Final Destination: Ponyville (not AiE)

>It was a normal day in Equestria
>No Anon's running around or anything
>Everypony was going about their business
>Suddenly a wormhole opens above Ponyville
>A long narrow platform emerges from it
>As it slowly lands on the ground in the middle of the town, four figures are spotted on it, a few more up in the air above
>Seems like they're brawling with each other

>One stock
>No time limit
>No items
>Final Destination

... Sorry, it's a ridiculous intro, the story itself is rather detailed; not proof-read much however, so bear with me.

>Twilight and Fluttershy had been hanging out in town with Applejack at her stand
>AJ was running her family stand for the time being, selling the usual apple-themed goodies
>As the wormhole opens up, the platform casting a shadow down across Ponyville, the trio stop what they're doing and look up in awe
AJ>"Wha... What in the hay is that!?"
>Twilight's eyes widen at the sight
>She studies pretty much everything involving science and magic, and she was dumbstruck
Twi>"I, have noooo idea, but it doesn't look good. We might want to evacuate the town."
>Fluttershy was already hiding behind the apple stand
>Before any of them could say anymore, a powerful clash was heard coming from above the platform, followed by a blast
>A green-hooded figure is blasted off the platform, falling towards the streets near the three ponies
>The platform is low enough to the ground now, the creature sticks his landing, looking back up and readying his sword
>Another figure, with a bigger sword, is falling rapidly straight down toward the other, aiming his sword down with him
>The hooded one manages to avoid the attack, and they both charge back at each other, their swords clashing with great force

>As Link and Ike take their duel to the streets of Ponyville, the platform lands, leveling with the ground along one of the main streets through town
>The other fighters end up landing in various spots around town
>Most of the civilian ponies at this time have already began to panic, taking off out of town, or hiding in their houses
>Still on the platform, Bowser and Donkey Kong are duking it out
>Twilight and AJ step out into the open
>From their vantage point near town-square, they can see Link and Ike who are very close by, Bowser and DK a bit further down the street, and...
>From the side street, Samus was walking up to them, looking around, arm cannon ready to fire at a moments notice
>And that moment was now
>Twi and AJ didn't notice, but coming up through the market behind them at ludicrous speed was Sonic
>Samus spots him and begins firing towards him, some shots heading for the ponies as Sonic speeds by
>Twilight reacts quickly enough and puts up a force field, deflecting the shots
>Sonic speeds by Samus and around another corner in the distance, giving a quick smirk to Samus as he passed by
>Samus turns around and starts running in the direction Sonic went

Twi>"Just what in the heck is going on here!? Who and what are these creatures?"
AJ>"Yeah, and just what in tarnation are they doin' makin' Ponyville their battleground?"
???>"Twilight! What's going on, are you okay!?"
Twi>"Spike! Just who I need to see!"
>Spike comes running through the market up to Twilight, trying to catch his breath
Twi>"I don't know who they are, what they're doing, or why they're here, but you need to send a message to Princess Celestia right away, and tell her what's going on!"
Spike>"Oh, uh *huff* sure thing Twi!"
Twi>"See if the Princess can send some of the royal army to help or something. And get back home, it's too dangerous here!"
Spike>"Yeah, good idea, but hey what about you!?"
AJ>"Spike, ah think Twilight means to take this fight to them, and I'm fixin' to join her. We gotta protect Ponyville, but you gotta get to safety!"
>Spike obliges, writing on a scroll as he takes off back home

>The ponies look back over to Samus
>She had suddenly stopped
>Out from between a couple houses, comes a missle, floating along rather slowly
>It turns toward Samus, boosting it's speed
>Samus drops into a Morphball and rolls away just as the missle detonates
>She stands back up and begins firing her beam cannon in into the nearby bar, as a couple grenades come flying out and exploding near her
>Samus flips back away from the grenades, takes aim with her canon for a moment before firing a Super Missle at the bar that Snake had apparently been in
>Snake dives out the back just in time, as the super missle wrecks the front half of the bar into dust
>Samus immediately takes persuit of Snake

