  3. RTA Rules; this category requires you to start a new game file on the difficulty of your choosing. Timing starts when you hit 'Yes' on "Start game?" and ends when you obtain the final achievement. Loading save files created before starting the run is not allowed.

  5. Loadless time is required and is the standard for PC runs: if you are playing on PC, please use the load removal/autosplitter found in the resources section to submit loadless times to the leaderboard.

  7. The Windows application Steam Achievement Manager (gib.me/sam/) by gibbed can be used to remove already acquired achievements on your Steam profile. Make sure to follow the instructions on the developers website. This is advised as it makes tracking achievements during a run much easier and also helps in verifying a run. On consoles, it is possible to play on a new user profile to regain achievements/trophies. Submitted runs without visible achievement pop-ups will not be accepted.

  14. !!! You only need to find one book! There is no achievement for finding every book. !!!
  15. Bling Bullets cost in total 26,378 coins. Scissor Upgrades cost in total 13,300 coins. You only need to get enough money to buy out the most expensive of the two, since you can "Retry" to get your money back while still keeping the achievement.
  16. If you destroy enemies as Genocide Jack, you won't get any experience. Switch back to Komaru before they explode.
  17. Eye-shots give 50% more experience.

  26. Eye-shot the last two monokumas in the diner for some extra experience.
  27. After getting Move, eye-shot the monokuma and pick up the money, shoot the next one you see with your empowered shot (helps not accidentally not-"eye-shotting" a monokuma in Ch.1).

  33. The usually-first note, "Something terrible is happening", won't appear immediately if you do the first cutscene skip. It's faster to get it when you return to the hospital than to not do the cutscene skip.

  35. Buy Attack Speed 1, Charge Power 1 and Charge Speed 1.

  39. CHAPTER 2:

  41. Get "I'm only 16. I don't want to die" and "Hit List: Kanondosu" before triggering the subway collapse, or you'll miss them. Hidden Masaru can be obtained before or after.
  42. Equip Raise after Dancing the siren monokuma on the way back, eye-shot every monokuma in the room and pick up the money.
  43. For Socki the Sock 3, climb up the ladder, dash attack forward until the cutscene, talk to the kid, Shift + S during the "Challenge Start!", check the 3rd pipe.
  44. Equip Violent Urge upon entering the secret base.
  45. Remember to get Quickfire Skill before reading the three mandatory notes (first E press opens the locker, second gets the skill). You can always get it after the cutscene with Haiji, but it's slower.

  62. Wave 1: Dance right, knockback. Dance left, knockback up.

  66. Get "Children Know This Town Better Than I Thought" before fighting Genocide Jack, or you'll miss it. Hidden Jataro can be obtained before or after.
  67. Get Super Studying Technique and equip it immediately.
  68. Get Break ammo during the hidden kid arcade.
  69. At the shop right after the hidden kid arcade, buy Bling Bullets, Sort (press F) twice, buy Endlessly (480 coins) + Abundantly (220 coins). Equip Battle Skill and equip the purchased Bling Bullets to Break.

  71. Get Break ammo in Arcade 4.8 and before the Ch.4 Boss (middle machine).

  77. Arcades: Jataro & Kotoko (interchangeably) -> Nagisa (siren monokuma grind) + leave -> Kotoko (get Break ammo) & Jataro (get Break ammo) (interchangeably) -> Nagisa (siren monokuma grind) + leave -> Masaru (get Break ammo) -> Nagisa (siren monokuma grind) + finish it.

  79. Get Break ammo at the final arcade.
  80. I HIGHLY recommend doing the safe strat on the final arcade if you don't do the first two arcades correctly: you won't get an A if you fail three arcades.
  81. Get Paralyze ammo after the final arcade.
  82. Get Hidden Nagisa during the second wave, after using Dance on the first siren monokuma. Use Paralyze on a monokuma standing on water.

  89. Select Chapter -> Chapter 4 -> Despair Mode
  90. On Nagisa Protect 1, use Dance on the siren monokuma then eye-shot every monokuma and pick up the money. If done perfectly, you'll get 2100 coins per run and it should take around two minutes.
  91. Go back to the start of the chapter and save. Go to the main menu and repeat until you have 25,678 coins (or close to it).
  92. You should also do Nagisa Protect 3 once (save at the shrine) to get close to Level 99. You should end this section at least at level 98, halfway to 99.

  99. Remember to get some money on the way if you aren't at 25,678 coins and experience if you aren't at level 99 already.
  100. If you don't have Monokuma Genocider at Paralyze, kill all the monokumas in the following room (with Paralyze). You should have it by the time you reach the shop.
  101. Once you reach the shop buy every bling bullet, reset, buy every scissor upgrade, save, go to the main menu.

  118. Arcade 1.1) EZ Clap
  119. Arcade 1.2) Alert the bomber monokuma: it'll run to the normal monokumas and turn to face you. Eye-shot it.
  120. Arcade 1.3) Drill through the normal monokumas, eye-shot the siren monokuma.
  121. Arcade 1.4) Dance the siren monokuma, wait a bit, Break the bomber monokuma.
  122. Arcade 1.5) Get Break ammo while you wait for all the monokumas to round up near the bomber monokuma.

  124. Arcade 2.1) Knockback the bomber monokuma (don't get too close to it).
  125. Arcade 2.2) Don't bother trying to do this arcade right, it's slow and really precise: drill through the shield monokumas then eye-shot the bomber monokuma.
  126. Arcade 2.3) Activate the MONOKU-MAN machine here for the achievement and grab some ammo. Dance the siren monokuma when it's near the hole, then Knockback both monokumas.
  127. Arcade 2.4) Move on the machine, eye-shot the bomber monokuma.
  128. Arcade 2.5) Move on the machine, knockback the bomber monokuma (don't get too close to it).
  129. Arcade 2.6) Wait a bit at the start for the bomber monokuma to start turning, go genocide and dash-attack to the end of the room, then combo attack the ball monokuma into the other monokumas. Go back to Komaru to get the experience.

  132. Arcade 3.2) Move on the furthest machine, shoot the bomber monokuma (you should have an empowered shot from eye-shotting the beast monokumas in the first arcade).
  133. Arcade 3.3) Move on the machine, Dance the siren monokuma, wait a bit then Move the car.
  134. Arcade 3.4) Eye-shot the leftmost monokuma, then the second leftmost monokuma, then the middle bomber monokuma, then the two remaining normal monokumas.
  135. Arcade 3.5) Drill through the shield monokumas then shoot the normal monokuma (you should have an empowered shot here).

  137. Arcade 4.1) Move on the closest machine, Move on the furthest machine, Paralyze the normal monokuma.
  138. Arcade 4.2) Quickly shoot the bomber monokuma with Break (make sure it's not empowered) before it starts moving, shoot it again before the two other bomber monokumas pass it then shoot it one final time right after they pass it.
  139. Arcade 4.3) Move on the machine, Move the car, Dance the siren monokuma, wait until they're all over the water, Paralyze a monokuma.

  159. CHAPTER 3: Get close to it, go Genocide and start charging, when it's about to slam its axe, evade right and release drill. Back to Komaru.
  160. CHAPTER 4: Two Lust Attacks, go to the corner of the arena, back to Komaru.
  161. CHAPTER 5: Lust attack, drill, back to Komaru.
  162. FINAL BOSS: Break, Paralyze, two drills, two drills.
