>The Origin and Evolution of The Irkens/Noyngs

Irkens evolved from wingless insectoids possessing reptilian features, prehistoric Irkens were never carnivorous creatures as they fed on a plant similar to sugar cane which resulted in the modern Irken’s diet consisting entirely of sugar and refined carbs and an inability to properly digest any other kind of food, meat and legumes for example actually being highly toxic to them, even the blood/juices from meat has acidic qualities to their sensitive skin.

However, even as prehistoric creatures just taking their first steps in evolution, Irkens were very territorial and bloodthirsty creatures possessing levels of speed and durability beyond any other creature on prehistoric Irk, that combined with their bladed antenna that cuts through flesh and bone like butter, by the time they evolved into their equivalent of human Neanderthals, nearly all other animal life on Irk went extinct. Stone Age Irkens were all very tall and lanky, somewhat resembling the modern Tallests, some taller then others and height was seen as a sign of strength and superiority, something that modern Irkens regressed to.

The tallest of the Irkenderthals were clan leaders. Males kept the bladed, scythe-like antenna from their ancestors while females evolved to have more curled antenna used to attract males, the curliness of the antenna being oddly arousing to male Irkenderthals. Males were the foragers and providers of Stone Age Irkenkind while females reared their children, however, despite taking the roles of stay-at-home mothers, Stone Age females were still considerably stronger and more vicious then males, so much so that most males feared their mates and did everything they commanded. Males used their bladed antenna to not only hunt but for construction purposes, using their antenna to cut material such as bone, wood and cloth to construct tools, clothing and even fortified huts, the Irkens being craftsman and carpenters by nature it seems.

Thousands of years down their evolutionary line when Irkens would start to rely more on technology (which was particularly early compared to other developing alien races thanks to the Irken’s highly developed minds) the male’s bladed antenna started to regress, becoming thinner and less sharp due to centuries of non-use as they started to rely more and more on their inventions doing the job for them. It was during this time where Irkens became less savage and more refined and intelligent, leading to the first steps in the development of their culture, the golden age of Irkenkind.

The Age of The Noyng.

>The Noyngs

Hundreds of thousands of years ago Irkens, back when they were known as the Noyngs had a culture very similar to Feudal Japan, both aesthetically and culturally and the Tallests acted as their emperors. This was the pinnacle age for the Irken race as they were also in their prime biologically. They were also a moderately peaceful race compared to how they are now but they were known to fight back if they had to and they were highly revered for their impressive and revolutionary war strategies and techniques in battle. They highly valued honor and respect whether it would be towards the Tallests, teachers or other Noyngs of higher power and they had specific practices and ceremonies to show said respect to one another. The one aspect of Noyng culture that has stayed consistent even during modern Irken age is that Noyng's that were taller then others were highly respected and those that were the tallest were designated as the leaders of their entire race, though now this has been corrupted as Irkens who are shorter then others are now seen as inferior and are stigmatized for it which is something that would never happen during Noyng age. Many Noyng Age practices and parts of their culture have either been corrupted or forgotten completely by Modern Irken society.

Side Note: Noyngs/Irkens are one of the oldest species in the galaxy.

>Lacerators: The Irken Samurai

One of the most significant aspects of Noyng culture are the powerful, sword-wielding warriors startlingly similar to Earth Samurai that had similar practices and history, these warriors were known as Lacerators. Much like samurai, Lacerators were trained swordsman that fought with honor; never to resort to cheating or foul play and to be completely loyal to their masters and to them alone. Unlike Earth Samurai though, Lacerators were more like the more romanticized versions of samurai as they were revered as heroes and protectors of the innocent that would never raise their swords to defenseless people or unarmed foes, unlike actual samurai who would do so of their masters demanded it of them. Though they were ruthless and fatal in battle, Lacerators were typically benign to citizens and other non-Lacerator Noyngs. Every Lacerator belonged to a specific clan and clans who crossed would almost always end in a bloody battle. Also unlike samurai which was dominantly a male practice, there were both male and female Lacerators equally. Tallest Miyuki herself was a Lacerator and one of the most highly skilled ones of her time before she became a Tallest.

