoying the binary suns-set, but has the sense enough to cover her eyes with her hands.
1027. Tracy G.: well, that's at least something. xD
1028. Hunter E. (GM): Such a pretty sight.
1029. 41-VEX: feeble, rods-and-cones dependent beings. Allow me to do an optical scan
1030. Hunter E. (GM): This should be good.
1031. Tracy G.: well, what's the threat? lol
1032. Hunter E. (GM): Vex sees a door, but the glint of the binary suns-set overheats his optics slightly. Take one strain of damage.
  1033. Fable Creel: lol
1034. Hunter E. (GM): *the glint on the door
1035. George B.: I suppose I was asking for that
1036. Hunter E. (GM): With only 1g for a perception roll, a tad lol
1037. Tracy G.: Do we regain strain again when we change maps?
  1038. or only one time?
1039. Hunter E. (GM): Nope, only after combat.
  1040. Tracy G.: Gotcha
1041. 41-VEX: There is an aperture. Follow me
1042. Hunter E. (GM): The door is locked.
  1043. 41-VEX: oof
  1044. Oksara followed Vex
1045. Hunter E. (GM): Imperials boosted their security a tad since that unfortunate incident at 0BY
1046. Fable Creel: Aperture, indeed. Got lock-picking abilities?
1047. Hunter E. (GM): You see that the door is locked with a keypad console. Someone might be able to slice into it.
1048. 41-VEX: Lock-picking? I am the greatest mechanic (looks at R5) -- second greatest mechanic on this planet. I'll be in in no time
  1049. R5 Droid bweeps
1050. Fable Creel chuckles and crosses her arms, waiting.
1051. Hunter E. (GM): Computers check
  1052. Oksara awaits with aspirement
1053. Oksara gives a thumb up
  1054. Hunter E. (GM): lol
  1055. 41-VEX: bo boop
1056. Hunter E. (GM): Vex fails to slice the console, but manages to cut off the security wire. Should someone else attempt this, they would have a boost.
1057. Oksara: ok, I'm good with this kind of electricky thicky wires
1058. 41-VEX: There. I loosened it for you. (Think like a mayonnaise jar .. )
1059. Hunter E. (GM): Computers check with 1 blue
1060. Oksara taking deep breath and approach to the wires
1061. Michael D.: I have rank 1 in that computer skill
  1062. that mean blue?
1063. Hunter E. (GM): No, the blue is a boost
1064. VEX failed, but he helped the next person
1065. You have 1g1y for computers
1066. so you would roll 1g1y1blue2p
  1067. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE 268: "encourage participation", initiated.
1068. Michael D.: rank doesnt affect the roll?
  1069. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
1070. I was going to save this tidbit for after character creation
1071. But if you were wondering how to determine which dice to use
1072. Your skills are all related to a characteristic
1073. For example, Computers is related to Int.
1074. You also have ranks in computers
  1075. Tracy G.: yeah
1076. Hunter E. (GM): The higher of the number, Characteristic vs Rank
1077. That's how many green dice you start with
1078. And the lower of the two numbers, Characteristic vs Rank
1079. indicates how many greens you swap out with yellows
1080. 41-VEX: my intellect is astronomical. And I say that even under the constraints of my "humility" module
1081. Hunter E. (GM): So, Oskara, you have 2 INT and 1 rank in Computers
1082. Meaning you start with 2 green dice
1083. and swap out one green dice for 1 yellow dice
  1084. Michael D.: crystal clear
1085. Hunter E. (GM): the portfolio graphic makes it handier to see which dice you roll so you don't have to calculate it each time :)
1086. Aaaand Oskara failed her roll too
  1087. Buuuut
1088. Michael D.: I'm definetly redoing my character creation :)
1089. Hunter E. (GM): She did eliminate one subroutine, making slicing easier. Next person to attempt gets TWO boost dice.
  1090. Tracy G.: So that'd be me
  1091. Fable Creel sighs
1092. George B.: definitely got that mayo jar loosened for ya
1093. Hunter E. (GM): Yeah, that's why I was thinking putting points in three characteristics might've been a bit much lol
1094. Fable Creel: Guess it's now up to me to try this thing, eh?
1095. Hunter E. (GM): computers check with 2 blue dice :)
  1096. Tracy G.: 2 blue? so it'd be 2g/2y/2p?
1097. Hunter E. (GM): Your computers is 2g
  1098. 2g/2blue/2p
  1099. Tracy G.: woot
1100. Hunter E. (GM): The door unlocks and silently slides open!
1101. George B.: good thing you got that, R5 was feeling the pressure
1102. Hunter E. (GM): R5 wouldn't have done squat lol, he's only good for repairs.
  1103. Tracy G.: lmao
1104. Oksara: me's shoulder release in ease
  1105. George B.: :)
1106. Fable Creel: Phew, here we go. Let's go in. Hopefully there's no one in there.
1107. Fable Creel silently enters the door.
1108. Hunter E. (GM): Entering before looking
1109. I, too, like to live dangerously.
  1110. Tracy G.: lol, indeed
1111. 41-VEX whistles softly to self
1112. Hunter E. (GM): Fortunately, for you, there is no one in this room.
1113. Oksara: check the next room before entering
1114. 41-VEX: C'mon, Fiver. Really now, try to keep up
1115. Hunter E. (GM): You crack the door slightly open so you can hear.
1116. You see a large chamber crowded with computer equipment and centered around a large holo display showing a plot of the local aerospace. Standing in front of the display with her arms folded behind her back is a human woman. She appears to be in charge and, as you watch, she speaks into a headset in a formal commanding tone. "Imperial shuttle Lambda-11238, this is OVERSEER BRYNN with spaceport control. You are cleared for landing. Welcome to Mos Shuuta." A half-dozen technicians of different species work at consoles and two security droids stand near the doorway. Your attention is pulled to the floor-to-ceiling transparisteel windows against the far wall, looking out over the desert of Tatooine, where an imperial shuttle is coming in for a landing.
  1117. 41-VEX: Oh, bolts!
  1118. Hunter E. (GM): lol
1119. Oksara: Madame, we are the escort contractors the empire requested (use deceit). We are here at your service
1120. Hunter E. (GM): You talk to a door.
1121. The door does not respond.
  1122. Tracy G.: LMAO
  1123. Oksara: me/ facepalm
  1124. Oksara facepalm
1125. Fable Creel stares at Oksara trying to talk to the door.
1126. Fable Creel: Er, are you OK?
1127. 41-VEX: Good practice. May I suggest more aggression in your tone?
1128. Hunter E. (GM): It was a riveting practice speech.
1129. Also keep in mind, you are not dressed as imperials.
1130. Oksara decide to be silent for the rest of the game
  1131. 41-VEX lolz
1132. Hunter E. (GM): lol, nooo. This is part of role playing :)
1133. It's very picky and anal
  1134. Michael D.: lol, she's a shy character
  1135. Tracy G.: xD
1136. Michael D.: give her a chance to break out
1137. George B.: ok, so it was really, really fortunate that you said that to the door, rather than to them, when not in Imperial costume
1138. Hunter E. (GM): It gave the party something to think about.
  1139. Oksara: so true
1140. Hunter E. (GM): You do, however, notice the employees are not dressed in regular imperial attire.
1141. They seem to be locally sourced.
1142. Oksara: we can pretend to be contractors
1143. Hunter E. (GM): The unfortunate incident was a pricey setback to the Empire
1144. Oksara: how do we want to do this
  1145. Hunter E. (GM): How, indeed? :)
1146. Oksara: blend in with those crowd?
1147. Fable Creel: Hrm. Yeah. You go first,....uhm, let 's see...is there anything in here we could use to pretend we're contractors?
1148. 41-VEX: I'm afraid I'm going to need to be involved, if we're to hack into the computers
1149. Hunter E. (GM): You look around the room and see filing cabinets.
1150. Oksara: I can't read, so will either of you check it out?
1151. 41-VEX: Hang on ... I'm an unrecognizeable droid. To them I'm just like a fax machine, they won't even notice me.
1152. Hunter E. (GM): That is a good point. The caveat of that is... they also don't know who you are.
1153. Fable Creel: That's very ture, but we might need to have a live body with you to make it look legit, maybe?
1154. 41-VEX: I could give it a shot. Just go right out there and do what was needed? I don't know, I'm more worried that you would be recognized than they would question me
1155. Fable Creel: You do have a point. Give it a try. We'll hang back, right, Oksara?
  1156. Oksara nod with dignity
1157. 41-VEX: Now, just what was it we needed to accomplish, again? Get the clamps off the ship, and ...? Get the launch cleared?
  1158. Hunter E. (GM): Correct
1159. Fable Creel: Yes. Clear it for the takeoff, and get the clamps off. DO you remember the name of the ship?
1160. 41-VEX: And do we know if those are both the sorts of things that can be programmed in to the system?
1161. Hunter E. (GM): Yes, you could use a console, providing you had permission.
1162. 41-VEX: Yes, I do. the KRAYT FANG
  1163. Hunter E. (GM): :)
  1164. Gold star for attention
1165. Fable Creel: All right. Good luck!
  1166. Oksara bows with honor
1167. 41-VEX straightens up, then walk through the door with somewhat exaggerated, smooth and slow robot movements
1168. Hunter E. (GM): The technicians glance at you and go back to working at their consoles.
1169. 41-VEX: arriving at an unmanned console, I intone in a a buzzing monotone "OPERATOR-5234-REPAIR-DROID, SYSTEMS-CHECK, ROUTINE-MAINTANENCE-SUBROUTINE 243 INITIATED." this is done just loud enough for a few of those near me to overhear, and spoken in as slow and boring a way as possible
1170. Cyborg Male: We had maintenance scheduled for today?
1171. I thought Maintenance checks were for Tuesday mornings?
  1172. 41-VEX: OPERATOR-5234-REPAIR-DROID, CONFIRMS-NEW-SCHEDULE-MAINTENANCE, SYSTEMS-CHECK, SUBROUTINE 243 INITIATED, PLEASE STAND CLEAR"
1173. Cyborg Male: Uh... wonder if the Overseer knows about this...
1174. George B.: dammit I can't type with caps lock
  1175. too slow
  1176. Hunter E. (GM): lol
1177. need me to back up a bit?
1178. 41-VEX: yes, before he walks off I need to respond to him
1179. Cyborg Male: You got it
  1180. George B.: thanks
1181. Hunter E. (GM): Meanwhile, the others in the side room could probably be looking for something to help
1182. 41-VEX: OPERATOR-5234-REPAIR-DROID CONFIRMS OVERSEER KNOWLEDGE, SPECIAL MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE APPROVED BY OVERSEER, SUBROUTINE 243 INITIATED, PLEASE STAND CLEAR"
1183. Fable Creel glances around, wondering what she could use to help with whatever is going on in the other room.
1184. Cyborg Male: Well... alright, I guess. I'm not one to question authority, especially Imperial authority.
1185. Hunter E. (GM): Perception check
1186. George B.: me perception or other room people?
1187. Cyborg Male: Other room people
1188. Hunter E. (GM): *other room people
  1189. Michael D.: lol!
  1190. Tracy G.: boom
1191. Hunter E. (GM): Fable finds a padd with a login password.
1192. Even in a galaxy far far away, people are still leaving their passwords lying around.
  1193. George B.: hahahaa! Is it "welcome1234"?
  1194. Michael D.: lol @hunter
1195. Fable Creel: Score. (over commlink) Hey. I found a password for the login. It's....let me look again
1196. Hunter E. (GM): Even better, it's "password"
1197. Fable Creel: password. How stupid are those people?
  1198. George B.: lol!
1199. 41-VEX: well, it does need to be used by Gamoreans, so ... yeah
  1200. Tracy G.: lmao!
1201. 41-VEX: password acknowledged. accessing computer system now
1202. Hunter E. (GM): The options that show up are:
  1203. 1. Docking clamps
  1204. 2. Clearance for landing
  1205. 3. Clearance for launches
1206. \\NOTE\\ - DOCKING CLAMPS WILL BE MONITORED FOR SAFETY PURPOSES
1207. Fable Creel sits at a table in the side room waiting
  1208. George B.: No "live operator" ?? I press 00 ...
1209. Hunter E. (GM): It is a comfortable chair.
  1210. COMMAND UNRECOGNIZED
  1211. 41-VEX: I press 3
1212. Hunter E. (GM): Options are:
  1213. 1. Landing bay Aurek
  1214. 2. Landing bay Besh
1215. Oksara is already in deep mediation
1216. Hunter E. (GM): 3. Landing bay Cresh
  1217. 41-VEX: I press 1
1218. Hunter E. (GM): Options are:
1219. \\NOTE\\ KRAYT FANG IS DOCKED HERE PRESENTLY
1220. CONFIRM WITH OVERSEER OVERRIDE TO CLEAR FOR LAUNCH
1221. and there is an option for a username/password
1222. 41-VEX: via comlink: (I describe everything I've seen so far)
1223. Fable Creel: via commlink: Hrm. So we need to figure out how to override it without the overseer noticing?
1224. 41-VEX: via comlink: should I try username : OVERSEER BRYNN and password: PASSWORD ?
