  3. GAMING NIGHT AT THE HOTEL
  4.
  5. Here's the beginning of the list of games you wanted the staff to play:

  14. >Civilization (which?)
  15. >Mario Party (Hotel 6)
  16. >Battlefield (4? 1? 1942?)
  17. >Resident Evil 1 & 2 (remakes?)

  29.
  30. And there's many more!
  31. -
  32. We'll get as far as we get with this...
  33. There's LOADS more...
  34.
  35. But anyways, let's begin.
  36.
  37.
  38. >it started as an experiment, of sorts...
  39. >they wanted to gauge their reactions
  40. >it was easy to set up the room: one chair, a table, a computer, some drinks and snacks...
  41. >all they needed now...
  42.
  43. >...were the subjects
  44.
  45.
  46. >CHARLIE
  47. >"So, what are we going to do?"
  48.
  49. >VAGGIE
  50. >"What did you guys want again?"
  51.
  52. >ANGEL
  53. >"A game?"
  54.
  55. >ALASTOR
  56. >"How thrilling!"
  57.
  58. >HUSK
  59. >"What kinda game are we talking about?"
  60.
  61. >NIFFTY
  62. >"Oooooh, do I get to play on the com-pu-ter? Alastor wouldn't let me on one after the, uh, "Hellhub fiasco"... Didn't think it would drive Asmodeus to tears..."
  63.
  64. >KATIE
  65. >"I hope you realize I'm not getting paid for this, so this better be good!"
  66.
  67. >TOM
  68. >"...Let's begin."
  69.
  70.
  71. GAME 1:
  72. "We Become What We Behold"
  73. -
  74. >Charlie
  75. >"Warning: the following program contains scenes of snobbery..."
  76.
  77. >Vaggie
  78. >"...rudeness, and..."
  79.
  80. >Angel
  81. >"...mass murder"? OK, my type of game!"
  82.
  83. >Alastor
  84. >"Viewer discresion is advised..." I wonder why?"
  85.
  86. >Husk
  87. >"Looks like shit. Let's get on with it."
  88.
  89. >Niffty
  90. >"Sounds like fun!"
  91.
  92. >Katie
  93. >"A flash game. Really? Off to a great start, I see..."
  94.
  95. >Tom
  96. >"Nice Droste effect on that screen... Wonder if it means something."
  97.
  98.
  99. START
  100.
  101. >Charlie: "OK, camera... Big screen... I think I got this!"
  102. >Vaggie: "Looks gray."
  103. >Angel: "Squares and Circles... WhAt DoEs It MeAn?"
  104. >Alastor: "..."
  105. >Niffty: "Ooooh... WhatdoIdo? WhatdoIdo?!"
  106. >Husk: "Yup. Still shit."
  107. >Katie: "So I just gotta take pictures of hashtag-worthy shit, right? Simple enough."
  108. >Tom: "..."
  109.
  110.
  111. Man in the Hat
  112.
  113. >Charlie: "Ooooh, fancy!"
  114. >Vaggie: "Looks rich."
  115. >Angel: "Why, hello there!" *snaps picture* Oh, apparently, that was newsworthy! Wee, look at them go! Hats are in, folks!
  116. >Alastor: "A fine fellow... I shall take a picture, of those whiskers..." *clicks* "Oh! It appears I've set a new trend!"
  117. >Husk: "Rich guy in a hat... Great." *click* "Huh... Yeah, bowlers are OK."
  118. >Niffty: "Ooooh, he looks important!" *clicks accidentally* Whoops! WhatdidIdo?! ...Oh. Oh! Oooooh! Right, that's what I gotta do! Neat!"
  119. >Katie: "He looks different." *clicks* "...So, that's it? Hats are in? Meh..."
  120. >Tom: "..." *clicks* "...Wait, there's a couple, here."
  121.
  122. Cont.
  123. -
  124. The Couple
  125.
  126. >Charlie: "Awww, the square and the circle are in love!"
  127. >Vaggie: "Cute."
  128. >Angel: "Interracial? Dunno what the big hubbub about that is these days, but Val was making a fortune on it when I left..."
