[22:25] <[GM]Bean> [Last time on Rock Band Maids! Our would-be rock stars wrote their first songs! Now facing their first gig since merging, the band has arrived at the venue and is frantically prepares for the performance!
[22:25] <[GM]Bean> [Will their new sounds rock or flop? Let's find out...]
[22:26] * [k]Anne is holding a checklist.
[22:26] <[k]Anne> Do we have everything ready? We better, because we are rolling in a few minutes!
[22:26] * Evelyn checks the batteries are in the microphone, tapping her foot. She really wants to punch something...
[22:26] * [k]Anne is barking orders.
[22:27] <[why]Tomoe> Maybe.
[22:28] * [why]Tomoe turns on tuner and plucks a string.
[22:28] <[why]Tomoe> ...Shit, this string's off by about 10Hz.
[22:28] <[why]Tomoe> I'll have to retune the whole thing.
[22:29] <[k]Anne> Argh, drop it! We have no time!
[22:29] <[why]Tomoe> But it's not tuned perfectly!
[22:29] <[why]Tomoe> I can't play unless I'm in perfect tune.
[22:29] <[k]Anne> Get an alternate one! You should have one, right?!
[22:29] <[why]Tomoe> An alternate guitar?  It'd prolly be tuned even worse.
[22:30] * [k]Anne shows Tomoe 3 identical electrical violin. All tuned.
[22:30] <[k]Anne> Then it is your mistake for not being prepared.
[22:30] * [Mys]Red schleps hard...
[22:30] <[k]Anne> Get to it! you have five minutes!
[22:30] <[why]Tomoe> Yeah, well, guitars lose their tuning if you even bump them slighly during transport.
[22:30] <[why]Tomoe> They don't have your megah4x cases that prevent any movement at all.
[22:31] * [why]Tomoe begins tuning.
[22:31] <Rikako>  I think we're all ready?
[22:31] * [Rut]Sibyl wanders over towards Tomoe. Standing behind her, she tilts her head, then futzes with the pegs on her guitar.
[22:31] <[why]Tomoe> Wha-
[22:31] * Evelyn assembles the microphone completely, then cracking her knuckles and her neck. Best be ready for this quick.
[22:31] * [GM]Promoter runs out from the nearby access door
[22:31] <[Rut]Sibyl> Better~
[22:31] <[GM]Promoter> Ok, you guys, you.... what was your band called again?
[22:31] * [k]Anne runs around like a headless chicken, trying to fill her checklist.
[22:32] * [why]Tomoe smacks Sibyl hard with the guitar.
[22:32] <[why]Tomoe> No!
[22:32] * Rikako checks her guitar, tunes it by the ear... twang~
[22:32] <Evelyn> Easy! We've got more important things to worry about!
[22:32] * [why]Tomoe goes back to fixing her tuning
[22:33] <[k]Anne> Such as PREPARATION!
[22:33] <[k]Anne> Argh! That's why I hate working with idiots!
[22:33] * [k]Anne bite her nails.
[22:33] * [Rut]Sibyl crumples.
[22:33] <[Rut]Sibyl> W... why~...
[22:33] <Evelyn> We can punch them all we want later. Come on, someone answer the guy!
[22:34] <[k]Anne> New name? In a couple of seconds?
[22:34] * Evelyn gestures to the Promoter.
[22:34] <[why]Tomoe> We're Obessive Compulsive Disorder, promoter guy!
[22:34] * [k]Anne whips up a name she just thought.
[22:34] <[k]Anne> "Die Zauerfloten?"
[22:35] <[why]Tomoe> No.
[22:35] <[why]Tomoe> Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
[22:35] <[why]Tomoe> We've been over this thousands of times.
[22:36] <[k]Anne> ...just thought a name change would be nice...
[22:36] * [k]Anne lost her enthusiasm a bit.
[22:36] * [Rut]Sibyl twitches on the ground.
[22:36] <[GM]Promoter> So which is it? I gotta go out there and announce youse guys.
[22:37] * [why]Tomoe cleans up Sibyl's blood.
[22:37] <[Rut]Sibyl> Broken Ribs...
[22:37] <[k]Anne> Checklist, checklist!
[22:37] * [k]Anne checks!
[22:38] * [GM]Promoter looks down and points at Sibyl.