>Meanwhile, a couple blocks down the street...
>Kirby comes plummeting out of the sky, bouncing off the ground in front of Sugercube Corner
>Wolf dashes in at full speed to get the jump on him before he can fully recorver
>Unfortunately for Wolf, Kirby retaliates with a spinning kick to Wolf's face, tossing him back into the storefront window of a building across the street
>Just before Kirby begins moving again, Pinkie Pie steps out of SugarCube Corner to see what the commotion is
>She's eating a piece of cake
>Kirby spots her
>This won't end well

>Kirby immediately attempts to suck up Pinkie Pie, along with her cake
>Pinkie starts giggling, not putting up any fight at all
>She is swallowd by Kirby
>Kirby stands still for a moment
>He suddenly begins glowing in a very bright white light, as if he were evolving
>Moments later, the light fades away
>And out comes... Pinkie Pie...
>As if nothing ever happened
>Except Kirby was missing...
>...wat

>Pinkie giggles "Well that was silly!"
>Twilight teleports over to Pinkie "Pinkie, are you okay!? What happened?"
PP>"Oh Twilight, I'm fine! You think somepony could just come up and eat ME?"
>Wolf hops up, shocked at what just happened
>He rushes toward Pinkie, firing his blaster on the way
>Pinkie just bounces around, dodging the lasers with ease
>Wolf gets near enough to perform his Fire Wolf attack toward her
>Twilight begins to cast a spell, hoping to counter Wolf before he lands his attack
>Pinkie starts sucking in air, catching Wolf off guard and taking him in easily
>Turns out neither of them liked that
>Pinkie spits him out with great force, hurling him into another building across the street
PP>"This is so much fun Twilight, you just GOT to try it!"
Twi>*sigh*"You're impossible Pinkie... just what happened to you anyway?"
PP>"Well, I think I ate that pink blob and gained his powers. It feels pretty good!"

>Bowser and Donkey Kong continue to fight, throwing eatch other into various buildings and any sturctures they can find
>DK seems to be winning, slapping Bowsers shit all over the place
>Bowser spots something out of the corner of his eye, and jumps back out of the fight
>DK doesn't persue right away, instead stretching and preparing for round 2
>A smash ball had flown out of the wormhole and was traveling low to the ground through the streets
>It was coming up behind DK and flies past him
>Bowser snatches it from the air and punches it to the ground immediately, breaking it apart
>...
>...smash balls?
>Really?
>Who the fuck turned those on?
>Somebody is going to die

>Bowser takes in the smash ball's power, transforming into Giga Bowser
>DK begins his assault again anyway, thinking he can still do some damage
>Bowser grabs him and throws him down into a building, continuing with a couple punches and stomps
>A small explosion is heard, as a beam of light shoots up momentarily from where DK was thrown

>Twilight and AJ watch in horror
Twi>"Okay, that's not good. We need to team up and take him down!"
AJ>"Well yeah, but... Just how do ya figure we'll manage takin' down such a beast?"
Twi>"Fluttershy! We need your help, fly up and distract him for us, I have a plan!"
FS>*eep!*"Um.. I think, I'll just... stay here... if that's okay..."
Twi>"Fluttershy, we need everypony working together here, or Ponyville might not exist much longer!"
FS>"I... well, he's um... really scary, and.."
>Applejack gets an idea, and hopes that the readers catch the reference
AJ>"Hey, Fluttershy, ah think maybe that big guy just needs his back straighten'ed out, ya know? Maybe he's just angry from a ton'a stress or somethin'?"
>This catches Fluttershy by surprise
FS>"Are, you... sure, Applejack?"
AJ>"Sure is possible sugarcube! Why don't ya give it a shot, try and calm him down?"
FS>"You know what? Maybe you're right!"
>Fluttershy nervously agrees, and flys on up toward Giga Bowser
>She flys right up behind him, then shoots straight for the back of his head with her back leg out
>The kick connects, and Giga Bowser is knocked forward, stumbling to the ground
>He smashes into a couple buildings, including part of Carousel Boutique
>Giga Bowser wastes no time getting back up, turning around and moving his face right up to Fluttershy
FS>"I... I hope that helped work out some kinks in your neck, Mr... whatever you are... Now, I think we should move on t-"
>AJ should feel pretty horrible
>Sure, Fluttershy got an amazing hit off, but she was dead meat now
>Giga Bowser snatches up Fluttershy with a swing of his arm, squeezing tightly

