  1. [9:27 PM] Kimura: "...Bandages? Why? Did... did someone hurt you, Vanya? Or, is it to cover something up on me?"
  2. [9:31 PM] Tori the Sarcastic: Ivan took off his own scarf to reveal the bandages and took off the bandages to reveal some alarming scars
  3. [9:32 PM] Kimura: sasha gasps in horror "!!!!!!!! Ваня! Кто?! Что?! Почему?!" (('vanya, who, what, why'))
  4. [9:34 PM] Tori the Sarcastic: Ivan flinched “<They do not matter, who does not matter>”
  5. [9:38 PM] Kimura: "<Zone help me, it 'doesn't matter'! Vanya, you don't deserve to be hurt like this, nobody does!>"
  6. [9:39 PM] Tori the Sarcastic: “<I DID IT ALRIGHT?!>” he yelled it before running upstairs with the scarf
  7. [9:41 PM] Kimura: sasha freezes... for several minutes, he just sits there on the workbench, absolutely immobile, like the matryoshka he wished to become. unable to speak, or move, or even think about what ivan just said.
  8. [9:43 PM] Tori the Sarcastic: Ivan hid in his room. He kept his scars very secret
  9. [9:45 PM] Kimura: after a bit of time, sasha manages to 'reboot'... he looks around the room, completely shook as to what has occured. it's probably just a trick of his mind, but the matryoshki lying around seem to be just as horrified as he is... he feels even more like one of them now, and looks to the art supplies ivan left out...
  10. [9:48 PM] Tori the Sarcastic: Ivan had nothing bad in there anymore
  11. [9:49 PM] Kimura: well, I meant like the paint and other stuff ivan uses to make dolls. sasha's feeling kinda contemplative, like he isn't quite complete yet...
  12. [9:56 PM] Kimura: getting up off the workbench, sasha digs around a bit, looking for a few things in the pile of art supplies... a hand mirror, a brush, and a bottle of some sort of clear liquid... after a bit, he finds them and sets them on the workbench.
  13. [10:06 PM] Kimura: sasha looks at the doll he was holding earlier, the one that ivan painted him to resemble. the way the paint and lacquer shine in the light of the room... how he wishes he could just, be like that doll right now, put on display and motionless. he looks to the stuff he gathered, unsure whether to go through with it or not...
  14. [10:07 PM] Tori the Sarcastic: Ivan was upstairs at this point, crying thinking he’d just scared him
  15. [10:10 PM] Kimura: at this point, sasha isn't even thinking much about trying to go and comfort his brother. all he can think about right now, is how to stay with ivan and belong to him. setting the real matryoshka aside, he gets an empty paint tray, and pours a decent amount of the clear liquid into it, before grabbing a brush. he's never painted a doll before, let alone himself, so he hopes he doesn't mess up...
  16. [10:12 PM] Tori the Sarcastic: Iv’s gonna be creeped out
  17. [10:20 PM] Kimura: Sasha's Left Brain: "(dude, what the BLYAT are we doing?!)"
  18. Sasha's Right Brain: "(must... help... vanya...)"
  19. LB: "(da, but this is not how to do it!)"
  20. RB: "(must... belong... to vanya...)"
  21. LB: "(what in the Web?! he said he didn't want to own us!)"
  22. RB: "(must... be... his...)"
  23. LB: "(we can't do this!)"
  24. -- Sasha's Right Brain set mode +m on Sasha's Left Brain --
  25.
  26. with the Logical part of his brain temporarily muted, sasha dips the brush into the lacquer, and using the mirror he set up on the desk, begins to paint it over the paint ivan put on his face and neck...
  27. [10:29 PM] Kimura: after a while, sasha's entire face and neck, aside from his eyelids and lips, have been painted over with lacquer. as he waits for it to try, he remembers one of the other things ivan said... that he doesn't sign his work. time to change that. ...considering that near-crit-fail on imitating his handwriting, though, sasha decides a simple 'Made in Russia' on his arm will do. looking back to the tools, he notices the engraving tool he had brought on a whim along with the paint ivan had actually requested...
  28. [10:50 PM] Kimura: ...he picks up the engraving tool. the packaging claims that it's an automated device, capable of engraving any material. he ponders this... if it were used on skin, would it be like a tattoo or a scar? or would his nation healing factor make it go away? while the (muted) logical part of his brain ponders this, the emotional half of his brain has already typed the words 'Сделано в России' (Made in Russia) into the smartphone-connected interface, and holds the tool above an area on his right arm, a gap in his embroidery tattoo. the area looks about the right size... and worse comes to worse, he can always have the tattoo extended over the scar, da?
  29. [10:58 PM] Kimura:
  30. * Your brain screamed out for you to stop.
  31. * . . .
  32. * Message failed to send.
  33.
  34.
  35. sasha locks the tool in place above his arm, and presses the start button on the app. there is a loud whine, as the tool's needle descends, and effortlessly carves out thin cyrillic letters into his epidermis, as if it were soft wood. sasha winces in pain, too late to stop the engraving now. less than a minute later, it finishes and powers down, unlocking his arm from the chamber. to his surprise, there is barely any blood, only a softly visible outline of the writing he had programmed it to carve.
  36. [11:04 PM] Kimura: satisfied with the work, he feels the lacquer on his face. it seems to have hardened quite well, yet looking in the mirror he decides it's not as shiny as the real matryoshka is. so, he grabs the brush and applies a second coat... then, deciding to go for broke, lacquers his tattoo (and the engraving) as well. "<There. Now I am become perfect matryoshka. Only one more part to be doing...>"
  37. [11:10 PM] Kimura: while he waits for the second coat to dry, sasha walks over to a table, where ivan seems to have set up various dolls he plans to sell. he clears a spot big enough for him to sit in, then digs around for some paper and string, and a marker. fashioning together a sign similar to the ones ivan has lying around for the other dolls, he hangs it around his neck, then looks at himself in the mirror. satisfied with his work, he picks up the lacquer brush one more time, and closes his mouth...
  38. [11:16 PM] Kimura: the job completed at last, sasha walks back over to the display stand, climbing up, and sitting down among the other dolls as he waits for the last of the lacquer to harden. looking down at the tag around his neck, he internally grins, and then chooses a pose to sit silently in, closing his eyes and becoming one with the mind of a matryoshka, proudly sitting on display for its owner.
  39.
  40. the sign reads... [Oleksandr Braginsky - 1,000,000 руб. - Sold to Ivan Braginsky]
  41. [11:25 PM] Kimura: ((I... I'm 413% sure I have been reading way way waaay too many transformation stories on deviantart. sadly, haven't found any about becoming a matryoshka, but honestly, this one will do. besides, I like the "plausible in real life" TF stories, the kind that don't involve magic, or strange devices and nanites, or unobtainium... just simple, uncomplicated TF stories that someone with the right dedication ~~and completely messed-up brain, like sasha right now~~ could quite plausibly make happen for real.))