[22:39] <[GM]Promoter> Broken Ribs, got it. You're on in 5, guys.
[22:39] * [GM]Promoter runs back out the door
[22:39] <[why]Tomoe> What!?
[22:39] <[k]Anne> Wha-!
[22:39] * [k]Anne 's face is drained like she just witness a lovecraftian horror.
[22:39] * [Mys]Red has finished setting up and polishing her cymbals.
[22:39] <[k]Anne> Wh-wh-what kind of band name is that?!
[22:39] <[Rut]Sibyl> Pretty star mooses... red moose, blue moose~...
[22:39] * Rikako giggles.
[22:39] <Evelyn> Eh- whatever. It's all the same.
[22:39] <Rikako>  Broken ribs.. hah
[22:40] <[GM]Bean> On the other side of the curtain, you can hear a sizable crowd murmuring and bustling, your popularity has really spread since the Battle of the Bands, and people are obviously eager for your re-debut.
[22:41] <[why]Tomoe> You hear that crowd?  They won't even know it's us.
[22:41] <[why]Tomoe> Just because we're not called OCD.
[22:41] <Evelyn> Oh, shush. Leave it for when we're done.
[22:42] <[Rut]Sibyl> I can't remember my name right now, either. I hope it's Jerry. Cute~
[22:42] * [k]Anne write a letter "human" in her hands using finger and eats it.
[22:42] <[why]Tomoe> But you're a girl.
[22:43] * [Rut]Sibyl sighs.
[22:43] <[k]Anne> One calm, two calm, three calm....
[22:43] <[Rut]Sibyl> Yeah...
[22:43] <[Mys]Red> Don't listen to her Jerry
[22:43] <[why]Tomoe> ....Right?
[22:43] * [k]Anne inhale~
[22:43] * [k]Anne exhale~
[22:43] <[Mys]Red> She's just jealous
[22:43] <[GM]Bean> You can hear the crowd start to cheer as the promoter steps onto stage in front of the curtain
[22:43] * Rikako looks as she final tunes her bass guitar.. hmm~
[22:44] * [why]Tomoe finally finishes her tuning
[22:44] <[why]Tomoe> Whew, made it
[22:44] <[GM]Bean> Promoter: "Ladies and gentlemen! Thank you and welcome to tonight's show at the Yellow Duck. We've got a real treat in store for you tonight!
[22:44] <[k]Anne> Next time I'm going to make sure we finish this whole thing 30 minutes before starting.
[22:44] <[k]Anne> Mark my word.
[22:44] * [k]Anne points.
[22:44] <Evelyn> I wish you would.
[22:45] <[why]Tomoe> Not my fault Sibyl messed up my tuning!
[22:45] <[GM]Bean> "They sent shockwaves through the local music scene a few weeks ago with their performance at the Battle of the Bands contest, and now they're here for the first ever performance since reforming their band!
[22:45] <[Rut]Sibyl> You should loosen up! Like your guitar.
[22:45] <[why]Tomoe> But I don't like drop-D tuning!
[22:46] * [k]Anne bite something at hand. This time it's someone's pick.
[22:46] <[GM]Bean> "Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado... I give you... BRO-KEN RIIIIIIBS!!!!!"
[22:46] <[k]Anne> must not panic. must not panic.
[22:46] <[why]Tomoe> Give my pick back!
[22:46] <[Mys]Red> We're on!
[22:47] <[GM]Bean> The crowd explodes as the curtain draws back, putting you in full view of the audience
[22:47] <[Rut]Sibyl> Go~!
[22:47] * [why]Tomoe rips the pick from Anne's teeth as she walks out to her position on stage.
[22:47] * [why]Tomoe waits.
[22:47] * [k]Anne put on her best smile and walk up the stage with grace, waving while she's at it.
[22:48] * [why]Tomoe reflexively tests her tuning again, looking at the tuning pedal on the floor.
[22:48] * [Rut]Sibyl adjusts her strange bunny headband and pushes her sunglasses back up her nose.
[22:48] <[GM]Bean> A small voice can be heard faintly in the massive cheers of the crowd. "You've been gone for a month and your band name still sucks!"
[22:48] * [why]Tomoe frowns
[22:48] <[why]Tomoe> NO U!