???>"My... my house! Just what in blazes is going on out here anyway!?"
>Rarity emerges from her half-wrecked home and place of business
>She spots what had done this, and that it was now holding her friend in a death-grip
>Rarity becomes noticeably angry, now focusing a ton of magic into her horn for something powerful
R>"YOU LET HER GO THIS INSTANT YOU BEAST!"
>Giga Bowser turns and looks down to Rarity
>She slams both of her front hooves to the ground, focusing all her magic through them
>In front of her, the ground begins shaking wildly, as a barrage of large gems shoot out from all around, pummeling Giga Bowser back with enough force to send him tumbling to the ground again
Twi>"Whoa, I've never seen her do something like that before. Amazing!"
>Fluttershy is released from his grasp before he hits the ground, and she zips away behind Rarity
FS>"Th.. that was, amazing Rarity! Thank you.."
R>"Well now, no need to thank me dear, he had it coming for wrecking my home!"
>Giga Bowser, now laying alongside the front of a few buildings, transorms back into his normal form
AJ>"I think it's time to finish him fer good Twilight! Stay there an' ready up somethin' good and strong!"
>AJ trots over toward Bowser, who's slow to get up
>She walks around him, making sure she's on the opposide side as Twilight and that he's facing AJ
>Bowser gets up, staring right at AJ, furious at what just happened
AJ>"Time fer you to leave, beast. This is what ya get fer wreckin' mah town!"
>AJ quickly turns around and bucks Bowser in the stomach with both hind legs
>Years of bucking apple trees was paying off now!
>Bowser is sent flying through the air towards Twilight
>AJ trots out of the way of what's about to come
>Twilight fires her spell, shooting a large beam of energy from her horn directly into Bowser
>In just a moment, a blast is heard coming from Bowser with an accompanying ray of light
>And then, he was gone
>Twilight stops her spell before much collateral damage is done
>Her and AJ sprint over to Rarity and Fluttershy
>Rarity is weakend quite a bit from her attack, but puts on a smile and aknowledges everypony for the teamwork
Twi>"Rarity, that was incredible! I had no idea you had that in you."
R>"You know, I didn't either, but that foul beast ruined my glorious home! And when I saw him holding poor Fluttershy, well I just couldn't contain myself."

>At this time, emerging from between a couple busted-down buildings, is Link, staring down the four ponies
>He gets just a few yards from them before they notice
>Twi, Aj, and Rarity all share a gasp!
>Fluttershy eeps and goes back to hiding behind Rarity
AJ>"It's that green fella from earlier!"
Twi>"Yeah, he must have finished his fight with that other guy. Get ready girls, he seems like a strong one!"
>Suddenly
>Out of fucking nowhere
>A pink anvil drops from the sky and lands directly on top of Link
>The four ponies look on in shock and confusion
>The avnil transforms, into..
>Who else... Pinkie Pie!
PP>"Hey girls! Twilight, I'm serious, you HAVE to try this!"
Twi>"Pinkie! How can you take this so lightly, our town is under attack and all you can do is giggle and make fun of it all!"
PP>"Oh come on Twilight, I helped out didn't I? Besides, I always have fun whenever possible, you should know that!"

