Ronin: Hyperbolic Illusionary Containment [HI]

[10:47] Krevitz says, "Hello."
[10:47] Krevitz asks, "Brother?"
[10:47] Ronin says, "Hm? Ah. Are you Brother Adonis."
[10:47] Krevitz says, "No, brother Adonis is occupied at the moment, but he has given me temporary responsibility."
[10:47] Krevitz asks, "What do you need, brother?"
[10:48] Ronin says, "I've been looking for something like the Order for a few years now, and as of recently I've found you guys."
[10:48] Krevitz says, "Yes, yes. Interesting."
[10:48] Krevitz asks, "You would like to join us?"
[10:48] Ronin says, "Your vision of balance, it perfectly embodies what I wish to try invoking on this cruel world. Yes, of course."
[10:49] Ronin says, "How I didn't learn of your presence sooner, baffles me."
[10:49] Krevitz says, "Then I assume you are familiar with the terms 'Hemorbis' and 'Homorbis'"
[10:50] Ronin says, "Of course. Through Death comes Life, and Through Unity Comes Rebirth."
[10:50] Ronin says, "... Not, in the order you presented it."
[10:50] Ronin says, "Though, the 'sects' are not separate, but rather the same -- Presented in two separate lights."
[10:50] Krevitz says, "Hmm. . . Perfect."
[10:50] Krevitz says, "Foremost, we put the Phoenix before everything."
[10:50] Krevitz asks, "Are you also ready to do the same?"
[10:50] Krevitz asks, "And in essence, are you prepared to give your life for the cause?"
[10:52] Ronin says, "I have come this far, have I not? I wish to invoke rebirth upon this land in such a fashion that its cruel practices wither with the death of its several former entities."
[10:52] Ronin says, "To bring death upon my former stature as a mere wanderer, is to bring fruition to something more... and eternal."
[10:53] Krevitz exclaims, "Yes, then you are perfect!"
[10:53] Krevitz says, "Brother Adonis, will be pleased."
[10:53] Krevitz asks, "But in what brance do you see yourself?"
[10:53] Krevitz asks, "Hemorbis or Homorbis?"
[10:54] Ronin says, "That, is where I feel a disconnect lies. For, while you may define them as separate branches, they are still one and the same. They are of, the same tree... They have the same core. They embody -one- message and theme. It is -that-, that I shall follow."
[10:55] Krevitz says, "Hmm, I get where you come from, yes."
[10:55] Krevitz says, "Indeed, we do seperate the two, but we also acknowledge that they form a whole."
[10:56] Krevitz says, "It is easier for us as some of our members do not want to fight, or they do not like it. Like me, for example."
[10:56] Krevitz says, "We have two main goals, so it'd be only better to have two groups having their center on one goal each."
[10:56] Krevitz says, "However, in the end we all work towards one purpose."
[10:56] Krevitz says, "Balance."
[10:58] Ronin says, "Yes. I suppose you raise a point. I just can't see myself without both goals at the centre of my focus. I, can't conceptualize how they could be divided into two goals, separate from one another."
[10:59] Krevitz says, "That is it, they aren't seperate."
[11:00] Krevitz says, "If we see a being, disrupting the lifestream, we will come into action."
[11:00] Krevitz says, "While at the same time, spreading our knowledge and trying to convert people."
[11:01] Ronin says, "Disrupting the lifestream... <*strokes his chin*>"
[11:01] Krevitz says, "Yes."
[11:01] Krevitz says, "Mortal beings that somehow turned immortal."
[11:01] Krevitz says, "Or too many deaths at an irregular pace, I assume."
[11:02] Ronin asks, "Hmm... But wouldn't a mortal being that became immortal be one whom shed their former coils to embody one whom has effective rebirthed? Or... Perhaps, the deaths of many at an irregular pace would mean room is being made for the next generation?"
[11:02] Ronin says, "Perhaps, my perspective is skewed."
[11:03] Krevitz says, "As you say it, one could see it as logical."
[11:03] Krevitz says, "However."
[11:03] Krevitz says, "The lifestream is a cycle of life and death."
[11:03] Krevitz says, "One life gets taken for another life to begin anew."
[11:04] Krevitz says, "If one goes from mortal to immortal, they are stepping out of the cycle."
[11:04] Krevitz says, "Bringing everything out of balance"
[11:04] Krevitz says, "."
[11:04] Krevitz says, "Of course the lifestream will correct such a thing, I assume."
[11:04] Krevitz says, "However, that means others will die, for one person to live forever."
[11:05] Ronin asks, "Hmm... Certainly, in a perfect world, one whom seeks to betray a cycle as true as death after life, must have good reason, yes?"
[11:05] Krevitz says, "To me, there is no reason to live forever other than personal greed."
[11:06] Ronin says, "Maybe you're right. Though, I can't help but feel as though I should at least attempt to understand it a bit more."
[11:07] Krevitz says, "Ofcourse, our Order holds seminars for members who would like to attend."
[11:07] Krevitz says, "So we can get a deeper understanding as to what we actually believe in."
[11:07] Krevitz says, "Ofcourse next to immortals there are also Undeads."
[11:08] Ronin says, "If I may, speak my piece on my own studies and interests? I feel as though, it may be understood better than the mere mention of the... Unorthidox."
[11:09] Krevitz says, "Go ahead."
[11:25] Ronin took the moment to really think about how it was going to present himself with the taboo aspects and transgressions the lifestream. How was he going to make something, that was clearly abhorrent to those whom embodied Phoenixism, sound remotely acceptable?