1225. Fable Creel: via commlink: Hrm. I don't think that'd work. Let me search around here and see if I can find anything related tot he overseer.
  1226. 41-VEX: via comlink: ok
1227. Hunter E. (GM): Fable looks around and still sees a filing cabinet.
1228. Fable Creel: I wonder if those are locked....
1229. Hunter E. (GM): They are locked.
1230. But it seems like a simple lock.
1231. Fable Creel: (lockpicking is....which skill?)
  1232. Hunter E. (GM): Skulduggery
  1233. 1p
  1234. Tracy G.: three bangs.
1235. Hunter E. (GM): Fable unlocks the filing cabinet
1236. Fable Creel opesn the top drawer and looks through the drawer.
1237. Hunter E. (GM): Fable sees some files labeled Employees and some files labeled Administration
  1238. Fable Creel: Hmmm.
1239. Fable Creel opens the files labeled administration
1240. Hunter E. (GM): Fable sees a list of Overseers
1241. Overseer Archan, Overseer Brynn, Overseer Cregg, Overseer Fanton
1242. Fable Creel: via commlink: Hrm. Which overseer is in that room, Vex?
  1243. 41-VEX: via commlink: BRYNN
  1244. Fable Creel: Thanks. Sec.
1245. Fable Creel looks through the files looking for folders related to Brynn.
  1246. Cyborg Male: So uh
  1247. How's that maintenance going?
1248. Hunter E. (GM): Fable sees a list of personal information about Brynn that was collected from her interview
  1249. 41-VEX: ROUTINE-MAINTENANCE-IS-PROCEEDING-ACCORDING-TO-ROUTINE NOW-INITIATING-SUBROUTINE-254-OF-385. PLEASE-STAND-CLEAR.
1250. Tracy G.: can I hear the male over the commlink?
1251. Hunter E. (GM): Brynn has no family to speak of, but has a Kowakian monkey-lizard named Izzo
1252. Only if the comlink is active
1253. Cyborg Male: I see, I see, cool.
1254. Hey, working hard or hardly working, right? Ha.
  1255. 41-VEX: MAINTENANCE-DROID-DIRECTIVE-236:"PROMOTE PRO-SOCIAL VALUES". HARDLY-WORKING. HA. HA.
1256. Michael D.: This is better than watching tv, LOL
1257. Tracy G.: lol! There you are :D
  1258. Cyborg Male: Yeah, alright.
1259. Cyborg Male gives VEX the finger blasters
1260. Cyborg Male goes back to work
  1261. Tracy G.: LOL
1262. Fable Creel: via commlink: Hey, I think I may have found something.
  1263. George B.: hahaha!
1264. 41-VEX: via commlink: good, we don't have much time
1265. Fable Creel: via commlink: Brynn has no family but has a pet thing named Izzo. Try that as a password.
1266. 41-VEX: enters username: BRYNN password: IZZO
  1267. Cyborg Male: CLEARANCE AUTHORIZED
  1268. oop
  1269. Tracy G.: lol
1270. Hunter E. (GM): The computer says CLEARANCE AUTHORIZED
1271. Not out loud, just in aurebesh text on the screen
1272. 41-VEX: ok good. I will authorize the launch of the K.F.
1273. Hunter E. (GM): The Krayt Fang is now authorized to launch.
1274. 41-VEX: I quickly go back to the root menu and go to option 1 which was the clamps
1275. Hunter E. (GM): \\NOTE\\ - CLAMPS WILL BE MONITORED FOR DAMAGE CONTROL
1276. 41-VEX: via commlink: this is the part with the clamps. they will be monitoring it for security purposes, so ... should I proceed?
1277. Hunter E. (GM): CHOOSE MONITOR TO DISPLAY
1278. Fable Creel: via commlink: Hrm. I wonder if we can create distraction while you unlock 'em.
1279. 41-VEX: via commlink: that is a good thought, but risky
1280. Fable Creel: via commlink: Indeed. Let me see what I can do about distraction...oh, maybe R-5 can do something outside with security droids?
  1281. R5 Droid re-locks the filing cabinet.
  1282. R5 Droid: R5-BEST-REPAIRS-IN-MOS-SHUUTA
  1283. Oksara grins at R5
1284. Hunter E. (GM): Don't forget about the other droids inside as well as Brynn
1285. VEX can see that the technicians are unarmed
1286. George B.: when it says "choose monitor", what are my choices?
1287. Hunter E. (GM): LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT
1288. All of which just so happen to be right in front of Overseer Brynn
  1289. George B.: ah, crap
1290. Tracy G.: can we use the R5 to distract Brynn and technicans?
1291. George B.: I don't think R5 is all that sophisticated, you know?
1292. Tracy G.: True. I can't do searching again 'cause I did that already right?
1293. Hunter E. (GM): You've seen all you can see, but you could always re-examine what you've seen.
1294. Fable Creel sighs at R5 since he's re-locked the cabinet, and thinks.
1295. Fable Creel: via commlink: Let me see if I can find something outside to distract them with.
1296. 41-VEX: via commlink: start a fire in that room?
1297. Oksara: that sound right up to my alley
1298. Fable Creel: via commlink: That could work but R5 relocked the cabinet s I can't get any more papers out.
1299. Hunter E. (GM): You still have the admin files
1300. 41-VEX: via commlink: are there any obvious fire extinguishers spigots on the ceiling, etc.?
1301. Hunter E. (GM): With imperial budgets after the incident? No way.
  1302. 41-VEX: :)
  1303. Michael D.: lol
  1304. Tracy G.: lol
1305. 41-VEX: via commlink: start a fire and get out of there. I'll meet you after, down the street
1306. Fable Creel: Found more paper. Oksara, can you start the fire? I'll get R5 with me and we'll all meet you down the street
1307. Oksara: I realize I dont have anything to burn with
1308. Hunter E. (GM): How do you plan on starting the fire?
  1309. lol
1310. Fable Creel: Don't we have blasters?
1311. Hunter E. (GM): Loud blasters, yes.
1312. Oksara: not without making noise
1313. Hunter E. (GM): If only you had something that had welding capabilities
  1314. Fable Creel: Hrm. R5!
1315. Oksara: wait, can I dismantle the gun and use the enrgy souce to staart a fire?
1316. Hunter E. (GM): then you would not have a gun anymore lol
1317. Oksara: I still have my two fists
1318. George B.: yeah, I like it that you have a gun
1319. Fable Creel: R5, do you have the capicaity to start a fire with your welding stuff?
1320. Hunter E. (GM): It's a very nice gun, does the most damage out of everyone's here lol
  1321. R5 Droid: R5-REPAIR-NOW?
1322. Oksara: R5 can you weld?
1323. Fable Creel: Well, starting a fire would help repair the ship we ned to get off the planet. Would you be able to help?
  1324. R5 Droid: ARC-OR-TIG
  1325. THE-ANSWER-IS-YES
1326. Oksara: well, flame on, fiver!
  1327. R5 Droid: R5-REPAIR-PAPER
  1328. Oksara looking at Fable
1329. Fable Creel nods at Oksara
1330. R5 Droid whips out a welding tool and flashes out a flame
1331. Fable Creel: We should get out now. Come on, R5, once the fire's started!
1332. 41-VEX I am ready to bring up the left screen as soon as there is a distraction (to the right)
  1333. Oksara running after Fable
1334. Hunter E. (GM): The fire has started
1335. 41-VEX: via commlink: do not leave R5 alone!
1336. Fable Creel is holding the door open for R5
1337. Hunter E. (GM): Alarms go off in the building.
1338. Fable Creel: via commlink: Not leaving him behind. Come on, R5! we need to go now!
1339. Hunter E. (GM): (If you guys leave, R5 will follow)
1340. 41-VEX: I bring up the screen to the left, as soon as attention is diverted to the right
  1341. Hunter E. (GM): uh
1342. We'll Bob Ross this and say that was a happy accident
1343. George B.: lol! slip of the mouse
  1344. Tracy G.: lmao!
  1345. Overseer Brynn: Ugh, great.
  1346. Stupid street gangs again.
1347. I swear, I keep telling the local Moff to give us better security.
1348. Alright, everyone, you know the drill. Nice and orderly out the front
1349. 41-VEX: as they go, I bring up the screen to the left
1350. Tracy G.: can we go off the map too?
1351. Hunter E. (GM): No, you're still in the area.
1352. The screen is brought up for monitoring purposes
  1353. Fable Creel: ok
1354. Hunter E. (GM): The fire grows.
  1355. 41-VEX: good thing I'm a mechanical. smoke isn't an issue.
1356. I'll deactivate the clamps on the K.F.
1357. Hunter E. (GM): You deactivate the clamps
  1358. Oksara jumped with joy
1359. Hunter E. (GM): You don't know he deactivated the clamps yet. ;)
1360. 41-VEX: excellent. I log out after deleting my presence there, and leave
1361. Hunter E. (GM): How do you plan to leave?
  1362. 41-VEX: out the front
  1363. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
1364. Oksara: let meet up front
  1365. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
1366. Remember which landing bay you need to go to next?
  1367. Fable Creel: Az-soething
1368. Tracy G.: that was meant to be OOC
  1369. Oksara: Azul?
1370. 41-VEX: Sometimes our brilliance astonishes me
  1371. Hunter E. (GM): haha
1372. Hint: It follows the Star Wars alphabetic system
  1373. 41-VEX: one sec
1374. Oksara is admiring the beautiful fire blazing
  1375. 41-VEX: landing bay aurek
1376. Hunter E. (GM): ding ding ding
1377. Suddenly, the crowds thronging the streets of the settlement part and you see a chilling sight, three soldiers in the white armor of the empire's elite - Stormtroopers! As you see them, you realize the lead trooper is pointing right at you. You hear his voice break through the crowd, sounding mechanical through his armor's speakers. "There they are," the stormtrooper says, "Get them!" As you turn to escape, you see a second group of three stormtroopers approaching down a side street. This could get tricky.
  1378. Fable Creel: Well, damn.
  1379. 41-VEX: eep
1380. Hunter E. (GM): At this point, I would advise
1381. Oksara: Check for a way up
  1382. Hunter E. (GM): RUN
  1383. Running is an option
1384. Fable Creel: Run!!!! We need to get our butts to Aurek!
1385. 41-VEX: RUN in the general direction of Aurek
1386. Fable Creel begins to run towards the landing bay
1387. Oksara feeled disappointed and join the party running away
  1388. Hunter E. (GM): Wise :)
1389. Okay, at this point, everyone gets 15 xp
  1390. Tracy G.: yay!
1391. Hunter E. (GM): Adventure isn't over yet, but this is a small interlude
  1392. Michael D.: that's cool!
  1393. 41-VEX: wow, seems good
1394. George B.: wow, seems good
1395. Tracy G.: This was fun!
1396. Hunter E. (GM): Oh, we're not done!
1397. This is just an intermission before the final sequence :)
1398. But if we need to call it a night, we can.
1399. Tracy G.: I may need to call it a night. I gotta drive the BF to work
1400. Michael D.: we should do it agian soon
1401. Hunter E. (GM): There is only one more scenario ahead, but it can wait. :)
1402. Tracy G.: How long would the scenario be?
1403. Michael D.: how long is it?
1404. 41-VEX: Like one more encounter? Yes, how long?
