Background: Yoojin was born in Busan, South Korea but was raised in Osaka, Japan. There she was inspired by the girl group, AKB48 to be idols. She auditioned but failed. After a few moths, her baby brother, Donghyun wans born and her family moved to Seoul, South Korea where she was inspired by the many idols of KPOP. She tried to audition to many entertainments but to no avail. Until, she auditioned to Pledis where she got accepted.