" In my studies, I've found myself fascinated with the manipulation of core fundamentals: Metaphysical-bound laws of the world around us. Though, unrelated to my personal quest, I found many people abroad to be cruel, unforgiving... False Heroes, is what I've begin to dub them."

He sighed, form slumping some bit.
"They believed that death and destruction were the only true answers to life and liberty. They wrought only pain and devastation, while claiming to save people. For the better good..."

"--But I believed in my time traveling these lands, that by understanding the very core aspects of the world around us? That I can change the way it works."

He reached out to his side, rolling his wrist to present his palm to the sky. His fingers went lax, curling in ever-so-slightly to invoke an extension of his gravitational influence.
Nearby trees began to tear from the soil, revealing yards upon yards of roots as they ascended.

" The manipulation of gravity came first, to understand the bodies of what surrounds us, and their relationship to one another."
He rolled his wrist over to relinquish his grasp upon the tree, leaving it to violently tumble into its counterparts.
Ronin's hands clasped together, exerting physical pressure as though molding something betwixt flexed palms.

" Then, the perception of reality, to better blur the lines between my reality and another's. To forge perspective, is to control everything -- So long as Will shall have it." He pried his arms apart slowly, as though they were being contested at.
As fingers parted, it revealed the alabaster gleam of mana under the warping control of the illusionary arcane.

Stroking fingers tickled what would elongate into a long cylindrical shape, hovering before the magus before he clutched at its center. The bright light flaked away in pixel fashion to unveil a javelin... From thin air?

Between dancing digits, Ronin toiled his new construct akin to a baton.
" Then, Time... Or at least, the perception of Time came to my focus..." He wandered off for the fallen tree he had dropped earlier to stab into it with the false-javelin. Its jab earned the swift deterioration on contact-- Aging away into oblivion.

"These are three aspects I've come to pursue... But I believe, that by exploring the extents of even... The mind, or the minds of the many... Even as far as the soul, not only can we better understand the world around us, but all that inhabit it. The Phoenix can be opened to the many whom have been ignorant of its purpose- And such can be enforced! We can invoke balance... But I feel, sometimes... To fix something, you may have to crack it, just break it, just a bit more... And build it up, something new."

He explained.

"Through Death, Comes Rebirth..."

"It is a shame though, that I fear such would dare to tamper with the lifestream. I've just always thought, that for the end result, the cost would be worth it." With that, Ronin paused, dematerializing the javelin in his grasp into a flurry of white embers.

"What do you think?"

[11:28] Ronin says, "Through my studies... No one would ever have to die. The transgressors of inbalance could be punished, but remain. It challenges the very concept of the divine, I'd dare to say."
[11:48] How wonderful it was, to come into contact with another individual that was not deeply focused into trying to make other's people's life miserable. It seemed that most people of Agartha were infected by some kind of disease. All they could think about was fighting, killing people and hurting others, to him it was despicable.

This man, however, he was different. He showed him all kinds of magics he could do that in essence defied the laws that had been set. He could manipulate gravity and time, and in that he had sought his ideals. Krevitz was surprised and stood perplex by the different feats of magic the man had shown, which made him more interested. The Order needed someone like him, if only Adonis returned or stopped being so occupied.

"Ah." Was all he could say, no more words managed to form. The opposing man's actions had gotten him to think. "I see where you're coming from." He really did, it was a kin to how a seastarwouldn't die if you cut a piece from it off. If it had an infection, you could break off the limb that was infected and it would grow anew, in a perfect shape or state.