1405. Hunter E. (GM): Entirely depends on you
1406. But it would be a boss fight if things go sideways (which they usually do)
1407. Tracy G.: ah, so it might take longer.
1408. Hunter E. (GM): Likely, yes lol
1409. Michael D.: yes, i really get the gist of this game experience
  1410. Tracy G.: Yeah. it's quite fun.
1411. Michael D.: I have better insight of what I want to do with my character creatio
1412. George B.: It is really cool! Thanks so much guys
1413. Tracy G.: I might see if the BF would be up for it in the next run.
1414. Hunter E. (GM): I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. :) Please, feel free to share your feedback anytime!
  1415. Tracy G.: Same here! :)
  1416. Thanks for hosting it!
1417. Hunter E. (GM): Do convince your boyfriend to join, a wookiee might be fun to have on the team ;)
  1418. 41-VEX: :)
1419. Hunter E. (GM): Should we go ahead and discuss a next time? Or can do that on facebook chat whenever we can?
1420. Tracy G.: FB chat. Next weekend will be bad, sadly.
  1421. Graduation weekend!
1422. Hunter E. (GM): We might be able to knock this out on a weeknight if possible.
1423. then again, not sure about the time zone conflicts
1424. Michael D.: I do have feedback, I would encourage players to not split up group on tutorial mission
  1425. Hunter E. (GM): ^^^^^^
  1426. lol
  1427. Michael D.: my bad
  1428. Tracy G.: xDDD
1429. George B.: true, one more encounter could be a weeknight sort of thing
1430. Michael D.: i mean having two different scenario running at same time
1431. Hunter E. (GM): No worries! It just makes the GM work overtime, I enjoy the challenge!
1432. I can be available at 7pm EST this week
1433. Michael D.: You did great job, but I get mixed up with the story with two things are happening at same time
1434. George B.: I think you did great job as GM! Very enjoyable
  1435. Hunter E. (GM): (6:00 Austin and 4pm CA)
  1436. Thank you, I try. :)
1437. In person, I would just have a side conversation to prevent character knowledge from leaking over lol
1438. Michael D.: I love the humor of this group, great dynamic
1439. Tracy G.: I wonder if we could have side conversations as well.
  1440. Like need-to-know info.
1441. Hunter E. (GM): I try to encourage characters sharing knowledge, which you guys picked up on real quick at Vorn's shop and especially at the spaceport!
1442. George B.: we can, just type "/w"
1443. Tracy G.: Whispers can be heard, etc.
1444. Hunter E. (GM): I was wondering how you did that lol
1445. George whispered me once during the Gamorrean fight
  1446. Michael D.: ahh cool!
  1447. Tracy G.: oh, nice.
  1448. woot.
1449. 41-VEX: to chat with GM only, use "/w gm [message]"
1450. to chat with other person privately, use "/w [name] [message]"
1451. Hunter E. (GM): Lol, it works if I do it to myself
  1452. George B.: lol
1453. (To Fable Creel): creel test
1454. Michael D.: thank you so much for your time, Hunter. Maybe we can schedule one in middle of june?
  1455. (To Oksara): test
  1456. Tracy G.: That could work. :)
  1457. Hunter E. (GM): Sure!
1458. I have a few other adventure books here.
1459. Michael D.: I dont mind give other book a shot
1460. Hunter E. (GM): As we get more comfortable with the system, we can probably join up with Christopher and Michael B
  1461. What we're doing is Part 1 of a two-part story
1462. The first part is the tutorial and the second part is when it gets longer and more detailed
1463. Tracy G.: Sounds good. It also gives us time to work on our character creation, as well
1464. Hunter E. (GM): That too!
1465. George B.: yes, that's true. I hope we can do before middle of June though!
1466. Tracy G.: Hopefully. I just know next weekend will not be good sicne I'm graduating.
1467. George B.: anyway yes we can set it up on FB through chat this week. I'd say a great success (and maybe a triumph) so far
1468. Tracy G.: but after that I"m free till uhm, first weekend of June. :D
1469. Hunter E. (GM): Like I said, one encounter will not take that long, if you consider we did about three-four encounters tonight
  1470. Tracy G.: Nice.
1471. Michael D.: aye, is D&D similar to this protocol?
  1472. Hunter E. (GM): Hmmm
1473. With the roleplaying, sure, but the dice are definitely different.
1474. George B.: it will be super interesting to see how our story compares to Christopher and Michael's stories, too, when we are all done
1475. Hunter E. (GM): In fact, roll20 chat has a built in dice roller for DnD
  1476. rolling 268
  1477. 268
  1478. = 268
  1479. woop
  1480. rolling 2d8
  1481. (
  1482. 7
  1483. +
  1484. 1
  1485. )
  1486. = 8
  1487. Tracy G.: lol
1488. Hunter E. (GM): They are completely different, I'll tell you that much now.
1489. Michael D.: wow that cool
1490. Hunter E. (GM): The only thing remotely similar is the gamorrean fight lol
1491. George B.: yeah it will be fun to compare
1492. Michael D.: yes, im also curious about the other rpg books.... one in particular is Tales from the Loops
1493. have you have of this?
1494. Hunter E. (GM): Never heard of it.
1495. But if you want to spearhead it, I'll gladly play :)
  1496. Michael D.: Alternative 80's timeline
1497. Hunter E. (GM): The only other RPG i'd like to try is Genesys
1498. which is also another FFG system that uses the exact same dice protocol, but is far more open world
  1499. Michael D.: sweet!
1500. Hunter E. (GM): 80's is making a good comeback lately
1501. Tracy G.: I'd actually like to try out VTM, or something from that company.
1502. George B.: yes, stranger things is an example
1503. Hunter E. (GM): My girlfriend is Brazilian and she heard synthpop for the first time thanks to Stranger Things lol
  1504. Tracy G.: xD
  1505. 41-VEX: :)
  1506. Michael D.: ahh, interesting
1507. you guys are great, have a sweet starry warry night, y'all
1508. Hunter E. (GM): You as well!
1509. George B.: same to all! Thanks again and GN!
1510. Hunter E. (GM): Watch out for the Revenge of the Sixth tonight
  1511. Michael D. give a thumb up
  1512. Hunter E. (GM): Nighty!
  1513. George B.: hahaha
  1514. Tracy G.: Sounds awesome! GN, y'all!
  1515. George B.: GN!
  1516. Tracy G.: Yo, y'all
1517. looking for my character sheet
1518. Hunter E. (GM): Just you and me for now
  1519. :)
  1520. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12_I4nXKNrhJvajHdPx53UuJ9dFE2fcex
  1521. Tracy G.: I found my sheet
  1522. George B.: Greetings
1523. Hunter E. (GM): Good Day
1524. Tracy G.: Give me a sec, I probably need to restart for video
1525. back. Are y'all able to see me?
1526. Hunter E. (GM): I'm not even trying that
  1527. lol
1528. not for 30 minutes of session time :)
  1529. Tracy G.: lol
1530. Michael D.: me either lol
1531. George B.: Negative on visuals. (But, yes -- let's not worry about it this time) :)
1532. Tracy G.: Ok, turned it off
1533. I may need a refresher on what my current stats are, like wounds, strain, etc.
1534. Hunter E. (GM): Double click on your icon
  1535. it should tell you
1536. right now your wounds are at full and you are only missing one strain
  1537. Michael D.: nice!
  1538. Tracy G.: Sweet
1539. Hunter E. (GM): Okay, let me pull out my papers then we'll be good to go
  1540. Just to recap
1541. You started off escaping Teemo's palace being chased by guards
1542. You defeated the guards in the cantina
  1543. George B.: piggos
1544. Hunter E. (GM): The bartender pointed you in the direction of Vorn, the Junkyard dealer
  1545. lol
1546. Where you went and tied up a poor old man and stole his HMRI
1547. George B.: well, when you put it like that ...
1548. Hunter E. (GM): That he was holding for Trex, the Trandoshan Bounty Hunter who needed it to make his freighter ship flyable
1549. Then you went to the spaceport
  1550. and started a fire
1551. Michael D.: did anyone bring smore?
  1552. George B.: a diversion. we started a diversion
1553. Hunter E. (GM): Just to distract the workers so VEX could unclamp the Krayt Fang and clear it for launch
  1554. George B.: lol Michael
1555. Hunter E. (GM): On your way out, you ran into Stormtroopers
1556. and decided to shake their tail
1557. And now you find yourselves in front of Landing Bay Aurek
  1558. Did I forget anything?
1559. Oh, wait, right, you guys also convinced an R5 droid to join you
  1560. lol
1561. Michael D.: How can Vex unclamp the ship?
  1562. yes
1563. George B.: already done! did it at the spaceport
1564. Hunter E. (GM): Unclamping the ship would've created a notification that the Overseer would've seen
1565. hence why a fi- a diversion was needed.
  1566. George B.: hahaha
1567. Michael D.: so we need to sneck in the ship?
1568. Hunter E. (GM): That is correct
  1569. Sneaking optional
1570. George B.: with Fivers, who has the HRMI
1571. Michael D.: ok, I ask the group if they want to sneak together in group or spread out?
1572. Hunter E. (GM): Don't get ahead of yourselves now
  1573. :)
1574. This is only the recap
  1575. Michael D.: oh
1576. George B.: Oooh! I know this one. NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY ... lol
  1577. Hunter E. (GM): ^^^^^^^^^^^
1578. Just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page
  1579. Michael D.: aye captain
1580. Hunter E. (GM): Before we proceed, we do need to do one more thing
1581. Let me check my icons first
  1582. Okay, nvm, I thought I had some tokens but I don't
1583. not a big deal anyway
1584. Anyway, can we all jump over to SkyJedi for a moment?
1585. Michael D.: is that the dice website?
  1586. George B.: kk
  1587. Hunter E. (GM): Correct
1588. Yes, I have used destiny points to point the party in the right direction, but for the most part I try to keep them close to the rails
  1589. Tracy G.: Gotcha. lol
  1590. Hunter E. (GM): OKAY
  1591. We all here?
  1592. Michael D.: aye!
  1593. Tracy G.: yes
1594. Hunter E. (GM): Don't forget to switch your chat box to your characters!
  1595. Michael D. farted
  1596. Hunter E. (GM) laughs
1597. Tracy G.: Already did. I'm typing in OOC
  1598. Fable Creel sighs
  1599. 41-VEX: sigh
1600. Hunter E. (GM): Excellent remembering your chatbox commands!
1601. Oksara getting ready to kick ass
  1602. Tracy G.: bahahaha
1603. 41-VEX: (turns oil-colored about the face, the robotic equivalent of blushing)
1604. Hunter E. (GM): A large pourstone hangar looms before you, an enormous letter aurek stenciled onto the building's side. As you approach, you can see through the open hangar doors to the cavernous interior, where a rusty-looking freighter rests with its loading ramp deployed. All you have to do is get to that ship and you can leave Tatooine!
1605. Two equally-rusty security droids stand outside the entrance. If you want that ship, first you'll have to get by them.
1606. Oksara: how dangerous are those droid
1607. Fable Creel: I'm not sure. What do you think, Vex?
1608. Hunter E. (GM): They do have guns and seem to be placed to prevent entry.
1609. 41-VEX: The droids themselves are individually dangerous -- yes. But worse is when they shoot and half the city comes along
1610. Fable Creel: Do you think it's possible to distract the droids, or disable them without setting off the guns?
1611. 41-VEX: we have many more friends here than enemies
1612. Hunter E. (GM): That you can see.
1613. 41-VEX: no, the opposite of that
1614. I think my processors may have some residual fire damage!
1615. Oksara: Can I use stealth to approach the droid and hack in with my computer skill?
1616. Hunter E. (GM): The droids have already seen you and are keeping their optics on your party.
  1617. 41-VEX: everyone act natural
1618. Fable Creel: Let's pass by them and discuss later
  1619. Oksara froze
  1620. Fable Creel: Follwo me?
1621. Hunter E. (GM): How do you plan to pass them?
1622. They would see you if you commit to that plan.
1623. Tracy G.: Not going in, pass by the entrance as if we're walking down the street
1624. Oksara: can we search the perimeter for other opening?
1625. Hunter E. (GM): The way token placement works on roll20 is a bit funky, so I can't really get them exactly where I want them to be, but they are literally standing in the doorway.