  129. >Alastor: *raises an eyebrow, clicks, laughs at the response*
  130. >Husk: "Heh... Hippies." *clicks, is mildly surprised, but laughs* Yeah, get a room, freaks!
  131. >Niffty: *randomly clicks around, snapping a pic of the cricket* LIL' CRICKY! *notices all the other crickets* AAH! BUGS! *snaps a picture of the couple by accident* Huh? Oooooh...
  132. >Katie: "Ech. Of course THIS has to come around. Oh well... Celebrity gossip, and whatnot. *clicks, momentarily surprised by the response, then laughs* Oh, this is rich! I'm gonna LOVE this!"
  133. >Tom: *clicks on couple, watches the TV screen* "...Wait, who's shouting?"
  134.
  135.
  136. The Crazed Square
  137.
  138. >Charlie: *notices shouting square* "OH! He's... Loud..."
  139. >Vaggie: "Looks like a troublemaker."
  140. >Angel: "Why so mad, lil' guy?"
  141. >Alastor: "Ah. A Punk! I though they went extinct, but apparently not!"
  142. >Husk: "All he needs is a drafting letter. The base barber would get rid of that cockscomb, and the officers, that attitude."
  143. >Niffty: "Why is he so mad? What's with his hair? Is he angry about his hair? Why is he hunched over? Does his back hurt? Is he shouting in pain? Why is he randomly approaching others? Are they chiropractors?"
  144. >Katie: "Huh. Punk's not dead, apparently, and it's just as angry as before..." *clicks* "Crazed Square Attacks!" Oh, this is going to be good!"
  145. >Tom: "..." *clicks*
  146. -
  147. Aggregation
  148.
  149. >Charlie: "Oh, he seems afraid!" *sees circle run away from a random square* Yup, definitely spooked*
  150. >Vaggie: "Come on, you shouldn't be afraid just because ONE square got a bit mad!" *sees circle run away from random square* ...Damnit, what did I just say?!
  151. >Angel: "Heh, look at him scurry! *clicks* "Circle Fears Squares!" Well, I guess that's true..."
  152. >Alastor: "Seems like this square gent isn't impressed by the quality of the news. Maybe I should--OH! He did something! Interesting... *clicks* Ah, just missed it!"
  153. >Husk: "..." *waits for the right moment, clicks* "Looks good enough... Huh? "Square Snubs Circles?" Oh boy, here we go..."
  154. >Niffty: "Well, that wasn't very nice! OH! Seems like it made someone angry! He turned red with anger? Or is that communism? Have I turned him into a commie?! ...No, he just keeps shouting at others... Everyone does that... *clicks*
  155. >Katie: *clicks* "Circles HATE Squares!" Oh, NOW we're getting somewhere!"
  156. >Tom: *clicks* "...Now it just made a bunch of squares angry."
  157.
  158.
  159. Escalation
  160.
  161. >Charlie: "Oh no! They keep getting angrier! And they keep shouting at each other! Where should I click?!"
  162. >Vaggie: *clicks on couple pacifying the crazed square* "Who tunes in just watch people get alo--Oh, go fuck yourself!"
  163. >Angel: "Awww, they gave him a hat!" *click* "What? Oh, come on!"
  164. >Alastor: "More and more of them seem to be turning red, wherever I snap a photo! How exciting!"
  165. >Husk: "OK, this is getting out of hand... Oh, look, the hippies are back. ...Yeah, could do with some peace marches right now..." *click* "What are they--I DON'T KNOW, what the fuck are you doing?!"
  166. >Katie: *clicks* "It's like I'm printing money!" *clicks on couple* "..."Peace is boring. Violence goes Viral." ...Yup. Ain't that the truth..." *continues clicking, less enthusiastically*
  167. >Tom: *clicks* "Almost everyone hates everyone..." *clicks* "...Everyone hates everyone... Oh, the hatted fellow's back!"
  168.
  169. Cont.
  170. -
  171. The Brink
  172.
  173. >Charlie: "God, everyone's red with anger! There has to be a way to fix this!" *clicks on couple, reads description* "...SCREW YOU!"
