Q: All Spirit Rematches? So are you gonna just wait on the Spirit Board hoping new ones pop up?

A: Haha nope! In version 8.0, a feature was added that allows you to simply rebattle any spirit you want to in the Spirit List menu!

Q: So you're fighting all 1438 spirits?

A: No. While most spirits DO have battles associated with them, a good number of them are only possible to get through either leveling up, summoning, or buying in one of the World of Light/Vault shops. In addition, “Fighter Spirits” never have a battle associated with them, and are only gotten through Classic Mode or buying them in the Vault Shop. Boss fights are also not available to fight on the Spirit List menu, so they aren't fought either.

Q: Wait, then how many battles ARE there?

A: I can't be bothered to do the exact math atm, but I read somewhere that someone did the math and that there was around 936 spirit fights, and this was in february 2019, which was even before Joker and his spirits were released. There was “only” ~1300 back then, and since then over 130 spirits have been added, all except around 20 had fights associated with them. So the total number of battles is almost definitely a little over 1000.

Q: Holy hell, how long do you expect this to take?

A: Around 8-10 hours. This estimate is based on me finding a playlist of almost all spirit battles done w/o spirits. So it could actually be shorter then that. Or longer depending on how good or bad I do.

Q: Did you at least prepare for this? Do you have a route?