[22:49] * Evelyn struts forward towards the crowd a few steps, making sure to move her hips as she does so.
[22:49] * [Mys]Red twirls her sticks with practiced speed while clicking off the beat.
[22:49] * Rikako \oo/ at the audience, grinning, putting on her punk rock face.
[22:49] * [k]Anne adjust her glasses.
[22:49] <[k]Anne> sigh. You guys are just...
[22:50] <[Mys]Red> 1. 2. ah 1, 2, 3- *bam*
[22:50] * [k]Anne , even if she say that, is smiling.
[22:50] * [Mys]Red lays down the beats
[22:50] * Evelyn taps her foot in sync, waiting for her cue.
[22:51] * [k]Anne steps back and play the supporter's role today. She tone down her volume, and act as a background music.
[22:51] * [why]Tomoe prepares to enter as background as well.
[22:52] <[k]Anne> hit it, guys.
[22:52] * [k]Anne begins.
[22:52] * [GM]Pete enters in from the side door of the club, looking up towards the stage over his sunglasses. He then moves to take a seat at a table marked 'Reserved', far in the back.
[22:52] * [why]Tomoe follows
[22:52] * [Rut]Sibyl sways in sync with the intro. Or maybe she just has poor balance. Either way, she picks up when it's time.
[22:53] <[GM]Pete> The Crowd remains enthralled with your performance so far, your sounds are meshing nicely as you play the song that Rikako wrote.
[22:55] * Evelyn picks up her cue to sing, starting out rather calmly and with a measured tone.
[22:55] * Rikako grins..
[22:55] <Rikako>  That's right.. choose me.
[22:56] * Rikako strums to keep her tempo, glistening amongst the members, working hard.
[22:56] * [GM]Pete looks on from the rear of the club, seemingly unimpressed so far...
[22:56] * [k]Anne is being comfortable in the back. Only her glasses glinting with the stage light.
[23:01] * [why]Tomoe skillfully breaks into a solo, unexpectedly given her rhythm guitar role, and rocks it, weaving the melody in and out while still providing a rhythm to the song.
[23:02] * [Rut]Sibyl looks bored. Her part in the song isn't as fast as she likes to play... When it comes time to diverge from the power chord, she drags the notes out, throwing in some tasteful feedback. Before she knows it, a few "extras" find their way into her  playing, too.
[23:03] * [why]Tomoe tries her best to keep up with Sibyl's insane playing, still producing a stream of notes that flow seamlessly
[23:03] * [k]Anne notice the extra, and she's not very happy with it.
[23:04] * [Rut]Sibyl 's actual tempo rivals that of Tomoe's now. Sibyl seems oblivious to this.
[23:04] <[GM]Pete> The crowd starts clapping along to the rhythm as Tomoe and Sibyl take center stage, the fans going absolutely nuts as they work their magic
[23:04] * [k]Anne send a wink that way. Switch, please!
[23:04] * [k]Anne 's wink is stuck behind her glasses. Ack.
[23:04] * [GM]Pete raises an eyebrow as he watches the solo with sudden interest
[23:05] * [Mys]Red having very little in the department of "difficultly" for this part does a few stick tricks.
[23:05] * [k]Anne murmurs.
[23:05] * Rikako continues her play, keeping to herself this time despite this being her song.
[23:07] <[GM]Pete> Suddenly, one of Tomoe's strings snap under the stress of her strenuous playing!
[23:07] <[k]Anne> !!
[23:07] <[why]Tomoe> FFFFFFFFFF-
[23:08] * [why]Tomoe manages to continue playing despite the broken string, moving the notes on it instead to the equivalent tone on another string, somehow managing not to let it break her flow
[23:09] * [k]Anne eyes goes wide.
[23:09] * [Rut]Sibyl snaps out of her (regular) trance. Having been already playing with feedback, she manipulates the reverb to fill in for Tomoe's lost chord.
[23:12] <[GM]Pete> The crowd is none the wiser for the switch, and Sibyl manages to ease out of the solo and rejoin the main melody of the song.
[23:13] * [why]Tomoe follows behind, thankful that power chords don't get messed up too much with a broken string.
[23:13] * [GM]Pete noticed the slip-up, and is impressed by how nicely it was covered and handled...
