~Country vs Corporations~

I was once asked the difference about Country and Corporations.
Countries can be big and are made out of many many people that make them.
A country is nothing without it's people, it's culture and it's past.

Likewise, a Corporation can be big and are made out of many many people.
A corporation cannot be by itself, it needs the people that invest on it and feed it.

A corporation has rulers. They have a board of things and a CEO that rules them with an iron fist.
A country has them too, a Parliament, a King, a President or even a group of people who sit and think.
They are very similar, you see? The Corporation with the Nation.

So, what's wrong if they are the same?

If Corporations and Nations are made out of people, what's wrong with the first?
Just see what they both do in the case of:

*War:

Nations go to battle. They bleed and they die. They get conquered, they get destroyed, reconstructed or simply left off.

Corporations, as long as they don't loose money, they stay perfectly fine. In fact, many of these corporations fight so they ARE wars! After all, they need to sell munitions!


*Natural Disasters:

Nations suffer and go in pain. They bleed sometimes too. They try to care for their people as much as they can, for nobody deserves such sufferment.

Corporations, as long as they don't loose money, they stay perfectly fine. They LOVE these sort of situations so they can show the world how much they care, even if it's only for tax refunds.


In sports events, Nations cheer for their people while Corporations stamp them with their logos so they sell more.

In concerts, Nations love to listen to music while Corporations rejoice at the price of over-the-top tickets

In charity, Nations give because they want to help, Corporations because they wish a tax cut

TV is a a diversion for Nations, while Coporations brainwash and control and sell.


Nations are people, like you and all. They have souls and hearts and morals to preach.
Corporations are made of people but the more they are in the top, the more they forget their place in this world, as they wish to become kings.

And the biggest difference: Corporations will HURT the nation they came from, just to obtain more benefits and cash. Corporations feed on cash and are heartless.

So when you go and fight against each other, due to different ideals and ways of life, stop and reflect: you are being human.
Nations are Human, regardless of the years they acumulate of life. They are always learning to be better.
Corporations just want your money, plain straight. They do not think in another thing. They'll sell themselves for it.


Think about it.
We are the people for the people.
Not for money.