>Link, still on the ground right behind Pinkie, jumps up and bashes her with his shield, throwing her across the ground only to end up right in front of the other ponies
>"Pinkie!" they all shout
>Link gets in an offensive stance, readying his Master Sword and fueled with rage
>He focuses his gaze on the five ponies; his new enemies
>The TriForce on his wrist begins to glow
>He recognizes this, and gives a smirk to the ponies in front of him
>Pinkie is helped up by the other four, and by the time they notice Link making his move it's too late
>Link shoots at them with lightning speed, the power of the TriForce surrounding them all
>He gracefully swings his Master Sword with speed, accuracy, and power, striking all five ponies multiple times
>In a final charged-up arching swing, he sends the ponies flying, crashing across the ground and into various structures and pieces of rubble
>Just as the final strike had hit, Link spotted Kirby being ejected from Pinkie Pie
>He lands off behind a nearby house
>Link sees each of the five ponies motionless on the ground, and decides to go after Kirby

>Kirby stumbles out onto the main street through the center of town, and takes in his surroundings
>He's sure Wolf is around somewhere
>Random shots and small explosions are heard nearby, no doubt Snake and Samus
>But there was someone else missing...
>Suddenly, it hit him
>...Literally
>A blue blur comes racing down the street, jump-kicking Kirby into the nearby house
>Sonic stands there a moment to look around as well, when he hears someone coming
>He jumps back just in time to avoid a slash of Link's Master Sword as he jumps from the roof of that same house
Sonic>"You're too slow!"
>Link jumps at him, swinging again and again, to no avail
>Kirby takes this time to make a surprise jump-kick of his own, to the back of Link's head
>He's able to land it, sending Link stumbling forward, though he's quick to recover
>Link and Kirby face each other, ready for another round
>Sonic begins running circles around them, getting in a few smacks from time to time

>Seeing what had just happened to her friends, and that three of their enemies were having their own fight nearby, Rainbow Dash moves in at full speed
>She flys down to the street just a short ways away from where Link, Kirby, and Sonic were
>As she's about to hit the ground, Rainbow instantly changes direction, straight to her new worst enemies
>As tears escape from her eyes to the unkown state of her friends, she screams in fury as she approaches her targets at full speed
>They all stop and look, too late to react
>As soon as Rainbow hits them, she shatters the sound barrier, producing a sonic rainboom, sending each one rocketing separate directions, through multiple buildings
>As they were still traveling, two of them erupt into a ray of light accompanied by a small boom
>Rainbow immediately continues flying, and ends up next to the other five ponies knocked out by Link
>Much to her relief, Twilight, AppleJack, and Fluttershy are still concious and slowly getting up

RD>"Ohmygosh, girls are you all okay!?"
>Twilight is the first to respond, still weary from the attack
Twi>"Uhh, yeah, I think so... Glad you could make it Rainbow, this might not have ended so well without you around."
RD>"Ha, you kidding? Looks like the battle of the century taking place down here, I wouldn't miss it for the world!"
AJ>"Well, that's good ah guess, 'cuz... it aint over yet."
>Applejack nods to Rainbow, signaling her to turn around
>Rainbow gets the hint and turns around, only to see Sonic standing a few yards back
Sonic>"I don't know what you are, but I gotta hand it to ya. That was a great display of speed and power back there!"
>Rainbow chuckles at the compliment
RD>"Thanks, but you haven't seen anything yet!"
Sonic>"Is that so? What, you think you can keep up with me?"
RD>"You just so happen to be looking at the fastest flier in all of Equestria!"
Sonic>"Ha! Care to test that against the fastest creature in all of Mobius?"
RD>"You're on!"
Sonic>"Alright! Catch me if you can!"
RD>"Bring it on, hedgehog!"
>Sonic takes off, Rainbow right behind him

>Fluttershy is checking on Rarity and Pinkie Pie
Twi>"Oh no, how are they doing Fluttershy?"
FS>"Oh, well.. they're both alive and stable, just... unconcious."
Twi>"Thank Celestia they're oka-"
>Twilight is cut off by a large explosion nearby, followed by the sound of a large machine running
>...as if they'd know what that sounded like
AJ>"That sure doesn't sound good.."
Twi>"Looks like we're not done either... Fluttershy, can you look after Rarity and Pinkie?"
FS>"Of course."
Twi>"Applejack, are you okay to come with me?"
AJ>"Sure thing sugarcube, I'm not goin' down without a fight!"
Twi>"Fluttershy, get them to safety if you can, we'll take care of everything else."
FS>"I'll take them to my house."
Twi>"Thanks Fluttershy. Let's go Applejack!"