Lacerators were distinguished by not only their swords but by their suits of power armor that were highly advanced for the time as it increased the wearer's physical attributes such as strength, speed, stamina etc. by ten fold. Though these suits of samurai power armor would now be considered laughably obsolete by modern Irken.

One of the most famous Lacerators was the legendary Zimtoichi who had a sword made by himself known as the Doombringer which was completely indestructible and could cut through other swords with ease. Zim has a similar name to Zimtoichi because during his incubation at the cloning facility Zimtoichi's name was picked from a random name generator and was corrupted to be Zim's own unique name, leaving out the "toichi" part. Despite having a part of his name, Zimtoichi is NOT the biological ancestor of Zim. Instead, Zim’s biological ancestor was a sugar farmer named Baka.

Side Note: Sugar was the Noyng's biggest and most valuable export much like with Feudal Japan and rice and was even the Noyng form of currency for the longest time before the creation of Monnies which has gone on to be the modern form of Irken currency.

>Tallest Miyuki and The Rise of The Irken Empire

Tallest Miyuki was the daughter of the last two Tallests that reigned during the last few centuries before the great collapse of their society. Miyuki is one of the last Irkens to be the biological offspring of two parents as this was before Irkens dropped sexual reproduction in favor of genetic cloning. Before becoming a Tallest, Miyuki trained under Grand Master Zayo, one of the greatest Lacerator masters who was also the leader of an all female clan known as the Eyelash clan (due to the eyelash-like membranes all female Irkens possess). Before Tallest Miyuki became the next Tallest (alongside Spork who was not related to her or her family but became a Tallest due to being the tallest Noyng alongside Miyuki) the great societal collapse of the Noyng has begun.

The Noyng's were not a perfect society by any means, The Noyng race had an issue with inbreeding, generations of nonstop inbreeding has caused genetically inferior offspring that were accessible to many diseases to be born. This was only the beginning of the Nyong race's problems as a mysterious string of organ failures started to sweep the entire planet and effected 90% of the Noyng race. The Noyng's have reached an evolutionary dead end and were about to die off, even the Tallests and the to-be Tallests Miyuki and Spork were also infected. Miyuki claimed her spot as ruler early and proposed radical changes in order to save her dying race.

The technology used to make Lacerator power armor was re-purposed to make the first generation of P.A.K.s which were created to act as life support systems for the Noyngs, attaching to the base of their spines and artificially keeping their organs alive and functioning. The P.A.K.s were a massive success and all Irkens including the Tallests had one. Not only did these P.A.K.s keep the Noyng's organs functioning but it even increased their lifespan by thousands of years, previous to P.A.K.s the typical Noyng lived for about one to two hundred years.

Although the P.A.K.s were a massive success and Miyuki was praised for her quick thinking, the Noyngs still had a issue with breeding. The Noyng race became infertile and were unable to reproduce due to the combined effects of the rampant organ failures and inbreeding. It was here that Miyuki reached out to their then-allies, the Vortians to develop and introduce cloning technology and designer smeets (babies), recycling Noyng DNA, mixing it together and incubating them in cloning chambers. These designer Smeets were stronger and healthier then their predecessors. It was here that P.A.K.s were re-purposed to essentially being the Smeet's second and dominant brain, holding all of the Smeet's qualities such as personality, knowledge, bodily functions etc. The P.A.K became such a huge necessity that Noyng's wouldn't even be able to function without it, dropping like lifeless puppets upon having it detached from their spine.

Although the Nyong race made a sharp turn and was no longer in threat of extinction their sensitive situation has made them a target for many alien races looking to expand their empire or use their planet in some way such as in the case of the Planet Jackers. The Noyng people have now started to rely on their leaders even more then usual and Miyuki was not going to go down without a fight, it is here where she started to make drastic changes that would change the way her race functioned.

Tallest Miyuki started to pour in all Noyng resources and technology into weapon production and military training, to the point of training the next three generations of Noyng's into skilled soldiers. New powerful weaponry such as firearms, new gen power armor and airships was being developed in Miyuki's image with immense Vortian assistance.

S.I.R. units, which were originally designed as personal helpers and maids built from wood and clockwork technology were now re-purposed into unstoppable war machines and assistants to soldiers to use in battle and espionage. Even P.A.K.s have become weaponized, outfitted with robotic spider legs for enhanced maneuverability and hand-to-hand combat and an arsenal of built-in firearms.

