Full Realistic RP

Current Rule(s):

Disrupting our game server with inappropriate behavior is not permitted. Anyone found doing so will be punished. [Includes spamming, taunting other players, or RDM.]
No disruptive behavior, IE - Abuse, Spamming music in bank robberies, yelling in PD or baiting police.
Failure to value your own life will be considered Fail RP.

Suggested Change:

This is a hardcore Role Play server and as a result realistic RP will be enforced. By this we mean you will think about the consequences of your actions. For example you would not run into the Police Department yelling "Oink oink" or "Fuck you pigs" or you would not declare war on every faction as a gang member and shoot everything you see.

Why would you like to change this rule?

We pride ourselves on hardcore Role Play and are currently encouraging RP that is rather contrary and completely opposite as to what we are here.

Ok this is a hardcore role play server and the RP is expected to be realistic. Staff often make the statement that "We ban for fail role play not bad role play."

Well why not?

The difference between here and other communities is that we have better RP and staff that enforce the rules. Why can't realistic role play be a a rule? I constantly see Player Reports where a couple gang members drive around the city and shoot everything they see, then steal a cop car, ram a couple people, drive around the PD in the stolen car, get stopped, ask for a lawyer, argue that they were just having fun, get jailed, say getting jailed for 2 hours for killing 3 people, robbing another 3, stealing a cop car, and evading is unrealistic, unfair, and is ruining their RP only to go and do the same thing again once they get out of jail.

In Linus' but he made a good post called "Something to Think About" (I hope that was the title) and in it focused on the point where people need have the chance to have fun and do what they like. People here like to role play and have fun is what Linus capitalized on. Cops like to have meaningless pull overs, some civilians like to farm cotton and not get shot at, lawyers like to represent, and judges love to have court cases where they don't get trolled.

Fun and fair need to go hand and hand and it isn't fair for people to have to reconsider playing because they know they are going to get shot at. A cop shouldn't have to worry about getting kidnapped when repairing their car or every time they pull someone over. A lawyer shouldn't have to be extorted by a gang to represent them always. A judge should be able to go to the courthouse IN-GAME and not have to worry about someone running in and shooting them or yelling the N word from the outside.

I know everyone has similar stories and we pride ourselves on our good role play so why not defend that title? Every staff member has individually said "I wish I could ban for bad role play."
