GENERAL DQX NOTES
TYPING JAPANESE (WINDOWS 10)
Before installing DQX
-Change system locale to Japanese (dont use that beta option)
-Change region format to japan
-Make Japanese IME your default app, default input
-Make region Japan
THEN install the game
Don't tweak with other stuff
I think this only works if you bought a physical disk, someone on Woodus said the applocal is the issue. In that case might want to try applocal emulation if this doesn't work for you.
HOW TO SET UP A SUBSCRIPTION

- Log into your Japanese Square Enix account
- Add Crysta via redeeming your WebM code

- First red button > Crysta option > Select which payment option you want
GAMEPLAY NOTES (Also check out the forums on Woodus; I'm only typing what I learn as I go along)

- Main Story Location: Battle log > First option > Click the quest you want to go to
- Common Phrases: [B] (The blue option on the 4th page leads to emotes)
- To add new Frequent Used Messages: Log on to your account > Last brown tab, Frequently used words (on the main website)
- Emotes: Frequently Used Messages > (shigusarisu (some fuckin kanji)
- Official photo mode is holding down [F12]. Take the shot with [PrtSc]. View these on the main site.
- Change servers: Inn > NPC in orange outfit, you can also redeem lottery tickets and other rewards can be collected here
- Talk to the NPC w/ the pink hat, you get a slime hat that boosts your EXP!
- Sleep at INNs often, this boosts your Fame points, which is required for getting stronger
- To hid your hat: Equipment > Hat > 2nd option
- Hold down [Esc] during battle for frequently used messages/emotes
- Hold down [R] to summon mount. To boost, hit auto [R] and then [W] (PC players)
- To Set A Mega-stone at a town: Go to the Church and hit the 2nd option
- Those floating stone are for your zoom stone, you can override zoom stones
- Two Rura(zoom) Stones: One from Mini Medals, one from Casino
- You want to use the bazaar after lvl 30
- To trade w/ a player, Select that person > "torihiki" とりひき
- To add to a party: select user > 2nd option
- Hire friends from the bar (Helps u play w/o online friends)
- To remove people from your friend list: Open Friend tap > Select user you want to remove > Last option
- Summon back support party via Team Commands section
- To put pet in monster farm: Basement (recruitment place) > 3rd option
- To see what quests you've accepted: Battle log > Last option
- To Pep a player: Get close enough to them > [ENTER] > First option
- Can set up Glamours: Equip outfit > Hit V > create new outfit
- To update a glamour, equip the new outfit, select your glamour, and rename it.
- More hair colors are unlocked through quests in v2.0 land
- Leave a party: Main menu, 4th right, 2nd right, 2nd option
- Housing: Double tap E or Q for an exact rotation
- Changing default idle animation: (every time u hit lvl 50 u get a new one btw) Main menu > 4th right > 2nd left >3rd option
- To change party leader: select user > 3rd option
- To see what quests you've accepted: Battle log > Last option
- Resetting skill points
	-Have to finish a quest in 2nd Ogre town, then you can reset when you buy certain item from the NPC near the flame. You have your own personal flame after the quest is done but you still need that item to reset skill points.
- To Pep a player: Get close enough to them > [ENTER] > First option
- Can set up Glamours: Equip outfit > Hit V > create new outfit
	- Can only override the costumes
- To update a glamour, equip the new outfit, select your glamour, and rename it.
- To dye an outfit: Make sure all glamour is off, have the equipment you want dyed on, and the pink angel hat off. 1 dye equals 10 flowers. To buy these flowers, check the bazzar or grow them yourself. Go to the dress icon merchant in the 2nd major Pukulipo town. Talk to the witch looking one. She will dye them if you have the flowers for a price. This works for mounts as well.
		- There is a special mirror item you can use to preview outfits w/ dye on it. If you save it, there is an option when talking to the lady to use that same exact mirror image you saved instead of individually dying everything.
- Leave a party: Main menu, 4th right, 2nd right, 2nd option
- Housing: Double tap E or Q for an exact rotation
- Daily Missions (Good way to get exp): Last major Puku town > Right near the gate. Weekly Missions: 2.0 Area > The Gateway area
- You can buy "ドルセリン(Dollserine fuel)" at item shops and refill a mount with it.
- Leaving Labyrinths
	- You'll need to use one of your black important items magic keys
- To replay a quest: Select the quest you finished > hit [F1] > hit yes > find the OG quest giver
- Magic Key or まほうのカギ. Used to enter and leave magic labyrinths. To find it items > important items > normally the first one
- Water your neighbors plants/pet their pets
- You can set permissions at your home. Home options > Last one > The landlord should appear > First Option > Honestly use Google Translate to figure out which ones you want to set. I found the 2nd Page with のルーラ most useful since this allows anyone to set a zoom stone to your home.
- Summon pet with "chikusen"
- Kids Time (aka free hour): Sunday - Thursday 3AM EST Friday/Saturday 12AM EST
- Can put horse poop on garden to make it grow better.
- for team quests, submit　it in レンドア in the bar
- If you cannot find an item you received from a quest because your inventory was full, go to the orange NPC at the Inn, 2nd to last option, 3rd to last option
	- If you do not know which quest to do next, you can also talk to the NPC. 3rd option on the first menu
- Chat related controls:
	Ctrl + p is party
	Ctrl + t is team
	Ctrl + c is local
	Ctrl + f is friend
- Theres a special kind of log in event every 10th of the month
	- You get a present ticket, which can be used for a special merchant NPC
- Those paint brush/paper things are for alchemy
- Accessories are pretty important. You'll be using the 2nd main Weddie town often
	- Jewelry Shop: One option to change accessories via crystals. Other option as well. Another option to Fuse same accessories to make it stronger
	-Several ways to get accessories. Mostly through labyrinths, the main content of DQX outside of story
	-Bosses like Altus are super useful to get a different item that you can use to make accessories stronger
- Sometimes DQXTV gives away free codes. To redeem these codes (look on the DQX Twitter, you will se an image with big characters on it), Click the present icon on your hiroba side bar, first option, type in the code, select which character you want it to go to
- Gems: Talk to the older looking ogre in the ogre town station
	- 5 Types of Gems: Fire, Water, Earth, Light, Dark
	- Gems give neat upgrades
	- You can assign points to your gem board (i gotta double check which option that is lol)
	- For the Guy: Worry about the first two options: Discover what Gems you have and Place Gems
- A NPC Puku named Orufea sells limited timed items, check the first major Puku town
- You can only stack items on furniture that has a down arrow on the icon
- I think you can only change your mount at the dwarf village. Its the small girl with yellow clothes.
- Daily Quests: Armored NPC usually nearby the entrance/NPC with squid hat
	- Weekly EXP quests: Ver2, The main gate area
- On the DQX Cash shop, there is a special shop with a gold frame around it. Right under the search function. April of every year, your shop ranking resets and whatever rank you are on allows you to buy fancy items in that shop
- If you have a subscription, you can get free lottery tickets from the orange inn NPC every week
- You can change pets in the elf village.
- You will need other online players to pet your Alchemy pot when it's wore out
- Theres a large tower in the desert part of V.2 land, it's a randomized rouge dungeon. Good way to get Gold and accessories.