>Twilight and Applejack head toward the sound of the machine, and occasional blasts coming from it
>They rush through Ponyville, moving around a few corners, when they find the source
>...Well, they don't know what it is, but to avoid a useless description,
>It's a Landmaster tank
>Whelp, looks like they found Wolf
>The two ponies find the tank in time to see it barrel-roll right onto Sugarcube Corner, demolishing it completely
AJ>"Oh wow, just what in the hay is that thing?"
Twi>"I don't know, but it just destroyed Sugarcube Corner. It's lucky Pinkie wasn't here to see that, or he'd be a gonner already!"
AJ>"Ha yeah, aint that the truth. Well, how 'bout we take her place and take this thing down!"
>The Landmaster aims it's turret up the main road at the Town Hall, which is surprisingly still undamaged
>...well, until now that is
>The turret fires a large blast, striking the center of the Town Hall, which soon collapses into a pile of rubble
Twi>"Oh no! I sure hope no p0nies were hiding out in there.."
AJ>"Hey, uh, Twilight? I aint one to back out on a fight, but... ah think I'm outmatched here... You got some strong magic, think you can handle this?"
Twi>"Applejack, I... *sigh* You may be right. Let me take some shots at it and see what I can do."

>Twilight reveals a spellbook, and finds a good one to start with
>She conjures up some head-sized magic projectiles, and fires them at high-speed toward the Landmaster
>The projectiles pummel the shield of the tank, slightly wearing it down but nowhere near enough to deal any damage
>The Landmaster rotates it's turret toward Twilight and Applejack
Twi>"Applejack, get close!"
>Applejack jumps at Twilight as she puts up a shield
>The Landmaster fires, hitting the shield directly
>Twilight didn't have time to strengthen it much
>The shield was able to protect them from a bulk of the blast, but still breaks and knocks the two ponies back a few yards
>Still lying on the ground, Twilight looks back at the tank
>It's turret aimed into the air above them
>She looks back the opposite direction and spots Rainbow flying around back and forth after Sonic
>Looking back at the tank, she can see the turret somehow following Rainbow
>It's about to fire
>Twilight's horn glows for a quick voice-amplification spell
Twi>"RAINBOW, LOOKOUT!"
>Her voice booms through the town, aquiring Rainbow's attention
>The tank fires directly at her, as she just barely stops in time for the shot to go right in front of her
>Unfortunately, it may have missed it's primary target, but it still hit something
>...Twilights house
>Twilight's eyes widen at the sight of a large chunk now missing from the giant tree she called home, many other parts now on fire
Twi>"My.. house..."
>Her face turns white
Twi>"SPIIIIKE!!!"

>The Landmaster begins rolling toward Twilight and Applejack
>Applejack struggles to get up
AJ>"Twilight, we gotta move and rethink our strategy! We gotta take this thing down!"
>Twilights horn begins to glow
>As well as... her eyes
Twi>"Applejack. Get away from here. I will handle this."
AJ>"I aint gonna leave you here Twi-"
Twi>"NOW APPLEJACK!"
>Applejack looks on in shock, as Twilight's entire body begins to glow and levitate off the ground
AJ>"Uh, sure, I'll just uh, get goin' now.."
>Applejack begins running away from Twilight and the Landmaster, when they hear a voice come from the tank
Wolf>"Can't let you do that Star F- I mean, little orange Pony."
>The Landmaster stops moving a few feet from Twilight, and aims it's turret toward Applejack
>Before Wolf can get a lock, his targeting window is blocked by a pissed-off levitating Twilight
>She is eminating a ridiculous amount of energy, her eyes completely pure white
Twi>"THIS IS FOR SPIKE! BE GONE YOU ABOMINATION!"
>Twilight unleashes an awesome power outward in every direction, incinerating the Landmaster and leaving a large crater in it's wake
>With a now-familiar boom sound and an upward-shooting beam of light, Wolf's fate was sealed