It was soon after their first war against an enemy race (which the Noyngs won) where they introduced The Control Brains, a super-advanced string of unique A.I. connected by a collective of cybernetic matrices that would oversee everything from planet security to Smeet breeding, each Brain looking over a particular area. This way, even more concentration on weapon production, scientific research and military training could be met by Miyuki while the brains took care of everything else, Tallest Miyuki now becoming obsessed with protecting and preserving her race.

Years after their first global war against an enemy race and the creation of The Control Brains, Tallest Miyuki had her entire race renamed "Irken" to strike fear into the hearts of all life in the galaxy and to show that they are a threat not to be trifled with. Their planet which was previously nameless was now called Planet Irk. It was a huge blow to Miyuki to all but erase her entire culture, she feels she has disgraced her kind and lost all of her honor, Lacerator culture was all but forgotten as it was now seen as an obsolete form of combat and not useful enough to protecting the Noyng race and their planet. Despite the emotionally crippling circumstances she had to keep face for the sake of her kind.

Miyuki became more paranoid and tyrannical as time went on, eventually she developed a mindset that all of Irken society will surely collapse if she's not in charge. Miyuki had Spork and herself augmented to become taller and all of the Snacks (a major part of an Irken diet) laced with a special growth suppressant that would stunt the growth of all Irkens who consume it on a daily basis, making her and Spork unopposed for a very, very long time.

>The Modern Irken Empire

Miyuki and Spork have been the Tallests for about three thousand years now and the Irken race has fully transitioned into the highly militarized, consumerist society that values combat and conquest above everything else. It's due to this that the Irken race became stir crazy as the majority of the galaxy has grown wise to not trying to mess with the Irken. It is here where Tallest Miyuki introduced the concept of conquering entire planets and expanding the Irken empire on a galactic scale, this was known as Project Impending Doom.

After Impending Doom was announced Miyuki was besides herself, she couldn't bare the weight of being supreme leader of her planet and people any longer, let alone an empire that expanded several planets. Tallest Miyuki has then decided to program all leadership duties into The Brain. It was at this point where The Control Brains controlled absolutely everything and Tallests Miyuki and Spork (and soon to be Red & Purple) were reduced to figureheads. Miyuki was fine with this, growing despondent with being leader and now more then happy to just stand around, look pretty and eating snacks. Spork never really did anything so things hasn't really changed for him.

It's also at this point where Zim, Skoodge and soon-to-be Tallests Red and Purple were already "born" and have started their military training. However due to their impressive heights (as a result of their high Irken vitality balancing out the effects of the growth retardant-laced snacks), Red and Purple graduated early and were picked up by Tallests Miyuki and Spork to start their Tallest training, the now nihilistic and jaded Miyuki looking to just finally retire.

However, all that Red and Purple were taught was to "look like you know what you were doing and let The Brains do the rest". Zim went on to graduate but after being seen as not competent enough to be an invader he was put on scientist duty and was re-programmed with vast scientific knowledge and inventing prowess. This only spelled disaster as Zim created an Infinite Energy Absorbing Blob that seemingly devoured both Tallests Miyuki and Spork, with Miyuki and Spork dead, Red and Purple were rushed into "leadership".

Due to the Infinite Energy Absorbing Blob absorbing everything including space and time itself before collapsing upon itself, nobody remembered neither Miyuki or Spork, all data on Miyuki and Spork's existence was even erased from The Control Brains' systems. Zim was the only one who remembered as he was the only one who witnessed the event personally as he was presenting his unstoppable bio-weapon to the Tallests for approval to use in Impending Doom. With the previous Tallests gone both physically and from memory, Red and Purple were rushed into "leadership" with no question.

Zim was left absolutely distraught for being inadvertently responsible for the destruction of Miyuki, his favorite Tallest and him being the only one who actually remembered her only amplified his soul crushing guilt. Zim’s guilt jumpstarted his need to prove himself and his overzealous nature and confidence was a product of his subconscious desire to make up for his horrible mistake (despite no one knowing it was his fault) and began trying his hardest to prove he is the mightiest Irken of them all and worthy of redemption in Miyuki’s eyes. After repeated failures and mistakes in Irk's scientific research facility Zim was banned from scientific research and was reprogrammed to be an invader by The Brain, believing he could put his destructive behavior to good use... which lead to Zim single handily ruining Project Impending Doom with his incompetence and eagerness to prove his worth. The Brain decided to get rid of Zim by re-programming again only this time as a Food Drone (fast food worker).

