  1. "I am sorry Lord." The knight bowed his head, his long dirty blond hair spilling in front of his face from his helm as he did. His armor was stained with a sloppily applied paint, forest green in color, in the shape of a hand, as if a large palm had pressed onto his breastplate. Aubron began to comfort him, and reminded him he preferred he address him casually. "Yes. It is as you say, but the way of the wood would have it. Knighthood is not natural to our kind, but it is the way of those who serve the wood and wode. Even if you are not ruler, it is obvious you are the next of succession of greatness. To see them talk to you that way. Humans, who spend their time robbing and taking from themselves and from the world around them. Is isn't right. In their own law they address nobles properly. That applies to you as much as any of them. More than any of them, Lord!" He made a sour face. "Their laws are so important. So important until it doesn't suite them, and then all of a sudden bends can be made, bends until they snap under the pressure and they scramble. Humans are so short sighted...short lived. They can't see the natural tendency of this world. Law folds on itself until the natural rules take hold. The humans call THAT chaos! Ha!" It was as he said. The elves know that in the long run of the world, the only winner is entropy. What the humans call chaos is the real order of this world.

  3. The knight sighed, turning to his cleric master. "Lord, I apologize. But if your pride doesn't stop them, mine forced my hand. I too have watched our people be treated as a joke, to be pushed into the margins of what is left of the wood, until the humans see fit to tear them from the Earth to build another whore house or stable! BAH!" He kicked at the air, a deep frustration showing his face. "I can little take it anymore. If they speak to you that way, holding my tongue is difficult. I pray you forgive me."