>Twilight's energy empties, as she slowly returns to her normal form and rests back on the ground
>Twilight, her vengeance fulfilled, passes out
>Applejack had stopped, looking back at the new crater in the middle of Ponyville and Twilight on the ground next to it
AJ>"TWILIGHT!"
>Applejack begins a full sprint back toward Twilight
>When she arrives, she spots Sonic standing a short ways up the street beyond the crater
>He's looking on in amazement
Sonic>"Whoa, what an awesome display of power. Someone like that could really fit in with us!"
>Just as he finishes speaking, he's tackled from behind by Rainbow Dash
>They both roll into the crater, Dash ending up on top pinning Sonic to the ground
RD>"Gotchya again, hedgehog!"
Sonic>"Alright alright, I admit, you're the fastest thing I've ever ran up against. But let's see how well your speed serves you in a true figh-"
>Sonic is cut off, as he looks on the ground next to him, to a perfectly shaped emerald, likely left behind by Rarity's attack
Sonic>"No waayyy..."
>He frees one of his arms and grabs the emerald
>In a sudden burst of power, he breaks Rainbows grasp and jumps up to a standing position behind her
>Rainbow takes flight and gives Sonic a smirk
RD>"So, ready to actually fight back now 'eh? Are you sure you're ready to get beat again!?"
>Sonic gives a devious laugh
Sonic>"You know, I just love that ego of yours. Too bad it'll be your undoing!"
>Sonic levitates the emerald above him, as six more suddenly spill out of his pockets, levitating with the other
Sonic>"Now, bear witness to the awesome power, of the Chaos Emeralds!"
>The Emeralds hovering around Sonic begin glowing, as they all join together and merge into his body
>Sonic begins to glow, his body turning gold, 'hair' spiking up, and giving off a brilliant golden aura

>He begins to levitate, as he opens his eyes at Rainbow Dash, giving her an almost evil smile
>Rainbow looks a little nervous, but her ego forces her to take the bait with an excited smile on her face
>She speeds toward her foe, not having the slightest idea just what she was up against
>Super Sonic moves with such speed, he gracefully floats to the side as Dash zooms by, at the last possible moment
>Rainbow is unexpectadely met with a forceful kick to her side
>She soon recovers, awestruck at the speed of this new Super Sonic
>Dash goes right back in, this time circling around Sonic randomly
>Super Sonic remains completely still
>Eventually, Rainbow decides to attack
>She's instantly met with a brutal backhand to the face, sending her rocketing down to the ground, lying near Twilight and Applejack
AJ>"Rainbow! Are ya okay?"
>Rainbow struggles to sit up
RD>"Uh.. yeah, I'm good... His speed is awesome though, it... I, hate to say it, but... it puts me to shame..."
AJ>"Aw come on Dash, it's not like you to give up like that. You have a super move of your own, ya know, why not let him have it?"
RD>"I'm, not sure he'd give me the chance.." Rainbow says, noticing Super Sonic making his way down to them

>He suddenly stops, still about 50 feet up in the air, and looks upward
>Out from the wormhole comes another smash ball
>... dammit, really?
>It comes shooting down towards Ponyville, not far behind Sonic
>He just watches, no real interest to get it himself as it would be useless
>In the distance, jumping from roof-top to roof-top, is Samus, in a mad dash to meet up with the smash ball
>Sure enough, it floats down into an opening near the center of town, close to where the action is
>Samus leaps off the edge of a still intact building, grappling onto the smash ball and pulling it down with her
>She brings it up to the edge of her arm cannon with the grapple beam
>The smash ball shatters with the blast of her beam, taking in the power
>Super Sonic looks on with a worried look
>Rainbow notices the distraction, and takes off straight up into the sky
>Samus is charging an obscene amount of energy in her cannon, now aiming it directly at Super Sonic
>Sonic just begins to make a move toward Samus, when she unleashes the blast
>An immense beam forms out of her cannon, and shoots toward Sonic
>Sonic decides to fight back the Zero Laser head on, throwing his hands out in front him to embrace the impact
>The beam hits Sonic, pushing him back and blasting off to the sides, but not breaking through him
>Smaller parts of the beam breaking off are striking all over Ponyville and the surrounding areas
>Eventually Samus powers down, her Zero Laser weakening and soon stopping completely
>The blast had drained every bit of energy in her Varia Suit
>It begins to break apart, soon every piece of it fallen to the ground