1626. Oksara: i see those map now
1627. 41-VEX: They are in the doorway of the hangar, or of the ship?
1628. Oksara: right in frong of us
1629. 41-VEX: oh I see them now too
1630. Hunter E. (GM): You see a solid arch with two droids in it. No getting around them easily.
1631. Oksara: Can we use 5er to hack in the driods?
  1632. 41-VEX: hey -- Fiver -- that's right!
1633. Fable Creel: Or maybe have R5 distract them if they want to?
  1634. R5 Droid approaches a security droid
1635. 41-VEX: He has the HRMI. We can say we are making a delivery
1636. Security Droid arms itself and stands in a battle-ready position
  1637. Oksara: brilliant! Vex!
1638. Security Droid: What is your purpose.
  1639. Oksara at ease
1640. 41-VEX: Greetings, fellow droids. We are delivering a much wanted part here, for Trex
1641. Security Droid: What part is it.
1642. Fable Creel raises an eyebrow at the security droids.
1643. 41-VEX: contents of parts manifests are need to know basis only
1644. Security Droid: What part is it.
1645. Oksara: it's HRMI, oyu don't want our boss to be waiting for thsi part
1646. Security Droid: You may pass.
1647. Hunter E. (GM): You may move to this point.
  1648. Oksara poofed
1649. 41-VEX: contents of parts manifest -- er .. oh, okay. Well, thanks very much
1650. Hunter E. (GM): As you move past the security droids, you hear the droids chattering on their comms
1651. (you can't go in the ship. go to where your party is)
1652. You hear the droids telling someone that the HMRI is here to be installed.
1653. Fable Creel whispers to the group.
1654. Hunter E. (GM): As you approach the freighter, which you surmise to be the Krayt Fang, you see two more security droids.
1655. Fable Creel: We need to hurry and install it then get out of here. More's coming.
1656. 41-VEX: beep boop (uh oh)
  1657. Oksara: got mech skill?
1658. Hunter E. (GM): You see one droid disappear into the Krayt Fang through the boarding ramp
  1659. Tracy G.: Merchanics, right?
  1660. Hunter E. (GM): (correct)
1661. 41-VEX: Do droids reboot in the woods? 'Course Fivers and I have mech skill
1662. Hunter E. (GM): Momentarily, you see the security droid return
1663. But he is not alone
1664. Fable Creel: Ok, how do we get past the two to get on the boarding ramp?
1665. Hunter E. (GM): Behind the droid, you see a Trandoshan.
  1666. Oksara: Trex1
1667. 41-VEX: just the guy we didn't want to see
1668. Trex walks down the ramp, but stays on the ramp.
1669. Trex: So! You're the slags who are here to fix my ship!
1670. I recognize that pitiful little droid from the junkshop. Guess Vorn sent him over earlier than we agreed.
  1671. 41-VEX: SLAGS-? NO-WE-ARE-MECHS-HERE-TO-FIX-YOUR-SHIP
1672. Oksara: yes, Vex and Fiver have the equipment, may we come on your ship to insteall the HMRI?
1673. Trex: Ye-yeah, slags, mechs, whatever. Like I care.
  1674. Well
1675. I only know the droid, but I don't know the rest of you.
1676. The little droid, I mean.
1677. Oksara: we're it's secruity details. Too many jawa out there robotnapping all those fivers.
1678. where it go, we go
1679. Hunter E. (GM): Be warned:
  1680. 41-VEX: WE-ARE-A-CREW-HIRED-BY-VORN-TO-EXPEDITE-DELIVERY-AND-INSTALLATION-OF-HMRI
1681. Hunter E. (GM): Whomever decides to make up a story and go along with it will have to roll a deceit check.
1682. Michael D.: this is confusing
1683. how do we determine who turnn to speak?
1684. Hunter E. (GM): No determination, talk whenever you want :)
1685. Tracy G.: Can I make a roll for deceit if someone makes up the story and I add to it?
1686. Hunter E. (GM): but you guys might want to coordinate on a story to use.
  1687. You can.
1688. Michael D.: so I can roll for decit
1689. Tracy G.: I'll add to Vex's story and roll, if you're coll with htat, guys. I have 3 for deception, I thinkt hat's the one for decit?
  1690. Michael D.: with tracy's help?
1691. George B.: ok so I am terrible at deciet -- my robot voice doesn't handle the subtlety well
1692. Tracy G.: Cool, not coll
1693. Michael D.: i have a yellow and green for decit
  1694. Tracy G.: I have three greens
  1695. George B.: I have one green
1696. oh yeah, you are the man
1697. Hunter E. (GM): I would recommend the 3 greens.
  1698. Tracy G.: :) Ok, here I go
  1699. Trex: wait
  1700. lol
  1701. Hunter E. (GM): wait
  1702. Tracy G.: lol ok
  1703. Hunter E. (GM): that is 2p1r
  1704. 41-VEX: lol
1705. Tracy G.: Is that bad against 3 green?
  1706. George B.: seems bad
1707. Hunter E. (GM): generally you want to stay away from reds
  1708. George B.: 3 dice against 3 dice.
1709. Hunter E. (GM): It's 3 dice against 3 dice and one of them is upgraded
1710. Tracy G.: Hrm, OK. So it's a higher risk to try and lie?
1711. George B.: okay, we need to think of something really good for our story, so we get a bonus
1712. Hunter E. (GM): Everything about this scenario is high risk :) That's why it's at the end lol
1713. Oksara: I say go for it :)
1714. Tracy G.: Ok, so I was going to add to Vex's by sayin that we were the crew that was sent to ensure that the HMRI is installed properly, and to look over the ship to make sure everything is in good working condition?
1715. Is that too much of a stretch?
1716. George B.: tell him not only do we have the part, but we were sent by that gal from the spaceport (which is why he doesn't know us) and describe her to him as well. Or even say that we have the docking clamps off as part of the procedure
  1717. 41-VEX: BRYNN, wasn't it?
1718. Hunter E. (GM): It was
1719. George B.: but yes I like all the rest, it gets us all on board :)
1720. Tracy G.: So, like we were sent with fiver to make sure the hmri is installed correctly, and we were sent by brynn to make suer everything is right? Redhead lady at the control?
1721. Hunter E. (GM): If you believe he won't have a problem with that story, go for it. :)
1722. Tracy G.: OK, here I go. Wish me luck
1723. Fable Creel grins and nods at Vex's remarks.
1724. George B.: my circuits are crossed
1725. (To GM): i don't remember how to do the emoting (typing in orange)
  1726. Hunter E. (GM): with /me
1727. Fable Creel: That's correct, sir. We were sent with Fiver to make sure that the HMRI is installed correctly, and look over the ship to make sure everything looks great and in proper working condition. Brynn asked us to make sure everything was OK ship-wise since she noticed something was weird when the ship came in. Didn't say what exactly, just said to check it all over and make sure everything's OK.
1728. Trex: Fiver? What is that, a cute nickname for the junkbot?
  1729. 41-VEX: boop
1730. Fable Creel: Yep. You know me, I"m a lady, I like cute nicknames.
1731. Trex: Eh, alright, I can buy that story, but I hadn't heard from Brynn
  1732. 41-VEX grins disarmingly
1733. Trex: And you know how she is about punctuality...
1734. Flights in, flights out, aint nothing happen without her knowing about it or telling us about it.
1735. Fable Creel nods. "Indeed. She can be odd like that."
  1736. 41-VEX: INDEED. WE-MUST-INITIATE-REPAIRS-NOW. BRYNN-AWAITS
1737. Trex raises a scaley eyebrow
1738. Hunter E. (GM): (now would be the time to roll)
  1739. Tracy G.: 2p 1 r?
  1740. Hunter E. (GM): correct.
1741. Tracy G.: against 3 greens, Ok, wish me luck.
  1742. George B.: no bonus??
  1743. lol
1744. Tracy G.: Guess we didn't try hard enough. lol
  1745. George B.: it's the black spots
1746. Hunter E. (GM): Was not entirely convinced lol, Brynn's character is strict and everyone knows it.
1747. Or at least most would know it if there wasn't an evacuation lol
1748. Tracy G.: can I add one more detail?
1749. Hunter E. (GM): You may not lol.
1750. Tracy G.: Darnit lol, ok, here I go
1751. Hunter E. (GM): We stepping outside tutorial territory now.
  1752. 41-VEX: ouhm ...
  1753. Tracy G.: Threat, right?
1754. Hunter E. (GM): That is a failed roll with a threat, correct.
  1755. Tracy G.: Darnit.
1756. Trex: Yeah... yeah, I'm not buying it.
1757. Trex slowly pulls out his blaster while nodding at the nearby droids.
1758. Tracy G.: Check but dunno if she'd be able to answer now, there was a fire or something and they had to evaucate?
1759. Fable Creel: Does that sound OK?
1760. Tracy G.: (That was meant to be OOC)
1761. Oksara: How about shooting first and ask question later?
1762. Hunter E. (GM): I know, I'm happy you guys went the dialogue route first, but sometimes this happens lol
1763. 41-VEX: come on, Fiver! this way!
  1764. Tracy G.: lol yeah
1765. Hunter E. (GM): Trex is a Nemesis type boss, which means it's considerably harder to fool him.
1766. 41-VEX running beneath the ramp so that Trex has no angle to shoot
1767. Tracy G.: we have blasters right?
1768. Oksara: can fiver handle the repair on his own?
1769. Hunter E. (GM): before everyone moves
1770. we need to roll for initiative
1771. In this case, roll an unchecked Vigilance
  1772. Tracy G.: Vigilance?
  1773. That's willpaoer?
1774. Hunter E. (GM): You have 2 vigilance, according to your sheet
1775. Tracy G.: Yeah. So roll 2 green only?
1776. Hunter E. (GM): It uses the characteristic willpower, correct.
  1777. Yes, 2 greens.
1778. Okay, rolling for the others
  1779. Tracy G.: BRB RQ
  1780. George B.: forgot to add R5
1781. Hunter E. (GM): lol and what will R5 do? zap things?
  1782. Tracy G.: Back
1783. Hunter E. (GM): I don't really have him statted out, but if you absolutely want to risk using him, we can do that.
1784. George B.: run around and make bleep noises, to amuse the movie viewers
  1785. Hunter E. (GM): haha
1786. can do that without risking him in battle ;)