  174. >Vaggie: "At least the shouty guy calmed down... Hey, isn't that the rich guy from before?"
  175. >Angel: *clicks* "Haven't you heard? Hat's are out!" No, as a matter of fact, I haven't. I was too busy being deafened by all the shouty red perps."
  176. >Alastor: "The mustachioed gent seems very intent in his pace... He's hopping right up to the pacified buffoon from before..."
  177. >Husk: "...The fuck is he doing here?"
  178. >Niffty: "Heey, the fancy man is back! Think he will sort out this mess? Look, he's walking up to the shouty man from before! I'm sure this'll all end well!"
  179. >Katie: "Yeah, yeah, fun's over... Gotta admit, I expected more from this game... ...Why is he just standing there?"
  180. >Tom: "...Is that a gun?"
  181.
  182.
  183. Trepidation
  184.
  185. >Charlie: *gasps*
  186. >Vaggie: *stares, wide-eyed*
  187. >Angel: *wide eyed* "Oh shit."
  188. >Alastor: *raises both eyebrows*
  189. >Husk: *raises eyebrows* "..."
  190. >Niffty: *wide-eyed* "Oh no."
  191. >Katie: *wide eyed, blinking*
  192. >Tom: "..."
  193. -
  194. *BANG!*
  195.
  196. >Charlie: "...Oh, no. No, nononononono!" *clicks everywhere*
  197. >Vaggie: "..:Shit." *clicks on the corpse* "..."Be scared, be ang--" NO!"
  198. >Angel: "...Shit, that escalated quickly." *clicks* "Be scared. be angry!" ...Aaaand, look at them go."
  199. >Alastor: *still wide eyed, stares at the unfolding chaos on the screen*
  200. >Husk: "Fucking Hell, this went outta hand real fast! Where the fuck are those hippies?! Did they bolt? Figures, they wouldn't last long this--!" *clicks accidentally* "No! Shit! ..."Be scared, be angry!" ...What the fuck?!"
  201. >Niffty: *studded silence, absentmindedly clicks on the screen, becomes more horrified as she reads the new caption, before suddenly jerking into a maniacal grin, begins clicking in reckless abandon*
  202. >Katie: *stunned silence, before gathering herself, and clicking again* "...Be Scared, Be Angry!"...." *continues to sit in silence*
  203. >Tom: "..." *clicks a couple of times, before noticing something* "...Is it zooming out? ...Oh! We're looking at a laptop!"
  204.
  205.
  206. Aftermath
  207.
  208. >Charlie: *knees tucked against chest, quietly sobbing*
  209. >Vaggie: *notably peeved* God damn it! Good fucking damn it!
  210. >Angel: "...Shit, that escalate quickly..."
  211. >Alastor: *finally shaken from his stupor* "...Is that really all it takes these days? To get people so irate they'd kill?" *smirks* "...Gotta hand it to Vox, he knows what he's doing... Brusque as it is."
  212. >Husk: *notably peeved* Damn it, I should've fucking known you shits would set me up like this!" *throws off earphones, storms out of the room*
  213. >Niffty: *grinning broadly, and twitching slightly* "That was FUN! Can I do it again?! Can I, Can I, Can I?!"
  214. >Katie: *still sitting in silence, watching the ending scene with the memorial and the candles, before nodding, and clicking on the couple* "..." *sits for a couple of seconds, as if wanting to say something, before she just takes of the headphones, and walks out of the room*
  215. >Tom: "..."We shape our tools, and then our tools shape us." Huh."
  216.
  217. END
  218. -
  219. OK, so this format wasn't really working out.
  220. For the rest of the games, it'll return to the same format I had done "Movie Nights" in, with (most) of the entire gang being present, and giving their summary reaction to the games.
  221. ---
  222. >DEFCON (Hotel 6)
  223. Reactions to the game are mixed. While many of the staff are initially put off by the simple graphics, they are soon won over by the strategy element. Charlie picks Europe, Vaggie picks South America, Angel, Alastor, Husk and Niffty pick North America. As the game progresses, their jovial approach to it notable dissipates, giving way to tension, as they draw closer to DEFCON 1. By the end, most of them seem to be rather somber. Charlie and Vaggie look crestfallen, Angel still seems to trying to put together what happened, Al just begins playing "We'll meet again..." by Vera Lynn. Husk just grumbles incoherently, and drinks. Niffty takes it the worst, arguably, as she seems to shrink into her seat, and go catatonic.
