"Who are you and what do you want?" Mimi hissed.

The ghost turned to face her and let out a menacing growl. It had glowing red eyes and sharp teeth.

"I am the ghost of Mr. Jenkins, the previous owner of this house," it said. "And I want you and your family to leave. This is my home, not yours."

Mimi was not afraid of the ghost. She had faced many others before and always won.

"You have no right to be here," she said. "You are dead and this house belongs to my family now. They love it here and they won't leave because of you."

The ghost snarled and lunged at Mimi. Mimi dodged its attack and swung her toy mouse at its head. The mouse squeaked as it hit the ghost's face.

"Ow! That hurts!" the ghost cried.

Mimi knew that her toy mouse was infused with positive energy from all the love and play she had with it. It was her secret weapon against ghosts.

She chased the ghost around the basement, hitting it with her toy mouse whenever she could. The ghost tried to fight back, but Mimi was too fast and agile for it.

Finally, Mimi cornered the ghost near a window.

"Give up, Mr. Jenkins," she said. "You can't win this fight."

The ghost looked defeated and scared.

"Please, spare me," it begged. "I just want to stay in my home."

Mimi felt sorry for the ghost. She realized that he was just lonely and attached to his old life.

She decided to show him some kindness.

"Listen, Mr. Jenkins," she said softly. "I know you loved this house very much, but you can't stay here anymore. You need to move on to a better place where you can find peace and happiness."

She pointed at the window with her paw.

"Look outside," she said. "It's a beautiful night full of stars."

The ghost looked outside and saw the night sky sparkling with light.

"It is beautiful," he admitted.

Mimi smiled.

"That's where you belong," she said gently nudging him towards window with her nose. "Go on now , don't be afraid. There are many other friendly spirits waiting for you there. They will welcome you warmly."

The ghost nodded slowly.

"Thank you , Mimi," he said gratefully. "You are very kind."

He floated towards window slowly fading away as he did so.

"Goodbye, Mr . Jenkins," Mimi said waving goodbye with her tail.

She watched him disappear into starry night feeling happy that she had helped him find his way.

She then went back upstairs to join her family who were sleeping soundly unaware of what had happened.

She curled up next to them purring softly.

She knew they were safe because of her.

She was their guardian angel cat.