1787. George B.: no no, it's fine. He plays dead
1788. Tracy G.: lmao, distraction is funny
  1789. R5 Droid: R5-DIE
  1790. Oksara: lol at George
  1791. 41-VEX hahaha
  1792. Tracy G.: lmao
  1793. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
  1794. Trex is first
1795. The threat from the original roll is that he gets to ready his weapon early.
  1796. And now he fires
  1797. 41-VEX robotic scream
1798. Hunter E. (GM): Just for my sake
1799. Can you all tell me your soak values?
1800. And I'll put them above your characters so this can move faster lol
  1801. Tracy G.: 2
  1802. 41-VEX: 3
  1803. Oksara: 4
  1804. Hunter E. (GM): Okay
1805. Tracy G.: sheesh, I've got the least out of y'all
1806. Hunter E. (GM): Yeah, that'll happen when you roll a human fringer lol
1807. Tracy G.: lol yeah. I need better gear once I can get some stuff out
1808. Hunter E. (GM): okay, 5 damage to Fable
  1809. AND a critical injury
1810. that is an entirely separate roll
  1811. Tracy G.: Wah!
1812. Hunter E. (GM): pulling up another table
1813. Tracy G.: damage is on wound right?
1814. Hunter E. (GM): In general, it's almost never good when the GM has to pull out another table lol
  1815. Correct
  1816. Tracy G.: Guess I'm going bye-bye lol
1817. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE #002: "Save the HYUMANZ" initiated
1818. Hunter E. (GM): Okay, Fable lucked out
  1819. Tracy G.: Hrm?
1820. Hunter E. (GM): Your critical injury was a Discouraging Wound
  1821. Tracy G.: Discouraging wound?
1822. Hunter E. (GM): Which flips one light destiny side to a dark destiny side
1823. But since they're all already dark...
  1824. Oksara: wow
  1825. Tracy G.: Oh, gotcha
1826. Hunter E. (GM): However, you do still have the one critical injury
  1827. Tracy G.: Yeah..what's the injury?
1828. Hunter E. (GM): Discouraging Wound
  1829. lol
1830. It just counts as a crit injury until you heal it
1831. The effects are nonexistent to you
1832. This would be a good time to explain crits, I suppose
1833. Tracy G.: Aaah, OK, so just a major owie, gotcha
  1834. Hunter E. (GM): lol
1835. Trex hit Fable with a critical hit
1836. You'll notice that beside your weapons, a certain number of advantage points create a critical injury
1837. When a critical injury occurs, the GM rolls for it
1838. There is a table of crits in the core rulebook on the drive, page 217
  1839. What I do is I roll a D100
  1840. Hunter E. (GM): (100 sided dice)
1841. And whatever number comes up, I correlate it to the crit injury table
1842. In this case, a 30 was rolled for Fable, which aligns with the Discouraging Wound
1843. Now, unless they are healed, Critical Injuries stay
1844. and for each unhealed Crit Injury, you get a +10 to each future Crit Injury roll
1845. so right now, Fable will add 10 to the next crit injury rolled against her
1846. 41-VEX: do not worry, fragile flesh being, I shall repair you
1847. Hunter E. (GM): Meaning if she got a 30 again, it would actually be a 40
1848. which upgrades the severity of the results
1849. a second critical injury adds another 10 points to the roll
1850. and so on so on
1851. so heal them whenever you can (usually out of battle or in a bacta tank)
1852. Tracy G.: OK, so it can't be healed in battle
1853. Hunter E. (GM): Let me double check on that.
1854. 41-VEX removes scalpel attachment and replaces it again with blaster
  1855. Hunter E. (GM): Yes
  1856. Yes you can
1857. 41-VEX affixes scalpel once again
1858. Hunter E. (GM): that particular injury is an Easy check (1p)
1859. But it would take up a turn
1860. Tracy G.: man I don't want scalpels, I want heals, not more wounds! lol
1861. OK, so is Trex within view?
1862. Hunter E. (GM): He is on the boarding ramp, yes.
  1863. Tracy G.: OK
1864. 41-VEX maybe the scalpel is for Trex? Anyway, don't question your doctor
1865. Tracy G.: My turn to react and roll?
1866. Hunter E. (GM): Maneuver and action :)
1867. You are using the uh
1868. Tracy G.: OK. And react to the injury as well
1869. Hunter E. (GM): Blaster pistol
1870. which is a medium range weapon that is 1y2g
  1871. crit on 3 advantages
1872. Tracy G.: Yep. OK, so it's too far away to shoot at Trex?
1873. Hunter E. (GM): No, actually, you are just in range.
1874. Tracy G.: Oh, nice, OK.
  1875. Hunter E. (GM): 2p check
1876. Still need to maneuver to equip your weapon
1877. And of course, say whatever you want :)
  1878. Tracy G.: OK
1879. WOuld the droids be easier to take down first, guys?
  1880. Michael D.: kill the snake's head
  1881. or in this case, a T-Rex
  1882. Tracy G.: OK lol
1883. Hunter E. (GM): Always an option, but remember that Trex is harder than most enemies!
1884. Michael D.: aye, mean need to gang up on him?
1885. Tracy G.: Yeah. I was thinking that taking out droids would reduce the crossfire, and we cana ll focus on him once the droids are gone.
1886. George B.: yeah, this is the final boss battle. I agree with Tracy, take out the droids
1887. it's like clearing the level on the way to the final boss
1888. Hunter E. (GM): Keeping in mind the two droids from the entrance have not joined the fray
1889. Michael D.: up to you guys
1890. Tracy G.: The droids from entrance to bay or to ship? Clarifiying
1891. Michael D.: I will use blaster carbine on droid since they are far away
1892. Hunter E. (GM): From the entrance to the bay
1893. Fable Creel winces as she gets shot at. "Uch! Damn!" She glances at her self and notices that her shoulder is bleeding. Fortunately, it's not the shooting shoulder,, so she grabs her pistol out of her holder and shoots at the nearest security droid near Trex without aiming.
1894. Tracy G.: I can decide where the injury is, right?
1895. Hunter E. (GM): We can agree on this :0
  1896. * :)
1897. Tracy G.: Rock on! SO, rolls would be...
  1898. Hunter E. (GM): I didn't specify, so sure :)
  1899. 1y2g2p
  1900. 41-VEX: good
  1901. Tracy G.: That's a successful roll, right?
1902. Hunter E. (GM): Correct and you hit him!
1903. The droid is slightly fazed.
  1904. Tracy G.: Yay!
1905. Hunter E. (GM): Rolling for Droids now
1906. The droid takes aim at VEX, but misses!
1907. The second droid fires, but misses as well! It was uncertain who he was aiming at!
  1908. Oksara!
1909. Oksara: ready my blaster carbine
1910. and fire at the droid
1911. Hunter E. (GM): Which droid?
1912. The same one Fable shot at>
  1913. ?
  1914. Oksara: yes
  1915. Hunter E. (GM): Okay :)
1916. Oksara: he's fazed, so i want to take that opportunty
  1917. Hunter E. (GM): Oh
1918. That didn't actually mean anything.
1919. That was just me being narrative lol
  1920. George B.: lol
1921. Hunter E. (GM): If it actually did anything, I would have said so
  1922. Oksara: lol alrighty
1923. Hunter E. (GM): Sorry for confusion!
1924. Still a good decision since he was injured with Fabel's shot
  1925. :)
  1926. *Fable
  1927. Oksara: finish him off!
  1928. Hunter E. (GM): 2p
1929. 41-VEX: missed me, slagbots! de-fog your optics!
  1930. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  1931. Good RPing!
  1932. Tracy G.: LOL!
1933. Oksara: two tellow and 2 green for the gun plus 2 p
1934. Hunter E. (GM): that is correct
  1935. Oksara: wow
1936. George B.: ooh, is that good
1937. Oksara: blast carbine does 9 damanage for each burst
1938. Hunter E. (GM): no no
  1939. 9 damage for a successful hit
  1940. Oksara: drat
1941. Hunter E. (GM): +1 for each additional success
  1942. lol
1943. That would be waaay too OP if it did 9 damage for each hit lol
1944. Oksara: Lol yea! Death Star walking
  1945. George B.: lol!
1946. okay so that is a threat symbol, but what is the other thing?
1947. Hunter E. (GM): With a triumph, that means something else good happens
  1948. usually a crit
1949. So, let me roll for that
  1950. You obliterate the droid
  1951. Oksara jump with joy
  1952. 41-VEX: Wooo-hooo!
1953. Oksara: that's one less headace to deal with
1954. Hunter E. (GM): In doing so, the droid's arm pops off itself and hits Trex, making him winded (critical injury)
  1955. 41-VEX: ah-hahahaha
  1956. Oksara: sweet shootin'
1957. Hunter E. (GM): (no extra damage to him, but now he can't do a second maneuver if he chooses to do so)
  1958. Vex's turn!
1959. 41-VEX picturing a droid fist slamming into Trex's crotch
1960. Tracy G.: lol, sorry, I had to figur eout what my cat was trying to get at. She as trying to get at a plastic straw. That's a no-no for her.
1961. Fable Creel grins. "Nice job, Oks!"
1962. George B.: I can say something, and do an action as well?
1963. Hunter E. (GM): Talking is incidental
1964. Unless you're talking to try and do something like charm/deceit
1965. Taunting is, of course, allowed
1966. 41-VEX: Stop shooting!! We're here to deliver the HRMI to Trex. Here it is, catch!!
  1967. George B.: then I toss a stun grenade to him :)
  1968. Tracy G.: lmao!
1969. Hunter E. (GM): Wonderful lol
  1970. Oksara: nice
  1971. Hunter E. (GM): 2p
1972. 41-VEX: do I roll any good dice?
  1973. oh, 2 g
  1974. Tracy G.: woot!
1975. George B.: he has good hands. Or ... had.
  1976. Oksara: lol
1977. Hunter E. (GM): You hit Trex, it doesn't damage him, but it does make him even more winded! Oof!
1978. Oksara: so Trex lose a turn?
  1979. Hunter E. (GM): Nope
  1980. Still standing
1981. Tracy G.: just more dizzy?
1982. George B.: man, he is tough
1983. Hunter E. (GM): Not really lol
1984. He just took strain damage
1985. Stun grenades damage strain, not wounds
1986. Oksara: ooh I need to blast his ass off that ship
1987. Hunter E. (GM): Rolling for Trex
1988. Trex: I knew I should've known something was up when I saw that droid away from his shop! Vorn never lets that thing leave the property!
1989. Trex takes aim and fires at Vex
  1990. 41-VEX: eep
1991. Hunter E. (GM): gat dam
  1992. Tracy G.: Bad?
  1993. Hunter E. (GM): extremely
1994. 41-VEX twists backward all the way like 'bullet time'
1995. Hunter E. (GM): Vex takes nine damage
  1996. Oksara: holy shit
1997. Hunter E. (GM): but the blast of the force of the shot combined with Trex's windedness knocks him off his feet
1998. 41-VEX okay, that was my back. I think my back hydraulics are out ...
1999. Hunter E. (GM): Trex takes 2 strain damage
2000. Tracy G.: Does that mean he's down atm?
2001. Hunter E. (GM): (he is still conscious and alive)
2002. (just on the ground now)
2003. Oksara glancing at a huge hole in Vex's metallic body
2004. Hunter E. (GM): (he fell off the ramp)
2005. Tracy G.: Damn, so we can't shoot at him now.
2006. Hunter E. (GM): No hole lol
  2007. Tracy G.: Right?
  2008. Oksara: lol
2009. Hunter E. (GM): If anything, you've got a clearer shot
2010. Tracy G.: Ooh, nice, Ok
2011. Hunter E. (GM): he's on the ground now
2012. George B.: you can shoot him through the hole in my body ... lol
  2013. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  2014. Oksara: lol
  2015. Hunter E. (GM): Fable's turn
2016. Tracy G.: lmao, that might help if you were in front of me. ;)
2017. Fable Creel grits her teeth, and takes aim at Trex's chest if possible, and shoots her blaster.
2018. Hunter E. (GM): add 1 blue for the aim
  2019. Tracy G.: 2p2g1b?
  2020. Hunter E. (GM): and 1y
2021. Tracy G.: oooooooo, success and bonus.
2022. Hunter E. (GM): You do light damage to trex, but it is enough to make him roll on his side, making him a broader target - the next person who shoots at him will get a blue dice
2023. Oksara: let hope the droid decide to join the winning side
2024. Fable Creel: Oks, you gotta get him! We need to put him down stat!
2025. 41-VEX: I seem to be leaking coolant at an alarming rate ...
2026. Hunter E. (GM): The droid fires at Oksara but misses
2027. Instead hitting the hull of the Krayt Fang, making sparks fly
2028. Oksara look at pretty sparks
2029. Hunter E. (GM): R5 becomes concerned and jumps up and rolls into Oksara, tripping her
2030. Oksara takes two strain and is now on the ground
2031. Fable Creel: Dude, Fiver! What'd you go and do that for??!
  2032. R5 Droid: R5-SAW-SPARKS.
2033. George B.: I'm gonna guess it was a black spot? lol
  2034. R5 Droid: R5-HAD-TO-REPAIR
2035. Oksara: it's ok 5er, i need to get lower for a better shot anyway
2036. R5 Droid: Nope, it was a complete miss but 4 advantages lol
  2037. Oksara: lol!!!
2038. Fable Creel: So you want to fix everything, perhaps you could fix thsi situation by getting the security droid to stop firing at us!
