QBT active torrents & settings backup for crashes or new installs (W7 or W10):

Backup these two complete folders including all subfolders at least once every 24h:

C:\Users\[your.user]\AppData\Local\qBittorrent\ (.torrent files)

C:\Users\[your.user]\AppData\Roaming\qBittorrent\ (config files)

i.e. with https://www.karenware.com/powertools/karens-replicator-backup-utility which can automate any user configured backup types.

After a crash, or when installing QBT new, do NOT run/launch it, restore those folders first.

After restoring, but before running QBT for the first time delete the file in C:\Users\[your.user]\AppData\Local\qBittorrent\session.lock

P.S. In C:\Program Files\qBittorrent there is also a qt.conf file, but it doesn't look like any user settings are being saved there.
