  3. -Session 4-
  4. A couple days since Rosk had offered his command crew their positions with Windsong Abbey aboard the destroyer he was to Captain, and it was time for the crew to assemble. Kiturva and Wolfgang had been provided temporary accomodation at Windsong, and a shuttle to take them to the ship was provided as well. Rosk was left to make his own way, his punctuality given the benefit of the doubt, and as he arrives outside the docking bay he finds the two Azlanti defectors being dropped off shortly thereafter. The Kasathan pilot jogged her way up a few minutes later, waving with two of her arms while the others carried what appeared to be everything she owned in a large backpack. This left them waiting for their mechanic and the other two bridge officers.

  8. Rosk waits patiently until the plucky cat shows up, smiling at the group.

  11. Zye arrives outside the hangar bay, coming to a stop and stretching out her legs a bit. "Made it," she says, slightly sweaty but looking chipper. She carefully sets her backpack down, offering independent waves with separate hands to each of the others. "We waiting on anyone else important?"

  18. Zuck leans against the wall in silent vigil as Kit gives a wave to their captain.

  21. Zye nods. "Fair enough. I wanna see this thing so hopefully they get here soon."

  24. Soweli is excitedly looking at the shuttle. "How big is it?"

  27. The Anacite drive waves to Soweli. "Greetings Soweli [[Surname Not found]]." He turns his head to Wolf and Rosk. "Will you require my services further?"

  33. Before much more smalltalk can be had, there was a clamorous crashing from behind the entrance to the docking bay, followed by what sounded like an explosion.

  39. Zye frowns and her hand hovers near a small holster. "Trouble, I'd bet."

  42. Zuck puts his hand on his baton and starts moving to investigate the sound.

  45. The door opens and a rather startled looking dock worker runs out and nearly smack into Zuck. He nearly falls flat on his face as he trips over himself.

  48. Zuck creates distance by shoving the charging humanoid out of his way with his free hand. He looks toward where the scared person was running. That's what he'd do in the prison compound.

  51. There was a bit of smoke coming from the southwest corner of the docking bay near the ship, but more urgently there was a few broken supply crates that a small pack of goblins were picking through, cackling madly.

  54. Rosk tries taking a safe look. "Can any of you see anything?"

  57. Kit frowns and looks to Rosk. This could be... normal here? Zuck frowns. "Goblins, Captain. Should we intervene?"

  63. Zye peeks her head through the door to take a peek. "I spy five of the little blights," she notes, loosening a small handgun in its holster.

  66. He nods. "We can take that. Zuck will lead us in. Let's go in shooting. Given them no room."

  69. Zuck nods as he pulls his baton and charges into the room, moving with surprising speed for his size. He strikes at the goblin.

  72. The goblin is taken by surprise as Zuck cracks its helmet open and brains it, knocking it to the floor in a heap.

  75. Kit follows quickly behind her large friend, dropping to all fours for a moment and winding quickly forward before rising and focusing on one of the goblins. She focuses on the electricity of his brain and attempts to scramble it with her powers.

  78. The crazed little goblin seems to be sufficiently pre-scrambled to avoid being affected.

  81. Soweli eeps and dives behind the nearest cover.
  82. With no commands, her drone floats where it is.
  83. Rosk pays her no mind and keeps calm, pulling out his pistol and taking aim at a goblin, firing off a shot at the nearest out in the open.

  86. Rosk hits the goblin dead on, burning a hole through its patchy spacesuit, but it stubbornly remains standing
  87. The goblin levels his own laser pistol, a crude looking piece of junk, and takes a shot in retaliation. The shot grazes Rosk's shoulder, leaving his uniform smoking a bit
  88. Zye, fleet of foot, rushes up pulling her pistol from its holster, moving to finish off the wounded goblin.
  89. She plants a bullet in its throat and it collapses clutching its ruined windpipe.
  90. The two remaining flunkies move up, drawing their dogslicers on Wolfgang while the biggest and ugliest goblin levels his own junklaser at Zye
  91. Both of the crude blades clink uselessly against Wolfgang's armor, little better than prison shivs, while the boss's laser hits Zye's carbon skin, making her wince at the heat, but isn't seriously harmed.

  94. Zuck doesn't flinch away from the attacks, using the thicker parts of his armor to absorb the blow before counterattacking the goblins

  97. He crunches another one through it's helmet but the second duck the blow, cackling wildly.

  100. Kiturva slips to the side to get a better view of the farthest goblin with the gun. She makes a gesture and streaks of force materialize and strike it.