[23:14] <[Rut]Sibyl> . o O ( That was weird finger positioning... was kinda nice~ )
[23:14] * [k]Anne is not doing much today.
[23:15] * Evelyn picks up the following verse, having walked back to the center.
[23:15] * [Mys]Red just keeps the beat.
[23:16] * [Rut]Sibyl settles for deep, heavy melodies, adding texture to the rhythm where she can. The demon living in her fingertips had been sated already... for now.
[23:17] * [why]Tomoe carefully avoids trying to use the missing string, while at the same time building up the sound of the song with the chords.
[23:20] * Rikako continues playing, she tries to stand out for her solo but can't see to muster the will to.
[23:20] * [Rut]Sibyl can~ She reaches a climax in the heavy, deliberate harmonics she'd started favoring earlier in the song. The amps rumble.
[23:20] * [why]Tomoe attempts to help Rikako with her roll, but finds herself handicapped
[23:22] * [Mys]Red watches a fiasco unfold...
[23:23] * [why]Tomoe catches herself and plays her chords as strongly and forcefully as she can to back up Sibyl
[23:24] * [k]Anne back them up the best she could. Hopefully they will pass this without any downside.
[23:28] <[GM]Pete> The crowd murmurs slightly as the song goes a bit too long during the last chorus, but the band recovers yet again and enters into the outro of the song rather nicely.
[23:29] * Evelyn sings the closing notes with a little extra measure, tensing up and then relaxing when they end.
[23:29] * [why]Tomoe lets the last chord resound just the right amount of time.
[23:30] * [Rut]Sibyl ends on a low chord, making room for the others as a complimentary background element.
[23:30] * Rikako ends it with a loud twang, ending the echo'ing last.
[23:30] * [Mys]Red finishes her last necessary drum fills before leaving the others and joining the crowd.
[23:30] <[GM]Pete> The crowd starts to cheer more loudly as the song finishes up.
[23:30] * [Mys]Red jumps.
[23:30] * [Mys]Red . o O (Wheeeeeee~)
[23:30] <[GM]Pete> The crowd catches Red and sends her surfing across the crowd.
[23:31] <[GM]Pete> Eventually, they place her back on stage
[23:31] * [why]Tomoe stares daggers at her broken string.
[23:31] * [Mys]Red . o O (Awwwwwww~)
[23:31] <[why]Tomoe> Argh.
[23:31] <[why]Tomoe> How am I going to fix this?
[23:31] <[why]Tomoe> I can't just have one string new.
[23:31] * [GM]Pete looks on with renewed interest at the spunky red-head
[23:32] <[why]Tomoe> Hey, hey, anyone have a spare?
[23:32] * [Rut]Sibyl edges towards Tomoe with her best "I told you so" grin.
[23:32] <[why]Tomoe> You told me what?  All you did was mess up my tuning.
[23:32] <[why]Tomoe> I bet this is your fault!
[23:32] * [Mys]Red shakes a few hands and blows a few kisses before returning to the drums.
[23:32] <[why]Tomoe> You're paying for a pack of strings to make up for this.
[23:32] <[Rut]Sibyl> I told you you needed to loosen up~
[23:32] * [k]Anne wipes her sweat.
[23:33] <[k]Anne> Whew.
[23:33] <[k]Anne> We got past our first milestone. yeah.
[23:33] * Evelyn moves between Tomoe and Sibyl, glaring at each while pushing them apart.
[23:33] <[why]Tomoe> Sibyl, do you have a guitar I can borrow?
[23:33] * [k]Anne silent fistpump.
[23:33] <[Rut]Sibyl> Um...
[23:33] * [Rut]Sibyl suddenly looks depressed.
[23:34] <[Rut]Sibyl> No. Just acoustic. I'm... not supposed to have any electrics.
[23:34] <[why]Tomoe> Well, uh, do you have one of those accoustic guitar pickups I can use with it?
[23:35] <[why]Tomoe> It'll look stupid, but it's better than not playing
[23:35] * Rikako sighs..
[23:36] <[k]Anne> I have electric violin.
[23:36] <Evelyn> Wait, what about electroacoustics? Or... we might be overthinking this.
[23:36] <[k]Anne> It can be set as guitar.
[23:37] <[Rut]Sibyl> No...