>Where Are They Now?: Tallest Miyuki

Professor Membrane, the greatest scientific mind the planet Earth has ever known and he was only in his early twenties. It was at this time where Professor Membrane has already invented advanced thinking A.I., gave himself energy manipulation and laser powers through genetic augmentation and discovered the secret to time travel. Most considered Membrane a mad scientist despite his contributions to society. Membrane was a heavy recluse that mostly worked alone. Alone he was while he was working on his next scientific project of SCIENCE! A Teleportation Watch that allowed the user to teleport virtually anywhere without limit. While testing the device (after fixing the bugs that turned all the monkeys into smoldering puddles of charred meat) An unforeseen malfunction caused Membrane to be teleported to Planet Irk where he encountered a tall green woman being attacked by a giant blob-like creature. Membrane, for the firs time in his life didn't think twice as he sprang into action. He rescued the tall green woman in the last minute and teleported back to earth with her in his arms.

It was back in his lab where Membrane finally noticed that the woman he saved was indeed an alien, he was surprised but not shocked or amazed since he always had a hunch that life existed on other planets and he was ALWAYS right. Miyuki thanked the strange yet handsome pink-skinned humanoid for saving her life but requested to go back, unfortantely a malfunction in the watch completely erased the coordinates to planet Irk, making it impossible to go back. Miyuki was distraught, now light years away from her planet and on a mysterious planet filled with strange, primitave creatures. Membrane was a complete ignoramous when it came to the opposite sex, let alone the opposite sex of an alien race but he knew she was upset and he wanted to help her.

Miyuki and Membrane got to know each other as Membrane asked her questions about her kind and their technology, science and culture. Miyuki also had questions about Membrane and the humans. Over time the two developed a purely scientific relationship. Miyuki created a human disguise for herself so that she could live among the humans with "Membrane's assistant" as her cover. Miyuki and Membrane worked together on many projects, it is with Miyuki's vast knowledge in science that helped Membrane on his first few steps at making Super Toast, a project he's been rearing since he was a child. As time went on Miyuki and Membrane's relationship became anything but professional. The two fell madly in love, Membrane was smitten by her impressive scientific knowledge and exotic nature while Miyuki was equally in love with his impressive mind but found his height very attractive too, he was almost taller then her even! Lewd!

The scientific couple decided they wanted children, to start a family... of SCIENCE! The two "got busy" but nothing happened, it was then Miyuki was reminded of her species' infertile nature. Miyuki explained the situation to Membrane but he was never one to give up, Membrane proposed splicing their genes; to take the best aspects of each other to make the perfect hybrid children. The two immediately went to work. After nine months of genetic engineering the couple has done it, two half-human, half-irken designer babies, they were both given traditional Nyong names, Dib and Gaz. The two couldn't be happier, however due to an organization started by demons to combat aliens and monitor alien activity on Earth known as The FBI, Miyuki had to go into hiding and Membrane had to raise their hybrid children alone. Miyuki hid herself away in a small space station just on the edge of the Milky Way where she and Membrane are in contact with each other from a safe distance. Membrane gives Miyuki near constant updates on their children and sometimes works on projects together every now and again. Although Miyuki would love to reunite with her children and "husband" she can't endanger herself or her children. Miyuki's love for Membrane, her children and her new home, the Earth motivated her to hack into Irken systems and remove the Earth from Irken Starmaps so that her conquest hungry race would never endanger her new home. Membrane feigned ignorance to the existence of alien life and proclaimed to the public that it wasn’t scientifically feasible in order to cover for his beloved Miyuki, he even had to shrug off his son’s claims of aliens and tried to direct him towards REAL SCIENCE to keep Miyuki safe and her existence to their children a secret until the time was right.

Maybe one day Miyuki can return to Earth if the situation demands it like if she got word that an Irken and his defective S.I.R. unit has invaded Earth and works to take it over... like that would ever happen!