>Zero Suit Samus emerges, fixing her gaze on Super Sonic
>He's been pushed back, scratched up a bit, but... he stands his ground, still in Super Sonic form
>He shoots an angry look toward Samus, ready to make a move
>Before he can, however, a rainbow-colored object comes plummeting down from the sky, heading straight for Super Sonic
>His anger focused at Samus, he doesn't notice until it was too late
>Rainbow collides both of her front hooves with the top of Super Sonic's head, creating another sonic rainboom just as she reaches him
>The blast sends Super Sonic rocketing into the ground, forming a new crater
>Weakened by her second rainboom, she slowly lands next to Applejack and the still unconcious Twilight, trying to catch her breath
>They look over at Samus, her attention now fixed on Rainbow and Applejack
>Rainbow notices something that wasn't there a moment ago however
>...A cardboard box
>Just sitting there, right behind Samus
>When the right moment arrives, Snake jumps out of the box, grappling onto Samus
>He spins and tosses her back down the street in a surprising feat of strength
>Samus begins to recover mid-air, about to stick her landing
>However, as soon as she touches the ground, an explosion throws her into the wall of a nearby building
>Snake doesn't waste any time; he unpins a couple frag grenades and tosses them at Samus
>She's rather quick to get up, jumping up and away from the grenades
>Samus sprints toward Snake, pulling out her plasma whip
>Snake holds his ground
>As Samus sprints by the cardboard box he had left behind, Snake smirks at Samus and activates a detonator
>The box explodes, once again sending Zero Suit Samus into a wall
Snake>"Come on, I know you're better than that!"
>Through the cloud of dust left behind by the explosions comes shots from Samus's plasma pistol, taking out Snake's detonator from his hand in the process
>She bursts through the dust cloud, engaging Snake in hand-to-hand combat
>Snake's years of CQC training is matching up nicely with Samus's years of training with the Chozo

>Elsewhere, Rainbow Dash and Applejack spot movement from the nearby crator
>Sonic, now back in his normal form, had slowly emerged from the hole he landed in
>He struggles to get up, barely able to stand on his feet
AJ>"Hey, uh Rainbow? Looks like our friend's back... you ready to finish this thing?"
RD>"Ugh... I'm not sure I can do much more, but he's probably worse off than I am... besides, I'm better than him anyway!"
AJ>"Ha, now that's the spirit! I'll get us started then, just be ready!"
>Applejack produces a lasso she apparently had on her this whole time
>She swings it around a few times before finally tossing it at Sonic
>He's still working on regaining his composure
>The lasso flies perfectly, wrapping tightly around Sonic
>Applejack swiftly pulls Sonic to the ground, then lifts him up into the air toward her
>When Sonic gets within range, still airborn, Applejack lets go of the lasso, spins around and bucks him skyward with both of her back legs
>Rainbow leaps upward, performing a few flips on the way to show off, and meets her two back legs with Sonic's chest, rocketing him to the ground
>As he smashes back into his first crator, the familiar sound and sight of a boom and upward ray of light finally finish Sonic off
>Rainbow goes back down to the ground, laying down next to Twilight in exhastion
RD>"Oh, man am I glad I don't have to deal with him anymore... *sigh* I think I'll just hang out here and keep an eye on Twilight.."
AJ>"Ya know I think I might just join ya. At least while those last two continue to fight each other, it'll give us a chance to rest up a bit.."

