  110. A wanderer from a distant land, across the boundless sea. She has tattoos across a great part of her body, and gleaming jewellery, but nothing of war-metals - her spear is tipped with obsidian, not iron.

  112. One day, a ship washed up on the shores of her land. The sailors had weapons of strange grey metal, spoke no civilised tongue, and had strange, pale skin.
  113. The nation of Textitlan was thrown into disarray at this - they had no knowledge of any lands beyond the sea. A decision was made - a scouting party would be sent to this foreign place, to learn of their technologies and magic, and whether they were a threat - or a potential victim to conquer. The ship was repaired, and a party of Textitlans and the pale strangers were sent back to the land they came from.

  115. Along the way, the Textitlans learned how to sail the ship from the strangers, and it is from them that Quetzalxochitl learned the barbaric tongue spoken on the foreign land.
  116. To prevent the sailors from speaking of the homeland to potential enemies, they were put to death, but close to the shore, they encountered a great storm, and the ship was wrecked. Quetzalxochitl washed up on the beach, with naught but her spear, but she still has her mission, and she's sharp enough to know that if she ever wants to get home - she will require money.
