Ancestral Wrath 4 -Shepherd of Goats-

[18:31] The echo is reasoning on the church as they slide into the building. Every step could be heard in an echo, the whisper of the wind sliding between the windows could be heard very well as well.

He silently approaches the ending of the hall, to convert back the instrinct masses, the gravity as he gently lets himself fall into the ground, one foot after the other, it creates a line of quicksilver magic that roses from underneath his foot as one touches the ground.

As he gets to the ending of the hall, he turns back to face his sister and the new Neries. The golden gaze shifts between the two as he takesa deep breath before speaking.

" Take a seat. ", he says in a soft sounding voice that has been heard in all the church because of the echo.

[18:47] The youth followed along behind the Neries at a respectful pace. He mgiht not show it but he'd taken a fascination with the race. There was something fascinating about their goat-like nature. He really thought they looked like and acted like goats. With their herding around this Chronelius like he was the daddy goat and they the little goats.
Idly he recalled a vision he'd had a few days prior, a glint into a past life of his people. He couldn't tell the when or where but he knew it was an ancestor of the Townshends. How could he tell? Well they didn't have red hair for one.

In the vision he'd seen a rocky land, green with life, a small herd of goats grazing about the cliff-side. He didn't know why he'd had a vision of one of his ancestors watching over goats. Yet, it had happened. For a long time he considered asking another Oscuri about it. Though, finally that'd just been cast aside.
With a blink he'd focus onChronelius, he'd asked for the Neries to take a seat. Taking a few steps forward, small light steps barely audible in the near-empty stone church. Calmly he took a seat at one of the pews. He had been bored the last time he listened to Chronelius.

The young lad's frown deepened as he thought back to that. It'd been painfully boring in fact he'd wanted nothing more than to never hear about this dreamer again. Yet, there was something soothing about the tenets he'd spoken. Zethra's take on them had been interesting as well and it all still stayed in line with Azrealism. Truthfully? Perhaps he was just interested in learning something new. Besides this was Liriens family, he'd need to get to know them more if for no other reason than so Aldrah didn't blast him with ice for being at their house again.

[19:10] This was getting off track. He couldn't listen very well with Zethra and Ascalon. This forced him to Plan B. Sit alone in the back.

[19:14] Ascalon scratched his head a bit. He'd glance over towards the screaming child. After a moment he simply stood up and walked over. Handing them a flag, he was an Oscuri. He didn't need a flag to broadcast who or what he was.

[19:17] Chronelius is more than proud to preach the blessed tenets to a new Neries in Dawn. He holds a very high importance to the Dreamer, since it is who that has gifted life to the Neries.

The Neries would make a slight nod, the golden gaze shifting between the others sitting in the church. Watching him, listening his preaches. The is his sister, Zethra, the Oscuri that thinks Neries are goats, Ascalon, the new Neries and his little brother sitting not far. He shows an usual neutral grin.

He takes a deep breath as he pushes his lips with a bit of air as he thinks about what is he gonna say before speaking.

" Us Neries are created, rebirthed by the Dreamer, our god as we were living in the Realm of the Dream. ", he pauses. " The Dreamer gave us the opportunity to live, in another world, but in exchange for this, she pronounced four blessed tenets. ", he saysin a soft sounding voice.

The Dreamer is the one that gave the gift of life to the Neries. It is the god that we preach with pride.

Chronelius is more than happy to speak about the tenets to the young soul, Shinzo that is sitting in the church, listening to his words.

He begins with the first tenet.

" The first blessed tenet is to pursue progress. Dot not permit the others to chain the advancement, and pursue new avenue for the man to succeed. ", he pauses. " Create a new path, share it if you think it is the best one. Everyone deserves a chance to follow a better path, it is your role to show it. "

Such is progress. An army grow better if there is someone to show them the path.

Now he continue with the second tenet.

" The second blessed tenet is to pursue truth. Understand others, and learn their views, act with humanity. ", he pauses. " It is by understanding other's views that you learn. IT is by learning that you gain knowledge. It is with knowledge that you acquire wisdom. ", he affirms in a soft sounding voice.

It is by acquiring other's knowledge that you gain knowledge yourself.

Now he follows with the third blessed tenet.

" The third blessed tenet is to pursue stability. Work establish unity amongst man, and offer aid in those in needs. ", he pauses. " If a man can be strong, imagine an army of them. If everyone helps each others, everyone will grow together. It is how a unity grows to a legion. It is how a legion grows into an army. "

Now the fourth tenet.

" The fourth blessed tenet is to temper progress with mercy, truth with wisdom, and stability with justice. Do not compromise your morals for short term gain. "

Those are the four tenets pronounced by the dreamer itself. But it is not the last tenet, there is a fifth one. A fifth one from Syracuse Feng疵i, a Neries that is seen as a man of honor by Chronelius, a man that has lived his life as every others Neries should, an example of success.

