New Amateur Team Joins NTR

	Team Nectar, from its inception, has been dedicated to providing a place for everyone to be able to participate in esports. We wish to allow all cyberathletes to learn, to grow, and to be challenged, regardless of background. This is the mission we set out to complete every day.

	One way NTR is continuing to reach this goal is by bringing on a new TF2 amateaur team, as of 30 July 2018. This team, previously known as “Oops All Berries”, has a history with the Team Fortress 2 competitive scene, as well as a few members that had previously been with Team Nectar.

	Oops All Berries started out in Season 27 of ESEA-Open as an NA Newbie Mix team, led by Benjutsu, who played with the NTR Amateur team from its debut in UGC Season 21 through Season 25. In their first season, Oops All Berries went 5-11, then had roster changes in the off season. Meep, former NTR Amateur pocket Scout from UGC Season 24 through 26, joined the team, as well as picking up a backup in the form of Beersy, who played for NTR’s Amateur team as Roamer from partway through Season 25 into Season 26. Midway through ESEA’s twenty-eighth season, ppaleun and Address, CEO and Player Logistics Manager of Team Nectar, respectively, began to mentor Oops All Berries. At the end of this season, the team had a record of 7-9.

From now, this team will be joining Team Nectar, and with this move the players DeZ and Meep will be departing the team. Oops All Berries will be rebranded as NTR Amateur, with the existing Amateur team to be rebranded as NTR Amateur Black. Two members who were on what is now NTR Amateur Black, Beersy and Address, will be moving to the new NTR Amateur team, starting as Roamer and Medic, respectively. The team will also be bringing in its own backups, the players snarfl, zooMoo, Nodspine, and pl4stic.

The roster for the team for the coming season will be as follows: Beersy as Roamer, Benjutsu as Pocket, Hysteresis as Demoman, and Address as Medic, with the two Scouts unknown as of the publishing of this article. The backups will be as mentioned above, that being snarfl, zooMoo, Nodspine, and pl4stic.

The team captain and Roamer, Benjutsu, commented on the team joining NTR, “After having two people from NTR help coach my team in ESEA, I was very pleased to hear that NTR was willing to re-integrate me as well as my returning teammates. Previously I had played with NTR in UGC sixes for four seasons in which ppaleun and others gave me a solid foundation for competitive TF2. I have made some good friends through NTR and am looking forward to making new ones and improving my own game and others. I am proud of the atmosphere that NTR promotes and am excited to be playing and supporting the org now and in the future.”

The starting Demoman, Hysteresis, also commented, saying “I'd heard a lot about NTR through teammates during my first two seasons of TF2 6s, all of it positive. I am proud to have been selected to join an organization that values sportsmanship, professionalism, and dedication. I am excited for the opportunity to grow beyond being an amateur player.”

In addition, Beersy, starting Pocket, said “Slightly shocked when I was offered the position as operating officer. I have never seen the fruits of my labor not just in competetive, but as a person who wants to be a big player in the TF2 community in general. I have accomplished alot this year, become twitch affiliate and becoming NTR's Operating Officer for NA is a huge deal to me. I have spent only a short year with ppaleun but its been a great time spent. We had our ups and downs, and in a way NTR taught me to be more humble about criticism and being proffesional. I hope this org goes far and I will be here to push that dream forward as long as I have arms and functioning fingers. I can't wait to show everyone our new project”.
