Okay, well, tribes are ffa, reuben_tate, me, star_crossed, tokzic, charu, wv, and someone else, probably ck or someone else who hasn't joined, so knowing that no point in hiding tribes.

Tribes might end up being important because a couple people have already said they're going to weasel around try to get wolves to trip up. Town or wolf, you have to play along with that, and you can't read them poor for that. Tribes shouldn't matter, but this is a game of social construction, so what should and shouldn't matter is relative to what's going on.

Information is only worth hiding if you're pretty sure it's being hidden from all the wolves. This makes pms pretty useful: if you pick a random person and tell them some things you're probably confiding with a town. If you choose based on reads your chances only go up. Tribes however, are opposite. Each tribe probably has a wolf, so if you keep something secret from the other tribe, you're probably only hiding it from towns, because, ofc, the wolves can communicate freely.