>Snake and Samus had been going at it for a couple minutes now
>Even after reing rocked by a few explosives, Samus was getting the upper-hand
>Seeing as to how they weren't causing any more collateral damage or hurting other ponies, Applejack and Rainbow decided to leave them be for now
>The sound of hoof-steps can be heard behind AJ and Dash
>They both look over as the pony walks next to them, stopping and watching the fight between Snake and Samus
>RD"Vinyl?"
>Sure enough, it's everyp0ny's favorite DJ, Vinyl Scratch
>She continues to look forward, and gives a little smile
>VS"Sup Dash!"
>RD"Heh, whattsup yourself? What are you doing out here?" she asks, still lying next to Twilight, too tired to get up
>Vinyl's smile goes away in an instant
>VS"That bitch took out the bar. The only bar in Ponyville. The only venue in this town I can peform in..."
>Sitting next to Vinyl was a large box, with four speakers facing outward toward the two fighters
>It had four wheels, and a big red button on top
>AJ"Hey uh, Vinyl. Just what in the heck is that thing ya got there?"
>VS"Oh, this thing?" *chuckle* "It's just my Bass Cannon!"
>She aims her "cannon" to face Snake and Samus, still oblivious to anything but themselves, and presses the red button
>Vinyl dons her trademark smile, as the cannon starts dropping some deep wubs, shaking the ground around her
>She's rocking her head to the beat as the cannon powers up
>Snake and Samus finally halt their duel and look over, eye's widening at the unusual sight
>The four speaker covers on the front open up to reveal the cannon itself, as it fires an enormous blast of energy with bass deep enough to shatter every remaining window in Ponyville
>Snake and Samus are hit before they could react, both vanishing with their own boom and ray of light
>The beam continues to travel forward, leveling multiple buildings and houses as it travels out of town

>The large platform the mysterious fighters had arrived on begins to lift off, heading upward back to the wormhole
>As it lifts a few-hundred feet up, multiple smaller platforms, seemingly made of light, start appearing above the main platform
>It travels faster and faster, and after just mere seconds, it shoots through the wormhole which closes behind it
>VS"So... anyp0ny wanna tell me just what the shit that was?"
>AJ"Ah'm pretty sure nop0ny has any idea, Vinyl. But it's over now, so let's just start gettin' back on our feet."
>RD"Yeah, I might as well hit the skies and survey the damage..."
>Twi"Ra.. Rain,bow..."
>Twilight twitches back into conciousness, eyes half open, only seeing the three ponies next to her
>RD"Twilight!"
>Twi"Check on.. Fluttershy's house, will you? ..Make sure.. the others, are safe.."
>RD"Oh yeah, I'll head over there right now!"
>Rainbow takes off
>AJ"Hey what about you Twilight, you okay?"
>Twi"Heh, yeah, I'll.. be fine, just need, some time to recover."
>Twilight is slow to sit up, but manages
>Twi"So... where's the royal army anyway? Or Celestia? Didn't they get my message?"
>AJ"Hate to break it to ya Twilight, but we've got no word from them, not even a message thr- ..Ah, sorry, Twilight..."
>Twilight looks at Applejack in confusion, then suddenly remembers watching her library explode, likely with Spike inside
>Twi"So... nothing from.. Spike, either?"
>AJ"Ah'm sorry Twi, not a sign of him since we sent him off with the message.."
>Twilight's eyes widen
>She hangs her head for a moment, then lays back down, placing her hooves over her eyes into hysterical crying
>Applejack goes in to console her..

>VS"Oooh maaan.."
>Vinyl looks off into the distance, in the direction of Canterlot
>AJ"Wha.. what's up Vinyl?"
>VS"That can't be good... You should come see this."
>Applejack gets up from Twilight's side and walks up to Vinyl
>As she approaches, Vinyl whispers
>VS"Just don't let Twilight see it yet, she's bad enough as it is right now."
>Vinyl motions Applejack to look where she was

>Off in the far distance, they could see Canterlot in it's usual spot on the side of a mountain
>It was burning...
>There was a wormhole above it as well
>They could see what looked like a dragon flying around
>Of course it was too distant to make out anything more than that, but they knew it was bad
>The two ponies knew they would have to help, less Canterlot end up worse than Ponyville

>Unaware of the fate of Spike, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and all of Canterlot, the remaining ponies stand their ground in the middle of a ruined Ponyville, awaiting the return of Rainbow Dash and resting before planning their next move...
