he has a dark sense of humour, only seeming to laugh at others misery, much to the others disappointment since taehyuk will often trip them or tickle them. he's not very expressive, often blank faced when he's not smiling, giving him that aloof vibe. he's not very cooperative, stubborn to the core but thankfully, taehyuk has mellowed down from his rebellious spree.

at times, he's flirtatious, delving into skinship but he generally stutters and blushes when he's not the one to initiate such things. he's indecisive and fickle, often the one that takes an hour to get ready because he's just changing outfits. taehyuk isn't the smartest of the bunch, barely passing grade twelve and hates things like riddles and reverse psychology.

taehyuk didn't grow up terribly close to his parents like some other kids, often lying and keeping secrets such as telling them he was at his childhood friends house instead of going into town for some lunch or hanging out with other people. despite that, it wasn't like he hated them. he had a fondness for his mothers cooking and while he and his sister didn't talk to their father much, he spoiled them on their birthdays.

when he was fourteen, taehyuk made friends in a crowd his parents looked down upon but he felt welcomed in the group so it wasn't rare that he'd skip school to hang out with them or end up crashing at a friends place to hide that he'd been drinking.

at the age of fifteen, he moved out of his parents house and into a one room apartment with the help of his sister. around this time, he stopped attending school and for the time being, taehyuk made money as a barista at a coffee shop. it was three or so months after he was living by himself that he was caught with possession of LSD. the next year, he ended up auditioning for ts entertainment.
