  1. -------Lineage 2 FAQ-------
  2. -Q. What can I use the wiki for?
  3. A. Not much. Basic class/spell information, where NPCs are, and what drops from different mobs is what tends to be accurate.
  4. -Q. What race/class should I pick?
  5. A. Play whatever you want but a mage would be preferred and we don't really need dwarfs, archers or dagger assassins.
  6. -Q. How do I join the clan?
  7. A. Post your IGN in thread and wait for a friend request from whoever is on. There is usually someone with the thread open.
  8. -Q. What quests should I do?
  9. A. The only quests you really need to do are your profession quests at 20 and 40. You can also get a full set of armor at 25.
  10. -Q. How do I level then?
  11. A. Find place you can comfortably kill things and grind until 20.
  12. -Q. Where would that be?
  13. A. 1-3 Gremlins
  14. 4-10 Go to starting town and find a quest to point you in the right direction or Map -> World Info -> Hunting Zone
  15. 11-14 See above
  16. 15-20 Teleport to Gludio using the gatekeeper in your starting village then walk east a bit.
  17. -Q. What is the red option for on the gatekeeper?
  18. A. Takes you to Giran Harbor where most of the player shops are (search option in "skills" tab in bottom left) You can use this as a cheap way to get to the Town of Giran with a scroll of escape.
  19. -Q. Now I'm 20 what do I do?
  20. A. Get your next profession using google or the wiki to find it if you have. This is where you pick your final class if you haven't already so be careful.
  21. -Q. I got my first profession quest done, now what?
  22. A. The best way to level to 55 is Raid Bosses you might be able to find parties for them in LFG just left of your exp bar.
  23. -Q. I can't find a party for RBs.
  24. A. 20-30 Abandoned Camp or Map -> World Info -> Hunting Zone
  25.
  26. -Q. Where do I buy arrows?
  27. A. Grocery store.
  28. -Q. Where do I buy mana potions?
  29. A. You don't. Either sit or get better at managing your mana.
  30. -Q. It wont let me learn a skill because I "don't have the correct items" what is going on?
  31. A. You need a spell book. These can either be bought from Gludin grocery NPC, an Aden NPC or drop from a specific mob. Reference wiki.
  32. -Q. Where do I buy "random item X"?
  33. A. If it isn't in the grocery store, or weapon shop, then it's probably in player run shops. These become more prominent as you progress or you can teleport to Giran Harbor at any gatekeeper (red option).
  34. -Q. What do I do with these exp scrolls?
  35. A. Save them for Raid Bosses (levels 20+)
  36. -Q. What do I do with these Herbs of Progress?
  37. A. Save them for Raid Bosses (levels 20+) They don't actually leave your inventory regardless of what the description says.
  38. -Q. I'm not a dwarf, what do I do with these crafting materials?
  39. A. If it seems like a generic mat (stem, thread, etc) keep for the clan warehouse, otherwise sell it at grocery store.
  40.
  41. ---Raid Bosses---
  42. -Q. What are Raid Bosses?
  43. A. Bosses with massive health pools that spawn once or twice a day in specific spots on the map
  44. -Q. Do I need a party?
  45. A. A full one.
  46. -Q. Should I make a party myself?
  47. A. Probably not, you will fuck something up.
  48. -Q. How Long does a Raid Boss (RB) take?
  49. A. At lower levels it can take as long as 2 hours but generally expect 1 hour. About 20 minutes once you reach level 50-55.
  50. -Q. This Raid Boss stuff is confusing what is going on?
  51. A. People usually bring high level buffers for the low level parties to help them. This usually involves bouncing them in and out of parties. If they get to close to the RB while casting buffs they get silenced so they sit far away.
  52. -Q. What does a RB party look like?
  53. A. Besides whatever high level buffers someone brought The actual party usually has 1 tank, at least 1 healer, and everyone else with a bow.
  54. -Q. Why is the tank running around in circles?
  55. A. Healers can't keep up with RB damage until 45-50, this is why everyone brings a bow.
  56. -Q. The Rb is about to die, what do I do.
  57. A. 1) Expand the RB HP bar by dragging the right side of the box
  58. 2) When it only has a bit of HP left stop attacking and use exp buffs
  59. a) Exp scroll
  60. b) Hat buff from lvl 15 daily missions (bottom right above skill book)
  61. c) Herb of Progress or fish stew (Use herb if you have it if not you can find player run shops buy from stews in any town)
  62. d) Clan buff (open up clan and click clan rewards in top right)
  63. 3) Someone will usually say "OH" or "overhit" this means to stop attacking normally and instead only use abilities that have "over-hit" in their description. You may or may not have one.
  64. -Q. 9 or more sealed runes dropped and I was given one for some reason. What do I do with it?
  65. A. It's standard to distribute runes amongst the party. Either put them in cwh, teleport to GH and sell them as is for 100k-120k or open them and hope to get an othell that can be sold for 700k-900k.
  66.
  67. -Q. I just feel like zoning out or afk'ing for a few hours, what do I do?
  68. A. Find the fishing NPC next to any grocer and buy a 1 day fishing poll, bait, and Fishing soul shot. Find any body of water and fish.
  69. -Q. What are the different grades of equipment?
  70. A. NG lvl 0+, D lvl 20+, C lvl 40+, B lvl 52+, A 61+
  71. -Q. Why do people use kk and kkk to mean million and billion?
  72. A. Russians that were brought up under communism can't count past 1,000.