[23:37] <[why]Tomoe> If someone HAS an electric-acoustic guitar, PLEASE lend it to me. Or any guitar that can plug into an amp.
[23:37] * [k]Anne really presenting her violin, now.
[23:38] <[why]Tomoe> I can't play violin.
[23:38] <[k]Anne> aww...
[23:38] <[Rut]Sibyl> I can~
[23:38] <[why]Tomoe> I can br-
[23:38] * [k]Anne turns.
[23:38] <[why]Tomoe> Really?
[23:38] <[k]Anne> Really?
[23:38] <[why]Tomoe> Hey, Sibyl.

[23:39] <[why]Tomoe> I've never held a dual-neck before.
[23:39] <[GM]Pete> The crowd starts to get anxious as they begin to chant 'One More Song! One More Song!'
[23:40] * [GM]Pete notes the crowd's enthusiasm
[23:40] * [Rut]Sibyl smiles, but her apprehension is betrayed by a wrinkled brow.
[23:40] <[Rut]Sibyl> ... Okay! Here.
[23:40] <Rikako> ...more songs?
[23:40] <Evelyn> Looks like it. Come on, won't be so bad.
[23:40] <Evelyn> I hope.
[23:41] * [why]Tomoe takes the guitar.
[23:41] <[why]Tomoe> Okay, now we've got two violin players and one guitarist.  I hope I can make up for the lack of Sibyl!  It's a huge loss to not have her on lead.
[23:42] * [why]Tomoe plugs the guitar into her line and checks the tuning.
[23:42] <[Rut]Sibyl> Ehehe! Thanks. It'll be okay.
[23:42] <Rikako> Let's do this.
[23:42] * [GM]Pete starts to wonder just what the band is up to, switching instruments around...
[23:43] <[k]Anne> I wonder if this will be okay...
[23:43] * [k]Anne sweatdrops.
[23:43] <[why]Tomoe> It'll be fine!
[23:43] <[why]Tomoe> I'm not as good as Sibyl, but, I mean
[23:44] * Evelyn walks back to the center, winking at the crowd.
[23:44] <[why]Tomoe> I managed to play with a completely broken string, if you weren't watching
[23:44] <[k]Anne> I hear that.
[23:44] * [k]Anne taps her ear.
[23:44] <[k]Anne> As a violinist, I sense every notes.
[23:44] <[why]Tomoe> Really?  I thought I did it perfectly.
[23:45] * [k]Anne sighs.
[23:45] <[k]Anne> You do.
[23:45] <[k]Anne> But I still sense it.
[23:45] * [k]Anne get ready.
[23:45] <[k]Anne> next song is coming right up. be prepared.
[23:46] * [why]Tomoe meticulously tunes Sibyl's guitar. Both necks. Even the bass one that she's not even going to use.
[23:48] * Evelyn looks back at the other members of the band, fidgeting expectantly.
[23:50] * Rikako gives them a thumbs up and turns back to the crowd.
[23:51] * [Rut]Sibyl stands with Anne this time, having changed instruments.
[23:52] * [Mys]Red starts the next song accompanied by... Well everyone.
[23:53] * [k]Anne takes the lead and give it a start using violinist's finest magic.
[23:55] * [k]Anne add in fancy pose for \fabulous/ effect.
[23:55] * [why]Tomoe also takes the lead, turning her usual rhythm guitar bit into something more closely resembling her current role
[23:57] * Rikako follows along, using her gut feelings... play this song...
[23:57] * [Rut]Sibyl plays high, lilting notes -- suddenly, she's back in an orchestral string section. Her tunes somehow have a classical feel to them...
[23:59] * [k]Anne just go with the flow. It's always like this. When she's up, she always play by emotion. Can't remember anything. just music. The crowd is gone. Just her and her music. It's still the same song with same tune, but it feels different every time she plays.
[23:59] <[GM]Pete> Several fans in the front rows swoon seeing Anne's poses in action.
[00:00] * [Mys]Red does her best-worst drum fill.
[00:01] * [k]Anne feels the spotlight. it's a lot different from her old stage.
[00:02] <[k]Anne> I guess rock is not so bad after all...
[00:02] * [why]Tomoe drives the...rhythm-lead? ...whatever it is that she got herself into by mixing the two together, with skill.