  224. Gaming night is suspended for a week after the others find out about this.
  225. The anons collectively decide not to pressure the staff into playing games for a "social experiment" in the future.
  226.
  227. >The Neverhood Chronicles (Charlie)
  228. Hoping to cheer her up after the whole DEFCON thing, John and Stretch introduce Charlie to the Neverhood... She's pretty good at it, figuring out the puzzles on her own, having a laugh at the old animations, and is completely engrossed by the Hall of Records (causing "Gaming Night" to stretch well into the early morning).
  229. In the end, she's over the top for the game's happy ending (especially after nailbiter that is Big Robot Bil), though, she feels sorry for Klogg.
  230.
  231. >FNAF 1 (Hotel Trio)
  232. Vaggie's already familiar with the game (and the sprawling franchise), but Charlie and Angel go into it blind.
  233. While all three survive the first night, Angel gets jumped by Bonnie on the second. Charlie JUST manages to block Foxy on the third, but her power runs out, and she's scared by Freddy.
  234. Vaggie manages the first four nights without fail, only ending up being jumped by Foxy on the fifth night, before acing it.
  235. Angel quits after the fourth night, while Charlie quits after failing the fifth 10 times.
  236. -
  237. >Plague Inc: Evolved (Hotel Six)
  238. This time, it's only Charlie playing, with the others (and the anons) watching...
  239. ...But Gaming Night has to be cancelled again, when they realize that it is NOT, in fact, Plague Inc that Charlie's playing...
  240. ...Aaand then they get news of the Coronavirus outbreak in China.
  241. The anons then ask Lucifer why he has a program which runs exactly like a popular video game, has visual assets that are dead ringers to it, that causes pandemics on Earth.
  242. Lucifer... Has never heard of Plague Inc, and tells them he got the game from Azazel.
  243. Azazel is then promptly brought before the infernal court from plagiarism, copyright infringement...
  244. Oh, and the whole "having a hand in starting a new pandemic amidst an existing overpopulation crisis...
  245. Not fun times, overall.
  246.
  247. >Minecraft
  248. With the anons' help, Charlie creates a server for the Hotel, and Vaggie and Angel immediately join.
  249. While the girls set about building a base, Angel wanders around, and dies repeatedly after trying to jump on creepers.
  250. By the time the anons show up, he and Vaggie are engaged in a griefing war, and Charlie's on the verge of banning them from the server, especially after they destroy the base.
  251. Cue commotion from the hotel, and Angel disconnects from the game. They later find out that John, Chan and Stretch had beat him up. Apparently, they take Minecraft a tad more serious than others. Server's fine afterwards, and they let Angel join again, provided that he'll be on his best behavior.
  252. It's deemed a success, but many of the anons grow bored of it after a couple weeks.
  253.
  254. >Hunting Simulator (Alastor)
  255. In record time, he becomes completely engrossed in the game, and the anons leave him to his devices...
  256. One week later, they're forced to disconnect the power from Al's room, and have to shoot him with several tranquilizers to calm him down, so that they could throw him in a bath, while Niffty can clean and disinfect his room. Last time Al plays the game, ever.
  257. -
  258. >Elder Scrolls (Vaggie, Angel)
  259. Vaggie effectively guides Angel through the entire franchise. When asked about how and where she played these in post-civil-war El Salvador, she defensively states that she played them with Charlie.
  260. Angel's very enthusiastic about the entire series, and the two bond over it... Until Angel tries to seduce Sheogorath in Oblivion (and then later, Jyggalag).
  261.
  262. >Civilization 6 (Hotel 6)
  263. The anons are surprised to find out that Niffty has mastered the game behind everyone's back. The others seem to loose patience with the long game, aside from Charlie... Whom they literally have to drag away from the game, days later. But not before she somehow manages to go Nuclear with Ghandi... And proceeds to crash the game.
