  1. Case File #299-1110:
  2. For the past few months there have been a wave of cyber-attacks in New York from malicious hacker organization calling themselves CyberStorm. Our operative, classified as Henry Mulligan, was deep undercover in the organization and had successfully acquired the identities of the members. He had one more day undercover before returning to HQ, however, a miscalculation had occurred that could not be identified at the time. The events that occurred has been documented and archived. This is a summary of the events that occurred on that day…
  3. Mulligan was at a café enjoying a nice cup of coffee and a bagel. He was watching the news waiting on a refill for his coffee. During this time of peace and calmness, Mulligan felt a vibration from his pocket. He checks his phone and sees he received a text from a restricted number. Mulligan opens the text and sees something that makes him drop his coffee. In bold letters, the text says “You are compromised.” Within an instant, Henry leaves his table with cash for the breakfast and exits the café.
  4. Henry knows he has to get to HQ before his pursuers did, he thinks as he merges into the busy crowds of New York. On his way he purposely bumps into someone, dropping his phone on the ground and leaving it there so he could not be tracked. He apologizes to the bystander and continues walking. He stops at a traffic light, waiting for the light to turn so he could go across. The light turns, and he walks across with the crowd of people staying inconspicuous. As he was halfway through the cross walk, a shout could be heard from somewhere and frantic screams as a fast approaching car was barreling towards the crossing traffic.
  5. Mulligan with his quick thinking and reflexes, got himself and a few others out of the way of the runaway car, which shortly crashed into a nearby light pole. As the car zoomed past, there was no person in the driver’s seat. Apparently, the shouting was coming from the owner of the car, who had no idea how his electric car got out of park. With the spoken words of “electric car”, Henry knew what had occurred was no coincidence, he calmly walked away from the scene and away from the public. While walking through empty alley ways, Henry realized the hackers had the whole city’s electronics under their control and did not care if they harmed bystanders in their attempt to dispose of him. Which forced his hand to either separate from the crowd and make himself visible or face civilian causalities.
  6. He did not want to harm people not involved, so he kept to himself and kept walking towards HQ. However, that did not last long as four hooded figures surrounded him, stopping him in his tracks. Henry raised his hands, showing he was surrendering. One of the figures raise his hand, showing he had a gun. With a sigh under his breath and an apologetic expression for his would-be attackers. With quick reactions and reflexes, Henry quickly subdued his four would be attackers, and kept walking. Henry knew he was almost at HQ; however, he would be walking into dangerous water because he would have to walk across the most technological drawbridge to get there.
  7. As Henry got closer to the bridge, he could see cameras all over the bridge, and that worried him greatly, but he could not get to HQ without crossing it. Moving forward onto the foreboding bridge, nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. Until the drawbridge decided to lift upwards, even though there was no ship coming. Henry looked back from where he was walking and saw four familiar men aiming their guns at him and firing. Guess there not being subtle anymore thought Henry as he quickly scaled the rising drawbridge and avoiding incoming bullets. One bullet grazed his shoulder, shooting pain into his forearm, making him stumble a little and almost get hit again. However, he avoided the shot and made it to the top. Looking at the gap between him and the other side, Mulligan knew it would be a difficult jump, but the alternate option was out of the equation. Henry jumped without hesitation and nearly fell into a raging river, but he did grab the edge of the lifting bridge, even with his injured arm. Henry scrambled up the other side of the bridge and quickly sliding down the other end before the slanted bridge became a vertical wall that would be impossible to get down. Landing on the ground legs running, Henry rushed to HQ.
  8. As he reached the entrance of his place of work, he stopped and regained his composure. With a look of calm, Henry entered the building, surviving the storm and completing his mission.
  9. -End of Summary.