2039. 41-VEX: Fiver, if you really want to repair something, buddy ... (shows massive hole to Fiver)
  2040. R5 Droid: THAT-LOOKS-BAD
2041. Oksara looking at Trex, burining angry inside. take an aim
2042. Fable Creel: No shit, sherlock.
  2043. R5 Droid: WHO-IS-SHERLOCK
2044. Oksara squeezed the trigger with fluidity
2045. Hunter E. (GM): (galaxy far far away a long time ago, don't forget! ;) )
  2046. 2blu2p
2047. 41-VEX: SEARCH 405 Complete. Wry comment accepted. Snappy comeback not found.
2048. Tracy G.: I've got lore knowledge though! lol
  2049. Hunter E. (GM): lol
2050. Oksara: dang that a good roll!
  2051. 41-VEX: ba-da-boom
2052. Tracy G.: BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!
  2053. Trex howls in pain
2054. Hunter E. (GM): All of this firing at Trex just makes him angrier and angrier!
2055. Oksara: is he getting stronger too?
2056. Hunter E. (GM): (no added bonuses, just an angry Trandoshan)
  2057. Oksara: phew!
  2058. Hunter E. (GM): Vex's turn
2059. George B.: lol, oksara! just like a final boss to get stronger when you shoot him enough
2060. Hunter E. (GM): or in this case, pissed off enough to attack whomever is hurting him the most :)
2061. Oksara: The way Hunter desribe Trex angry make me think of Hulk
  2062. Tracy G.: HULK SMASH!
2063. Hunter E. (GM): If you had some threats in your roll, maaaaybe lol
2064. Oksara: not asking for it, lol
  2065. Hunter E. (GM): haha
2066. George B.: okay, I am going to spin and feign powering down ... to land facing away from the bad guys. I want them to think I am out of commission. But really I am going to lie there and try to repair myself without drawing attention
2067. Hunter E. (GM): That would count as a deception check
2068. and it'd be Trex you'd have to fool since he's the "leader" here
2069. You COULD move to cover
2070. George B.: ok, I start to do that, and say "BOOOP BOOooo ... Agh, I am Powering Down, I am ... " and then "Oh to hell with it, anyway" -- because I know I am a terrible actor. So then I just shoot him
  2071. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  2072. 2p1r
2073. In case anyone had forgotten from the earlier attempt ;)
2074. (since this is still tutorial, we can rewind if needed)
  2075. man
  2076. lol
  2077. Tracy G.: lol
  2078. Oksara: no fooling!
2079. Tracy G.: That is bad.
2080. 41-VEX hiss of exhaust (like a sigh)
  2081. Oksara: ooooh!
2082. Hunter E. (GM): You miss, clearly
  2083. oh
  2084. wait
  2085. shit
2086. I missed that last line
  2087. Where you shot him
2088. Hunter E. (GM): that is not a 2p1r roll then
  2089. that's just a 2p roll
2090. so we'll cancel out that red dice
2091. which just means nothing happens
  2092. lol
  2093. 41-VEX: :)
  2094. Tracy G.: lol good
2095. Hunter E. (GM): You succeed in fooling your comrades into thinking you were going to shoot.
2096. If you die on the battlefield today, they will remember you as Vex the Vexing
  2097. 41-VEX: hahahaha!
2098. Oksara: I will remember you always, Vexy
2099. Hunter E. (GM): fingers crossed Trex doesn't hurt again
  2100. Tracy G.: lmao
2101. 41-VEX: Always remember DIRECTIVE 247: "Don't run through puddles and splash organic beings."
2102. Hunter E. (GM): Trex attempts to shoot at Fable while she is distracted by Vex's antics.
  2103. And misses
  2104. Oksara: lol
2105. Hunter E. (GM): But the blast does put a blur in her eyes, akin to staring at the sun.
2106. Meaning Fable will roll a setback (black) die her next roll.
  2107. Fable's turn!
2108. George B.: close your eyes, and use the force ...
2109. Fable Creel: Godammit. My eyes!
2110. Fable Creel squeezes her eyes, trying to clear the blur, and shoots at Trex using her muscle memory of her last shot. "Screw you, dino!"
  2111. Oksara: lol @dino
  2112. Hunter E. (GM): 2p1blk
  2113. Tracy G.: ok
  2114. Damn it.
2115. Hunter E. (GM): well then
2116. The blurring was enough to make you miss, but you do end up hitting the security droid instead
  2117. rolling for crit
2118. 41-VEX: guns don't kill people. optic blurs kill people
2119. and by people, I mean metallic ones
2120. Hunter E. (GM): aaaand you get a free attack against the droid if you so wish.
  2121. Tracy G.: Oh, I do?
2122. Hunter E. (GM): Your eyesight has cleared up too, so there wouldn't be a setback die
2123. Yes, because of the advantages/crit
2124. Tracy G.: Nice. So, what would my roll be? 2g 2p?
  2125. Hunter E. (GM): 1y2g2p
  2126. Tracy G.: OK
2127. Fable Creel then swings her pistol at the droid, shooting at him.
2128. Tracy G.: wtf man, lmao
2129. Hunter E. (GM): And you miss again
  2130. lol
2131. Tracy G.: So the two advantages means nothing?
2132. Hunter E. (GM): You snap out of it and recover 2 strain.
2133. (still can't go past max)
2134. Tracy G.: Strain is blue?
  2135. Hunter E. (GM): Correct
2136. So you max at 12
  2137. not 13
2138. Tracy G.: Yep. I was checking my chart
  2139. Hunter E. (GM): Droid's turn
2140. The droid has taken offense to being fired upon
2141. And fires back at Fable for 6 damage!
  2142. Ouch!
  2143. Fable Creel: Oof~!
2144. Hunter E. (GM): Oksara to the rescue... hopefully!
2145. Oksara felt inspired seeing her teammate taking those fatal wound shots
2146. Hunter E. (GM): not fatal
  2147. lol
  2148. 41-VEX: just about
  2149. Hunter E. (GM): nearly
  2150. yes
  2151. lol
2152. 41-VEX notes that Fable is also leaking "coolant" at an alarming rate ...
2153. Oksara aiming for Trex's eye, and release the blast of fiery revenge!
  2154. Hunter E. (GM): 2p1blu
  2155. Oksara: and''s it a epic hit!!!
  2156. 41-VEX: vaporized!!
  2157. Tracy G.: WOOOOT!
2158. Oksara: Trex is now know as One-Eyed T-Rex
  2159. 41-VEX: lol
  2160. Trex grabs his eye
  2161. 41-VEX from the floor
  2162. Trex gives a roar
2163. Oksara: oh boy, he's still standing
2164. Trex gives another fiercer and more primal roar
2165. Fable Creel: Oh, crap. I can't take much more of this, we gotta take both down ASAP. Wish Fiver could fix us up...
2166. Trex quiets roar down to clicking reptilian sounds
2167. Trex lets out a raspy rattle
2168. Fable Creel: Oooh, did you get him, Oks?
2169. Trex goes down to his knees and falls forward
  2170. 41-VEX: oh, yeah!
  2171. Trex is dead.
  2172. 41-VEX: Trex is "extinct".
2173. Oksara blow off the smoke frrom her blast carbine
2174. Hunter E. (GM): Damn, wish I did that one.
  2175. Tracy G.: lmao
2176. Hunter E. (GM): Good one lol
  2177. 41-VEX: lol
  2178. Oksara: :)
2179. Fable Creel: Sweet! Now, for the droid...
2180. Hunter E. (GM): But yeah, that was the exact damage needed
  2181. Oksara: whooop!
2182. Hunter E. (GM): The droid deactivates itself and does a self-destruct.
2183. 41-VEX: We call dibs on his ship
2184. Oksara: loved the false alarm
2185. Hunter E. (GM): Same with the other two at the entrance.
  2186. Tracy G.: lol
2187. Fable Creel: Oh, we need to get on NOW and get in the air!!!
  2188. 41-VEX: Wooo-hooo! Kiss my shiny metal ass! :)
2189. Hunter E. (GM): Everyone restore either your cool or your presence for strain
2190. Oksara: lol, Bender! welcome to the party
2191. Hunter E. (GM): or rather, just Vex
2192. Vex gets full strain back lol
2193. George B.: well done with getting the reference! :)
2194. Hunter E. (GM): This is your opportunity to heal up if needed
2195. depending on how many medkits/repair kits you have
2196. Fable Creel looks at her self. "DO we have any med kits on us?"
2197. Hunter E. (GM): Bios started out with 4 stimpaks
  2198. Oksara: i do
2199. 41-VEX: I am a fully equipped medical repair droid
2200. Hunter E. (GM): and Vex started out with uhh
  2201. 2 kits
2202. my bad, bios started with 2 stimpaks
2203. Tracy G.: How much will 1 stimpack heal for?
2204. Hunter E. (GM): but I think SOMEONE used one stimpak in the cantina?
  2205. 4 wounds
2206. 41-VEX: Yes. I will use 1 kit on myself, so that I am less prone to error ... then, I will offer to use my medicine skill to repa--heal Fable
2207. Hunter E. (GM): that is an easy check, so 1p
2208. Note: that will not heal her wounds, just get rid of her crit if successful
2209. Tracy G.: stimpack doesn't heal? or it does?
2210. Hunter E. (GM): And Fable no longer feels discouraged by her wound.
  2211. Stimpaks do heal
2212. but Vex's medicine skill removes injuries
  2213. Tracy G.: great
2214. 41-VEX: DIRECTIVE 262 part II: "Don't worry, be happy."
  2215. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  2216. I love these directives
  2217. 41-VEX: :)
2218. Fable Creel: Oy vey. That was bad, Vex. But thank you. I'll try using a stimpack to see if I can heal up a bit.
2219. 41-VEX: You are most welcome, master Fable
2220. Hunter E. (GM): Meanwhile Oksara is just sitting back, thinking how grateful she is to have shields.
2221. 41-VEX the "master" part is always spoken with a buzz of irony
2222. Oksara: indeed, just basking in the glory of recent battle
2223. Hunter E. (GM): The shields being Fable and VEX, that is
  2224. George B.: hahahaha
2225. 41-VEX: Fiver, let's get moving! We've got a ship to shape up!
  2226. R5 Droid: LET-US-HASTEN
2227. Tracy G.: OK, can I get a roll for stimpak?
2228. Hunter E. (GM): Free heals
  2229. Tracy G.: sweet. +4?
2230. Hunter E. (GM): Consumable, though. Once you use it, that's it until you find more.
  2231. Correct :)
2232. Tracy G.: Yeah, I'll just use one so I'm not near death
  2233. Hunter E. (GM): Wise!
2234. Fable Creel: I'll head to the cockpit. Can y'all get the HMRI set up and let me know when we can take off?
2235. 41-VEX: Fiver, where do we go? Engineering?
2236. R5 Droid: Oksara looks behind her before she boards
  2237. and notices Stormtroopers coming!
2238. Hunter E. (GM): damn it, meant to do that as GM
  2239. Tracy G.: OK
2240. 41-VEX: The ramp!! Close the ramp!
2241. Hunter E. (GM): It would behoove you to go ahead and take off!
2242. The HMRI isn't needed to take off, only to go in hyperspace
2243. Oksara: yes, I go in the pilot seat
2244. Fable Creel hurries and gets into the cockpit, setting everything up.
  2245. Fable Creel: No, I fly. I'm a pilot.
2246. Hunter E. (GM): You join Fable
2247. 41-VEX: pushing the 'close ramp' button
2248. Oksara: im pilot too, lol
2249. Hunter E. (GM): The ramp closes.
2250. Oksara: we can work together
2251. Fable Creel pulls the loading ramp up
2252. Fable Creel: OK, hurry and get in the copolit seat. Droids, buckle up! We're taking off!
2253. Hunter E. (GM): YT-1200s are meant to be piloted by a pilot and a copilot
2254. Oksara: starting off the engine
  2255. perfect!
