Kirsch's Part 1 Adventure by Taiboo

Kirsch: Sorry, Kadoc! We're in the middle of talking but suddenly wyverns!

Kadoc: Hah!? Right after defeating a Servant!? My mana and stamina's all spent!

Kirsch: Oh, is that so? I still have some to spare, though.

Kadoc: Yes, yes, that's right! Must be so nice to have so many magical circuits as an elite! Dammit, what's with that amount of wyverns... they're even blotting out the sky, what kinda freaking joke is this? Even shitty Hollywood movies aren't this bad! What can only two Masters do against this...!

Kirsch: You're absolutely right! Since they're French, they should be doing a more sentimental genre!

Kadoc: I don't need your lame jokes either! There's no need to try and force yourself to match my interests! ...Why are you sulking, I'm the one who should be sulking! Anyway let's run! Hinako: ....Being bad with flowing water is for the Western that. In the first place, that has nothing to do with me. Even if I wasn't that, I'm not this either. I'm just a mage. A Master. That's how its been so far, hasn't it? ...I thought you'd noticed from long before, though. Why did you stop hiding that you did?

Kirsch: You're overestimating me there. I didn't know. I really didn't know. I knew you had a secret, but to think it would be... that. I only knew about that in this singularity. It came as a shock. Kirsch: ...My apologies. Indeed, I should not speak so much of a lady's secret. Maybe it's because this singularity is so much more open than the ones before... I couldn't help but feel more free...

Kirsch: Even London has become a singularity. The Mages' Association has been blown away too. Luckily, there are no abnormalities beneath the Clock Tower. What do you think of this mist, Beryl?

Beryl: It's not a cursed mist. This here is a poison of science. Is there some massive boiler somewhere? It's the age of the Industrial Revolution, right? It's an era that'd be the natural enemy of my mom. The forests which were home just became smaller and more inhospitable.

Kirsch: What about you? Anything off about your magic circuits?

Beryl: Ya! Thanks for noticing! Dont' worry, it's nothing serious. My mom's the one which hates the consumerist society. I'm fine with this. Rather than relying on troublesome magecraft, I'd really rather just tidy things up with a pistol.

Kirsch: That's right. I agree with that opinion. Although on the condition that it's an opponent that guns are effective against.

Beryl: ...Yeah, that's right. This place is just full of ghosts and automata. Can't be helped. I'll be a serious mage here. Time to search the underground subway, Kirsch. The bad guys usually have their lairs underground. Let's crush them and move on quickly. But, well, I'll be doing the following. After all, you're my partner. I was pretty shocked when I found out the entire team was wiped out, but hey, if you're here then it'll work out. But be careful, okay~? I'm weak and whimsical. Kirsch: Crossing the American continent... that alone makes it the most difficult singularity so far... I wish we had a jetplane... actually, I wouldn't mind even if it was just a helicopter...

Pepe: Stop being so spoiled. We haven't even walked 300 km, you know? We'll reach town soon, so let's procure a car there. Would be great if we got a truck or something. I wonder if we could.

Kirsch: You really have healthy legs, Peperoncino. Is it one of the six supernormal knowledges of Shugendo, the ability to walk freely on earth, sea or land? There's a limit to the support I can get from magecraft. Body enhancement wasn't designed for running a marathon.

Pepe: Myourenji. Myourenji Arou. I said it was fine for you to call me by my real name, didn't I, Kirschtaria? It's the least I could do as a gesture of respect for you, who did such a thing.

Kirsch: ...Is that also one of the powers of Shugendo?

Pepe: Yeah, the ability to read the hearts of others. In my case, I can only differentiate by colours, but... Pepe: Maybe I can be of assistance until the end? ...Yeah. If I could, that'd be wonderful. But I'm sorry. Another of the powers I learnt from Shugendo is the ability to be aware of one's own life span. When my life will end. And that power is telling me "it's impossible to go till the end".

Kirsch: I see. So you were always observing. While fitting in with the team in Chaldea, you were always perfunctory to me. I found that quite strange. Why would you, always nice to others, be so cold to me?

Pepe: Don't make that face. I'm the one who should be sorry. I don't know how many times you've done this, but everyone else dropped out on the way, didn't they? And so after that, you finished it on your own. I'm sure you'll do that this time, too. Even after I'm dead, crying while heading all the way to the end.

Pepe: That's why I want you to know my real name. For me, this journey may be just like a dream, something that doesn't exist when I awaken.