  103. The missiles of arcane force strike the goblin, though he's definitely tougher than his compatriots

  106. Soweli pokes her head out, feeling a little more confident as her new friends tear though the enemies. She sticks to watching and calls Mouse over. Rosk meanwhile, rubs his shoulder. He was able to turn enough to lesson the damage. It still hurts and is still annoying. He grits his teeth and exhales before taking stock of the situation. He takes aim and fires at one of the goblins.

  115. Zye meanwhile moves up nimbly towards the goblin boss, a switchblade seeming to jump into one of her hands as she moves, passing it between her hands at blinding speeds to confound the goblin.
  116. While her knife-games are impressive, the goblin is as nimble as she is, and avoids getting stabbed somewhere vital, should she does still cut him.
  117. His dogslicer failing him, the goblin hops back a pace and tries another shot with his pistol instead
  118. Which is again worthless against the ex-prison guard's sturdy armor.

  121. The ex-officer presses, not allowing the goblin to put distance between them.
  122. He takes a swing as the goblin fires.

  125. The final of the space goblins pays for underestimating the quickness of the longshanks with a crack across the skull. The boss meanwhile seems keen to play knife games with Zye as he pulls out his own dogslicer.
  126. She deftly parries his knife with hers smirking. "Don't bring that trash to a proper knife fight gobbo." She sneers cockily.

  129. Zuck follows up his clubbing of the goblin by skirting hte edge of the fight between the alien and the goblin, moving in behind to swing at the goblin

  132. With his attention on the knife fight, Wolfgang gets the drop on him and caves his thicker than average goblin skull in.
  133. Zye gives Wolf a bit of a stink eye, then chuckles. "I mean, it ain't exactly fancy, but if it works."

  139. She folds her black back up and reloads it into her spring-loaded wrist sheath, then turns to look at the others. "Anyone hurt?"

  142. Rosk looks around and sees no more goblins. "Nicely done." He looks at his shoulder. "I'll be ok." Soweli pokes her head out. "Are they all gone?"

  148. With the goblins dealt with, a small collection of dock workers come out of a locked office in the corner. One of them grabs a fire extinguisher and runs to put out the burning fuel cannister that had been blasted before it could set off anything else. The others approach the group. "Thanks for that," one of them offers, glancing at a goblin corpse. "Little bastards came out of one of the supply crates as we were loading it. Dunno how they got in there in the first place."

  157. The pit chief tells one of the dockhands to go find the one that ran off before moving up to the Ysoki, pulling out a clipboard. "You wouldn't happen to be Captain Rosk would you?"

  169. It seems to be a cargo manifest. "We were loading some supplies on board." He glances towards the ship, a spearhead model destroyer with a tapered nose pointed towards the exterior bay doors, several hundred feet in length. "We'll have to make sure that explosion didn't do any damage to the hull, but it's pretty sturdy for an older ship." He looks around at the group. "I'm guessing you're expecting more crew though, yeah?"

  175. Zye finally turns her attention towards the ship. She looks it over, walking closer with a scrutinizing eye. "Ain't as sleek as Idaran models," she notes, then shakes her head. "I'll have to see how she handles." She looks to the dockhand. "She got a name?"
  176. The Dock worker shakes his head. "Well, she probably did, but Windsong had us holding it after a second hand purchase, so whatever the name was has faded. Could put a new one on if you like."

  186. Zuck crosses his arms. “It’s a ship.” There’s a smirk to go with his dry delivery.

  189. The dock workers diligently get back to loading the ship while cleaning up the mess the goblins made. The remainder of the crew starts to assemble over the course of the following hour, though there are two notable absences, likely to Rosk's disappointment as his selected gunnery and science chiefs fail to arrive.

  192. He's good at hiding it, but his annoyance grows as they wait. "We're going to need to head out soon to keep on schedule. Looks like we have two failures.

  196. As the dock workers finish of their loading and prep work, the bay chief approaches Rosk, carrying a small box. "Hey Captain, sorry about the mess with the goblins, but the boys appreciate you dealing with that. Consider this our thanks." He passes it to him. "Probably good to have a supply anyways, since it is a bit of an older ship, though it's been maintained well enough." The box contains a decent supply of UPBs. (1000).

  202. He smiles and takes the box. "Thank you." He turns to Kit. "How widespread was the goblin attack?"

  205. Zye chuckles. "Goblin attacks happen all the time down in the Spike," she offers. "Place is lousy with them." The Chief nods. "They're always sneaking aboard Absalom with pirates or hiding in shipping containers. They're pests."
