Once the jets stopped firing, they tried flying quickly through the enraged
monster’s path to distract him, but his frenzied eyes glistened with anger. A
beam of white-hot light shot out of his mouth.
In an instant, the jets were enveloped in flame. They tumbled once, then
twice through the sky and fell into the sea, sending up a big, white splash as