"Yes, yes. I see. Through Death does come rebirth, however. Wouldn't you say it is a bit lazy to think that way? If a serial killer kills dozens of people, is it for a good cause? Because in the end, new lifes could be born? Even though the people he killed haven't lived their lives to the fullest?" Another question imposed.

"However, I am but a Pilgrim, the lifestream is a concept I am also not fully familiar with and I also am just left wondering what it really is." He answered, truthfully.

[11:51] Ronin says, "Yes, I do believe a serial killer condoning to mass killing would be hardly be for a good cause... Without context."
[11:51] Ronin says, "There are far better ways to invoke balance."
[11:52] Ronin says, "I theorize... Through the domains of Time and Illusion, one can even tap into minds."
[11:52] Krevitz says, "Oh, explain."
[11:52] Ronin says, "Think about it... To present an illusion is not merely to create something misleading, no."
[11:52] Ronin says, "It is to create, an experience."
[12:11] Ronin approached Krevitz directly, to raise a hand forth -- Finger and middle finger risen to wag at the man, as though to attempt catching something on the tip of his tongue before he forgot.

"An experience can be a variety of things, from... Of course, the typical and overused application for combative purposes. " He went on, before reaching out for Krevitz shoulder.
"-- To something, albeit intrusive... More direct."

This time, he attempted to apply his theory - Not something he had come up with too long ago. It was first attempted on Zhurong in their brawl, so to attempt replicating the sensation, couldn't be too far out of the question, could it?

It was the same thing as manipulating reality as he saw fit, through his own perception. Except, this time-- He was going to exclusively warp someone else's perspective, and through direct contact? It made the process, all the more easier.
Ronin presumed that in this explanation, the man's guard would be down well enough for him to condone to the act, in hopes of explaining his point thoroughly via demonstration.

"--Like this."
Should contact be made, this was all that'd be heard before a flash of light would take Krevitz's gander.

As it subsided, they'd find themselves... On a bench, smaller? No! Younger!
Aged backwards? The very air bore a sense of familiarity about it-- But, this wasn't something that happened before... Was it?
Should the man, now child? turn to his right, he'd find Ronin... Or... A younger prepubescent variant of Ronin, kicking his legs off the bench's edge beside him -- As though, the two were childhood friends, simply enjoying some time to relax.

"Familiar, is it not?" Ronin's adult voice rung omnipresent in his mirage.
"... It is a memory, but it is not yours... In fact, it's a memory that doesn't exist." The voice explained, before all snapped back to reality.
The only core aspects of this illusion were that, of the bench, Krevitz and Ronin... The rest of the details were left null to allow the man's mind to fill in the blanks: To make, sense of what it was 'remembering'.

To say, this didn't strain Ronin quite the bit in the process, was an understatement -- A master illusionist, but potent enough to keep such 'false memories' running? Not quite yet.
He was trying to play it off regardless though.

"It can be used more effectively, with a better grasp on the arcane of time." Ronin explained, taking his hand back from Krevitz's person.

[12:22] This man gave him a new point of view. There was always another way to approach daily happenstances in one's life. This was very interesting, if this man were to become a Priest, he would give very interesting seminars, however, time would tell if he would even stay long enough to become one.

About combat applications of Illusion, he did not know. He had never gotten into such a fight that they would need to pull out the magic they could control or used. Krevitz was a pacifist ofcourse, such a thing probably limited his experiences, but he could make up for them by something else another day. However, this was much more interesting.

He was touched, literally and figuratively(pause!). From a touch like that, he didn't expect much, however, his whole view had changed. As if the man had used his time magic to revert time back to when he was still a child. This was a peculiar case, however. He had never met the man as a child, so it was very strange now they were sitting next to each other in a scenery he was also not familiar with.

"Oh." His mouth only managed to form into an 'O'. Yet again, he was surprised, shocked even. "This is new, I guess." Krevitz didn't know, but this man was very impressive, his control of his own magic, the ideas he had in him. The man was a visionary.

"This is wonderful. ." Then he looked around, it was as if it was a childhood memory, but it was not a memory, because this situation never took place. Or well, now it did take place, so he could see it as a memory. If he were to reason like that, this man could actually make memories that were 'fake', but at the same time they weren't.

"Hmm, very interesting, brother." However, enough time had passed and it was probably time to find Adonis and introduce him to this man. "I think he has finally finished with what he was doing. Let's hope he has not forgottenyou, or me. Very interesting never the less, we should continue this later, perhaps."