[00:03] * [Mys]Red is tired of doing nothing (can't even sweat with the amount of work drumming) and starts to sing the vocals.
[00:03] * [Mys]Red has forgotten she is mic'd.
[00:04] * Evelyn picks up the notes more strenuously than usual but manages to keep it in pace with Red, not minding and keeping the notes under control.
[00:05] * [k]Anne is having fun.
[00:05] <[GM]Pete> Red instantly gains several new fans as the mosh pit reacts vividly to her vocals.
[00:07] * Rikako swings her waist left and right a little, letting her skirt fluttered unneedlessly as she really gets into the song, closing her eyes and trusting her hands.
[00:09] * [k]Anne glance up, breaking her trance as the song approaches it end.
[00:09] <[k]Anne> *its
[00:10] <[GM]Pete> Rikako induces several heart attacks in the crowd with her skirt fluttering.
[00:12] * [Rut]Sibyl goes much lower on her violin, with harder symphonics. The line between music genres blurs.
[00:12] * [why]Tomoe follows Sibyl
[00:13] * [GM]Pete picks up on the crowd reactions, nodding in approval
[00:13] * [k]Anne looks at Rikako's doing, and decide to do the same. she jumps a little, revealing her inner thighs with a garter belt.
[00:13] * [k]Anne thinks garter belts are awesome and those who invent it should get nobel prize.
[00:13] * [why]Tomoe notices the other two and desperately tries to think of a way to show off herself without it just coming off as strange.
[00:14] <[GM]Pete> Suddenly, a crazed fan jumps on stage and runs towards Anne!
[00:14] <[why]Tomoe> Wat...
[00:14] <[k]Anne> !!
[00:14] <[k]Anne> wha-
[00:15] <[GM]Pete> However, Tomoe swiftly intercepts him with a guitar swing to the teeth.
[00:16] <[why]Tomoe> No one jumps on our stage without paying a cover fee!
[00:16] <[GM]Pete> The crowd ERUPTS into pandemonium, the cheers are deafening as the fan dejectedly crawls back to the edge of the stage and falls over and onto the floor, never to be seen again.
[00:17] <[GM]Pete> Several of the front row crowd have taken to stomping the shit out of the crazy fan.
[00:17] <[Mys]Red> : O
[00:17] * [Mys]Red saves the poor guy.
[00:18] * [k]Anne uses iron heart surge and manage to keep the music going.
[00:18] * [Rut]Sibyl never stopped.
[00:18] * [why]Tomoe returns to her part without a pause, as if she never even swung at the guy.
[00:19] * Rikako laughs as she flutters around some more.
[00:19] * [Mys]Red gets her cellphone and calls the venue to have them call an ambulance and get first aid.
[00:20] * Evelyn clenches a fist tight enough for her knuckles to turn white, clearly frustrated but continuing regardless.
[00:20] * [k]Anne instinctively stay close to Eve, her closest friend.
[00:24] * [k]Anne put it to and end, doing her best to keep her work flawless.
[00:24] * [why]Tomoe wraps up with the final chord of the song.
[00:25] * Rikako picks up her skirt a little to reveal her stocking then lets it droop down and waves at her fans.
[00:25] * Evelyn extends her final notes a little, pocketing her fist and doing her best to ignore what's happening up until the song is over.
[00:26] * [Rut]Sibyl ,having not been paying attention, has not realized that her guitar was used to induce blunt force trauma yet.
[00:27] * [k]Anne hold her pose as it finish.
[00:35] <[k]Anne> ....done?
[00:36] * [why]Tomoe plays a mini solo as the song wings down
[00:37] <[k]Anne> [the crowd cheers as the awesome performance reaches its ending. Encore, Encore!]
[00:38] <[Rut]Sibyl> [That -was- the encore, though.]
[00:38] * Evelyn waves at the crowd, smiling but still looking for something to punch.
[00:39] * [why]Tomoe hands the guitar back to Sibyl
[00:39] * [Rut]Sibyl wakes up.
[00:39] <[Rut]Sibyl> Uwah?
[00:39] <[why]Tomoe> Nice guitar.   Mind if I play it sometime?  Just looking at it isn't quite good enough for me.
[00:39] * [k]Anne sticks close to Eve as they retreat to the backstage.
[00:40] * [Rut]Sibyl shrugs.
