- Cleo is notoriously unable to keep swearing out of her videos. In S2 she stopped swearing in Hermitcraft videos at the request of other Hermits on penalty of being excluded from collabs.
- I used to be ok with it, but I refuse to watch any content with profanity anymore.
- I used to work in an industry where swearing was required for employees to prove themselves to be tough, capable and rejecting of traditional morals. Women in particular had to swear more to be accepted in the very male-dominated environment. If you weren't hypermasculine you were punished for it and the language was part of the facade.
- When I left that industry I lost 3 public-facing jobs in a row for using vulgar language before I broke the habit.
- Excessive profanity is a sign of a limited vocabulary and an overly aggressive personality. It's also a mild narcotic so excessive swearing is also a sign of low pain tolerance. Swearing in filmed work that you've edited yourself indicates that you want to be seen as inconsiderate and aggressive. It's a choice. With an understanding of what is behind transgressive choices in film, I choose to reject profanity in media now.
- While I can understand why Cleo backslides into offensive language on the air, it's always disappointing when she does.