  264.
  265. >Battlefield 1
  266. While originally tempted to ask Tom and Katie to join, the staff and the anons decide against it.
  267. Most of them praise the game for the authentic atmosphere, but also berate it for the unrealistic elements, such as certain weapons, the colonial forces fighting in Europe, and the lack of Central Powers war stories.
  268. Alastor finds it interesting that the game begins with the perspective of the Harlem Hellfighters, and grows to LOVE the Martini-Henry in the game.
  269. Things get a heated between Angel (playing the Italians) and Stretch (playing Austria-Hungary) on the Caporetto battles.
  270. And then Vaggie owns everyone with the Trench Raider kit.
  271.
  272. >Resident Evil 1 & 2 (remakes, Husk and Alastor)
  273. While the anons struggle to explain the background plot of the games, Alastor and Husk struggle with the controls.
  274. After a lot of faffing about, Husk finally gets the hang of it, while Alastor just gives up.
  275. After 2, however, even the cat gives up - it just got too absurd for him.
  276.
  277. >Devil May Cry 3 (with an "EEnE" sound effects mod, Vaggie)
  278. She struggles to play the game from laughing too much, but eventually manages to block out the effects, and proves to be fairly good at it.
  279. The anons are impressed.
  280. -
  281. >Metro Series (Angel, Husk)
  282. On Bratislav's prompt, the two decide to try out the Metro games. Both are impressed with the atmosphere of the game, though Angel finds the stock sound effects to be a bit bland. Interestingly, neither of them tries to go for the "Hedge Hopper" achievement on the battlefield level, and Husk even saves the captured Red Line soldiers. Angel mourns Bourbon dearly after his death.
  283. In the end, Husk chooses to annihilate the dark ones, while Angel refuses.
  284. During the second game, however, both give Pavel a filter.
  285. While Angel ends up loving Exodus, Husk grows tired of the gathering mechanic.
  286. They both end up loving the series, though, much to Bratislav's joy (who read all the books).
  287.
  288. >Spec Ops: The Line (Husk)
  289. While Husk doesn't have a high opinion on shooter games (or video games, in general), he does enjoy shooters. He does enjoy The Line, though, especially after it takes a serious turn...
  290. ...Up until the white phosporous scene.
  291. He spends the rest of it in solemn silence, and doesn't give it any review, choosing to go out in a blaze of glory at the end.
  292. He also has trouble looking Sting and Bratislav in the eye for a day or so.
  293. --
  294. >Husk has one of his worst PTSD episodes after playing The Line
  295. >Specifically he's thrown back to whatever the fuck was his most traumatizing moment (napalm blasting an entire village and seeing the survivors writhe around or some shit)
  296. >Screaming in the middle of the night, blacking out for a few seconds, hallucinating, etc.
  297. >Hotel becomes a freaking war zone
  298. >Anytime Niffy enters to try and clean, Husk grabs her into a hug and starts apologizing through tears. She's only able to leave once the staff pry her out of his arms.
  299. >It takes the help of Husk's grandson and Tom to help calm his inner demons.
  300. --
  301. >TF2 (Hotel Staff, Baxter, 666 News, Cherri, Sir Pent)
  302. Rest in Peace, Rick May, you magnificent bastard.
  303. Once everyone managed to get into the same server, the battle quickly began, with everyone sticking for the same class throughout the session: Charlie playing Scout, Vaggie playing Spy, Angel playing Sniper (and always throwing jarate at Vaggie or Al, claiming it was "by accident"), Al playing Medic (and going full Battle Medic, being largely useless for the others), Niffty playing Pyro while Husk played Demoman, Baxter playing a proper Medic, whilst Katie and Tom became a Heavy-Medic team, Cherri played Soldier (after pulling straws with Husk over the two classes), and Sir Pent playing engineer (who proceeded to go full battle Engi after having his buildings blown up too many times).
  304. The anons played the opposing team.
  305. It was the most intense night in the Hotel's gaming history, but after several draws, both teams decided to just play MvM, and made it all the way to Wave 666... And then failed, and everyone quit from exhaustion...
