- Chapter 13. A flower blooms, but at a time it has to die... Actually.. Considering giving it an awesomeness infusion and..
- Ild had launched a Hyper Energy Wave. Luna went on with a fire vortex, the attacks combined and.. The proceeding attack was gargantuan. The spinning and chaotic blast going for Ari. She held out her sword as it begun drawing in closer, and begin getting absorbed by its blade. The awesomeness and hyper energy, they were all drawn inside, almost gone, almost... Just.. For a little bit. Just a little bit. It managed to hit Ari. What was she doing? Fighting a bunch of random people? They seemed in love with each-other... Like.. Like.. No, she would not compare it to herself. But in fact.. She just had, in her mind. They were just like her and... Ild proceeded to launch the dragon bullet slash. Luna made a dragon head like fire blast and as the two went on, Ari proceeded to swing her sword, a mighty launch of energy blasting the area in front of her. There was but white light for a few seconds, as everything returned to normal. Ild and Luna were wounded, greatly wounded. They stood there, in the path of harm, and took it all with their bodies. What resolve.. What power... Ari would go on and make several spheres of her flames, going on and attacking the duo. Ild held his sword in reverse grip and made a few quick slashes at the air, splitting the flame spheres in two. Ari was., distracted. She could only make some more of the flames and assault them, easily rebuffed by ild. She didn't see the incoming slash. The offensive was powerful. Ari suffered some damage before she could start absorbing it and retaliate. Ild produced one Hyper Energy wave and as it would begin getting absorbed, produce a second and sent it on the trails of the first, greatly amplifying it, and throwing Ari off balance, her reconstructed armor was once more damaged. She would then release all the flames she could produce at the moment, as they loomed over ild, Spiraling and forming into a tunnel, a vertical spinning tunnel, vortex like movement she thought he couldn't escape. But it was not he who would lead the escape. Luna, .. Luna had to do this. Releasing her flames she spread them out to the vortex. At first, the blue flames fed on them. Later, she could keep up a bit. A bit later, Luna was exerting more of her flames and keeping the pressure. This felt great. She had grown stronger finally. Luna could now fight properly.. Her desires, her wishes no linger restrained, her flames flowing freely through. The feeling was great. Although.. In the other hand.. Ari was again distracted. Last night... She and Dyonissius.. The two of them did kiss, yes.. She remembered it perfectly, the night.. Them leaning close to one another and his lips joining hers.. They were finally together, for a brief moment. She could.. Just.. No. She opened her eyes and saw her flames being overtook. At first, only a few minor flames, and a bit later... More and more flames.. Her vortex was now being consumed by Luna's own flames.. It was hers that were better.. Ari went on to attack a little bit more.. No, futile. Luna dispelled the vortex as she sent a lion head attack out of her fist, consuming the energy from Ari and almost hitting her, was it not for the glass blade which she used to absorb the attack and send a flaming slash at Luna. The two were now facing one another. Ari channeled her energy in the glass blade, launching forward, attempting to defend herself as Luna sent in the many Lion heads. She used the blade again, more slashed, Luna defended with ease. She jumped forward and kicked Ari in the ribs. It hurt.. She.. It really hurt. Ari slashed Luna across the chest, and a few more times, Luna countered with a burst of flames. Ari.. Could she take it anymore? Yes.. And she would. Just.. This.. Once.. She released many of her flames, and Luna countered with hers. The blue flames made birds, faced against the flaming lions. It seemed to be an equal match. For a while Ari found strength, the flames mixed for a while.. It was beautiful, but.. Where was Ild?
- And right there it came. From many meters above, Ild, with his sword pointed downwards, the tip overcharged with energy fell like a meteor, as Ari would fly up and attempt to locate him, but he was above her.. Above, as he pierced Ari right through.. She fell down, her Asuran Arms release destroyed.. She fell in the ground, on her knees, not being able to utter one last word, and then she fell down. Ild pulled out his sword from her chest. There was no blood... Actually, there probably was, but the armor she wore, was blood red and a viewer from afar couldn't see it. And.. Then the strangest thing happened. The ground collapsed, and so did the area below her. One could argue, it had been eaten out by the flames, or strength of the attack. However, she fell right out of the sphere, as the metal rebuilt itself shortly after. Her body, fell through the sky, as if drowning in an endless ocean of nothingness.. It.. It couldn't be seen anymore in a few seconds... She was gone now. The sad music begun playing. But who was even playing it? The wind? The wind made no such sounds. And the rain.. It begun. But how? It had been sunny before.
- This all felt too weird. Dyonissius knew.. Deep down he knew. She had died, hadn't she? The shop was complete. It.. Looked lovely, from most points of view. But.. Who was going to even make use of it? There was nobody who could sell, or provide the flowers... Ari.. Would he ever see her again? Maybe.. Maybe he would. Maybe she wasn't . Hey... It was never wrong to hope.. Was it? But no.. As he turned his head he looked, using one of the souls ability and look past the cover he could see her.. He could see, that far.. In such a distant place, he could watch it unfold, her death... She had already gone now. So it was wrong to hope.. Dyonissius turned around, as rain poured down his face, but... It wasn't all rain now...
