An out-of-the-box (OOTB) installation of Kubuntu may encourage use of **Discover** – also known as *Software Center* – to seek, find and install software.

From [the release announcement for 16.04][1]:

Problem

With the *Search…* field of Discover:

- whatever you seek, nothing is found; nothing is *discovered*.