  306. ...Especially after they noticed that they have been playing for 12 hours.
  307.
  308. >Left4Dead 1 and 2 (Hotel Trio, Alastor)
  309. Angel singlehandedly revived the "Pills" meme, playing Louis. Vaggie played Bill, Charlie played Francis, and Alastor wound up playing Zoey (and was mildly miffed about it, before having massive freakout after his first encounter with a Witch, which went about as expected as you'd think).
  310. Angel had a laughing fit in the second game (playing Ellis, this time) when they encountered a Charger, and tried to seduce a Smoker. Doing an Ellis impression. Charlie (playing Coach) and Vaggie (playing Nick) were not impressed, while Alastor (playing Rochelle) was missed at being forced to play the girl again.
  311. -
  312. >Dead Space (Charlie)
  313. Despite the anons practically begging her not to do it, Charlie decided to stream her playthrough of the game online.
  314. As in, a complete playthrough, in one sitting.
  315. Several hours of screaming and roaring later, the Princess of Hell was an online sensation on the level of a young Felix Kjellberg, which she then failed to capitalize on, when she went into a week-long "recovery period" after the game.
  316.
  317. >Silent Hill 1-4 (Vaggie, Katie, Tom and Angel)
  318. The two news anchor's arrival was rather unexpected, but given the downpour of acid rain (and the nearby smoldering wreck of a car), neither the staff nor the anons had any objections to them spending the night at the Hotel.
  319. Thus, Katie and Tom joined Angel and Vaggie, in their playthrough of the first four Silent Hill games.
  320. They all enjoyed it (albeit Katie was rather freaked out by some of the monsters' designs), but all of them complained about vivid nightmares, come the next day.
  321.
  322. >Garry's Mod/Prop Hunt/TTT
  323. The second large-scale gaming event of the Hotel had the anons, the Hotel Staff, Baxter, Sir Pent and Cherri first fuck about with Garry's mod (with Sir Pent failing to load the right assets, and thus, always appearing as a massive, floating "Error" sign - with the purple and black "missing texture" texture). The prop hunt went about as well as anyone expected, with the more mature members of the gang complaining that it was a glorified hide and seek. By the time "Trouble in Terrorist Town" was on the menu, everyone was just having fun without a care in the world - it was very therapeutic.
  324. They agreed to redo the event in the future, with even more people, if possible.
  325.
  326. >Dwarf Fortress (Niffty, Baxter)
  327. After getting Niffty hooked on Zork (a long tale for another time), Baxter decided to introduce her to Dwarf Fortress... To less-than-stellar results.
  328. After an hour of complaining about the graphics, the fishy scientist just abandoned the cyclops in frustration...

  330. >GTA: San Andreas (John, Stretch, Chan and Keys)
  331. The four anons decided to replay a childhood favorite of theirs, GTA: San Andreas... And collectively cringe at the janky graphics, before enabling cheat mode, and going on a mythos hunt across the map with jetpacks, and then move onto Vice City...
  332.
  333. >GTA 4 (Angel and Bratislav)
  334. On their request, Bratislav and Angel decided to give GTA 4 a go. They both enjoyed it greatly... Until Charlie found out about it, and decided to go full Jack Thomspon on the six of them (causing even Vaggie to cringe, as she tried to calm her down)
  335.
  336. >GTA 5 (Charlie)
  337. After blowing off some steam, Charlie decided to set an example, and do a "crime-free" session of GTA 5, starting as Trevor...
  338. ...Then moving onto Franklin...
  339. ...And finishing her attempt with Michael, at which point she gave up, bought herself a Rune Cheburek, and went on a joyride.
  340.
  341. >The Binding of Isaac
  342. Prompted by the anons, Vaggie and Angel decided to have a crack at the original game on Newgrounds.
  343. They had fun, with Angel primarily using the Anarchist Cookbook, while Vaggie preferring a more varied set-up, changing it whenever she could.
  344. Neither seemed shaken by the game's themes (but Alastor, watching over their shoulders, is - he's later found sobbing in the corner). Gospel just laughs it off.
  345.