" Now a fifth blessed tenet. But may or may not be from the dreamer itself, but is from a Neries that has grown in honor. A man that i admired highly, i even still admire him. His name is Syracuse Fengari. ', he pauses. " It is to pursue freedom. Over soul, and one's understanding of the world. ", he says in a soft sounding voice.

He makes a slight nod as the golden gaze shifts toward the young Neries.

" It is by living under those blessed tenets that you will live as a devoted Neries. Devoted to his godess. ", he pauses. " Are you willing to live under those tenets young soul? ", he asks

He already new the teachings but explained like this was rather new to him. Someone who explains it in great detail. He definitely needed to memorize these things. Including the one with Syracuse saying to Pursue Freedom.

He smirks "I'm sure glad you explained it better then how it was explained to me."

[19:30] Zethra heard this lecture at least twice now, and she hardly tuned in this time around. Not intentionally, she just heard it that many times. It was just a blur of words she heard and could fill in on her own.

Sky blue hues glanced to the Neries behind her, to the Oscuri next to her, and finally to her brother in the front row. She wondered how all of them would react to the presentation for the first time.

How did she react to it the first time?.. -Oh right, there was an excitement she felt. She wanted to remember all the info Chrono gave her and impress him by simply reciting it back to him like a game of verbal catch. She wanted to learn and know more about herself.

Lately the girl had been scared to look into herself more. Even with all the changes she made and development had, she still felt almost identical to the person she was 2 years ago... To the person who let that mistake happen. It haunted her even now.

[19:31] Grirsh happily sets the flag down next to him, as he readjusts himself in his seat. His tiny little legs weren't nearly long enough to actually touch the ground, so they just kinda dangled there!

In all honesty he had no idea why he came to the church, he was just bored and looking for people, so he figured the church wasn't a bad place to start! Turns out, he was right! There were a bunch of people here, talking about the dreamer!

Oh boy, those were a lot of words... Too many words one might say. Oh god, he was getting bored, sweet Azreal, he was gonna fall asleep. No! He must stay strong, he couldn't afford to fall asleep now! Not while his older brother was trying really hard!

Sadly he was ten year old with a short attention span, this was inevitable. So despite his best efforts to keep himself awake, he fails. Not due to Chronelius' thing being boring, or him not caring. He was just an idiot.

So there he was about to fall sleep on the bench. His body began to slump over, only for his face to come crashing into the flag he had set down next to him. Which needless to say, woke the poor kid up immediately... Riiight, as the service was over.

Well shit, he really messed that up, didn't he?

[19:32] Ascalon looked over towards Chronelius as he spoke, listing the tenets out once again to the gathered masses. None of them conflicted with the truths of Azreal and yet he couldn't recall any of his ancestor ever worshipping this Dreamer. His emerald hues seemed to bore into the older Neries.

Steadily focusing upon him as if he was trying to understand why this goat person would worship something over Azreal. Who were they to worship anything over the savior of Humanity? Yet, his broiling indignation was halted with a sneeze. He'd bring his hands up to cover his face as he did so. Reaching into his pocket he'd pull out a hankerchief and start to wipe himself off.

After a moment or two of cleaning he'd wonder why he was getting so mad in the first place. He'd shake his head for a moment, maybe he'd just gotten worked up? It didn't feel like he'd been having a vision of anykind. He'd shake his head a few more times before piping up.

"What does the Dreamer have to do with Azreal?"

He'd glance at Zethra for a moment, before adding on another quick question.

"And what does this have to do with mana eating?"

[19:46] The Neries' gaze shifts toward the Oscuri as he asks his question.

The first question. What does the Dreamer have to do with Azrael? The Dreamer is not the same thing than Azrael, those are two different gods.

He makes a slight nod as he takes a deep breath before speaking.

" The Dreamer and Azrael are two different gods, from two different religion. Someone could totally worship the Dreamer without worshipping Azrael. ", he affirms.

Now the next question.

And what does this have to do with the mana eating?

It a question that hasn't been asked a lot and it would require more researches in the subject. It is interesting how Chronelius has never taught about it.

" The mana eating is done with a pearl in our liimb, or in rare occasion, on the forehead. ", he pauses " Itis the pearl of Neberia, i heard it is a gift of Sareen. But i am unsure, i shall do some researches about it. I will come back to you whenever i have precise answer to your question, it will be more than a pleasure to give you a precise answer. ", he affirms

[19:55] Chronelius Leverd Nina says, "Because as a Neries, it is right to worship the one that gave me the opportunity to be here."
[19:55] Zethra Nina Leverd says, "Yeah.. Not to mention the Dreamer is kind of cooler.. But Necromancy iss pretty neat."
[19:56] Ascalon Zanders says, "Azreal gave you the opportunity, not some dream."
[19:56] Chronelius Leverd Nina says, "Hm..."

[19:56] Ascalon frowned, it didn't matter how cool the Dreamer was.