2256. Hunter E. (GM): You can't start an engine from crew quarters
  2257. Oksara: ready Fable?
  2258. Hunter E. (GM): lol
2259. Tracy G.: You're in the wrong area...crew quarters. lmao
2260. Fable Creel: Ready as soon as you get here!
2261. Start up the engine, let's goi!
2262. 41-VEX: one of us should man the guns
2263. Hunter E. (GM): VEX is there to tell you the odds, I see.
  2264. George B.: lol!
2265. Oksara: I have gunnery, I ll handle them
2266. Fable Creel grabs the steering. The guns are up there, nto in here.
  2267. Tracy G.: lol
2268. is the engine started up now?
  2269. 41-VEX: I can co-pilot
2270. Hunter E. (GM): It is as soon as you say they are.
2271. Oksara: yes, engine all warm up for u
2272. 41-VEX: if you want to go to the laser canon turret, Oks
2273. Hunter E. (GM): Also reminder: YT-1200s have two gunner positions
2274. Fable Creel: Good, let's go. Can you climb into the turrents while I take off, Oksara?
2275. Oksara: point me in the direction
  2276. :)
2277. Michael D.: Do I go in battle with the stormtrooper or use gunnery roll?
2278. Fable Creel pulls on the steering, starting to lift up, and moves towards the sky.
2279. Hunter E. (GM): The Krayt Fang thrums around you as its engines power up, lifting through the hangar bay doors and into the bright sunslight of the Tatooine sky. Soon, Mos Shuuta vanishes behind you as you race out over the Dune Sea and climb toward outer space.
2280. Suddenly, an alert klaxon blares! As you leave Tatooine's atmosphere, several spherical starfighters with distinctive hexagonal wing assemblies appear on the ship's scanners - TIE fighters! The starfighters shoot past, laser cannons blazing, and sparks fly from a console in the cockpit - you've been hit! You're not clear of the planet's gravity well yet and can't jump to lightspeed without the hypermatter reactor igniter installed. You'll have to deal with thes TIE fighters first!
2281. 41-VEX: Hold on, R5! (someone had to say it)
2282. Tracy G.: Can we have one piloting while the other two shoots?
  2283. Hunter E. (GM): Absolutely
  2284. So
2285. Oksara: good thing I'm already in the seat
2286. Hunter E. (GM): Here's how space combat works.
  2287. Three major roles
  2288. 1. Pilot
  2289. 2. Gunner
  2290. 3. Mechanic
  2291. 41-VEX: aha
2292. Hunter E. (GM): the pilot does the loopty-swooping
2293. the gunner does the pew-pew
2294. and the mechanic hits the hydrospanner on whatever needs to be spanned
2295. Pilots can do either Evasive Action or Gain the Advantage
  2296. Oksara: lol @spanned
2297. Hunter E. (GM): Evasive Action makes it harder for the foes to hit you
  2298. Tracy G.: OK..
2299. Hunter E. (GM): Gaining the advantage helps the gunners line up their shots, making their rolls easier
  2300. Gunners can
  2301. shoot
  2302. that's about it
  2303. 41-VEX: lol
2304. Hunter E. (GM): Mechanics fix the ship as needed
2305. Tracy G.: We're in the planetary, right? Not in space?
  2306. Hunter E. (GM): Correct
  2307. No
  2308. Sorry
2309. This counts as space piloting
2310. Even though you're not out of the atmosphere just yet, you're still not on the planet
2311. Tracy G.: NP, I wanted to make sure since I hav rank 2 in space piloting.
  2312. George B.: we're in low orbit
2313. Hunter E. (GM): Planetary piloting is more for swoop bikes, hover cars, that kind of thing
2314. George B.: nope, not in orbit yet
  2315. Oksara: gotcha
2316. Tracy G.: OK. So does space piloting help us with fighting?
2317. Hunter E. (GM): It's argumentative, I'll give you that
2318. Tracy G.: IN terms of rolls and stuff that is.
2319. Hunter E. (GM): The tutorial calls for space piloting
2320. But since space combat isn't exactly my favorite part of EotE, I'm willing to be flexible
2321. Oksara: use your destiny roll, Hunter!
2322. Hunter E. (GM): especially since we're kind of in the grey area
  2323. hahaha
2324. George B.: I think it is up to the pilot -- can go higher to space, or lower to stay planetary
2325. Hunter E. (GM): Okay, I'm going to use my destiny point to argue that this is space piloting, just to give you guys some kind of advantage
  2326. two advantages, really
2327. Tracy G.: I would use space piloting, since I DO have points in that, I think?
  2328. Oksara: :)
2329. Hunter E. (GM): 1. You get a white point and space piloting is better for Fable :)
  2330. George B.: sweet
2331. Hunter E. (GM): Initative is already established since you were warned
  2332. Tracy G.: woot
2333. Hunter E. (GM): so the Krayt Fang goes first then the TIES
2334. Tracy G.: OK. I'd do the gain the advantage first, what do you guys think?
  2335. Oksara: yes. gfi
2336. Tracy G.: is R5 useful fo ranything? Mechanial? Go fix shit on the ship?
2337. 41-VEX: yes, and I am manning a gun too
2338. Hunter E. (GM): R5 can do the mechanics
  2339. 41-VEX: attaboy!
  2340. Tracy G.: sweet.
2341. Hunter E. (GM): Okay, so Tracy is doing gaining the advantage
2342. if she is successful, the gunners will go from 2p to 1p when firing
  2343. that is a 2p roll
2344. Tracy G.: OK. How do I roll for gaining the advantage? and does space piloting do anything?
2345. Hunter E. (GM): You roll your space piloting
  2346. Tracy G.: OK, so 2y?
  2347. Hunter E. (GM): correct
2348. George B.: ooh, that is really good
  2349. Tracy G.: 2p2y then
  2350. Hunter E. (GM): yes :)
  2351. And you are successful
  2352. Oksara: nice!!!
  2353. 41-VEX: pew pew pew
2354. Hunter E. (GM): You stall mid-air and let the TIEs swoosh by you
2355. Gunners, use your Gunnery skills
2356. Oksara: why did we stall?
  2357. Hunter E. (GM): with 1p checks
  2358. George B.: skillz
2359. Fable Creel: Well, we need the ties in front, Oks. I'm awesome. Now you can shoot them easy!
2360. 41-VEX: easy .. is easy for you to say
2361. Oksara: no burst, but three critical
2362. Hunter E. (GM): Be sure you specify who you shoot at
2363. Oksara: the one that just swooshed in front of me
2364. Hunter E. (GM): Doesn't matter actually lol
  2365. Since you both missed
2366. Fable Creel facepalms and readys herself for the shootbacks
2367. 41-VEX: still getting the hang of this. gunnery systems are laggy
2368. Fable Creel: Fiver, brace for impact and fix whatever breaks, please!
2369. Hunter E. (GM): The Krayt Fang's lasers might've needed to be realigned, oops! VEX and Oksara quickly find the realignment controls and take aim early on! Both will get 1 blue die added to their next roll.
2370. R5 attempts to fix the HMRI
  2371. R5 Droid: R5-REPAIR
  2372. R5-BEST-REPAIR-DROID-ON-TATOOINE
2373. Fable Creel: Well, then you can become the best repair droid in SPACE, Fiver!
  2374. R5 Droid: R5-ALSO-BEST-REPAIR-DROID-OFF-TATOOINE-APPARENTLY
  2375. 41-VEX: :)
2376. Hunter E. (GM): R5 successfully repairs the HMRI
  2377. Oksara: awesome
  2378. 41-VEX: Fiver, you are a STAR!
2379. Hunter E. (GM): The HMRI will take time to warm up
2380. Tracy G.: Do I need to hit anything to warm them up?
2381. Hunter E. (GM): So either stay alive or destroy the TIEs long enough to be able to jump into hyperspace!
2382. Nah, it's warming up now. It will be 3 rounds or until the end of combat until it is ready to go.
  2383. Tracy G.: OK
2384. 41-VEX: maybe we can fly into a giant space worm, and take it easy for a bit?
2385. Hunter E. (GM): There are no asteroids around Tatooine unfortunately
  2386. The TIEs turn now!
2387. TIEs attack as a wing unit
2388. meaning they both attack together
2389. Fable Creel: That's not gonna happen, y'all. Brace for the TIEs!
  2390. 41-VEX: zoiks!
2391. Hunter E. (GM): And they both miss. Clearly the gravity of mid-orbit combat is affecting the laser's physics. The TIE pilots have adjusted accordingly.
2392. Tracy G.: My turn to pilot?
  2393. Hunter E. (GM): It is :)
2394. Evasive Maneuvers or Gain the Advantage
2395. Fable Creel: Ok, let's try this again, I really need y'all to hit them and hit them hard, ok?
  2396. 41-VEX: affirmative
2397. Tracy G.: Gain advantage. I'll try braking again, hopefully they won't expect it so soon.
2398. Hunter E. (GM): Go for it
  2399. You are successful!
  2400. Gunners?
  2401. 41-VEX: I-HAVE-YOU-NOW
2402. Oksara: I am aiming at Tie fighter that swooshed us
2403. George B.: oh sorry, I am aiming at lower tie as well
2404. Hunter E. (GM): You'd still have to pick which one lol
  2405. and don't forget the blue :)
2406. Oksara: yeah, im aiming for the one in space
2407. Hunter E. (GM): They're both in space
  2408. We're all in mid-orbit lol
  2409. George B.: haha
2410. Oksara: one is on the planet
2411. George B.: let's say upper and lower?
  2412. Oksara: aye
2413. Hunter E. (GM): Close your eyes and pretend
  2414. lol
2415. George B.: I am shooting lower one
2416. Oksara: i just shot theupper one
  2417. Hunter E. (GM): okay
  2418. dag
  2419. Tracy G.: Sweet, y'all rock
  2420. 41-VEX: ka-blooie!!
2421. Hunter E. (GM): There is a flash of light as one of the TIEs disintegrates!
  2422. Oksara: beautiful sight!
  2423. Fable Creel: Sweet!
2424. Hunter E. (GM): The other TIE is nearly crippled, barely flying, but is still determined to make their stripes!
2425. The TIE turns around and shoots!
  2426. 41-VEX: we had to get a 'try-hard' TIE
  2427. Hunter E. (GM): haha
  2428. Fable Creel: Well damn.
2429. Hunter E. (GM): And it completely misses!
  2430. Krayt Fang's turn!
2431. Tracy G.: Sec, they messed up badly on the pizza we ordered. I gotta call and fix the situation.
  2432. Hunter E. (GM): okay :)
2433. Fable Creel: Ok, here we go. Let's go in for hte kill~
  2434. Tracy G.: gain advantage
  2435. One purple right?
  2436. Hunter E. (GM): 2
2437. Tracy G.: even though one tie is down?
2438. Hunter E. (GM): you're trying to help the gunners get 1p
  2439. Tracy G.: OK
2440. Hunter E. (GM): yes, 2 is average
2441. Fable Creel: damn. Sorry, y'all
2442. Hunter E. (GM): As soon as the TIE sees the Krayt Fang slow down, it slows down as well
  2443. Can't fool this try-hard three times!
  2444. Oksara: lol
2445. Vex, do you want thenkillshot?
2446. 41-VEX: fool me once, shame on me ... fool me twice ... well, you can't fool me again
2447. Hunter E. (GM): A great saying from Tennessee
  2448. But also in Texas
  2449. 41-VEX: :)
2450. Thank you sir, but I think you should have the honours
  2451. Oksara: for honor....
  2452. R5 Droid: WHY-NOT-BOTH
2453. 41-VEX: Fiver, you amaze me sometimes
  2454. also for honor ...