  346. >Organ Trail
  347. Nobody manages to win, apart from Chan and Husk. Al's particularly frustrated by this.
  348.
  349. >Papers, Please
  350. Everyone in the hotel plays it in their free times for weeks on end, trying to unlock all 20 endings, and the get the highest scores in Endless Mode.
  351. As a result, they develop keen eyes for finding small details quickly... Which comes in hand when the gang decides to storm Hell's Document Office, and "streamline" it's bureaucracy, ending several centuries worth of needless paper pushing and faffing about in military fashion.
  352. -
  353. And that's it for now.
  354. I'm not going to do the rest of the list, because I feel like it stifles this thread.
  355. If you guys still happen to want more, just tell me.
  356. Otherwise, I'm ending it for now.
  357. -
  358. hey if you want to take a break, then do it.
  359.
  360. you can make more later on or something.
  361.
  362. btw one of the games I want to see on this is "OFF" a RPG game.
  363. -
  364. I can do that.
  365.
  366. >OFF (Hotel 6, Cherri, Baxter)
  367. A puzzling game for most of them, they're constantly befuddled by the game's odd, unnatural world and strange soundtrack. Odd references to demons they're familiar with. They enjoy it (for the most part), but as the game progresses, most (especially Angel, Husk, Baxter, and, oddly enough, Alastor and CHerri) get increasingly unnerved by it.
  368. The puzzles get increasingly frustrating for them, too.
  369. The Whale offers them a nice comic relief, but they increasingly disturbed, especially on Zone 3, which tips most of them off (pun) about the nature of the game's world.
  370. The Room is where all semblance of joy disappears, and they continue with trepidation alone.
  371. Many of them (including Angel, Cherri, Husk and Baxter) don't even complete the game, stopping when they reach the Hugo "bossfight" (while, horrifyingly to the themselves, Charlie and Vaggie press on, whilst Niffty and Alastor continue unflinching).
  372. In the end, both Charlie and Vaggie side with the Judge, whilst Alastor and Niffty remain with the Batter.
  373. In the end, whilst put off by the final battle, all of them comment on the games' wild, imaginative design. Charlie wonders out loud if her father would create such a world, which halts all further conversation about it.

  376. -
  377. >Half-Life series (main series, barring "Alyx", Charlie)
  378. Unexpectedly, despite everyone else watching her, Charlie begins narrating her own gameplay in a sarcastic tone, reminding some of the anons of "Freeman's Mind"... Until it syncs up, and becomes a dead ringer for that series, albeit sounding like they're seeing Freeman's world from Charlie's perspective. It weirds out a lot of the Hotel staff, but the anons become completely engrossed by it. Charlie does the same thing for Half-Life 2, and Episode 2 as well.
  379.
  380. >Portal series (Vaggie)
  381. Vaggie, on the other hand, plays in complete silence, allowing the others to commentate on the game instead of her, while she wizzes through the levels.
  382. Then proceeds to attack Alastor with the keyboard for purple proring about wanting to fuck GlaDOS' voice.
  383.
  384. >Cry of Fear
  385. The anons decide to get Alastor to play it. He does surprisingly well, but only does the bad endings, and refuses to acknowledge the very existence of the good ones.
  386. Asking Angel to play through results in several apologies... To several people.
  387. Mostly Angel and Niffty.
  388. -
  389. Oh God, Cry of Fear was so fucking bad man.
  390. -
  391. bad as in good or bad bad?
  392. -
  393. Bad bad. The creators could not take criticism in the slightest, its just jumpscares, a lot of shit happened.
  394. Basically, its the worst team for a horror game. One of the guys slit his fucking wrist and he was only 13-14 years old. The game's multiplayer doesn't work these days, when I first got it and tried to play it didn't run because it defaulted to software instead of opengl. It's a buggy mess.
  395. -
  396. holy fuck
  397. -
  398. Yeah. I forgot where I heard about this, but ED left some good information about the game.
  399. -
  400. >Angel and Niffty were so pissed about how shitty that game was that the anon's apologised to them
  401. -
  402. Yeah if ya want something scary try, nightmare house or Amnesia? Idk anything but that joke