- Lone was walking through the dark alleys of Rollp Lay. He had to encounter him again. He had to see the being again. He... He thought he knew him from before. And as he went in, standing there, waiting, the shadows in front of him changed, moved.. Something had come. Lone turned around and witnessed the being. The one in the long coat, with the same cyan eyes. He looked at the being once more..
- "So.. You knew I was going to be here?"-Lone asked, calm
- "..."
- "Can you...speak?"-he asked, slightly annoyed
- "..."
- "No?"
- "... No"-responded a deep voice
- "So.. You can speak ..."
- "... What do you want?"
- "Who are you? You seem familiar?"-he asked again, he of course knew.. He knew the man he was seeing
- "I am not... You only know who you see.."-the voice said again
- "So... That thing... The thing ... Is.. Is you?"-Lone asked.. Anger in his voice.
- "...yes"-he heard
- "Be prepared then. For it was you who.."-and yet he couldn't finish , before he found himself stabbed with the glass blade.
- "We.. Are both.. Just.. Ghosts"
- "I.. I.."-Lone said, bleeding. He.. He suddenly stood back up, the wound closed as he charged in. The man effortlessly blocked him with the sword, several times, before throwing him back. Lone charged his entire awesomeness in the knives, making several cuts in the man's body.. But what he managed to uncover was his skin beneath... And in a few moments, as the above cover was destroyed, the being revealed itself. It was a strange, completely white skinned creature, not just pale, but pure white , and the hair of this being were completely black. The lower part contained a strange... Thing... With tentacles. Its left hand altered into a massive lance, Anos style, as it struck down Lone. The being was.. Lone had seen it before. It begun altering again , revealing its feet as the tentacles instead wrapped around the body. Before spears would of course shoot of it's body and hold Lone in place. This being.. This monster.. Lone.. The being would proceed to take a deep breath and spew forth a black mist. Lone.. Lone knew if he inhaled it... But. It didn't seem to be headed that way. As Lone was about to be killed, the being.. It proceeded to inhale the mist itself and start retreating.. Moving back into the ground, as if it had been just a nightmare. Lone took a heavy breath. He was taken by surprise. He was no longer that mighty soldier, he.. His power had been reducing lately.. His body was degrading, he was beginning to have less power, less support for his being... Something had infected the flow of awesomeness then.. Or at the very least disturbed it.. Had this truly happened? Had.. Had it really come upon them again? The... No.. No.. Impossible.
- And as Lone was waiting there, almost out, someone came. Wynd approached, as he looked down, making eye contact with Lone.
- "What happened here?"-he asked, his mocking tone now gone.
- "Nothing.. I.. I tripped"
- "Yeah.. I've been hearing that a lot lately"
- "Not by me. I don't trip often"
- "Let's see.. I think you do. And soon will even more.. And a bit later than that.."
- "I get it! I.. I know what... "
- "Yeah, you seem to be aware of the future events concerning yourself. How does this change anything... Eeeeeh... "
- "Spare me the mockery and let's go.. We need to find a way to get back at Dr.Sonnemuz"
- "Yeah.. Last time it didn't go too well"
- "This once we'll be prepared"
- "..."
- And.. With that the conversation ended. Lone and Wynd would head back to their own business, each dealing with their own matters. Lone remembered well, his time as a warrior. He used to be hired by the underground troops. And then came the mission... One Dr.John Smith... A mere researcher under the power of the then named Dr.Sonnemuz. He requested a specimen . Lone.. Lone was sent on the mission. It was part of some sort of deal. Apparently the Underground would send some of their soldiers on Dr.Sonnemuz's mission.. And one such mission was to retrieve a specimen. Lone had gone on the mission. It was fairly easy to track the specimen, a girl about 11. He... Why did he even need to do that? Send the girl to Smith for experimentation. There wasn't anything special about her, just.. That man's sick desire for.. For his "progress". And there it was, he betrayed those men, killed the soldiers sent by the then Dr.Sonnemuz and .. And he actually let the girl go. But later.. Lone remembered, Dr.Sonnemuz had died, and John Smith rose to the post.. He became the new Dr.Sonnemuz... And and he was in front of those mooks, 80.000 as he learned later , they all charged on him. Lone was once a mighty hero... They thought even that number of mooks wasn't enough.. And indeed.. It was barely enough, ending about 60.000 as he did learn later.. And the place was named Crimson Field... He... He, suffered defeat too. But there was one last thing to do... He had to serve his job , as a beacon of last hope, until a real hero was born. Or so he wanted to think, really.. People have all sorts of dellusions.
