  1. Aaron settled into his seat with a smirk on his face and confidence in his abilities. His pal, Mike Schmidt, had already given him a rundown on the animatronics and their positions.
  2.
  3. Which gave him a nasty shock when after muting the programmed phone call, he saw Bonnie’s purple ears poking out of the curtain in Pirate’s Cove. Meanwhile, Foxy was stumbling around the party room. Actually, the only animatronic on stage was Chica, which clashed considerably with what Mike had told him.
  4.
  5. “Freddy’s gonna stick on stage for three days, if you make it. On your third night, he goes after you, and then he’s your biggest problem.”
  6.
  7. Well, then, where the fuck is Freddy? Aaron swapped from cam to cam, looking for the bear. He saw Foxy, at least. Sitting in a chair in the party room. But no Freddy. And then he heard noises. Loud smashing from the kitchen. Chica was supposed to be in there, making that ruckus. But no, she was still on stage.
  8.
  9. Aaron concluded that this where Freddy was. Foxy was still in his chair, Chica still on her stage.
  10.
  11. It was Bonnie that was confusing. Everytime he looked at her on the cameras, she poked her head out a little further. Aaron concluded it was best to ignore her for the time being, and focus on Freddy and Foxy, who were out and about when they should be back on stage.
  12.
  13. Was Mike fucking with him? If so, Aaron was pissed. This is not how any of this should work.
  14.
  15. Using his flashlights, Aaron caught Foxy at the doorway. At least Mikey wasn’t lying about that. Aaron brought the door down, and before he did he had a realization.
  16. Foxy had a purple hand where a hook should be.
  17.
  18. Aaron checked the cameras, and saw that Chica’s bib was missing. It didn’t take a genius to figure out where Foxy’s hook was.
  19.
  20. Aaron checked the hallway to his left to see if Foxy had left, and saw a pale, ruby-lipped mask on the poster. Aaron gave this a moment of his attention, before he slammed the camera over to the Cove on instinct. Mike had said, “If you see anything strange on those posters, ignore it as fast as you can,” and Aaron followed suit.
  21.
  22. A hook poked out of the curtain. As Aaron processed this piece of information, his finger slipped and he hit the camera for the west hall. The mask was there again, and he didn’t swipe away in time.
  23. He looked up to see a slim, gangly figure in a black suit, slumped in front of him. It lunged forward and Aaron’s last words were “Jesus Chr-”.
  24.
  25.
  26. As Freddy looked over the seven helmets on his shelf, he mused aloud how nice the week was. Something floated through his body, and followed his gaze.
  27.
  28. “Yes,” said the Puppet. “Especially now that the Afton boy is away. You never liked him anyways.”
  29.
  30. “I wouldn’t mind keeping things like this a while longer,” Freddy said. “It works better like this, and we all missed you.”
  31.
  32. “How so?”, the Puppet asked.
  33.
  34. “We knew you were watching, but this is the first time you’ve caught anyone in years, right?”
  35.
  36. “Yes.”
  37.
  38. “The Afton boy had it coming. Why don’t we let him watch, and let you play?”, Freddy asked.
  39.
  40. “I like that idea,” the Puppet said.