  2455. Hunter E. (GM): (don't forget, 2p)
2456. George B.: his dice roll said "boom!"?!
2457. Hunter E. (GM): The gunners can almost hear the TIE pilot calling for his mother
2458. haha you captioned the roll
2459. Oksara: shut that MoFo dwn!
2460. Hunter E. (GM): We'll wait for Tracy to get back :)
2461. 41-VEX: your mother can't hear you in space
  2462. Hunter E. (GM): o snap
2463. Oksara: In space, no one can hear you screaming for your mama
  2464. 41-VEX: lmao
  2465. Hunter E. (GM): But they're mid-orbit
2466. I don't know what the rules are for that
  2467. Oksara: lol!
2468. Hunter E. (GM): If there's still gravity, sound can get out
  2469. Right?
2470. 41-VEX: needs atmosphere, not gravity
  2471. Oksara: Deaf planet
  2472. lol
  2473. 41-VEX: Eyeth
2474. Hunter E. (GM): But atmopshere implies a level of gravity, yes?
2475. or the other way around
  2476. gravity implies atmopshere
2477. 41-VEX: no, you are correct. the first one
2478. Hunter E. (GM): then again, I'm thinking about the moon - very little gravity and very little atmosphere
2479. 41-VEX: there's gravity far out in space too, but not enough around anything to hold an atmosphere together
2480. Hunter E. (GM): idk, I teach 3rd grade science lol
  2481. Oksara: lol
  2482. 41-VEX: lol
2483. Hunter E. (GM): okay, so since there's a gravitational well, we can assume that there is atmosphere
  2484. and maybe
  2485. just maybe
2486. someone heard this poor pilot call out for his mother
2487. such as a droid and a twi'lek in gunner seats in a stolen YT-1200 freighter
2488. 41-VEX: I did. And it made me run my "chuckle" program
  2489. Hunter E. (GM): haha
2490. I hope the pizza is okay.
2491. I would be upset if my pizza was wrong too.
2492. Oksara: Pizza the Hutt died while eating himself
  2493. sorry...
  2494. Hunter E. (GM): hahaha
  2495. I haven't seen Spaceballs in forever
2496. Tracy G.: Back. Pizza is all messed up. Half was supposed to be pepperoni, onions, and bell peppers, other half with fresh mozzarella and basil. The pizza arrived with NO toppings on first half and correct toppigns on 2nd half.
2497. George B.: same here. especially now, since I am eating a lot less ... decided to try the intermittent (16 hour fast) diet
2498. Hunter E. (GM): They did announce a Spaceballs sequel, but idk if that was true or not
  2499. George B.: lol, oks
2500. Hunter E. (GM): Oh wow!
2501. Oksara: Rick Moranis just did a camero as Dark Helmet last week o The Goldbergs. he was teasing Spaceball 2
2502. George B.: nothing on the fist half? jeez
  2503. Tracy G.: yeah. They're sending a replacement pronto.
  2504. Hunter E. (GM): nice
2505. Tracy G.: so nwo I"m back, and yay, all fighters dead!
2506. Hunter E. (GM): free plain pizza
2507. Tracy G.: and extra helping of the 2nd half. lol
  2508. Hunter E. (GM): Sweet
  2509. :)
  2510. OKAY
2511. Ample time has passed by
2512. The HMRI is warmed up
2513. And if someone doesn't say it, I'll be upset
  2514. Tracy G.: 2 pilots needed for hy[erdrive?
2515. George B.: it won't be the same without Mel Brooks. Or John Candy, for that matter. But mostly without Mel Brooks, I can't say I am in favor of this
2516. Oksara: Mel Brooks passed away?
  2517. Tracy G.: He's still alive I think
2518. Hunter E. (GM): He's an old fart.
2519. George B.: is he going to be in Spaceballs 2??
2520. Hunter E. (GM): No idea, but I'd settle for a stan lee-esque cameo.
2521. Tracy G.: Still alive. Still acting.
2522. Michael D.: I duno, everyone was surprised he did the Dark Helemt cameo on a tv show
2523. Tracy G.: Anyway, 2 pilots needed for hyperdrive?
2524. Hunter E. (GM): Just the one. No roll needed.
  2525. BUT
  2526. SOMEONE
  2527. SHOULD SAY IT
2528. Michael D.: take us away, Fable
2529. Fable Creel: Ok, y'all, brace up, let's jump into hypedrive!
  2530. 41-VEX: do you mean ...
2531. remember ... the force will be with you, always
2532. Hunter E. (GM) facepalms at you guys
  2533. 41-VEX: hahaha
2534. Fable Creel: Vex, that's old.
  2535. 41-VEX: just kidding
  2536. Tracy G.: lmao
  2537. Michael D.: lol
  2538. 41-VEX: TRAVELING-THROUGH-HYPERSPACE-AINT-LIKE-DUSTING-CROPS, FARMBOY
  2539. Hunter E. (GM): lol
2540. This is the first group that has managed to not say the line.
2541. Fable Creel: That's right, Vex. At any rate, strap yourself in, we're making the jump to light speed!
2542. Tracy G.: lmao. I'm not good with quoting movies
2543. Michael D.: I have no idea what the line sppose to be
2544. 41-VEX: my line was about hyperspace, at least
2545. Michael D.: I got a bad feeling about this
  2546. Hunter E. (GM): I'll give you a hint
  2547. "_____ ___, Chewie!"
  2548. 41-VEX: BAD DOG, CHEWIE!
  2549. Hunter E. (GM) facepalms
2550. Michael D.: buckle up, Chewie?
  2551. 41-VEX: hahaa
  2552. Tracy G.: lmao
2553. Hunter E. (GM): You guys have successfully PUNCHED IT
  2554. 41-VEX: lmao!!!
2555. Hunter E. (GM): into hyperspace
  2556. Michael D.: lol!!!
2557. Tracy G.: LMAO! That was the line? Punch it?
  2558. Hunter E. (GM): yes
  2559. lol
  2560. 41-VEX: Punch it, Chewie!
2561. Michael D.: yup, i forgot about that oe
  2562. 41-VEX: WOOO-HOOOO!! BOOOOP BOOOOP
  2563. Tracy G.: lmao
2564. Hunter E. (GM): I ought to knock off xp for this travesty
2565. Tracy G.: So, is that the end?
  2566. Hunter E. (GM): But I won't
  2567. lol
  2568. 41-VEX: :)
  2569. Hunter E. (GM): Yes
  2570. Michael D.: cheers
2571. Hunter E. (GM): Thus endeth the tutorial adventure.
2572. But this story is not over.
2573. There is a second part to this adventure.
2574. You guys are welcome to create your own characters and retcon them into this story.
2575. 41-VEX rubs metal palms in anticipation
2576. Michael D.: sweet, i do have question
  2577. Hunter E. (GM): Shoot!
2578. Michael D.: the regular mission are longer than the tutorial misson?
2579. 41-VEX still rubbing metal palms. it is REALLY noisy ...
2580. Hunter E. (GM): Don't look at them as "missions" but rather stories to be told.
2581. They're technically told in episodes
2582. This was episode 1 of the story
  2583. Michael D.: gotcha
2584. Hunter E. (GM): Episode 1 was titled "Escape from Mos Shuuta"
2585. Episode 2 is titled, "Long Arm of the Hutt"
2586. George B.: yes, but in true Star Wars fashion, we need to tell the episodes out of order ..?
  2587. Hunter E. (GM): hahaha
2588. Episode 2 is immediately after Episode 1
  2589. :)
2590. 41-VEX: I say we call this one episode 4
2591. Hunter E. (GM): Fair enough
2592. Michael D.: I enjoyed this, and want to try again in ASL, however with the Star Wars jargons will be a challegene
2593. Hunter E. (GM): That has been my fear
2594. When I do this in ASL, it comes off as... a bit more plainer?
2595. Michael D.: i agree with you, for Star Wars, English is better
  2596. Tracy G.: I concur.
2597. Hunter E. (GM): since there are several signs that have several meanings
2598. Tracy G.: Maybe we could use the videos to discuss OOC stuff?
2599. Michael D.: if we use different therme, we can have more felxible rule with asl?
2600. Hunter E. (GM): I like that idea
2601. Tracy G.: and use the chat to RP as characters?
  2602. Michael D.: OOC?
2603. 41-VEX: ooh, I like that idea too
2604. Hunter E. (GM): out of character
2605. Tracy G.: Thatw ould make it easier to figure out when we're in charac and ooc if we forget to do the /ooc
  2606. 41-VEX: that is brilliant
  2607. Michael D.: aye
2608. Hunter E. (GM): that is an excellent idea, I really like it
  2609. Michael D.: me too
2610. Hunter E. (GM): Tracy and I would just need to figure out our video difficulties
2611. Tracy G.: Yeah. We'd ahve to get on early to iron that out.
2612. Hunter E. (GM): or we could use a video conferencing site, like the one George suggested
2613. Tracy G.: Video conferencing is a good idea too
2614. Michael D.: and also one session for sure at DBGC
  2615. Hunter E. (GM): Oh, absolutely :)
  2616. Tracy G.: Yes!
2617. Hunter E. (GM): although the focus of DBGC is board games, so I don't want to use up too much time for RPGs unless there's a high demand for it
2618. At the time, I am only planning one session
2619. 41-VEX: indeed. Also, during the summer, I will be using a different computer (and sometimes unavailable. maybe we could say that my bot was powered down during those sessions)? I am going to Iceland on June 19 to 24, then in Dublin and other places in Ireland until Aug. 6th ... but I should be able to get online from Dublin
2620. Michael D.: maybe after closing time?
2621. Hunter E. (GM): If someone else would like to lead a session as a GM, I would support that and help as much as I can
2622. There is no closing time at DBGC lol
2623. except when the deaf club kicks us out
  2624. 41-VEX: :)
  2625. Michael D.: Lol yeah
2626. Hunter E. (GM): I'm not super strict about schedules
2627. Tracy G.: I'd be interested in trying my hand out as a GM for a different RPG.
2628. Hunter E. (GM): I would need the time to prepare anyway
  2629. Tracy G.: Maybe VTM.
  2630. 41-VEX: VTM?
2631. Hunter E. (GM): It is very commonplace for sessions to happen with several weeks in between
2632. Tracy G.: Vampire: The Maserquade.
2633. I'm not fond of VTR (Vampire, the Requim, takes place after VTM)
  2634. 41-VEX: ah, gotcha
2635. Hunter E. (GM): Michael, I am still looking for BtL books!
  2636. Because now i'm interested :)
2637. Tracy G.: It's by White Wolf Publishing, they have a different series, and that one is from Chronicles of Darkness.
  2638. Michael D.: BtL?
2639. Hunter E. (GM): If you want to lead a session, go for it!
2640. Tracy G.: they have vampire, werewolf, mage, promethean, changeling, hunter, geist, and mummy.
2641. Hunter E. (GM): Beyond the Loop lol
  2642. Tracy G.: Dark gothic.
2643. Hunter E. (GM): Sounds like a good combination of DnD characters with gothic elements!
  2644. 41-VEX: cool. I'd be down :)
2645. Michael D.: ooh Tales from the Loop
2646. Hunter E. (GM): Damn, yeah that's what I meant
2647. Michael D.: sure, II ll share ithe pdf with u
  2648. Hunter E. (GM): O:
2649. you have the pdf lol
2650. you can share it under the tutorial drive
2651. which I guess I will now have to rename lol
2652. since everyone is done with the tutorial
2653. Tracy G.: Sweet. I'll hunt down the pdfs of the books and see if I can find VTM books. They're rare and hard to find. I only have a couple.
2654. 41-VEX: Thanks again, all! This was super fun
2655. Hunter E. (GM): Would you guys be okay with bringing this chat to the larger group?
  2656. Tracy G.: Yep!
2657. Hunter E. (GM): so the other two guys don't feel left out
2658. Michael D.: just uploaded the TFL on the SW drive you shared with us so everyone can see it
2659. Hunter E. (GM): excellent, thanks!
2660. 41-VEX: yes, you can copy the whole chat and I think people would get a kick out of it :)
2661. Hunter E. (GM): I think Michael B said he was planning on chronicling their adventure
  2662. Tracy G.: Yesss!
