  4. Genre: Electronic, Dub, Downtempo, Ambient, Leftfield, Trance | Time: 04:55:36
  5.
  6.
  7. Collection includes all studio albums at the moment: Mystic Cigarettes (1997); Midnight's Children (2000); Liquid Beach (2003); Supernatural (2007).
  8.
  9. There is only one project that was able to speed up fantasies of Blue Room /UK- Saafi Brothers. Inspired by his annual travels to India, Gabriel Le Mar starts a collaboration with Frankfurt-based producer Michael Kohlbecker on researching unknown spiritual flight-zones in exotic club sound environments.
  10.
  11. Saafi Brothers quickly make their way into the hearts of music lovers. The debut LP Mystic Cigarettes and the following second LP Midnight’s Children on the well known British label Blue Room Rel. reached cult status worldwide. With their unique sound of deep vibes and dubby influences, Gabriel Le Mar and Michael Kohlbecker made a little revolution on their own and kept releasing their music with the third longplayer Liquid Beach.
  12.
  13. The name Saafi is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning “traveling musician”.
  14.
  15. Supernatural is the forth album of producer/artists Saafi Brothers - the album is produced with an emphasis on live sound manipulations and fat bass lines laying down deep and dub-wise grooves.
  16.
  17. Many stories must stay unmentioned at this point leaving an open space for future creation.
  18.
  19. Being productive and live-experienced artists since more than a decade Saafi Brothers live-appearances continue very electronic into a unique sound and vision experience. They will take us on a trip through trancey TechHouse-styles from deep ambient dub to energetic soulful techno, merging their own productions with their DJ selection into one mix.

  30. Just in case it couldn't be inferred from the title, Mystic Cigarettes is a drug-addled symphony of psychedelic trance. Though Saafi Brothers are actually a trio of unrelated European producers (Gabriel Le Mar, Michael Kohlbecker, and Alex Azary), they approximate the sound of Goa trance quite well, especially on "Internal Code Error" and "2046."

  54. Alligators slide through the sewers of Manhattan. A bum falls to the sidewalk in Paris, and the flow from his bottle of wine vanishes in the spring rain under the streetlights' glimmer. Cyborg engineers with ocular implants stalk the night, their ominous purpose hidden from view..
  55.
  56. OK, well, how would you write about this kind of music? It's a bunch of beeps and boops from synthesizers and drum machines, cunningly arranged. It's downtempo dark techno-trance. It sounds like the soundtrack from next year's PKD-inspired action movie.
  57.
  58. Just find a copy and listen to it, OK?

  84. If you liked Saafi Brothers' previous albums such as Mystic Cigarettes and Midnight Children then you will definitely like this album too. Its groovy deep baselines with psychedelic tunes are just mesmerizing. Smooth ambient sounds with awesome beats and great catchy tunes. Recommended CD for programmers. I would give it 6 stars if I can. Unique and original work.

  111. I am continually enchanted and impressed with the Saafi Brothers. Gabriel Le Mar and Mr. Kohlbecker lay down some wonderful beats. This album walks a nice line between chunky funky techno orientation and blissed out beats. Its music when to listen to when your not really into partying but feel like more than chilling. Be sure to pick it up and keep the saafis cranking. No its not terribly different from any other Saafi brothers work, but it does show modern progression and offers new windows on the saafi persona. All in all it may be a more sober view, but it is great...
