ATMOS: It’s quiet down here amongst the Kyber Mirrors. We can’t hear any of what’s going on above, or the battle raging outside. Voices echo down here, and the brothers continue to have their strange, layered voices.

FX: Footsteps as Mytion walks between the mirrors, seeking Silandra.

MYTION:

Seeking to hide in a hall of mirrors may not have been the wisest of choices, Master Sho.

FX: Silandra’s lightsaber ignites as she leaps out from behind a mirror.

SILANDRA:

I wasn’t trying to hide.

FX: Mytion swings his electrostaff up to meet her lightsaber. They crackle together.

MYTION:

Ah. Of course. The civilians. You merely wished to avoid any collateral damage.

FX: There’s a flurry of blows, Silandra working hard to defend herself from the brutal attack.

MYTION:

You needn’t have worried. The Brothers of the Ninth Door respect the sanctity of innocent life. We are, in fact, a most peaceful sect. Indeed, many of our order are out in the city now, assisting those who need safe harbor.

FX: More lightsaber/electrostaff exchanges, along with Silandra battering away blows with her shield (which is on her other arm).

SILANDRA:

(GRUNTS WITH EXERTION)

And what about the people you killed with your bombs?

MYTION:

Do you really believe any of those politicians or soldiers were innocent? Do you believe you are?

SILANDRA:

They didn’t deserve to die.

MYTION:

The Force deemed otherwise. We are guided by its hand.

SILANDRA:

(FIRM BUT CONTROLLED)

Do not presume to speak for the Force.

FX: Silandra makes a big push, whipping her lightsaber around furiously, using one of the mirrors to push herself into a flip over Mytion’s head. But he counters her flurry of blows, and she lands, lightsaber humming.

MYTION:

(AMUSED)

I merely sought to fulfill certain obligations. That is all.

SILANDRA:

Obligations to whom?

MYTION:

(GENUINELY SURPRISED)

You really don’t know, do you?

We all have masters, Jedi. Those who would see us do their bidding for the right price. Or perhaps the right cause.

SILANDRA:

Who?

MYTION:

(LAUGHS)

SILANDRA:

Who?

MYTION:

(WRYLY)

Let me see if I can remember his exact words….

FX: When Mytion speaks, it’s with the same triple-layered effect, but now his voice is emulating Tilson Graf.

MYTION:

(AS TILSON GRAF)

So, the bomb will detonate at the appointed time?

Excellent. Make sure Morton San Tekka catches the brunt of it, will you? He’s been a thorn in my family’s side for years.

(Beat, then AS IF OFF THE CUFF)

Oh, and there’s another Jedi, too. Silandra Sho. She might prove troublesome. See to her, too, will you?

(Beat, then AIRILY)

I’m not a bad person, you know. You must understand that I’m only looking out for my interests. My family’s interests. A…umm…a friend has shown me how I might win back their affections, you see. Would be churlish not to try, wouldn’t it?

FX: Silandra staggers back, breathless.

SILANDRA:

(APPALLED)

Him.

Tilson Graf.

He’s the one who hired you to carry out the bombings.

FX: Mytion’s voice is back to its usual creepy self.

MYTION:

Some people, it seems, believe conflict to be a more sustainable and profitable state for the galaxy than peace.

Personally, I do not care.

FX: While Silandra is disoriented, Mytion comes on strong, with a series of fast, vicious attacks with the electrostaff. One of the blows gets through Silandra’s defenses, pushing her back with a snarl of pain.

SILANDRA:

(SNARL OF PAIN)

FX: But then she kicks out in response. The kick connects with Mytion, pushing him back against one of the mirrors.

MYTION:

(UNGH)

FX: There’s a moment of silence as both Mytion and Silandra take this in.

MYTION:

It seems both of my brothers somewhat underestimated you, Master Sho.

Not I, however.

FX: Mytion growls as he launches a string of attacks.

MYTION:

(GROWLS ANGRILY)

FX: Silandra counters furiously. This is epic lightsaber/electrostaff dueling. They’re weaving in and out of the mirrors, boots crunching on loose stone, flipping and jumping, whipping their weapons back and forth with humming and sparking as they clash. And then:

MYTION:

(ROARS)

Just die, Jedi!

You’re testing my patience.

FX: Mytion batters aside Silandra’s shield with brute strength, his electrostaff sparking furiously. He blocks a down cut from Silandra and knocks her lightsaber hand wide, and then jabs her, hard, with the sparking end of the electrostaff, knocking her back against one of the mirrors.

SILANDRA:

(CRIES OUT)

FX: Silandra tries to bring her lightsaber down with a humming swipe, but Mytion steps closer, swinging his electrostaff and bringing it down hard on her wrist.

SILANDRA:

(UNGH)

My saber!

FX: The lightsaber tumbles away onto the ground and extinguishes. Mytion strikes her again, hard, and she falls back against one of the Kyber Mirrors.
