  1. Thing snuggled her head against the Human's chest. She was hoping that something like this would happen. She wasn't ready to let the human leave the Everfree and she wanted to entice him with some perks so he would willingly stay and teach her speech rather than keeping him as a prisoner. However, it just felt nice to cuddle with another intelligent being after being alone her whole life, especially one that seemed kind and easy to toy with. She smiled. He was very cute when he became frustrated by her antics and when he was scared (mostly of her, unfortunately) she felt like she wanted to protect this relatively weak and unevolved organism. This human and most of the other species on this planet were like soft sheltered and squishy infants. Compared to her, the offspring of an ancient galactic race of biologically perfected predators they were like weakling babies, struggling to even walk. Totally helpless to her vastly superior body.
  2.
  3. Thing sighed as she thought of these things and subconsciously curled some of her underwater tentacles around Anon’s body in a protective manner. She cracked open her eyes slightly as she felt the human slide his hand around one of her tentacles and lift it out of the water. Ah, he was curious. He seemed to be examining it. She wiggled, flexed and stretched it, indulging in his curiosity. The muscles in her tentacles were very special things. In the galaxy where she originated, there were countless styles of muscle that her ancestors had discovered, but they kept this design for themselves and they used it whenever they could because it excelled in strength, durability, and flexibility. It was also easy to mutate and transform into different shapes. In Anon’s hand she demonstrated how it could lengthen and retract, curl and flex. When she flexed the muscles, they could become very rigid and load bearing. Amazingly, they didn’t need bones to accomplish this. It was biological technology unseen on Equestria or on Earth, where Anon had originated from.

  5. “Wow, your body is amazing. Just how many secrets do you have inside of your yourself? Where did you even come from, hmm?”
  6.
  7. Thing opened her eyes and looked up to make eye contact with the human. She couldn’t understand his words but she could understand his tone of voice and body language that expressed his wonder at her unique body. She enjoyed feeling the vibrations of his speech as she laid her head against his chest. She closed her eyes and hummed with agreement. On this planet, she was a very special organism.
  8.
  9. Suddenly, the human began to knead her tentacle. She twitched slightly with surprise, blinking her eyes open. Oh my, he was doing the same thing to her that he was doing to the mint pony! She smiled, it was sweet how the human cared about her.
  10.
  11. “Alright, just relax, you clingy little monster.” Anon peered into the water, there were so many tentacles, perhaps she was a bit larger than ‘little’. She was like an iceberg, appearing small on the surface but much larger beneath. “I’m going to give you a massage. You seem to be a bit tense, are you worried about something?”
  12.
  13. Thing flicked her long forked tongue out of her mouth in curiosity like a snake at the question. Her upper body was still in the form of a sea serpent/pony hybrid.
  14.
  15. Anon sighed. “Alright, after this massage let’s go back and I’m going to teach you how to talk. It’s still early and I’ll have lots of time to try and train you.”
  16.
  17. Thing closed her eyes and relaxed. The human began digging his fingers into her flesh. She allowed her tentacles to become limp as he did. She didn’t know why because her muscles had no need for massages, but it felt wonderful. Perhaps it was an instinct she had inherited from the mammals but his intimate massage seemed to be fulfilling a deep need she didn’t know she had. A need to be touched, cared for, and loved. It was almost like being tickled. It’s impossible to feel that unique feeling of someone else touching you if you do it yourself. It was something, that for all her biological superiority, she couldn’t replicate if she tried.
  18.
  19. Her race knew nothing of intimacy, they had shed all of these quaint “inefficiencies”. A tear gathered in the corner of her eye. She felt sorrow and pity for her race, it was a race of loneliness and cold nothingness. She hiccupped softly as more tears began leaking from her eyes. Her race systematically snuffed out love of lesser creatures, wonderful feelings they didn’t understand. She was glad that she came to this world broken. It didn’t deserve to be tainted by her evil weaponized viral biology.
  20.
  21. A very soft moan of sorrow escaped her mouth. The way he caressed her was like nothing she had ever experienced. Her racial memory was utterly void of such love. Tears flowed and she hiccupped. That such beauty could come from a seemingly quaint and primitive organism was incredibly surprising.
  22.
  23. Anon slowed his massage. Thing’s small serpent upper body was shaking with a soft sob. Anon slowly and gingerly brought his hand up to her face. He was confused, what had he done wrong? He brought his thumb under her eye, wiping away the tear.
  24.
  25. “What’s wrong, Amber? Why are you crying?” Anon felt helpless and bewildered. All of her tentacles were relaxed and limp. He caressed her small head with worry and confusion.
  26.
  27. Amber opened her eyes, giant orbs glistening with tears. They made eye contact, deep and unmoving. Thing had a deep primal desire to somehow reciprocate the beauty she had received from Anon. She needed to do something, but what? As she looked deeply into his eyes, she searched for the answer. She didn’t know how or why, but she suddenly knew. It was instinct.
  28.
  29. A twinkle of inspiration appeared in Thing’s eyes and five tentacles emerged from the water silently behind Anon. She suddenly grabbed his head from behind and raised her own head. She closed her eyes and brought their faces together and gave him a deep kiss. Anon was surprised but he allowed instinct to guide him as well, he closed his eyes and he felt her tongue slide inside his mouth and wrap around his small stubby one and squeeze. More tentacles wrapped around his body and gave him a big hug. Finally she released her grasp on his head and retracted her tongue, breaking the kiss.
  30.
  31. Anon was astonished and amazed. He stared at her, his mouth in the shape of a big O. He looked at Amber. The eldritch horror looked incredibly emotionally vulnerable, her eyes full of hope and love. It was amazingly, wonderfully strange. Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that he would be in a relationship with some sort of alien shapeshifter. She had just displayed an intense expression of love. She was beautiful, intelligent, and horrifyingly powerful. She was also vulnerable, emotional, worried and desperate for love. What mysteries lied within the mind and emotions of this amazing creature? Such possibilities were wonderful and exciting. An opportunity like this may never come again.
  32.
  33. Anon smiled and brought his hands around the crying eldritch horror’s face and slid them down her long serpent neck, laying her head on his shoulder as she sobbed more intensely and cried in ernest. The human had accepted her sudden advances with love and understanding. In her mind it was a miracle.
  34.
  35. “We’ll get through this, Amber. I don’t care if I have to stay with you forever. Whatever it is that is making you cry, we’ll get through it and we can be together as long as I’m alive.”
